Stunting off of Leilani's array for 1 HP: Tremor Sense (+ Range [2 PP], Extended 3 [3 PP], Penetrates Concealement [4 PP] ) [9 PP total] if that works? There's more than enough PP in her array to do that.

Even displeased and in pain, Talya couldn't fight the pull of Stesha's soothing. "It's a lovely clinic." Talya agreed after a noticeable pause for yet another round of cramping pain. Her fingers squeezed Dimitri's parka covered arm, despite the ambient chill of doing so. "With lovely people." It was on the tip of her tongue to complain further but she paused as Min's gaze turned on her with palpable concern. Talya sighed. Heavily. "I think so," she agreed with Min, even if the question hadn't been asked of her. It was as graceful a surrender as the former spy was capable of, considering the circumstances. Letting herself be coaxed towards departure, Talya ran through her mental list of 'must haves', short though it might be. "No, wait, my knitting bag," whether irrational desire, or one last delaying tactic, she turned towards the back bedroom as if to fetch the object in question.

Wearing a colorful sundress and sandals, Leilani felt more at home in the open air with smaller shops than she ever did in the buildings that still struck her as oversized and ostentatious. "You were right, this is nice," Leilani commented to Kimber as she paused to take in the windows of one store. She'd not purchased anything herself but Leilani had been happy to come along and enjoy the excursion regardless. The inflation of currency over the years she'd spent in stasis made spending money far more difficult. It wasn't helped that whatever small stipend she had, Leilani owed to the league that had rescued her. Making a mental note to talk to Kimo and see about that lifeguarding position, she offered the other women a friendly smile only to pause as she noticed the faint vibrations through her sandals. "Is... is that normal?" She finally asked, hesitant to call out an oddity when really it might just be yet another strange occurrence due to Freedom City's technology.

Notice check: 16 Terrible roll is terrible!

Content Notices: Violence, Birth Scene Location: Espadas School of Self Defense and Swordsmanship! Date: July 19, 2016 Talya was very good at suppressing the potential consequences for her actions. Leaping off buildings, after all, was much easier if one didn't think about what missing a handhold might mean. Unfortunately, ignoring the eventual ramifications of the biology of how a baby (or two. Two!) would enter the world did not actually prevent the event. The cramps and back ache had only gotten worse despite her refusal to acknowledge that it might not just be late term pregnancy aches and pains. Although, she'd not admitted (and likely never would), it was fairly clear to those closest to Talya that the ex-spy was at least unsettled by the impending birth. Perhaps even frightened. At the moment, though, she was mostly just holding up the relocation to Sanctuary as if not stepping through the portal might some how prevent the next several hours. "I've changed my mind," Talya announced mulishly, her arms crossed over her chest. "Perhaps I could just be unconscious for the entire thing, after all. They still do that, don't they? If we went to the hospital instead, could they just knock me out?" Unlikely to say the least with her magical ability to shake off most things mundane and Talya's mystical biology did not often play well with other magics. Intellectually, she knew that but at the moment, logic was not high on the spy's list. "I'd bounce right back from a c-section. Probably. Almost certainly."

"No one wanna hurt anyone," came Leilani's reassurance as she took a step through the window sill before she took in the smokey figure at her side with a sidelong glance. It wasn't exactly easy to read features when they didn't entirely exist. Tossing the ball from one hand to another absently in the way someone might knead a ball of dough, Leilani wasn't exactly sure of the social dynamics of this sort of thing. Her accent thickened as she gave a small nod of her chin to the stranger, "Hey, buddy. How you?" Her gaze nervously flickered back to where Frost cut off the woman's retreat subtly, "Yeah, s'okay. It's no Kona but what can you do? Not bad enough to throw rocks over."

