Q, Eddie's only got a 100 ft Teleport to places he can percieve. Are you really going to have him try and jump blind underground? Without accurate, that might be kinda hazardous.

Phantom gave Malice a look of acute dislike at his hysterical ramblings, "It really doesn't matter at the moment. There is still rubble to be cleared and work to be done. Questions can, and should, come after we've dealt with the disaster itself." She glanced out at the few heroes remaining. Phantom was not happy with the one fact Malice did appear to be right on. Several of the heroes had left the scene. Phantom could only hope that equally important matters held their attentions. Malice wasn't the only individual that called Riverside home. She nodded once at Ace before quietly telling the head of the men, "You have my skills as long as they're of use."

"Everyone here is too tired. Unnaturally so. I don't think they're threats but they might be victims. If Mark saw someone in the water park, I think its worth checking out," Alex agreed quietly. She leaned into Mark's steadying presence and closed her eyes. It went without saying that she'd send her senses over there first. As she tried to get a look over at the waterpark she also added, "I brought a costume this time."

"Well, I'll just have to see how I do without someone knocking my ball into the lake on the third hole," Taylor chuckled and took her own putter in hand, her other still linked easily around Jack's arm, "You're probably right. I've been out of touch with any real social groups at school. I know my co-workers do the bowling thing though. I generally skip out on that group activity. My boss always drinks too much and then things end up turning awkward quickly." At the first hole, Taylor dropped her touch on his arm and slipped to the side, gesturing for him to proceed her with a teasing grin, "Why don't you go first?"

Phantom watched her companion slip below the pavement once more. She switched her gaze to Knieval, wanting nothing more than to blast him into the ground alongside his compatriot. After giving him one baleful glare, her hands dropped to her sides and she streaked down to where Dark Star had dissapeared. Not knowing how his powers worked, she had no idea if he'd turn solid inside the earth somewhere or simply plummet straight through. Either way, she wouldn't turn her back on Dark Star. Not even if it meant letting Knieval get away. She only hoped that he'd still be there when she emerged from the ground once more. Leaving behind the Captain, Phantom sank quickly below the city's surface, calling for Dark Star as she followed his path through the earth.
-
She looked up at him, and her cheek dimpled as she laughed, "So I see. You're not the only one. Although, all of my closet is arguably retro." Taylor swept one hand down at the flared skirt and top with their definate 50s appearance and slipped through to his side. With an amused glance over at the teenagers, she gestured to the course itself, "I had no idea this place would be so popular on a Friday night. One last hurrah before school starts, I suppose. I hope you're as bad at this game as I am. My family used to come here all the time when we were kids. I wasn't the worst but Jackson would end up getting frustrated and just start aiming his golf ball at fouling up everyone else's shots." Her eyes sparkled at the memory as they slipped in line to get their clubs and balls from the clerk.

Rather than do something like start quoting the safest cars on the road, which Alex did actually knew, she turned to James with a grin and pointed out, "Well, you could take us in your car and explain what makes it quite so cool. Then we'd have something to gauge it off of. You could even let one of us drive it." Alex smiled up at him, her tone playful and even expectant that James would shoot down that idea. She knew Erin wanted to drive the car and that James was fond of his vehicle. Either way, both of her friends would probably have fun with James pointing out the special qualities of his 'sweet ride' as Eddie called it.

Although movie night scheduling had gone smoothly, Taylor had been forced to call and arrange to meet Jack at the Southside Putt 'N Play rather than at her apartment. For once, it had been utterly mundane matters. First there'd been something with her brother's upcoming nuptuals, and then a snag with her school schedual this quarter. As it was, once she'd gotten dressed and ready, she didn't even bother with fighting the ancient engine of the car and had just ported to a back alley within easy walking distance. Even so, she was still running a few minutes late, when she reached the entrance and started looking around for Jack. Since this was the sort of activity that resulted in at least an hour or two of standing, she'd slipped on sandals to go with the flared skirt and fitted camisole top. As usual, she'd twisted her hair up in a clip as she'd simply run out of time to do anything like curl it. Not that the thick mass ever held anything like a curl with any but the most extreme of hair-products. Taylor hurried up the steps, before realizing that even with the slight lift of her sandals, she couldn't see over anyone to try and find Jack. For a moment, it was very tempting to float up above the crowd. It was a little galling to realize that the crowd of high school students she was trying to get through all had a good few inches on her, even in shoes.

A thread for Phantom and Avenger, on the Mini-Golf course in Southside. AA, how does 8/21 work for you?
-
That's the plan. With the addition of zapping whoop ant if he gets all agro after we control the scientist.

