While Set made assurances of good behaviour to the crew member who'd let them inside, Sekhmet continued to scan the crowded night club, going so far as to perch on the tips of her toes to add to her already considerable height. At first the godling assumed his always wary companion was simply agitated by so many people in a setting that worked to thwart her acute hearing and vision with pounding music and flashing lights respectively, until she spoke up, "Might we encounter Alicia Gemmen, do thee suppose?" Blinking, it took Set a few moments to place the name. "The playactor who performs as the potentially amorous reporter? Mayhaps? Why do you ask?" "Concern thyself not with my motivations," the warrior goddess shot back huffily, crossing her arms under her chest. Before Set could probe further, Sekhmet sniffed the air distractedly, turning toward the extras preparing to dance for the scene. Inhaling through her nose again, she shot Set a predatory grin before setting off toward some of the mortals. Feeling some colour drain from his face at that expression, Set looked past her in the direction she's begun walking, hurrying to keep up. "What do you-- oh. Sekhmet. Sekhmet, nay." His pleas fell on deaf ears as his minder approached Eliza and her friends and gave them a broad smile and perfunctory bow. "Hail! 'What fortune brings a warrior as thyself to such a locality?'" Her tone suggested she was attempting and mangling a quotation while the gleam in the one golden eye not hidden by her raven black hair suggested she was looking forward to seeing Set be the socially awkward one for once.

Erik coughed lightly and studiously declined to comment of his wife's allusion to a 'next time' one way or another and instead took in Mayberry with the vaguely semi-competent eye of someone who'd accrued a variety of handyman skills through trial and error. "Well sure, though I dunno how siblings stack up against being god-queen empress of a whole planet, Sprouts. Ammy's pretty literally a cartoon princess." The swordsman took a break from admiring the massive Christmas tree to exchange a look with Min and glance over at Stesha's expression before clearing his throat a little more obviously than before. "So, ah... Any word from Twinkle Twinkle, lately?" Keeping his tone light and casual, Erik wasn't entirely sure if it was something the Leaguer had any desire to talk about but the Espadases had shared their concerns with each other privately over the apparently long, long absence of Amaryllis' father and he knew he'd be kicking himself for the rest of the visit if he didn't at least ask.

Earth F-Deluge-1 As the world came sharply back into focus Daybreak found not the polished floors of his family home beneath his feet but the steeply slanted roof of a neo-Gothic building, slick with water. With a small yelp as one boot slipped out from under him, he swung his sledge with one arm, anchoring its head deep into the eroded structure while his other hand shot out reflexively to grab the dark hood falling out of the corner of his eye. All around them for as far as he could see there was nothing but dark, roiling waters, an ocean that had swallowed up whatever settlement to which their perch had been a part. "Oh geeze, Hope, Gale's grandad really did it!" he gaped, horrified. "Um..." The quiet voice drew his eyes down to realize that it wasn't his twin's hood he'd grabbed hold of but Mystery's, who got her feet back under her with a show of calm dexterity before looking left and right to take in the rest of the scene. Sure enough all six of the time-crossed siblings who'd gathered to stop Hendawhit were still together, dealing with their unexpected predicament with varying amounts of grace. A string of grumbling curses rose up from further down the tower where Hematite had only barely managed to dig his fingers into newly made handholds before falling into water, which was even then spraying upward to splash against the back of his costume. "What the shock?!" he demanded angrily, starting his climb back up toward the others accompanied by the sound of terracotta giving way beneath super-strength.

The German's composure lasted almost long enough for him to begin a reply but with inevitability the hard line of his mouth collapsed and his shoulders sagged just enough to make the leather straps sitting upon them creak softly. "...Travis, I cannot." His jaw set as he closed it, a futile attempt to fall back on the restrictions of his profession for protection when the damage of knowledge had already been done. Snorting slightly as he took a few steps forward, Travis gave Morgen a look of faint amusement. "Of course." Once he was close enough he clapped his empty hand on the time traveler's shoulder with surprising sureness that lasted for a heartbeat before muscles worn thin betrayed him and caused his arm to tremble ever so slightly. "As fine a dynasty as any man has left, as fine a gift as I have ever received. Thank you, Tom." Morgen was silent but leaned down slightly to embrace his teammate.

Travis let out a deep grunt with a note of satisfaction running beneath it and the pain of old bones forced into movement running above it as he rose from his seat and leaned heavily on his cane for support. He searched Morgen's face for a moment, eyes that had once been sharp as daggers now relying more on deductive training and experience than natural acuity. He took in his old friend's expression and studied the lines and wrinkles to try to estimate exactly how old the other man had become. "Can't stay," he surmised eventually, waiting a few long beats to say it aloud to draw things out if only a little. Morgen shook his head regretfully. "Afraid not. Only a short window before I have to start answering some difficult questions to some entirely humourless people," he explained apologetically, giving the elderly hero a small shrug. "Still, no need to be any more dour than usual. I shall be seeing you again soon en--" "Tom," Travis interrupted his, holding up his free hand to stop the explanation. "No word games. You'll see me, I won't see you." Thinking outside linear time made his back ache but the retired mystery man could connect these dots easily enough. Those little pains reminded him that his own time was distinctly finite. "The 'pulled strings', letting me meet those children. This is you saying goodbye."