Leilani missed the noise outside; in as crowded a setting as this was, she had to focus on picking Dimitri's voice out of the ambient noise. High registers and background noises were where her hearing loss was most noticeable so when the rock crashed through the window, she started automatically. Fortunately, Dimitri was right, and she'd gotten much better at suppressing her autonomic responses and nothing erupted in fire around her; a fact she'd be proud about when she recalled it later. Instead, her attention was on the rock and the training she'd done with Gaian Knight. Her mentors were right, doing these sorts of things under duress was a much different matter than when Tarant was lobbing stones at her in practice. Raising one hand like she was going to catch a baseball, Leilani focused with her nascent senses and corrected the trajectory of the rock from its path towards her hand. "Hah!" Leilani muttered as the grapefruit sized stone smacked into her palm, but the satisfaction was short lived as Dimitri was already off to deal with whatever had caused the ruckus. "I can probably help. Here, let me just..." She did pause, still holding the stone as she reached out with her other hand. Glass was just sand and she'd moved sand before, so, similar principle, right? Leilani frowned and stretched out her hand, feeling entirely absurd for the moment before the glass shards began to move under her direction. It would have been easier but she was very focused on not accidentally nicking any of the reasonably distressed people. "I got it, I got it." She muttered mostly to herself as the glass shifted under her attention and clumped into one round ball that at least wouldn't cause anyone harm. "Sorry about your window," she added to the barista before heading for the opening.

"Oh we have overstayed our welcome, I think," Despite her glib response, Talya neatly sidestepped to put Jack of All Blades firmly between herself and the outraged necromancy flinging vampire. Magic and Talya never mixed well and her caution was heightened with a certain awareness of her condition. Still, she managed to make hiding not look quite so much like hiding although the grip on Jack's belt was firm. Talya did not intend to end up on her butt with whatever sort of unpleasantness was in store for leaving this realm. Dropping into it had been bad enough but she rather imagined the flight would be ever so much worse with the dimension fighting to hold onto them. "You have the worst taste in vacations, Ace Danger," she scolded from her spot behind Jack's shoulders, apparently intent on scolding until the portal tossed them hither and yon. "Throwing fairy dust at necromancers. Are you trying to give everyone a headache?"

Renegade shook off the temptation. He, after all, had seen Power in many and varied forms over the year. Tempting an angel was hard, after all, even one on an enforced sabbatical. "But are you going to pay my mortgage? My APR is bloody highway robbery, I tell you." Despite the snark, he stepped forward once the vision had released its hold, kneeling down at the side of the aging Roman's bed. He took one greying hand in his own, the wings of fire and light folded back and tight along his bare back. He held no love for the villain on his death bed - nor did Ray have the power to halt death entirely should he so wish it. Especially not crippled and hampered as he was. With his fingertips against the thready pulse, that same warm glow that had bathed Hologram now rippled down Ray's skin and into the dying man. "I won't hold you up too long," he promised the old man, before he turned his gaze on the antithesis of Azarael, "Besides, we both know I'm not in your league anyways. I'm just a lowly out of favor scribe. Think you might have maybe underestimated the mortals, though. Your lot's fatal flaw."

Nighthawk took a deep, steadying breath at Woodsman's hissed information. She wanted to shake Archer until his teeth rattled but, despite what the gossip mill might say, Nighthawk - Robin - was a hero first and foremost, and her friend needed her help. "Don't let 'em clock me, yeah?" She muttered back to Woodsman about the simulations as she ignored the more present threat - dancing back on nimble feet to pivot. "Hey... Hey, Fred!" Robin called up, reaching to pull the mask from her features as she forced the anger back down inside. Fortunately, she had a lot of experience doing just that. She twisted back, taking a much more defensive stance than she normally chose unless fighting well outside her skill range. "You got this. You GOT this. We need YOU, not the Alkahest today. Please, I need your help to figure out what's going on." It might have been the first time any of this group had heard Robin ask for help. "Please, Fred. You gotta hold on. For me."

