  1. "I don't usually fly places but I suppose I can make an exception." Phantom said with dark amusement but her hand vanished inside her cloak and she floated aloft, leading the way to a cushly appointed penthouse. Phantom landed on the balcony and walked through the closed door which she opened for Grim. While Grim looked around, Phantom set their captured witch on the couch and actually pulled a cellphone out of her cloak. Inside the penthouse was tastefully decorated with clean lines and comfortable furniture. They were in a spacious living room, with the lights turned down low. There was a large tv in one corner and two glasses of wine sitting on the low coffee table. One had lipstick on the rim and the other did not although they were both half gone. Phantom had to push back her cowl to use the phone. Beneath the hood, she still wore a mask that covered her face from nose to brow. Someone took their secret identity seriously. Still, in only the mask, Grim could see thick jet-black hair pulled back in a short ponytail and Phantom's features had a distinct asian-cast to them once you got past the glowing white eyes. Phantom left a curt message for Ace Danger, informing him of the girl's condition and where-abouts before hanging up.
  2. Nope. I'm just figuiring out my response ;)
  3. The com-bots around Edge and Breakdown exploded in showers of sparks and droid squeals. Wander bounded across the field and with one slam of her fist, the shielding cracked and fizzled around the droid protecting Tech Kid, who looked... intruiged. The attacked droid fired off an array of blasts at Wander from its guns while the newly rebuilt droid protected Mystic Force within a similar shield. Mystic Force clearly looked concerned, however his gaze was trained on the now dangerously listing Pitchoo.
  4. Sorry, Electra As it was I had to blow HP to keep you from all being too darn effective. Mystic Force is going to make his reflex save: 19 He is not squished by the Pitchoo. Geckoman, you'll skid to a stop about twenty feet away from where you intend to land. You do churn up another wide swath of turf. You do not, however, crash into the stands and kill a bunch of innocent bystanders althought the Pitchoo's nose stops within spitting distance of them. Edge will take out his trio of droids as will Breakdown. Wander will destroy the forcefield the droid is projecting, shorting it out. The droid is still active, however. Round Three (Bold for characters okay to post) Wander: 25, 3 HP - Uninjured Breakdown: 24, 3 HP - Bruised, Fatigued Edge: 21, 3 HP - Uninjured Big Bads: 20 - Demons are gone, 2 robots (One newly "repaired") Phalanx: 19, 2 HP - Fatigued Geckoman: 18, 3 HP - Uninjured (Crash landing) (not counting HP spent this round on pilot reroll) GM: It'll take your standard action to land the Pitchoo. Demon Patrols: 10 - Dead or gone Hellion: 9, 3 HP - Uninjured Mystic Force: 8 - Uninjured Psyche: 7, 2 HP - Fatigued The Tech Kid: 6 - Uninjured Robot Patrols: 5 - 5 patrols (three marching up the Stairs towards Psyche, one engaged with Edge, one with Breakdown) The robots will attempt to fire. The one with the shorted out field will attempt to fire at Wander 1d20+8=20 DC 20 toughness save. The other droid (newly rebuilt) will activate its field protecting itself and Mystic Force within. Enemies on the field: Two large battle droids. One shorting and engaged with Wander, the second protecting Mystic Force. Tech Kid is on the field of battle, no longer protected within a forcefield. Both Edge and Breakdown have dealt with there groups. There are nine com-bots walking up the stairs to attempt to get to the control room. Ya'll can post as soon as I put in an IC post for the bad guys.
  5. Honestly, I was just trying to represent a difficulty for the 'shard dimension Phantom calls home' which I figure would be a knowledge arcane check to break into as concealment works on whatever knowledge check it would take to find the HQ. And I'm not heart-set on Temporal-Limbo. There are lots of things to spend points on for a HQ :D
  6. Phantom inclined her head, having remained silent while the knights decided on their strategy. She wasn't as shaken at the idea of a fallen Centurion in any dimension but her expression was quietly world weary. For all of her own pragmatism, she had no desire to show the Knights what could have been or force them to deal with the shock of an alternate future but there were no other options. "Very well, if your compatriots can meet us there, I can take anyone that needs transportation." She gestured, spreading her cloak wide, her form shrouded by the flickering darkness, forming a man sized portal between iher cloaks ragged edges.