Midnight had to admit he hadn't seen that coming... internally, at least. Outwardly he adjusted his jacket's collar with one hand, activating hermetic seals connecting his mask to his under armor and his gloves to his cuffs and switching over to his uniform's internal air supply. Those were all the precautions he had time take before using his free hand to steer the Nightryde into a steep swoop down toward the street and the growing mob. Long, narrow barrels slid out of either side the flying motorcycle's chassis as it streaked through the air, unleashing a barrage of red hot darts of light. Artfully avoiding Monsoon, the attack shredded the bases of trees adorned in glass bulbs, street lamps wrapped in candy cane streamers and large plastic Santa Claus lawn decorations of highly questionable aesthetic value. The array of festive decorations toppled into the street, layering atop each other to form an ad hoc dam against the tide of chanting victims. "Stop smearing," he instructed Aquaria as he came in low enough to be heard. "You and Jessie, find hydrants, open them." Holding what amounted to hostages in the air by their blood was proving surprisingly effective but with a clean water source he hoped Monsoon could wash the citizens clean of their contamination instead. A little extra property damage was a small price to pay.

"Gah, get back here--! Ugh." Jill groaned completely to herself as she set off after her brother at a dead sprint, trying not to let him get far enough ahead of her to be lost in the billowing lunar dust as flashes of laser fire and explosions created blurry afterimages around them. As the vague shape of the dome loomed in front of them, she skidded to a halt and planted her feet. "No, you know what? Jill O'Cure may talk to herself in the third person but she does not run back and forth like a twit. Screw this noise." Clenching her right hand into a fist she gathered a dense, crackling ball of energy around it, the blue light nearly opaque before she dropped to one knee and slammed it into the moon's surface. The ball exploded outward in a half-sphere of force, passing harmlessly though her fellow heroes and the armored knights alike but pushing the dust away like tidal wave. As she got back up to her feet and dusted off her gloved hands imperiously the entire area had been swept clean.

The metal-and-bone chimaera's movements hitched as its heads moved about erratically, trying to find its attacker in the illusory sandstorm. While not entirely immobilized it was obviously sluggish, even its horrific nature feeling the effects of its altered frame of temporal reference. "Grah, ENOUGH!" Typhon shouted, trashing violently in the grip of Sun Walker's tail. "Ants! Specks! KNOW DESPAIR!" The shadowstuff covering half of his face began to sizzle and melt as sickly green light began to seep from first his eye and then mouth like beacons. All around him the dead eyes and gaping maws of his titanic thralls similarly burned with magics that would have been better off forgotten. Meatheral felt his rocky elemental form shudder, struggling to hold onto the transformation while the sands of Miras' illusion burned away like sawdust caught at the edge of a bonfire. Set paled noticeably and recoiled reflexively in the air. "Oh, you cheating @#$%," he swore softly before attempting a cry of warning. "Walker--!" Before the godling could finish his sentence his Greco-Roman counterpart exploded in light and blood and bone, his stolen form ripping itself apart from within, throwing the celestial martial artist backward. One by one the gigantic creatures followed suit, their silver star metal shattering into skittering spider-things while their desecrated ivory and sinew flew into a whirlwind just as it had when they had first formed. This time the materials all converged in one place, stacking atop each other and taking horrible shape. Its limbs strode the sands as a colossus, draconic scales patched with oil rig framework. Its roar was a physical wall of force, the electronic distortion echoing in triplicate from each of its mouths. Its fins tipped not with spines but the unmistakably sinister barrels of automatic weapons shaped by a hand with distinctly ancient sensibilities. The heroes stood in the shadow of the hydra reborn from the darkest of sorcery and science combined. All three of its fanged mouths opened in unison and nuclear purple un-light poured forth in a beam of pure destruction, washing over Set until he was completely obscured from view and the sand behind him was scorched jet black. Sekhmet let out an inarticulate roar of disbelief, stumbling backward. It quickly turned to rage as she dropped to all fours in the form of a lioness, charging across the sands toward the impossible beast, heedless of the danger. "NAY!" was her only battlecry as she savagely attacked one of the hydra's limbs, doing everything she could to attract its attention.

Well, there are six computer-jackals surrounding her - they're the ones with -2 Defense from charging to get to her. Does she have Takedown Attack or an area attack like Shockwave she'd like to use?
-
They're being denied their Dodge bonus, sure. Their effective Defense would be 13.
-
Your choice, she has clear sightlines to the whole cargo bay. There are two antibodies attacking Kharag and two terrorizing the civilians. Sei hasn't met Kharag yet but it's obvious at a glance that he's already pretty beat up but he's still much more capable of defending himself than the refugees.

A startled Typhon struggled against the simian martial artist's tail to no avail, the mortal shell he'd commandeered no match for the extra appendage's celestial might. With the Father of all Monster's six wings bound and no longer keeping them aloft, the pair dropped down atop the half-covered ruins once again, Sun Walker's effortless grace allowing him to handle the landing considerably better than his prisoner. Set flew a few paces worth of distance toward them through the air, somewhat calmer now that Typhon appeared to be well in hand though he evidently didn't trust his own patience well enough to come any closer just yet. "He knows," the godling informed Sun Walker flatly, tendrils of malicious looking shadowstuff dripping from his fingers as he glared at their enemy. "His manner be in discourteous imitation of my own." For his part Typhon continued to struggle against his fur-covered bonds, incensed. "Grah! What base trickery be this?! No mortal limb may touch me!" "Ah, I am an ungracious host," Set replied with a thin smile that was far more forced than his usual easy smirk. "Typhon, meet Sun Walker, scion of the esteemed Sun Wukong." "Phaw, the stone ape was no god!" Typhon spat angrily. "Nor are you, titan," Set countered coldly before tossing a handful of the inky substance gathering in his palm at Typhon's exposed face, the shadows splattering like tar across his stolen eyes.