Talya was perfectly at ease with Min putting things away, clearly far more content to play with their daughter than fuss over whether the shoes were organized by style or color or merely tossed into spots at random. Her lips curved in a small smile at Eden's cheerful, "Daddy's fault! Daddy's fault!" with the toddler glee of not really knowing what the conversation was about but delighted to participate regardless. "Musn't wake Mia, my love, she'll be ever so cross if worked early from her nap," Talya reminded, pausing in her games to glance up at Min's final question. The smile that softened her features was the small, soft smile that few outside their family were privy to. Talya didn't talk much about the tension with Gina but even with her polished veneer, those that loved her could catch glimpses of real regret when around the Espadas matriarch. "She's coming around, I think," Talya said simply, leaving out the matriarch's concerns that Talya might vanish. She had a feeling that Min would be staunchly loyal and that wouldn't exactly diffuse the tension. The guardian could be rather direct to the discomfit of her more mortal family. "She loves you and Erik very much, and the girls, and most of the world has seen only the image I've crafted. Any mother would be concerned."

"Oh, of course," Leilani agreed as she stood up, lifting her plate as she crossed to the sink to rinse it off. Leilani assumed that there were heroic matters to discuss and despite Dimitri's encouragement, she was well aware that she'd not yet crossed the threshold into hero. "Take whatever time you need. I'd be happy to get the nickel tour. Never been in a castle before, let alone one way up in the sky. She patted Dimitri's arm in reassurance as she turned towards the door and presumptive tour. As Leilani didn't feel the chill, the casual contact was natural. "Don't rush on my account," she suggested, adding, "I'm in no rush to hop back into traffic after all."

There were many prayers, in many languages, and it was safe to say that of the Abrahamic prayers, Ray knew all of them. But instead of picking a more esoteric verse, or one more typically used in Judiac blessings, he simply put one hand on Paige's brow and began as plans were made in a low, resonate tone, "Sh'ma Yisrael Adonai Eloheinu Adonai Eḥad..." Choosing the Shema might have been because it was one of the most repeated prayers: even a largely non-practicing Jew would be familiar with the centerpiece prayer. Or, and more likely given Ray's own theological leanings, he chose it because it was the prayer most often recited in the face of death. It had a certain resonance in Ray's mind as it proceeded the Emet Vayatziv. The words were familiar, comforting, to the angel but all her could think was simply, please. Of all the prayers he'd ever uttered since his exile, Ray wanted this one to reach the ears of the Almighty. The hand on Paige's brow was warm, and the only outward sign that the blessing had an effect was the light that traveled from the angel's palm into the telepath. "I do not think the answer to this lies in Roman's death, but his salvation." The angel said gravely.

"I don't know, there's a lot of shoulder pads that I missed," was Leilani's commentary, having worked her way up to the television and movies of the eighties by now. She'd mostly been working on the slice of cake and listening to the conversation. "And they seem to no longer be popular. I suppose, though, I am glad that I missed big hair as a thing." Crossing her ankles, she relaxed at the light touch on her back as Leilani took that as assurance that any slip up on her part wouldn't hurt the ghost. "Spending some time on the beach sounds fun, though, it's a very different sort of beach with the Atlantic than we enjoy at Hilo. The water is so murky." She gave a little shrug of her shoulders before turning her head towards Dimitri, "Did I mention that Kimo say he might be able to get me a job there? Lifeguarding - they need a few folks."

I like those, AA. Some of us were working on a group of PL 8's with one PL10 because of the whole street-level thing but I think a suggested cap might not be a bad idea!

"And Mia's napping?" Talya clarified even as she laughed and took a step forward to offer her fingertips for Eden to balance on, "I'll teach you how to climb walls in heels, my little love, but not until you're a bit older, I think. We'll learn to scale them first without." Despite her pregnancy, the ex-theif was light on her feet as she bent towards the toddler and when Eden stumbled in the high heels, Talya used the grip on the little girl's hands to swing her up into the air. "I think you've grown just since I left this morning," Talya teased with the easy laughter that few outside of the Espadas household got to see - the genuine smile rather than the practiced, almost taunting grin. Turning her gaze to Min once she'd settled Eden against one hip - a task that was growing more difficult by the day - her blue eyed gaze was warm and affectionate, "I thought I was supposed to be the one nesting."