  7. Psyche suceeds: 25
  8. Top of Round 3 Wander: 25, 3 HP - Bruised Breakdown: 24, 3 HP - Bruised Edge: 21, 3 HP - Uninjured Big Bads: 20 - Demons are gone, 2 robots (One newly "repaired") Phalanx: 19, 2 HP - Fatigued Geckoman: 18, 3 HP - Uninjured (Crash landing) (not counting HP spent this round on pilot reroll) Demon Patrols: 10 - Dead or gone Hellion: 9, 3 HP - Uninjured Mystic Force: 8 - Uninjured Psyche: 7, 2 HP - Fatigued The Tech Kid: 6 - Uninjured Robot Patrols: 5 - 5 patrols (three marching up the Stairs towards Psyche, one engaged with Edge, one with Breakdown) A few minor corrections. Wander, Edge, Breakdown: go ahead and post, then I'll put up robot actions. Then everyone else can respond, then I'll go again and we'll be back at the top of the round. Playball! (Minor addendum, I'll get your dodge roll for MF in a sec here, Ecal so you know what you're hitting with your ship)
  9. Alex wasn't enjoying her first concert over much. The music was good, but she was dutifully keeping mental tabs on the pair in the corner which was both embarassing and uncomfortable. Although emotionally well adjusted, Alex could have done without the window into the teen boy's psyche. She was halfway tempted to go and dance with Eddie just to get away from the stirring of her water with oddly timed blushes. For someone who had spent such time shielding her thoughts, Alex was feeling a little exposed with them down. She accepted the shirts and visor from Mark with a smile of thanks and pulled the shirt over her head.
  10. AD is right, and that roll will net Breakdown that little factoid. Psyche is talking about the giant screen.
  11. Fine by me :)
  12. AA: Here's your reroll: 17
  13. Ecal, the HP isn't for the fact that its not working, its for the fact that you're going to have to spend your next round dealing with the Pitchoo rather than really engaged in combat. You can give me a drive/pilot check to land it, but not to fix it. The Pitchoo is outta the fight. You could crash it into the field but it would be very hard to hit Mystic Force and not hit Phalanx who is right by them.
  14. Wander again was first into the fray, rapidly destroying one of of the battle-droid formations. Meanwhile, Breakdown's song and dance effectively sent two of the demons charging after their bigger counterpart on the field. The larger demon gave them the same look that they'd given their crooning compatriot earlier. That little demon seemed to be too focused on Breakdown as it flapped its way accross the field, still crooning softly after the teen. While Edge focused the Technomancers on him, Phalanx took the chance to take to the skies, driving downward to create a concussive blast that roared through the stadium, churning up earth as it went by. The fighting demons were pulped as was the one that had raked at Phalanx with its flaming claws on his way up. Unfortunately, while the teen terrors had been preoccupied with their leader, one of the demons had charged Wander, raking at her with claws that flamed wickedly. The robots, meanwhile had set up glittering forcefields to protect their masters. Just in time, too! As a strike from the Pitchoo rained down, aimed at Mystic Force (whose name did sound an awful lot like a Power Rangers series)! The forcefield took the brunt of the blast and the electricity from the Pitchoo arced through the field and into the droid. Some loop seemed to close as the power surged back up through the Pitchoo's controls, shorting out the switches that allowed Geckoman to control the airship! The droids that were not engaged with Edge and Breakdown form up on the fields edge, awaiting orders while Hellion begins to order the demons about in his father's unspeakable tongue. Whatever Hellion says to them seems frighteningly effective as the demons break off from their targets to debase themselves at Hellion's feet before crawling into burning abysses that open beneath them. Mystic Force seems outraged by the abduction of 'his' demons. The Tech Kid might be slightly smug, as his droids are faring much better thus far in the battle, but only because they haven't been the heroes focus. Yet. Sputtering with outrage, Mystic Force shrieks, "I call forth a Magic Missle!" and several colored bolts of light (eight, if you were counting) thump into Edge's chest. Jarringly, Psyche projects to everyone on the field, her mental voice audible to heroes and would-be-villians alike. "I got it! They're powering it through the Freedom-tron. That's what's diffusing the array. If you destroy that, I think I can safely power everything down from the control room." The Tech Kid freezes as he realize there's been a psychic picking out his precious secrets and orders his droids to, "Get the girl! Stop her!" He fires up a lightsaber in one hand, red naturally, and begins fixing the smoking droid with some small handheld device with the other.
