Robin didn't mind the bus, whether that was riding on top of it or actually paying the fare. She linked her fingers with Riley's, letting her muscular shoulder lean against his with comfortable ease. Robin was always aware of her surroundings but after a couple of years spending her days thumping Fens drug dealers and gangsters into submission, she was never too worried that they might come across a bigot or two on the bus. Still, there were other dangers she was well aware of, though as she moved into late teens entirely, there were much less side-eyes for teenagers traveling alone than there had been when she was younger. "Tch," Robin gave a shake of her head in Riley's direction, one of the slight smiles that softened her features curving her lips. "I'm glad you think so. I don't exactly fit the typical ideal of beauty." She gave a shrug of her shoulders, more comfortable in her skin than most teenagers would have been even as she acknowledged the truth. "I got good hair, I'll admit that." She teased back lightly, almost playfully before adding, her tone gentling, "No one I'd rather be out with either... we got a special occasion that we're celebrating?"

There's no reason that Volcanic would know the city well enough to know that, so I'm not going to even roll for the Knowledge. Volcanic Initiative: 16

Renegade had been in movement the moment that the entity had gone flying through the window, following after the faster speedsters with grim intent. Though he'd been wracking his brain for what spell might spend this monstrosity out of this realm and back where it belonged, the wet crack of skull against stone caught his attention. In a blur of fiery wings and a burst of speed that Renegade hadn't thought his fleshy prison possessed; the angel dove towards the fallen hero. That he was moving, that was good, but they needed everyone in this fight; and they didn't need Hologram distracted from her battle above. Renegade's wings mantled out as he landed hard next to the speedster and he reached out carefully. The enochian tattoos flared to life along his tattooed skin and although the hands were very gentle on Fast-Forward's battered flesh, the rush of energy that flowed from angel to man was almost searing in its intensity and for a moment superimposed over the blonde man was the angel bound inside his body; burning and bright and ancient. Renegade was well aware that he was pushing the tattoos tapping into his divine energy to the utmost limits and there would probably be a price to pay for this day - if he survived it at all. "// Mend //," the creature commanded Fast-Forward's body in its native language; and it did.

Nighthawk will drop down behind the Gunslinger to thwack him in the head. Attack Roll: 30 A natural 20, which is a crit. Woot!

As much as I want to do something super bad ass and ritual the bad-angel to hell or something, I think Ray should probably use his healing power on Fast-Forward so Paige can concentrate and leave Phalanx to wrassle the demon. Boo, fighting smart He'll switch his array to his healing effect for this and then surge to get the movement action needed to get to Fast Forward: Alternate Power: Healing 10 (Benediction) (Extra: Total, Restoration, Flaws: Limited to Others, Power Feats: Persistant, Regrowth) [32 PP] And use that on Fast-Forward for his action this round.

Sofía's hand twitched on her phone, a small tell but she arrested it when no move was made for the weapons. She gave Red Rat a considering look, tipping her head to the side before she acknowledged her handle with a small nod. "Lovelace is as good a name as any," she agreed with a slight movement over her shoulders. After a moment, she flicked her fingers over her phone and returned it to the pocket of her hoodie. "Nice to meetcha. Do you go by Red Rat or just 'Rat' or...?" There was something good-naturedly jocular with her question, as if they weren't having conversation about highly illegal activities. Though, Sofía did have to correct one thing. "There's a few better - not many - and almost no one that'll walk that grey line." Because frankly, there were some superhuman technopathy type folks out in the world but they tended to fall strongly white or black in their activities. She turned her attention back fully to Jason and his request. His request went largely against Sofía's personal ethos but she was willing to withhold posting any information and give him a chance to do what he could. "Right, sure, you get the information," she agreed, fully intending to keep her own back up copies of the data; just in case. Sofia lied well; she had a lot of practice at doing it with her family so she smiled disarmingly and met the man's eyes, "I am a thief, though, so I expect to get paid. Favors owed might be an acceptable alternative revenue stream."

Robin will blow her HP to acquire interpose and do so, yes. Tou Save: 19 And I do not think that she can spend more than one HP a round so she'll take it.

