"Yeah, spontaneous honey skills are always in demand," Jill grumbled under her breath, taking less care to censor herself now that her attention was focused elsewhere. Swinging acrobatically onto the back of the same robotic bees as the expecting mother, she did what she could to steady both of their perches while monitoring Stesha's condition. "Alright chumly," she instructed their ride, "take it nice and smooth, but we're not exactly stopping to smell the giant robot flowers, okay?"

Straight from Trevor's example gadgets: Teleportation Signal Hijack Super-Senses 1 (Trace Teleport) [1PP] Teleport 3 (Extras: Accurate, Affects Others, Power Feats: Easy, Progression [600 lbs.]) [14PP] (I'm not sure if he needs the actual Teleport in this case, since they have the beacons they were just given, but there it is.) Notice Check: 20 with Skill Mastery. Investigate Check. (1d20+2=16) (Yeah, I know. I never actually claimed Trevor was a costumed detective specifically. Another for the character edit shopping list.)

Stepping briskly back over to Stesha when she was summoned, Jill took one look at the floor beneath the pregnant woman and let out a long breath, rubbing the bridge of her nose. "Right, saving my 'I told you so's for a little later, we need to get Fleur back outside," she instructed taciturnly, turning to the assembled menfolk. "Help her up onto one of the robot bees; I'd rather have her walking to let gravity do its thing, but this place is filthy and all those stairs are just not happening." On one hand, the medic was a little concerned with what kind of complications the progeny of two powerful metahumans might have being born, but she quickly decided she'd rather have a sanitary location and a full range of healing powers than the power dampeners of the prison. "Okay, you've been practicing some breathing exercises, right?" she asked the green haired heroine more quietly. "I'm going to try timing your contractions, get a better idea what kind of time frame we've got. Everything's going to be fine."

ic Graduation Day: Leaves From the Vine (IC)
Gizmo replied to Avenger Assembled's topic in The Realms Beyond
Midnight frowned behind his featureless mask as he looked up at the massive mural. His image belonged in the shadows and the corners of guilty men's nightmares, not splashed up larger than life in an inspirational work. He couldn't imagine even an alternate version of himself agreeing to it, and if he hadn't objected... "Posthumous," he noted quietly as Erin questioned their fates in this timeline. "Don't see you or Edge. But..." His eye settled on the painting of Sage and he winced almost perceptibly as he glanced briefly in Psilent's direction. "Damn. Both." Silently he sent a brief telepathic communication in Eve's direction, hoping she was still monitoring everyone's surface thoughts, making sure she was aware of his deduction. He understood Psilent's cold reception now; it must have been something akin to his own feeling upon meeting Rick Lucas' reconstruction of his grandfather next to his parents' gravestone. A violation and a slap in the face.- 37 replies

Jack was somersaulting through the air before the spines had a chance to touch him, tucking himself into a ball so the his greatcoat took the brunt of the punishment from the lashing chains. Straightening just in time to land in a low crouch next to the addled acid demon, he finished the first monster off with a flurry of punishing hits, fiery blade sending streams of acid splashing against leaves and trees while he waited for the others to move within range. Lifting his free hand to his mouth he shouted after the fleeing beast, "Hey buddy! Where's the fire?"

While Jill took a few steps to reorient herself after the series of teleportations, briefly waving her hands at the wrist and pulling a face, he brother shuddered with a broad grimace as he placed both hands across his masked face. "Ugh, it's like somebody dropped a slushball of evil down the back of my shirt," the metamagi groaned, looking about as if expecting to see the obvious source of the unpleasant feeling standing out in the open nearby. "Gah. Alright, let's go make some new friends."

Right may as well Surge: Energy Sword Flurry; Power Attack 5. (1d20+15=25) So that's DC 15 + 7 Strike+ 3 Strength + 5 Power Attack + 7 Autofire = 37.