  15. Okay! 25: Wander, your robots are destroyed. Ker-zorch! 24: Breakdown, you successfully hypnotize the demons who go running into the field. The bemused demon is still following you around like a lost puppy. It doesn't seem hostile, however. 21: Edge, you catch their attention: Tech Kid: 11, Mystic Force: 28 Have an HP for Tech Kid shaking off the affects of the distract to act this round. (Distract, from what I understand is targetted on a single bad guy but I'm giving you the rolls on both because I didn't ask you to specify earlier so it was totally my bad ) 20: Big Robots, Spend their round using create object to put up forcefields over themselves and Tech Kid and Mystic Force: 20: Big Demons, One will attack Wander: 1d20+8=22, One will attack the little demons Breakdown sent their way: 1d20+8=18, One will attack Phalanx: 1d20+8=20 DC 23 Toughness save 19: Phalanx, Demon 2 (fighting little demon):Makes its save: 22 and takes no damage thanks to Evasion, Remaining little demons (You also killed Breakdown's friend!): Squished, Robots: Have an HP for their forcefield absorbing your concussive blast and protecting those behind it, Demon 3 (One fighting Phalanx): Fails to get out of the way: 15, Is Pasted: 13, Demon 1 (Fighting Wander): Squirms out of the way and takes no damage thanks to Evasion: 20 18: Geckoman, as the force fields are up, your attack hits the field in front of Mystic Force. It does blow up, completely shorting out the droid's field and sending an arc of electricity high in the air. On the bright side, it shorts out the droid completely. On the downside, it also shorts out the Pitchoo's controls. Have an HP for the setback. 10: Patrols, Droid patrols that are not engaged (One remains with Edge, one with Breakdown) start forming up in a block on the (now decimated) greens. They are forming up a rifleman formation and holding their action for orders. Patrol on Breakdown: Two will Fire, 1d20+4=11, 1d20+4=23, One will have his gun jam. DC 19 Toughness Save Patrol on Edge: Two will Fire, 1d20+4=24, 1d20+4=11, One will have his gun jam. DC 19 Toughness Save 9: Hellion, calls out in his demon tongue. The demons haven't a prayer of making that bluff check. After debasing themselves at Hellions feet, the two demons still standing vanish into hell. Have an HP for your complication, Hellion. 8: Mystic Force, fires magic missle at Edge: 1d20+8=27 Hit! DC 23 Toughness save 7: Psyche, power-stunts her communication this round, spending a hero point. 6: The Tech Kid, fires up a lightsaber in one hand (red of course) and, while yelling commands, begins rapidly fixing the droid. 5: (Patrols now go on 5) The new order will be up after people save vs. damage
  16. Phantom had to say it was the first time someone was eager to travel with her. Of course, Ace's reputation as a thrill seeker was not unearned if her uncle's stories were any indication. "Don't worry, I can take the car too.," The porsche dissapeared into the folds of the cloak before Phantom held a hand out to Ace. "Count from ten down. And you may want to close your eyes." Phantom doubted he would take the advice. When Ace vanished into the folds of her cloak he found himself wieghtless in a black void where soundless explosions of energy crackled and shot across the sky. Before ten seconds were even up, he was yanked back into Earth Prime, behind a stack of dusty crates in the corner of the warehouse. Phantom held one hand out to steady him if he needed it.
  17. Phantom did one last survey of the area, making sure that she was satisfied that Earth Prime was once more secure. That concluded, she 'ported to the nearest hero trying to rescue a civilian. Phantom figured that Dark Star could handle one injured villian and if he couldn't, she could bring reinforcements. Phantom teleported into the room where Avenger was herding cats with a hissed wince. She solidified quickly but not before the fires singed several areas of her ephemeral cloak. She still winced away from the bright flames, neither looking directly at them or the other hero as she offered her aid.
  18. "I think Chris is planning on making out with her for further recon," Alex wrinkled her nose, her expression unhappy with the plan of action. 'Chris, I'll keep an ear on you but an emotion controller might be able to detect my presence. Just a warning.' Alex reached out to lightly touch Mark's wrist to get his attention as she leaned in to explain quietly, "I dunno how good her emotion controller friend is but there's a chance that I may not be able to tell if she's messing with him. They're usually a subtle lot, especially the ones with no morals."
  19. 'Hurry, Scarab,' Phantom urged, her tone still wary of this course of action. 'With my senses extended this way, I can offer very little mystical protection. Let us get whatever information you need quickly.'
  20. They squeaked and thrust the book in question out at Grim, scampering off into the night. Phantom looked down at the woman, "Belladonna Nightshade although her birth name is Susannah Bennett. She's from one of the upper-crust families of Freedom. Her mother's died when she was very young and she's been fascinated with the occult since her teen years. I've seen her before. The money does tend to get her access to all sorts of trinkets she really shouldn't have. One of these times I'll be returning a corpse rather than her unconcious form to the penthouse." She sighed, frustrated as the woman disapeared in the folds of her cloak. After the woman vanished in a crackle of eldritch light, Phantom held out a hand to Grim. At first, it looked like she was waiting for the vial until she spoke, "Are you coming?" Phantom tilted her head to Grim, her expression curious under the cowl. She was solid still, and standing, it was clear that she was perhaps five feet tall, perhaps an inch more. The cloak added volume to her form but she wasn't using any of those tricks at the moment.
  21. The Captain succeeded in ticking off Phantom. It, unfortunately did not result in his hoped for response. Instead the hero's eyes glowed murderiously, darkening to black and she gestured, calling out one sharp unpronouncable word and an expanding field of crackling black energy exploded around her. In the midst of the explosion, Phantom dove down to retrieve her fallen comrade, diving into the earth itself where she'd seen him vanish.
  22. Well, that was my standard action. I'll still take my move and toss a post up but that answer was what I was waiting on :D
  23. I'll stunt this off Phantom's Magic Array, then go after where Dark Star fell into the earth as she doesn't know he can heal: Blast x 10 (Touch Range, Area of Effect (Burst), Affects Substantial) Reflex Save 20 to avoid, 25 Toughness save if failed, 20 Toughness save if avoided.
  24. Lesse, for my action, I'm gonna do one last search of the area to make sure I got the dimensions all closed. Priorities: Phantom has them. Notice check: 1d20+10=26
