  1. Okay, luckily Trevor always has a Plan B. And C through to Z. Free Action: Arrange Gadgets: Stun 8 (Extras: Linked [Damage]) [16PP] + Damage 3 (Extras: Linked [stun], Power Feat: Mighty) [4PP] (taser)Standard Action: Taser; Sneak Attack, Power Attack 5. (1d20+9=24) That's a DC 25 Fort Save against the Stun and a DC 30 Toughness Save for good measure.
  2. Just for my own reference: 34 - Sage - Brusied x1, 7HP 24 - Cobalt Templar - Uninjured, 4HP 22 - Sylph - Uninjured, Entangled 20 - Citizen - Uninjured, 4HP 13 - Wraith - Uninjured, Shaken, 4HP 11 - Papercut - Uninjured, 6HP 11 - Granite - Uninjured 10 - Pyre - Staggered, Dazed [sage's turn], Bound [Helpless] 7 - Ghost Girl - Uninjured, 4HP 4 - Professor Fathom - Uninjured
  3. Okay! From this point on, we'll be using those power-swapped sheets I posted earlier. We're temporarily out of rounds as well, so feel free to post reactions. Generally speaking, everyone is now wearing a version of the costume normally worn by whoever's powers they've gotten in the swap. Like so! Citizen might have a maroon trenchcoat made of fire rather than a cape, for example, but he's more or less in Cobalt Templar's usual kit. Feel free to describe it was you will or ask if you need clarification! Now! Everyone's getting another HP for this, and they're going to need it. To represent being unfamiliar with their new powers, any use of an activated power will require a DC 15 Concentration check to pull off. Passive powers function normally and they can use Extra Effort to forgo the Concentration check if they like. Any character can also spend a move action on their turn to 'coach' whomever is using their powers, negating the Concentration check on said character's next attempt, assuming they do as instructed.
  4. The light faded as quickly as it had come, leaving a cloud of concealing smoke in its wake. Having fallen to the ground at some point in the confusion, Ghost Girl staggered out from the cloud, coughing and waving her arm. Her first thought as she took stock of the situation was that she was wearing absolutely the wrong hood. Rather than the ethereal cowl of her usual reaper's cloak, this was a heavy fabric attached to a sweatshirt with the sleeves ripped off and something scrawled on the front in stylized spraypaint. The jumpsuit underneath she recognized as the Claremont Academy uniform, which she was also sure wasn't right. Raising her hands to pull the hood out of the way, she saw that they were a healthy pink, undeniably solid and beating with a pulse. "Oh, marmalade," the living girl gulped. "No, no, no!" Sylph's voice came from somewhere else in the room, oddly deeper and more resonant than her earlier airy tone. As the smoke slowly cleared, Kimber spotted a hulking rocky form from the same direction as the voice, just slightly smaller than Granite and distinctly more feminine once she got a better look. "This cannot be happening! Richard! Fix this! Now!" "Cease your-- oh. Hrm..." Fathom called back, Dr. Richard Calumus floating up above the remaining cloud not on a geyser of water but propelled by a jet of flame. "This is odd."
  5. "Blast it!" Fathom raged as Papercut made good on his smash-and-grab escape, the Factor Four's leader winding his liquid body after the origami artist. "If you want something done right..." With a great surge, his arms became geysers, shooting out like water from a firehose. The followed the giant paper airplane further into the museum before tendrils, huge fingers that wrapped around Papercut in a a watery cage. As the streams tightened around Koshiro, the Bauble tucked under his arm stopped ticking. Somewhere from within it, a bell tolled. Looking down, Papercut found that he was no longer carrying an intricate paper dragon, but a translucent prism. After a beat of silence, it tolled again. By the time Fathom's water had formed a complete sphere around him and was pulling him back toward the group, the Bauble was glowing in an entirely worrisome manner as it continued to ring out the hour in some other pocket of reality. "What the devil--?" Fathom muttered as the light shone through his prison just before one final, deafening toll rung out from within and a blinding burst of light washed over the room!
  6. Okay, so having consulted, I'd normally allow the Interpose on the grounds that Elongation is akin to a ranged attack, but since I want to actually get on to the main part of the thread, I'm going to toss Wraith an HP as well so that Koshiro is caught. If it's any consolation, you'll probably be happier to have those HP later.