Okay, if this guy is suddenly PL15, I assume you at least have a revised sheet posted somewhere. Really it should have gotten approved first (with three refs in the thread, wouldn't have taken long, amirite?) but even if it's just "add +2 to everything there" we should know that going in. Also: DC 40 security? On a handheld device possessed by a guy which no points in Computers at all. Seriously. If you're going to Fiat, at least give Dragonfly back the HP she spent. [/annoyance at not-unexpected railroading] Jack: Initiative. (1d20+9=28) Jill: Initiative. (1d20+4=15)

ic Graduation Day: Leaves From the Vine (IC)
Gizmo replied to Avenger Assembled's topic in The Realms Beyond
There were times when Trevor almost regretted being as observant as his training had made him. He would have been perfectly content having missed the familiar body language coming from Lucky Strike, or inferring her inherited power suite from her name. 'Psilent' was considerably shorter than the Hunter men tended to be, if his his chest insignia hadn't been warning enough. Rubbing the bridge of his nose thoroughly through his featureless mask, Midnight debated which of the two he found more profoundly disturbing while vaguely wondering if the multiverse was passive-aggressively trying to convince him to just let it blow up and be done with it all. "Alternate timeline," he noted aloud in a gravelly baritone, reminding himself as much as anyone else. "She right. Time for awkward conversations later. The bomb." The last was a polite if terse and strained demand to the local heroes' de facto leader.- 37 replies

Jack groaned loudly as the two interdimensional cowboys stared each other down, a long annoyed noise. "For crying out... Man, this thing was already taking forever," he complained to the uninvited new arrival, turning in his chair but making no move to get up or indication that he felt remotely threatened. "I mean, yay, wedding, and all, but I haven't even gotten to give my speech yet and most of the people at this table have a better than even chance of getting lucky once we wrap this up and you're wasting our time." The fencer lifted on hand lazily above his head. "Show of hands folks, who here could break his guy's wrist without getting out of their chair?" His sister raised her own hand, not even bothering to summon the telltale glow of her force fields around it. "'Fly, be a dear and break his gadgets with your mind, m'kay?" she called over to her girlfriend.

Ellie rubbed the back of her neck self-consciously and looked away from Willow for a moment before catching herself. "Dios, I don't know why I'm making this awkward," she apologized, chagrined. "You really seem to like mi hermano which, y'know, good. Just... He's a really good guy, okay? But he's also an idiota." The young medic sawed her hands through the air in front of her emphatically, trying to convey the seriousness of her meaning. "If you can handle that, fantastic, if not-- oh, for @#$% sake..." Hurrying over to Thrude, she reached up to clamp her hands over top of the goddess's. She couldn't have actually physically stopped the warrior princess from undressing, but Ellie was hoping their new friend wouldn't fight her on this. "Trudy, follow my logic for a second here," she pleaded under her breath. "If we got a li'l flustered over you going au naturel in the kitchen, in private, what do you think the etiquette on public shops is?" Lifting one hand, she pointed to a door toward the back of the store. "Changing rooms, see?"

Letting his hand slide from the back of Erin's hair across her shoulders and down to the small of her back, Trevor made a subtle sound of amusement into the kiss as he pulled her closer. "Love it when you're pragmatic," he confessed as they broke for air, standing from the couch and leading the way with their fingers still entwined. It was likely madness when they both needed the sleep and might be whisked away to another hostile world at any moment, but they'd missed the chance to make love while the world was ending; there was no sense putting it off afterward. -

Slipping his fingers into Erin's, Trevor gave her hand a slight squeeze. "If we can't get home, we can make a new one. If we were ever separated, I'd find you." The dark haired young man's soft baritone held the slightest suggestion of hesitation as he struggled to adequately put his feelings into words, the strength of those emotions outweighing his laconic nature. "This is just one more fight. We'll win. We'll survive." Leaning forward, he kissed her lightly, letting the contact linger as he ran his free hand through her hair. "This... may not be the time, but...?" -
"Hmph," Jill nodded at Heyzel's bandaged wound with some satisfaction. "Don't suppose it would do any good if I told you to try not to move?" Cracking her neck, the young woman turned her attention to the attacker who was managing to remain standing despite a sound thrashing at the hands of Gabriel and Gaian Knight. "Can we please wrap this up?" she groused, retrieving her borrowed weapon from the floor and brandishing it in a similar fashion to a fencing blade. Timing her strike carefully to avoid getting in the older heroes' way, she landed a shocking blow that sent another jolt into the convict.