L0vel@ce / Sofí Orellana Power Level: 8/12 (180/180PP) Unspent Power Points: 0 Trade-Offs: Attack / Damage, Defense / Toughness In Brief: Brilliant cyber-criminal, sticking it to the corrupt and cruel Catchphrase: Theme: Daft Punk (Pentatonix Cover) Alternate Identity: Sofía Orellana, aka L0vel@ce Birthplace: Hardwick Park, Bedlam City Residence: Bedlam City Base of Operations: Bedlam City Occupation: Hacker Affiliations: The Fix Family: Extended and large, Sofí's parents own their small garage in Hardwick Park and she has grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins that are all local to the area, keeping her close to Bedlam even as she keeps quiet what she spends her spare time doing. Description: Age: 27 Apparent Age: 27 Gender: Female Ethnicity: Latina Height: 5'2" Weight: 120 lbs Eyes: Brown, if she's not wearing contacts to change it. Hair: Naturally, dark brown but its rarely the same color for any week in a row. Typically, her long curly hair is dyed in some rainbow of colors. Pink usually factors in over blues and greens but she's been known to regularly switch that up. It's very thick, naturally curly and long enough to reach her hips when dry. It's a bit of a pain in the butt to take care of but it's something of a vanity. Short and curvy, Sofía Orellana is not the most intimidating of figures at first glance, or even second glance. Give the woman even the most rudimentary of tools, though, and she will happily reign cyber destruction like a sweet-faced, vengeful god. She likes to keep her laptop close at hand, so a shoulder bag with a small horde of colorful pins is never too far from her fingertips. Her clothing tends towards practical and fun unless she's currently working on a car, at which point, she's wearing coveralls with her hair tucked tightly under a cap. Build wise, Sofía has some toned muscle under her curves. Girl doesn't slack on the working out just cuz she's a top-tier geek. History: Hardwick Park is not a nice place to grow up but its the only place that Sofía has ever called home. Her large family moved into the area with the influx of the other hispanic families as the neighborhood changed hands. Her parents weren't ever well off by the national metric, but her father owns his garage and takes a great deal of pride in that. Sofía grew up around cars and had a natural knack for fixing things, but her brothers were largely recruited into the mechanic's shop, and her sisters seemed content to staff the front of the shop part time. For her part, Sofía found her calling in fixing up the technology that was always third hand and breaking down around the shop. Without doubt, she's a genius but the public schools around Hardwick aren't exactly designed to help anyone find a way out of Bedlam. She was often bored in classes but while that got some of her cousins and siblings into trouble, Sofía avoided falling in with the local gang, but only because she realized that when money's largely electronic, its pretty easy to move around a few zeroes if you have the means and the know how. Despite her strong feelings on the public right to information and the unfairness of the financial distribution of this country, Sofí has no desire to see people suffer. She'd go full Robin Hood, really, if she wasn't well aware that most of her family, more money would really mean more problems. So, she fixes things, here and there, makes sure that there's enough windfall to keep her large extended family afloat without tipping her hand to her resources, or her skills. About half of her cousins are involved in petty crimes so she's not real eager to help them scale up to the sort of things that get a body killed. Personality & Motivation: Sofí's life choices are about three parts genius to one part stubborn pride. She knows she's very good at what she does, and there's some ego wrapped up in that. Despite her technically criminal endeavors, she's not actually a bad person. Her targets are those that have more than enough, or, in her estimation, don't deserve their good fortune. If the system is inherently broken, then its only fair to change the game. The entire world is full blown Kobayashi Maru in Sofí's book and all she's doing is finding the win. Honestly, Sofí could have left this two-bit town a long time ago but she's a fiercely loyal creature and family is important to her, even if she feels like none of them really even understand or even see her for who she actually is. So, Bedlam remains her home and in-between her cyber-antics, she tries to keep her kin from getting too deep into the trouble that winds its way throughout Bedlam. Powers & Tactics: Sofí is human but can hardly be called normal. Brilliant, she can make technology do all sorts of things that look like something out of an action movie. She has a few small electronic devices that are easily pocketable and function as a small bag of tricks that allow her not only to hack