Robin watched his movements thoughtfully and with only a small amount of hesitation, took her backpack off of one shoulder and very carefully tucked it behind Riley's weapons. She took a small, steadying breath as if bolstering her will from reaching out to grab it. If Riley wanted a more normal night, she could do that; she could! Plus, she was pretty sure these places checked bags and Robin didn't want to have some stranger pawing through her few belongings. Blowing out the breath, she offered Riley a small smile. "Doesn't matter, it'll be something new and fun and not work, right?" Robin replied as she went to press a quick kiss to Riley's cheek before she headed for the roof's edge. Gracefully, she swung down into the shadows between the church and other buildings, and once Riley had joined her, slipped her hand into his. "If they're trash, we'll still find a way to enjoy ourselves, right?"

INTERCEPTED by Fox. Please add Interpose to Nighthawk's feat list for 1 PP!

A year ago, less than that maybe, that sort of request would have earned a blank look and even a slight frown. Despite her recalcitrance, there was real progress being made on Robin's ability to do things other than comb the streets in search of some sort of peace with the past. She was already giving a small nod of her head in agreement only to catch the hitch in Riley's voice at the end. "Hey, we're a team. Even if I wanted to work; I think you get at least an equal vote in what we do for the night." Robin's reassurance came with a quick squeeze of his fingers and a bump of her shoulder into the archer's. Reaching up to tuck an errant curl back behind her ear, Robin added, "Something else sounds fun... you okay?" she added, already beginning to shed the layers of 'work clothes' such as they were. In Robin's case, switching to civvies only involved swapping out t-shirts and putting the hoodie back on after wards.

Sofía's attention might have been on her phone but with the sort of casual area awareness of a kid who'd grown up in the bad parts of Bedlam (and there were few good parts). Sliding her finger across her phone absently, the interface changed as a man settled in next to her. It certainly didn't look like any standard mobile operating system to close examination as the device was in no way off the rack; but at a quick glance it could have been any smart phone in a case. For a moment, Sofía considered razzing the man but she didn't know him well enough. The hand holding her phone fell casually to her hip as she offered a small but cocky smile, "Didn't figure you were looking for help cuz it was a walk in the park," she agreed, her other fingertips absently flicking the brim of her hat up. Her accent was faint but clear in the rise and fall of her words and she didn't make effort to repress it. Her attention was focused on the man in the trench-coat and she didn't notice Red Rat ghosting up, but as Sofía was not a trusting person by and large, the screen she'd swiped to held the command to set off the flash-bang software in her phone - just in case things went south. "Whatchu need?"

Robin was nominally taking advantage of the school program; she wasn't about to turn down free food, after all, but had been largely spending her time in the place she considered home, the Fens. Her footfalls were quiet but still noticeable to the archer's keen hearing, the quick beats of his girlfriend's faster-than-human footsteps and then the pause as she leapt for the corner of the building. She was up and over the roof edge a moment later, landing lightly on her sneakers. Since her father's jacket had been destroyed, she'd switched her work-clothes to an open hoodie over her t-shirt and worn jeans. Still, she dropped down next to Riley with the same loose-limbed grace and her smile was bright. "I never get everything done that I want to," she replied back, looking more at ease than she had last week; it had been a better week of patrols and the weather had been god. "But its been a good day. How are your classes going?"

We really got to teach you about dead drops, kiddo. K. I'll be there. Sofía killed her connection as soon as she'd given her assent, trusting that her many layers of personal security were more than sufficient for any back-tracking as she swung up from her chair to head for a shower and a change of clothes. In short order, she'd shed her clothes for an unremarkable black thermal and similarly dark BDU's. She paused to take out her piercings as on the off chance things turned ugly, she really didn't want someone hooking a finger through an errant silver hoop. It was her hair that she had to spend the most time on, braiding it and tucking it up under a dark cap. Sofi was well aware her one vanity would be the sort of thing that would stick out. Once her curls had been hidden under layers, she pulled on a hoodie. Her phone and bag of tricks were tucked into the many pockets of her clothes. In sensible shoes, she left her apartment; locking up after to head for the bus. No way she was driving her car to this sketchy get up. When she got there, early, she leaned her hip against the back of the bench to absently surf on her phone, absently cracking her bubble gum as she waited for this contact. At least it made for an interesting evening.