  7. That... is a very good question. Off-hand, I'd probably say no, since the actual attack if happening well away from Wraith, but I can see the argument. Allow me to confer and get back to you on that! Put up a Grapple check regardless, and if we don't need it, we don't need it.
  8. LaMarr shook their guest adjudicator's hand with a practiced skill for coming across as welcoming rather than intimidating despite easily engulfing the patriotic paragon's comparatively dainty fingers. "Announcement or not, the flying car might have given you away," the veteran teacher and hero rumbled with a faint trace of amusement, glancing at the fantastical device. As someone who didn't get much use out of vehicles of any sort, he wasn't one to be overly impressed by such things but he had to admit that it wasn't the sort of thing frequently parked outside the school. He spent a little more time sizing up Miss Americana herself. Obviously she was gorgeous - he might not have been interested, but he wasn't blind - and if her public image was to be believed she was one of the great minds of the day. LaMarr knew a thing or two about public image, however, and it stuck him as interesting that someone with a successful private technologies company but without any overt government or military ties would cultivate such a wholesome, patriotic persona. Then again, maybe the girl just loves her country, he allowed internally, not wanting to look a gift horse in the mouth if a celebrity was willing to spend time encouraging his students.
  9. Midnight wasn't able to respond immediately as the Night Cycle was beset by the remaining over-sized lizards and reptiles, the assorted scaly behemoths surrounding the motorcycle with worryingly pack-like efficiency. One took advantage of the harrying of its brethren to lay a nasty set of claws alongside the bike before being dissuaded by a swift booted foot to its snout. With a pneumatic sound, another set of steel cables whipped out to entangle the offending creature, fired not by the rider but the autonomic intelligence acting as co-pilot. "I cannot promise to minimize injuries," Redbird warned, her voice annoyed as it came from within the Night Cycle, "if they insist on damaging my paint." "Noted," Midnight acknowledged, pulling out a compact cylinder of similar design to Wander's bat which extended into a full length staff with electricity crackling about both ends. Whirling the weapon in both hand without dismounting, the black-clad martial artist delivered powerful warning shocks to the mutated animals, knocking one out entirely and sending the remaining trio retreating back a few wary steps. Taking the moment to look upward, he called to the towering powerhouse,"Waterfront?"
  10. By the time Sage and Cobalt Templar had each taken their righteous indignation out on Pyre, Kimber had reflexively shifted her manifestation into the tattered reaper's cloak of Ghost Girl, the shadow of the hood giving her the scrap of composure it took to get herself back under control. Horribly embarrassed to have become a liability once again, ruining whatever brilliant plan she was sure Citizen had been working on and needing the upperclassmen to fight the fiery villain on her behalf, she briefly considered attacking Pyre herself, but bit her lip for a moment instead, unable to bring herself to confront her phobia so directly in the moment. Instead, pushing her shame down into the pit of her stomach, the phantom lifted into the air and floated toward her opposite apparition, Sylph. "I don't need to breathe either, lady, so you might as well give up!" she announced resolutely, her face stretching inhumanly once again as she loosed a torrent of frigid cold the crystallized the vapours of the villainess' form just enough to impair her wafting movements.
  11. Professor Fathom Papercut gets his HP back, because I'm bumping Fathom's Elongation by 2 ranks Extra Effort style, up to Elongation 10. That lets him stretch 500' as a move action, which not incidentally is the same distance Flight 3 gets you in a move action. Move Action: Elongate 500'. Standard Action: Initiate Grapple. (1d20+10=27) Grapple Check. (1d20+19=23) Let me get an opposed Grapple Check from Papercut before anything else. 34 - Sage - Brusied x1, 6HP 24 - Cobalt Templar - Uninjured, 3HP 22 - Sylph - Uninjured, Entangled 20 - Citizen - Uninjured, 3HP 13 - Wraith - Uninjured, Shaken, 2HP 11 - Papercut - Uninjured, 5HP 11 - Granite - Uninjured 10 - Pyre - Staggered, Dazed [sage's turn], Bound [Helpless] 7 - Ghost Girl - Uninjured, 3HP 4 - Professor Fathom - Uninjured
  12. "Sorry, Shiny, nothin' personal," Granite grated out in his gravelly voice, shrugging massive shoulders as he loomed over Wraith. The earthen creature's tone was relaxed and ponderous in the unnerving manner of someone well assured that they're on the profitable end of a very one-sided fight. "Normally I'd figure elemental types oughta stick together, maybe invite you to poker night r'somethin', but the boss says smash ya, that's what I do." With that, he moved his stone fist with uncanny speed for one so large, crashing it like a sledgehammer into the Kinigosi.