all sorts of electronics, but go above and beyond. Her Multi-Tool represents a few different palm sized items that are easily carried, from a cutting torch that's no bigger than a pocket flash light to the scanning and recording devices that she's installed in her phone. Physically, Sofí works out regularly and trains at the gym in both kickboxing and free-running. If it comes to hand-to hand fighting, she's going to do her best to break and run. She's not a close-in fighter - or really any sort of fighter at all - but she's better off if she can get some distance and use something as a distraction to get away. Power Descriptions: Sofí has no actual powers, at least nothing flashy or noticeable. She's not any sort of meta-human, but she functions at peak human intelligence and has mastered multiple fields through self guided study. There's nothing super natural or magical about it, but its certainly outside of any sort of normal bell curve. The super senses that she does have are to represent her intelligence and what she can glean via her computer skills, as well as Quickness to demonstrate the speed she functions at. I should note that she doesn't possess any supernatural speed and that the Quickness is there to mechanically represent that through her intellect, she can invent devices, build objects and get things done at an astonishing pace. Complications: Mi Familia: Sofía's large and extended family makes their home in Hardwick park so not only does she have to keep them out of her business and what she actually gets up to, she also occasionally has to try and keep tabs on their activities and try to buffer them from the many dangers in Bedlam... without any of them catching onto her antics. Robin Hood: Her morals generally align to righting the unfairness of the social order, a little bit of anarchy and issues with authority combined with the certainty of her own course of actions. She has a code of ethics that dictates her actions. Hack the Planet: Information should be free, if you ask her, and she's both willing and able to put her money where her mouth is on this subject. Her tendency to dump secrets out in the open has made her plenty of enemies, if they could track her down through her aliases. Wanted: L0vel@ce's antics are not legal by a large stretch and if connected back to her actual identity, could cause Sofí to end up in jail, or dead. Lover not a Fighter: Sofí is more used to video games than actual bloodshed, any combat she's been in has been the result of a serious error along the way. She's not going to act like a hardened combat veteran because she's just not that experienced with it. Nighthawk had been in motion, that smooth, effortless motion her friends were used to on the battlefield until the sacrifice was revealed. The stop she came to was so sudden it was almost comical - except there was nothing funny about this, nothing funny at all. "Daddy?" Robin's voice hiccuped, sounding younger and her hand stuttered, reaching out towards the hologram's blood spattered face as it twisted into a rictus. Robin's fist halted halfway in the air, ignoring the simulation and the potential threat that the faux-Alkahests possessed. She stopped, standing utterly still, with her hands fisted at her sides. Ignoring the simulation entirely, Robin twisted and in a sudden burst of movement drove her fist down into the metal panel of the Doom Room's floor with a solid klang. As the edge of the panel curled up under the deformation from Robin's super strength, she reached out to pry up the panel with her unnatural strength. Continuing the momentum like it was a shot put, Robin sent the panel soaring towards the glass of the control panel with a shouted, "Archer!" Robin flexed her bloody knuckles back into fists once more, her posture pure rigid defiance. She officially no longer cared about expulsion. No, Robin was going to get some answers, "You'd better be under some sort of mind control or influence, old man," she said, lowering her head and taking a step forward. "For your sake."
-
"Maybe a little more forewarning before the boom?" Robin asked with more resignation than anything else even as she gave the hand signal to Woodsman to engage. "High priority targets, take out what you can. Reagent, you got any thing you can see about doing to give us a bit more cover or slow down the fringes? I'm gonna drop in for close combat just in case we get demons up the ying-yang here in five." She gave the orders even as she took the few steps to launch herself off the top of the building like a diver heading towards a pool rather than concrete and chaos - taking advantage of the flare of purple fire to distract from her entry into the throng. For a moment her outline was highlighted against the flare of fire. "Gonna need your eyes, guys. Where am I needed?" Nighthawk asked as she hit the ground in a full tuck and roll to end up in the midst of the whole mess.