Wrapping his arm around Erin's shoulder and holding her head as she pressed her face into him, Trevor spoke softly, even by his standards. "Not going anywhere," he promised her, pausing until she lifter her eyes to meet his. "Won't let anything happen to you. Don't let anything happen to me, we'll be covered." Brushing his lips lightly across her forehead, auburn bangs tickling his nose, he pulled back just enough to regard the formidable young woman. "Love you." -

"...could have just asked him to fix the old one. Or made a whole new one," Trevor pointed out after a silent pause. "Not that I mind the cut," he added in an attempted bit of levity, but tired as he was, his subtle smile faltered almost immediately. What could he say to make the idea of returning to Erin's hellish world of origin any more palatable? Rubbing one hand over his eyes, you the young man sighed heavily. "Wanted to apologize again for Erde. Not sure what happened. Discorporealization? Nngh. Unexpected." Giving up on his breathing exercises, he instead collapsed wearily into the couch. -
"Hey now!" Jack protested as he moved to link hands with the others as instructed. "No fair giving a guy a hard time about his sword without even waiting to see if it's up to the task." "Dios..." Jill muttered under her breath as she followed suit, taking her brother's hand while he extended on to Equinox, then turning to reach toward Nick. "I hope we're teleporting, 'cause he's got enough of these for a whole road trip."
-
"Sounds like somebody hasn't been hitting her problems hard enough," Jack observed in a singsong voice, placing his hands behind his head and rocking backward on his heels as he looked innocently upward. Bending down with a grin to scratch the insistent raccoon behind her ears, Jill noted, "You can argue with him if you like, but he's enjoyed an unfortunate amount of success without all the reading, so he's hard to convince." "I'm just saying, you can usually spot the bad thing because it's making a speech about eternal night or rivers of blood or just trying to eat you," Jack clarified, shrugging into his greatcoat, "then when you hit it, it stops doing those things and everything typically works out."

"More or less," Trevor confirmed without opening his eyes, shifting on the couch to lean against Erin while he remained sitting, tilting his head to lightly touch against he auburn hair. "Hard to rest not knowing when we'll 'jump' again." Even with the absolutely mind boggling stakes of their latest mission hanging over them, the strain slipped from the young man's shoulders with his love's comforting presence beside him. Letting one onyx and crimson eye crack open slightly, he deadpanned, "Nice bellbottoms." -
My the time Etain had gotten the address from Nick, Jack of all Blades and Jill O'Cure had appeared rather suddenly, the former's royal blue greatcoat flapping lightly about his ankles as he strode forward while the latter adjusted the cuffs of her crimson gloves as she followed to one side. "Hey, Butterfly-Wing-Victorian-Dress-Fairy-Girl," the swashbuckler greeted as they got closer, forced levity in his tone even as his body language suggested seriousness. "Take it Grim hasn't shown yet. What can you tell us, from the beginning?"

Trying though Midnight found Radio Freedom's home reality on the whole, he was at least able to replenish his belt's store of explosives from Nightlife's stores along with a number of other items he'd expended. The satin black clad dancer was notably more subdued after Breakdown's betrayal, quite clearly blaming himself for not seeing it coming. His brooding made him considerably easier for Midnight to interact with, at least, after which point he took his leave, presumably to find a rooftop to stand upon while the sun set behind him. For his part, Trevor doubted he would be able to get any real sleep, but with the day's trials wearing on him, he took the opportunity to settle into a sufficiently restful meditative state on one of the clubhouse's couches. He could only hope that they were simply ahead of schedule, and nothing had gone wrong on Oliver and Rick's end of things.
