  7. That's the idea, yeah, just for expediency. I'll have Initiative up for Typhon and the monsters this evening. You are indeed looking at big ol' cyborg zombie versions of the Caucasian eagle, lamia and chimaera. This may be cause for concern.
  8. Typhon's lips twitched uncontrollably as he struggled to let the mortals each say their piece but by the time Arrowhawk had begun listing illicit substances the father of all monsters was was laughing hard enough that he was having trouble remaining upright. "Such speeches!" He raised one hand with the thumb under the other four fingers to form a puppet; as he opened it wide the flesh rippled and reformed into a scaly, saurian head with a glittering onyx hue. "Meh meh myeh meh," he began in a surprisingly passable imitation of Miras' voice before dropping into a gravelly exaggeration of Arrowhawk, "Grr, argh. Haha! I knew I would regret not visiting the mortal plane before my new favourite star beast wiped you little insects from existence! And such toys its laid out to borrow!" He gestured with his other hand at the fallen cyborg mummies, which began to twitch unnaturally as his gaze fell over them. "Somewhat lacking in imagination, of course. For example!" The gleaming metal, dessicated flesh and darkened bones flew off of the ground in disturbingly liquid streams, joined by more of the same flowing from inside and around the ruins and converging in three great masses of blasphemous material. Horribly they solidified into more recognizable shapes, each the size of a house: a massive eagle with gizzards dropping from its cruel beak, a gigantic humanoid figure with a skeletal head and a snake's tail below the waist and a monstrous combination of lion, snake and goat that raised its head in a roar that shook the ground. "Ah! Much better, aye?"
  9. Once the shouting had started over the comm channel Jill had considered simply throwing an airtight force field up around herself and charging out the outpost's airlock but with her Farsider made spacesuit already halfway on she simply gritted her teeth and muttered under her breath until she had the helmet on and its seals engaged. Tapping her foot impatiently while the airlock cycled, she dashed out onto the lunar surface as soon as the door irised open. Looking upward to follow the streaks of energy from Dragonfly's drones, she pulled a face. "There's a spaceship, now? I leave you people alone for five minutes..." Throw her hands upward with an unladylike grunt, she sent forth a rippling wave of bioelectricity, looking almost like a shimmering blue aurora before it coalesced into a solid translucent barrier over the heads of the assembled heroes. "Woah, and who cut off that guy's-- actually, stupid question. Jack! Stop cutting off people's heads! This one's been dead for ages already, anyway," the medic added with a grimace, trying not to look too closely at the visible bits of the Knight's corpse.
  10. Jill O'Cure Move Action: Move out of the outpost toward the heroes. Standard Action: Create a barrier between everyone and the Communion ship. Create Object 12 (Power Feats: Progression [10-foot cube/rank], Selective, Stationary, Tether, Extras: Impervious, Movable) [52PP]
  11. Sounds good! She won't run into any antibodies without going further into the warship, no. The Shockwave is DC 30?
  12. Alright, Citizen dropped her off pretty close to the mound so I'll say that moving all out gets her to the base of it. 26 - Asad - Uninjured, 3HP 24 - Citizen - Uninjured, 2HP 19 - Terrifica - Uninjured, 0HP > 17 - Maxima - Uninjured, Leaping 2 Rounds, 2HP 14 - Hronos - Uninjured, 0HP 8 - Compu-Jackals x1 - Uninjured 8 - Compu-Jackals with Wings x8 - Uninjured 8 - Compu-Jackals with Wings x5 - Disabled 8 - Compu-Jackals x6 - Disabled Maxima is up. Anything you want to do while she's in the air this round, Geez?
  13. Well, Corona's Flight and optional Invulnerability probably make her a better choice to deal with the fire. Wail's gonna grapple an elephant.
  14. Roll for initiative!
  15. The door frame buckled under Roulette's sudden assault, blocks of carved stone and sand-cement crumbling and toppling into the open space and blocking the hallway deeper into the underground facility. The largest gaps weren't much more than a few centimeters across and anyone looking to clear the blockage was in for hours of back breaking lifting, which was a comfort as Zaul appeared from around the corner on the other side of the obstruction. "Well now, that just strikes me as bein' rude," the sheriff commented, lining up an eye with one of the larger gaps so that he could raise a nonchalant eyebrow at the three bounty hunters. "Normally I'd figure tryin' to hire you chummers my own self would be the thing t'do but I got a notion that'd just end in tears anyway so how about we skip the middle bit, huh?" Zaul stepped forward into the fallen stone, his teal flesh turning pale brown and rough before crumbling into sand as it slid through the various cracks and gaps, spilling onto the floor on the other side. The resulting pile of sand rose upward on its own accord, reforming itself into a humanoid shape before regaining its colour and definition, leaving the corrupt lawman standing in the same room as the Voidrunners with a predatory gleam in his solid black eyes. "Sure you understand, that ain't something pl' Zaul lets folks see and live, a'course," he explained with a genial smile as one hand expanded into a sand coloured mace covered in rocky spikes and the other into a long machete-like blade.