Leilani, thankfully, missed both Aquaria's question and the ensuing answer as she let her bare shoulder brush Dimitri's, "Don't got too many skills, but I can keep the water plenty warm," she replied - flirted, really - back in return. "I'm even a certified life guard now. I won't leave you to freeze, if you decide to jump in." She arched both brows, in subtle challenge and invitation, a small smile curving her lips before she pivoted to shed her sarong by the fire. Bending over, she scooped up the new fiberglass board, purchased with the largess of her first beach paycheck. "I did promise surfing lessons, though. Grab a board, Daphne. Getting the hang of its easy - mastering it can take a life time, though." Her bi colored gaze fell on Dimitri over her shoulder, "Take whatever pictures you want - and wave me over if you wanna join in, yeah?"
-
"Still doesn't feel like a 'gift' a lotta the time, gotta admit," Leilani said with a wry smile, "I mean, the flying's pretty much the best but I going through a lotta clothes at this rate. Not to mention sandals." Twirling one finger absently. she coaxed the last of the ice in her glass to melt with a flick of her fingertips. The ice hissed as it dropped from solid to gas almost too fast. "I s'pose I could get a career working as a sauna. People like hot rock massages, right? Probably not too hot though." She laughed, letting her hand drop back down as the steam dissipated from her glass. "I'm still trying to get a handle on THIS world. It's a lot different than the one I knew. Kinda afraid how unfamiliar my island has become if I ever go back."

"Everyone, scatter," Nighthawk shouted, only slightly broken by a cough in the face of Woodsman's stinky arrows. "Out, out!" She wished that she wasn't wearing her costume as at least then she'd have been able to pull her t-shirt up over her nose and mouth. Still, she'd make do. At least she was used to those arrows by now. Shifting her weight on the balls of her feet, she put herself in the middle, between the other students and her group of friends. Silently, she prayed the Alkahest would flee the stench towards the clearer air beyond the window but Nighthawk was braced for the inevitable wrestling re-match if it came to that. "I'll cover you."
-
Nighthawk is going to switch to defensive stance and hold her attack to ready an action to defend her teammates escape, also in case she has to wrangle Alkahest through the window (which should be fun!)

Sofía Orellana, or L0vel@ce, if you preferred her online pseudonym, tried to keep her meatspace identity well aware from her technological activities. It was, after all, how she'd safely amassed a tidy nest egg without anyone the wiser. Still, she wasn't above making an exception for the right reason, or the right price, and this appealed to both of those drives. Hell, bragging rights alone for cracking HBC might be worth the risk. No guts, no glory after all. Plopping into her frayed office chair, Sofía booted up her laptop as she reached up to pull back her cotton candy pink and seafoam green curls into an absent minded pony tail. Puffing out a breath, she blew an errant curl from her eyes as her fingers flew over the keyboard. Hey, In$id3r... The white curve of her smile was lit only by the reflective light of her computer screens. I'll be your huckleberry. ^_- When and where?

Volcanic sped over, stopping short of the man to focus and draw her heat back inside. Without the protection of molten armor and stone, the press of the water became very, very real. With significant effort, she pushed the memory of drowning under Hilo's waves from the forefront of her mind and focused, instead on the vice holding the man's leg tight. With hands of flesh rather than fire, Leilani reached forward to shape the rock away from his body, thankful for the long hours of swimming that had taught her to hold her breath deep in her chest. A few bubbles escaped her as the rock melted away under her touch and she reached out to hook her arms under the man's torso, not unlike the lifeguard carry she used on the beach. Focusing, she used the same power that she had in the air to shove them both towards the surface before they truly began to drown. Although the water under her kicking feet was almost uncomfortably warm, it didn't scald the way it might have in her other form. Just a little... more...

It had been a while since Natalya Browning, the infamous Bombshell, had made a public appearance but that wasn't out of character for the WWII heroine at all. The one-time spy and soldier stepped out of her own Bentley, one long leg at a time, tossing the keys to the valet when he appeared. Since it was a public appearance, Talya was dressed in her signature black, wearing a high necked, backless dress that was slit to well above the thigh. With her golden curls and her red-as-sin lips, she looked nothing like a woman who'd had twins less than a month ago; which, really, was the main reason she was here tonight. One more layer of deception between Talya Browning and the woman who lived with the Espadas family. Still, just because it was work, didn't mean it wasn't also fun. Gliding forward easily on her equally soot black heels, Talya waited for the woman in front of her to pay and took a chance to glance over those arriving. With her clutch tucked absently in one hand, Talya's gaze cut to Sir Card first before moving over his guests.

Talya hits a 20 on her Gather Information with Skill Mastery. She's going in her public identity as Natalya Browning, her actual identity as she doesn't really have a secret identity (she has a secret life but she's a former spy). I have her reputation tables in my signature if that helps!