Once she'd shifted down, Grim's perceptions warped with her form. Under the almost over powering alley smells was a much fainter trail. Grim found the scent trail of the high end soap and subtle perfume that could only belong to their would be witch. Even fainter than that was the scent of something even more out of place. Below the scents of the city was the faintest odor of wild places, a hint of ozone like the air before the storm and the wet earth smell of the deep caverns and places still hidden from man. Scents that should not be in the middle of this urban sprawl. The wild scent wound its way almost casually out of the alley and down the street. It smelled... smug. Smug and quietly, dangerously angry.

Well, I can't have Phantom react until DS falls over so, lets have Cy post then I'll go.

"I dunno if that's a good idea, Eddie, you might end up splinching yourself half in a wall," Alex said doubtfully as she looked up at the old church. She shook her head at Mark's question, "Not that I'm aware of but Mom avoids just about any of her Flightpath days, so no big surprise" Down below the church grounds, James appeared in a dusty access tunnel. There was the whining of gears before a white cloud of gas puffed up from the floor. James could thank his demonic parentage that the knock out gas only made him cough once or twice, while the dust it stirred up stung his eyes. Once the air cleared, he could see the windy tunnel stretch in both directions, back toward the church and the other direction northward. The tunnel itself was some rarely used and likely forgotten access tunnel to pipes below the city's foundations.

Alex gave Erin a cheery smile and shrugged her shoulders. "No big deal, you'll lock it all down eventually." Alex said, meaning every word. Not only did she have faith in Erin's potential, but Alex had a remarkabally good grasp on just how important half the things studied in high school were. It really made very little difference in the long run. "And we're not in a hurry." She turned back to James and gave him a tiny grin, "Well, I've never driven anything at all, so I've got nothing to go on as far as preferences. Erin's driven cars before, though!"
-
So who's up in the ic thread?
-
Alex paused before accepting the swirl of glow in the dark cotton candy, her solemn gaze flicking over the fellow manning the booth. Cotton candy in hand, she flicked her gaze around the food court and took an unconcious step closer to Mark. It was hard to put her finger on but something just seemed, well, creepy.
-
Alex returned Mark's smile with a bright one of her own before she glanced around to do a quick headcount and announce, "We've fit this many in the car before." Slightly swinging her linked hand, she glanced back at JJ and asked curiously, "So what has you interested in a team to begin with?"
-
Well, Phantom could go after ds while Knieval slips away? She's never fought alongside DS and has no way of knowing when or if he'll get better.
-
"Well, this time I did give him a heads up about JJ. The rest of it, just luck I imagine." Alex volunteered a little breathlessly from her jog over. Her favorite study spot wasn't too far from the impromptu gathering place but she'd still hustled to meet up with them. "Hi, I'm Alexandra Albright. My friends call me Alex though." Alex flashed JJ a smile that lit up her face. Always brightly dressed, today the petite redhead had a red t-shirt with her pegged jeans. That might have been sedate if it hadn't been trimmed in an almost reflective yellow along all the seams. Her hair was clipped back with a sparkly green pair of barretts. She tilted her head at Mark as she paused to catch her breath, her tone warm, "I'm pretty sure Mark can answer all your questions on Young Freedom. He's pretty much our fearless leader."
-
Alex laughed and wrinkled her nose at Mark playfully, "In that highly unlikely scenario, of course. I don't think anyone here has anything to worry about on Free-Fall. It's really remarkably well made for a ride." She threaded her fingers through his, lightly swinging their joined hands as the teens waited in the breif line for Free Fall, "I don't think we stayed until nightime last time. That was after curfew so we left right 'around sunset. Glow in the dark cotton candy?" The last was said with the eager enthusiasm of someone who loved all things day-glo.
-
"Oh, most likely. I put in to keep her as my room-mate. Dunno, we might get moved rooms though. They open up a bunch more dorms when the school year starts. Well, obviously, I guess. There's a lot more students!" Alex laughed at her own statement of the obvious and pushed her now empty tray away. "Most people aren't as into school stuff as I am. Everyone does their own thing which is neat. I mean, Eddie's got his music. I have no musical talents so it's cool to live vicariously. That's really my favorite part of this. Everyone's got their own perspective on stuff. Really opens your eyes to things."
-
"I like the whole class thing way better than tutors too," Alex agreed easily, "I mean, I guess the whole one on one thing works in a lot of cases but I'd rather have friends. I mean, this is the first time that its ever been more than just me and Mike. It's awesome!" Alex beamed at him, obviously including James in her sweeping group of friends, "I like living in the dorms too. 'Course, Erin is an easy roommate which helps, I'm sure. Do you have a roommate assignment?"

1d20+13=24 Notice for Psyche with Enh Wis

I'm guessing we're getting to init: 1d20=9

I'm hoping there won't be a fight. Hellion and I will work on the scientist. Breakdown, you and H have Whoop Ant if he proves problematic. Kill any cameras in the lab before but I don't think we've got any in the lab. Psyche confirmed. She switched back to concealing the group from any minds that might wander in as they positioned for the attack.
