    Extracurriculars

TNTeen took a deep breath, looking over the battlefield. He felt the edges of a plan in his head. He couldn't really hurt the big robot... Not by himself. But with everyone working together... It would all have to be at once, all of them working one after the other. He started forming his explosives, focusing on making them tiny and numerous. "Wi-- Thoughtspeed! Cat-lady! I need some openings in the armor!" If he could force those openings large enough for Giang to get a thick stream of water in there, and if Set could do the lightning trick twice... "Tsunami, Set! Once the armor's open, hit him with everything you've got!" He felt a curious churning in his gut. He'd never tried to think up an idea in the middle of a fight like this. The chance that it went wrong weighed on him, but if it went right it would be so cool!
  2. Okay, setting up for a big ol' Combined Attack. TNTeen's ranged attack, vs Cobra Mech's Def. DC 22 + Autofire (1d20+7=8) Well not like that he's not! HP to reroll that. TNTeen's ranged attack, vs Cobra Mech's Def. DC 22 + Autofire (1d20+7=13) Minimum is 11+, right?
  3. Crowd Control fairly squeaked as Cannonade swept her off the floor. Her feet dangled free as she struggled uselessly against his grip. "L-let me go," she demanded, flailing against the paragon's arms. "If you don't I'll... Have them all dog-pile you! You won't like being buried under a couple hundred bodies, would you?" Her eyes flared and the crowd moved, but restlessly; fear was slipping into her self-control and more and more people were shaking off her influence. Blue Jay seemed content to let Cannonade swing the assassin about, and instead turned towards the stage to make sure no one tried a last-minute attack on the Representative. Only to notice, just now, that he was missing and one of the exit doors was standing open. She swore and fell, running from head to shoulder to bowed back across the top of the crowd. She made it out the doors with a rolling leap, coming to her feet glaring at -- "Silhouette." She lowered the weapon. "And Representative Walsh." She checked the hallway, then turned towards the doors leading into the gym. "Get the target out of the trap. Good idea." She paused. "And to where?" "That's where we disagree," Representative Walsh said. "There's cops outside, we can get their help. And even if they're nabbed by that woman in there, we should still call 911 and get some back-up. It can't hurt to have a police escort whever we end up going!"
  4. Well that wouldn't be Boost, that would be an array of Enhanced stuff.
  5. *Checks* Yeah, there's no way that Crowd Control is going to get out of that. She is well and fully grappled! Her turn will be spent trying to Intimidate Cannonade. Crowd Control's Intimidate check. (1d20+6=7) Ha ha ha no. Blue Jay will exit the gym, looking for Walsh. Initiative 31 Blue Jay -- Uninjured -- HPx2 17 Silhouette -- Uninjured -- HPx3 11 Cannonade -- Uninjured -- HPx2 5 Crowd Control -- Bruise x2 -- GM Sil's up.
  6. i'll go with the forced march. That gives me a +15 Fort save overall, so I literally cannot fail that saving throw.
  7. Maelstrom would love to break a story like this, but I don't know if she has the investigative skills to be much help.
  8. So this character is extra-susceptible to being drained? Because everybody is susceptible to being drained.
  9. It wouldn't be a bad idea. Or you could rebuild her from the ground up as a PL 10 or 12. You should have the vet rewards to unlock a PL 12 slot.
  10. I'm curious about that Drawback. The character is vulnerable to Power Drains -- what would that be, exactly?
  11. Nothing from Mecha & Manga is a good idea around here. This is a site for Western superheroes, the refs tend to be against anything anime. But a martial artist like Iron Fist or She-Hulk would work.
  12. Well what would you consider iconic? I could make a Paragon with Telepathy without breaking 150PP.
  13. Blue Jay considered the unconscious Gold. She rolled an arrow in her fingers, testing the point with her thumb. She could end it right here and now. It was what he had wanted, why he had come out here; to die of exposure or conjure an explosion so loud even he couldn't survive it. It would get the hunters off their trail, and she wasn't sure she could win a second fight against Gold, especially with Cord to handle. But in the end, she just couldn't do it. In the heat of battle, if he asked her, maybe, but not like this. Not when he was out cold, helpless. Instead she started to tug at the tree branches, bringing down ones that had been weakened in the fight. "I need branches," she said. "Big, long ones. We're going to make a pull-cart -- and you're going to do the pulling."
  14. GM Walsh clenched his teeth and looked at the gymnasium doors, visibly torn. Most of his life had been spent protecting people, whether it was as a beat cop in Freedom City or arguing on the floor of the Senate building in Washington, D.C. Running away from a fight -- from a fight that was centrally about him, no less! -- was against every fiber of his being. But he had to admit that going back in there wasn't going to help anyone. He took the pair of sunglasses Silhouette offered, but stuck them in his jacket instead. He pulled out a snub-nosed revolver instead, checking the chamber quickly. "The police who escorted me from the airport should still be out front. That woman's influence can't reach that far, we should go out that way."
  15. Well first off, your starting PC can only be PL 7 or PL 10, so this one can't be PL 12. This sounds a lot like Ulti-Teen, an Ultima NPC from the Exchange Students supplement. Which isn't a bad thing, really, just be aware that people are likely to make the comparison, both in-character and otherwise. Otherwise it sounds solid; a jolly adventurer experiencing this weird world of 'mortals' she's heard so much about. I'd play up the idea that what most folks think of as history are all relatively recent events to her. Last I heard, Superior was still locked up.
  16. Blue Jay prowled through the forest, head down, head on a swivel. She was focused on the tops of the trees, trying to pick out Blodeuwodd's dark costume, or else the cruciform shape of a flying Omegadrone. Of course, she was also being careful to watch everywhere else; in the Terminus, anything less than constant vigilance tended to end up killing you. So she spotted the coil of rope hanging limply next to the trunk. She shimmied up it like a spider, and soon she was braced just below the Welsh hero. "Everyone said they were going to be careful," she groused, just loud enough for Blod to hear. "What definition of careful involves being within sight of a flight of Omegadrones?" She focused on the oncoming force, manipulating her mask to zoom in and scan the monoliths.
  17. Fast Drone's Sense Motive vs. DC 23. (1d20+6=22) It fails, just barely, so its Def becomes 16. That makes the Tou DC 25. Fast Drone's Toughness save, vs DC 25. (1d20+3=17) Ya know, eff the rules. Scissorhands is crushed.
  18. I would suggest that the first change you should make is to rebuild your sheet to look like the template in >the Newbie Guide.
  19. Interesting -- Cthulhu from the machine. I don't suppose you're a fan of the Laundry series? There does need to be a written-out description of the character, not just a picture.
  20. Blue Jay >Mission of Mercy >Cold, Cold War >Protection Detail TNTeen >Extracirriculars Maelstrom >HellQ GM >Protection Detail >Visting Hours
  21. Well that's... kind of apocalyptic.