  16. Meatheral and Miras: Knowledge [Theology and Philosophy] Meatheral and Arrowhawk: Sense Motive
  17. Jack's stomach lurched as he felt the syrupy remains of almost dried fluids stick to his gloved fingers. He'd been certain; even setting aside his metamagi senses the Knights' movements had been all wrong, devoid of the fluidity a trained fighter should have shown. As the red helmet bounced across the lunar surface and he spotted the desiccated, long dead remains inside his chest tightened again. He'd been expecting robots but could these actually be suits of armor acting on their own with their slain owners still rotting within? He wasn't even sure how to process that as he turned to face the goldenrod imposter's wrath, ready to put the remaining four down hard and sort things out afterward. Then Steve was there in front of him, so sure as usual that the only acceptable target preset was Steve, impaling himself just to make a point. The thought that this was what it must have felt like for his team every time he did something idiotic briefly crossed his mind in the split second before green laser fire was sending showers of moon rocks erupting upward all around them and his priorities realigned. The crimson light of the armor he'd trisected was smooth and polished, cherry air freshener and pomegranate dish soap, artificial and clean in contrast to the raw wrongness of the termimus radiation. Normally he had to concentrate to shape borrowed energy into something he could use, tease and cajole it or willfully force it into place. This felt malleable as modeling clay, preprocessed for this exact purpose, a glossy red concept car designed with formulas and wind tunnels. So lets see what happens when I put the pedal down and give her some gas. The swordsman coiled his legs beneath him and launched upward in the lower gravity of the moon, gripping his energy claymore in both hands and drawing it over his head and beyond his back. With a shout lost in his helmet and the vacuum around them he brought the blade down in a single great swing. The weapon construct swelled in size as it arced through the void, gaining very real momentum along with the illusion of mass until it reached nearly half the length of a football field, falling atop the silvery spaceship like a guillotine carved from rubies.

  19. This generation of the Compu-Jackals are indeed stymied by his Impervious, doh ho ho! The mound cannot really dodge on account of being a mound. It is, however, partially immune to heat effects, among other things. Computronium Mound Toughness Save vs DC 23: 1d20+15 22 If nothing else, this lets Sharl know that just destroying the mound is going to be pretty tough. 24 - Citizen - Uninjured, 2HP > 19 - Terrifica - Uninjured, 1HP 17 - Maxima - Uninjured, Leaping 3 Rounds, 2HP 14 - Hronos - Uninjured, 0HP 8 - Compu-Jackals x1 - Uninjured 8 - Compu-Jackals with Wings x8 - Uninjured 8 - Compu-Jackals with Wings x5 - Disabled 8 - Compu-Jackals x6 - Disabled
  20. Jack of all Blades Move Action: Taking 10 on Acrobatics with Skill Mastery, Jack should be able to get about 8' of vertical distance with the moon's lower gravity. 21. Good opportunity to hit me with another Knowledge [Theology] roll and rolls for any interpersonal skills you think would make sense here.
  22. "Good tidings, mortals! Tis no reason to quarrel, for thy be buffoons one and all!" a cruel, mocking voice rang out, interrupting the heroes' suppositions. Its owner stood atop one of the taller, half-buried ruins, the steady sun glinting off of the unnaturally sharp teeth in his wide smirk. Perhaps seventeen or eighteen, the youth's dark complexion and hair suggested he was a local but the rich purple chiton and ornate platinum and emerald armor he wore, engraved with patterns of feathers and scales, all bore a distinctly Greco-Roman style. If his garb and teeth weren't obvious enough, distinctly pointed ears and jet black eyes certainly made it clear that they were dealing with something not quite human. Miras didn't get quite the sense of an unshielded blast furnace from the young man that she got from Set and Sekhmet but the sensation was certainly similar, more like a wax candle struggling to contain the heat of a butane torch. The shorter Heliopolian rounded on the source of the voice with a start, wary and scowling. Unconcealed hate twisted his graceful features as he named the abrupt arrival aloud: "Typhon." Sekhmet looked startled for a moment, head jerking between Set and the young man on the ruins several times before she fell into a ready crouch with a growl from the back of her throat. An oddly echoing laugh rang out. "Set," Typhon greeted in return, his tone pleased and condescending. "In truth I feared thy would mistake me. Tis been so long! Be truthful, the shambling dead? Too much, too obvious for the opening games? I know what value you place upon theatrics!"
  23. The one at the other end of the room? Sure, that actually works out well! 42, I'll give you a chance to let Ruby explain a little bit then we'll move into the final phase of the thread!
  24. When attacking minions you can take 10 or choose to roll if you want the chance for a critical hit, similar to the way you might want to risk rolling a Skill for which you have Skill Mastery for the chance at a result better than 10. Earlier, when you used an HP to reroll, you should always roll a full d20 because rolling a 10 and adding 10 isn't the same a rolling a natural 20. Communion Antibody Toughness Save vs DC 25: 1d20+10 26 29 - Seikahi’ino - Uninjured, 3HP 17 - Elite - Uninjured, 1HP 17 - Kharag - Staggered, Fatigued Next Round, 1HP > 17 - Deep Freeze - Fatigued, Staggered, 0HP 9 - Paradigm - Uninjured, 2HP 9 - Antibodies x4 - Uninjured 9 - Antibodies - Bound/Helpless x1, Unconscious x2, Unconscious x4, Unconscious x5 8 - Communion Warship - Staggered, Bruised x2
  25. Even with Hronos' warning it seemed as if the computronium beasts were well in hand, with only a single compu-jackal left to snap its jaws at Teriffica on the glassy, green ground. The self-professed genius leaped nimbly out of the way, careful not to allow any bare skin to touch the transformed material. Before her feet had even touched back down, however, eight more of the creatures cracked free from the central mound, looking more refined than the earlier iterations, their edges more rounded and either features more uniform. Spreading their wings the inorganic chimera rocketed toward the robotic champions in the air above them with harsh, electronic growls. It was difficult to say if they were simply attacking the most obvious threats or if they were somehow aware of Citizen's plan and intended to prevent its success.