  13. Pyre's turn passes from the daze, so! Ghost Girl Move Action: Fly closer to Sylph. Standard Action: Ice Breath. As an aside, Sylph has both Insubstantial 2 (Immunity to Physical Damage) and Partial Immunity to Energy Damage. I'm treating 'cold' as energy, mostly because heat usually is as well, but since this is an area effect and Snare rather than Damage, it should effect her normally regardless. Sylph Reflex Save vs. DC 22. (1d20+5=9) Reflex Save vs. DC 22. (1d20+5=19) Entangled!
  14. Granite Move Action: Demoralize Wraith. (1d20+3=14) Standard Action: Attack Wraith. (1d20+7=20) That should hit. That's a DC 28 Toughness Save for Wraith.
  15. Granite for his part seemed fairly affable about Wraith's suggestion, taking a moment to scratch his stoney brow with one finger. "Huh. I dunno. Hey, Prof!" he called, disconcertingly unthreatened by the Kinigosi hunter menacing his bulky form. "Issat what you mean about another element and all? Metal? Or issat just another type of rock, like me?" "Just hit the creature, you dolt!" Fathom seethed as his head reformed from avoiding Citizen's attack, having very quickly run out of patience with the whole affair. Moving away from the holographic hero, the water elemental advanced on the display case and Papercut, intent of tossing the Detroit native out of the way and grabbing the Bauble. "...where is that infernal clockwork ticking coming from?!"
  16. Kaiju Toughness Save vs. DC 44. (1d20+24=43) Whelp. Standard Action: Attack Wander. (1d20+10=14) Miss! Giant Crocodiles Aid Attack. (1d20+4=15, 1d20+4=8, 1d20+4=22, 1d20+4=5) Two success. Attack Midnight. (1d20+8=28) Well! Midnight II Toughness Save vs. DC 23. (1d20+12=28) Redbird Standard Action: Snare Giant Crocodile. (1d20+3=23) Giant Crocodile Reflex Save vs. DC 18. (1d20+6=8) Midnight II Free Action: Arrange Gadgets: Stun 10 (Extras: Area [Targeted, Burst], Flaws: Action [Full]) [20PP] (electrified bo staff)Full Action: Stun; Power Attack 4. (1d20+10=22) Giant Crocodiles Fortitude Save vs. DC 24. (1d20+9=17, 1d20+9=14, 1d20+9=29, 1d20+9=18, 1d20+9=20, 1d20+9=21) 22 - Redbird - Uninjured 22 - Midnight II - Uninjured, 4HP 21 - Wander - Uninjured, 2HP 16 - Kaiju - Bruised x2 9 - Giant Crocodiles (x1) - Uninjured 9 - Giant Crocodiles (x2) - Uninjured, Stunned 9 - Giant Crocodiles (x2) - Bound, Helpless, Dazed 9 - Giant Crocodiles (x1) - Unconscious
  17. Jack of all Blades (7) Interceptors: From the Ground Floor (1) Scier's Masquerade (1) Demon in a Bottle (1) Interceptors: Eden (4) Midnight II (23) Greater Love (1) Faded Giant (1) Vault Construction 101 (2) Gathering Like Clouds (4) Double Date of Doom (15) Wail (9) Science Shenanigans (1) Street Sharks (6) Unfair Science Fair (2) Ghost Girl (11) It's Gonna Be The Future Soon (1) Raising Spirits (1) Call, Raise or Fold (3) Mile in My Shoes (6) Jill O'Cure (NPC) (5/2=2) The Hard Hand of Fate (5/2) GM (5) Interceptors: Eden (2) Mile in My Shoes (3) Toss the GM, NPC and rollover posts up to Jack along with the Ref Point to advance his progress toward vet rewards, then funnel everything down to Ghost Girl, for convenience's sake.