Leilani merely shook her head but didn't argue the point further. She had more than enough on her plate as it was but there was some comfortable familiarity in the maternal pestering. It reminded Leilani a bit of her own mother but she shook those thoughts off determinedly as Dimitri's comments registered, "What's an EU?" Leilani asked as she set her glass back down on the table, with the resignation of someone who knew that they were asking questions for far more of any conversation that was typical. Her brow creased at the unfamiliar term as she'd at least grown used to unfamiliar names. "I think that's probably more the mark of friends that have become family," she replied to Dimitri then, "Friends take you out for drinks, family pesters you about your life and why you making all the wrong choices with it. Least thats my rather limited experience."

"Well some things never change at least," Leilani relaxed minutely at that. She'd have to face the future of the rest of the family she'd left behind in time eventually but one at a time. Leilani glanced down to see her cup bubbling in her hand as she'd begun to boil her ice water unthinkingly. Grimacing, she went to scoot back automatically. "I should get back, speaking of which." She demurred. It wasn't like someone would be worried about her absence but the minor reminder was more than enough to reinforce the bubble Leilani kept from the potentially flammable. "It... Its nice to meet you." She said, and she meant it. "An I'll keep in mind that job. Might be nice to have some pocket money. Lemme give you my number." She jotted that down quickly and stepped back before the large man could catch her in another effusive hug.
-
"Cover Sparkler if she's going in closer," Nighthawk instructed Woodsman with a small nod towards the window. "Last thing we wanna do is blow up a ritual and make things worse. Better if we know what we're interrupting first." She paused and then touched his shoulder lightly, the gesture mutely supportive. "I know you can make the shot, but lets recon first since we're not tossed straight into a fight. If the window closes, we'll make you another one." She nodded her head towards Fred then and suggested, "Gross but lets get a sample. Who knows what we'll be thrown into." She stepped to the window too and scanned the streets before nodding, "Let's get to the rooftop while Sparkler moves into position and get a bit more space to maneuver. I know its a little undignified, but swing an arm around my neck and I'll climb up the side of the building while Woodsman keeps cover, then we'll keep an eye out for him. Moving solo, he'll be the fastest and he's got range." Nighthawk was being cautious and that was clear. The scenario was moderately unnerving but more so was her clear distrust of Archer's surprise scenario. Heading for the window that Sparkler had left through, Nighthawk slipped onto the sill and to the side to keep the sight-lines clear before she extended one hand to her roommate.

As the tension rose, Robin shifted her weight onto the balls of her feet and at the shouted word, she dropped her stance back, fists up and ready to fight - although fight what, she wasn't entirely sure of. The doctor wasn't making much sense at all and the word he shouted had to meaning to her but Robin had never cold-cocked a person on their knees and she wasn't about to now. Her expression registered confusion although once the good doctor had made the connection, there were definite tells and marks of her mother's legacy. Although her features were an even blend of her parents, the stubborn line of her chin and those unforgiving grey eyes were her mother's. "Dr. Chandler?" She said slowly, forcing her fists to uncurl and reaching out one hand for the one that wavered in her general direction. Her brow creased as she took the man's hand uncertainly. At her core, Robin wanted to help people but she had no earthly idea what the good doctor needed. "Did... did you know my mother?" She had to ask it even if the question seemed wildly unlikely.

"Nah nah nah," Leilani demurred with a short bark of laughter, "Happens often enough with the Freedom League that I guess they got protocols for people outta time. Easier, apparently, as I was born in the last hundred years or so. Such a thing, to have enough people crop up frozen or lost or whatever. I be surprised they not start a support group." Still bemused, she shrugged her shoulders once more before finally pausing, "So, my mom - your great granmama, I guess, she be gone, yeah?" Intellectually, Leilani knew that had to be almost certainly true but it was one thing to do the math and another to have it confirmed. It was on the tip of her tongue to follow up with other questions like when and how. Instead she swallowed those words and reached for her water glass.