  18. Alright, Trevor should still be Stealth'd, so: Midnight II Move Action: Sneak over to Ahmed. Standard Action: Unarmed Disarm; Inspire 5, Power Attack 5, Sneak Attack. (1d20+14=32) That should be DC 27 versus his Strength, and Trevor ends up with the gun if the disarm succeeds. Let me know!
  19. Fair enough, AA! Wraith is up. 34 - Sage - Brusied x1, 6HP 24 - Cobalt Templar - Uninjured, 3HP 22 - Sylph - Uninjured 20 - Citizen - Uninjured, 3HP 13 - Wraith - Uninjured, 3HP 11 - Papercut - Uninjured, 4HP 11 - Granite - Uninjured 10 - Pyre - Staggered, Dazed, Bound [Helpless] 7 - Ghost Girl - Uninjured, 3HP 4 - Professor Fathom - Uninjured
  20. Midnight grunted at Cobalt Templar as Redbird spun into a series of disorienting maneuvers at his prompting, setting up an unexpected strike. As they did so, however, their target loosed a lucky shot, the energy blast streaming though the autonomic intelligence's systems. With an all-too-human shout of pain, Redbird went silent, the Night Cycle shifting beneath Trevor into its more Earthly configuration as the Furion influence retreated. Grating his teeth behind his mask, he brought the motorcycle to a screeching halt as part of a one-two combination of furious escrima stick strikes that cracked open his opponent's orange armor and sent the thug reeling back. Dismounting, Midnight strode forward, radiating malice. "Never. Touch. My bike."
  21. Alright, in that case: Move Action: Auto DC 30 Intimidate to Startle Orange Goon 2. Extra Effort: Surge Standard Action: Escrima Sticks, Sneak Attack, Power Attack 5. (1d20+9=23) Same thing, should be DC 30.
  22. Midnight II Standard Action: Escrima Sticks, Sneak Attack, Power Attack 5. (1d20+9=24) That should be a DC 23+2+5=30 Toughness Save for Orange Goon 2. Let me know how that goes and I'll finish up his turn.
  23. Sylph pulled a face that was an expression of long-suffering exasperation as much as anger as she floated toward Citizen. "'Tired of fighting teenagers,' are we? I suppose you think yourself a clever one, little boy," she mocked in a predatory purr, the eyes of her gaseous form narrowing. "Unfortunately for you, clever little boys still have to breathe." With that, she raised both hands, her arms from the elbow down becoming a funnel of inert gas that attempted to smother the flying hero... with no effect whatsoever on his holographic projection. "What...?!"
  24. Sylph Move Action: Feint Citizen. (1d20+14=15) Standard Action: Suffocate Citizen. (1d20+9=11) Of course, that neither hits nor effects Citizen anyway, but she wouldn't know that! 34 - Sage - Brusied x1, 6HP 24 - Cobalt Templar - Uninjured, 3HP 22 - Sylph - Uninjured 20 - Citizen - Uninjured, 3HP 13 - Wraith - Uninjured, 3HP 11 - Papercut - Uninjured, 4HP 11 - Granite - Uninjured 10 - Pyre - Staggered, Dazed, Bound [Helpless] 7 - Ghost Girl - Uninjured, 3HP 4 - Professor Fathom - Uninjured
  25. Pyre Opposed Grapple vs. 38. (1d20+7=26) For clarification's sake, Pyre is immune to Fire Damage, which includes Cobalt Templar's descriptors, but not Strength or Fire Effects. As such, he can still be grappled by Corbin's blue fire construct, just not burned by it. 34 - Sage - Brusied x1, 6HP 24 - Cobalt Templar - Uninjured, 3HP 22 - Sylph - Uninjured 20 - Citizen - Uninjured, 3HP 13 - Wraith - Uninjured, 3HP 11 - Papercut - Uninjured, 4HP 11 - Granite - Uninjured 10 - Pyre - Staggered, Dazed, Bound [Helpless] 7 - Ghost Girl - Uninjured, 3HP 4 - Professor Fathom - Uninjured
