"Genius, sort of, yes. Not very good at the medical...things; plenty of respect for people who learn things the hard waAY-" Mara stumbled a bit as she was dragged along, but settled into a pace that'd keep up with Carly's. "Mmh! Met? We, ah-" She glanced at Ellie, shrugging helplessly. don't mention Santa - don't mention Santa - don't mention- "-San...sort of a winter holiday...thing. Started talking while I was repairing someone's...vehicle. Kept in touch after, kind of went from there?" Mara didn't have half the social prowess that her significant other had, but it was all true enough. "She's the best Christmas present ever."

"Mmh? Ah, no," Mara replied, her attention rapidly shifting from Ellie to 'Fuerth' to Ellie to Carly. She awkwardly shook the offered hand, frowning as she caught up with her own answer. "Sorry - engineer, yes. HIT, no. Not a student - didn't think college had much for me. Was mostly right. Some things here with value." She bumped Ellie's hip with her own, smiling a little. "Still - turned out okay. Guessing...medical student?" That was at best ambiguously directed at Carly, and she frowned. "Sorry - you, I mean? Should...I should probably slow my thoughts down," the young woman apologized, frowning at herself. "And focus on talking like a normal person. N- I'm not as crazy as I sound, mostly. Promise."

"Ellie!" Ellie got the Ellie Smile, that rarest of facial expressions...as far as Mara's emotive habits went, anyway. Most of their costumes she was apparently carrying her own worn-down messenger bag, though on a whim she'd kept a tie around her neck where it hung in stark contrast to the faded t-shirt underneath. Her girlfriend got a hug, and the young engineer had to stop herself short of following it with a kiss - Mara wasn't sure what sort of attention that'd bring. Instead she somewhat awkwardly let go and glanced around herself again. "Interesting place. Should probably visit you here more often. Could guest-teach physics classes - almost promise the building wouldn't implode." She apparently found the idea rather funny, something like a wry grin tugging at the edge of her mouth. "Almost. Not quite. Can't do the fun physics without some risk. How was class?"

Mara stepped onto campus grounds only a little bit before she was due to meet Ellie - last-minute costume fretting (sure, the tie was black, but was it black enough?) had cost her more time than expected. Still, she had at least a couple minutes to look around herself with notable curiosity. While she didn't have much interest in attending the university herself, she had a hard time criticizing anyplace dedicated to knowledge...and her lack of a 'college experience' occasionally made her wonder what she'd missed out on. Not that she worried about it too much. She had a girlfriend to meet and a party to attend, after all. Under normal circumstances she wasn't one to seek out social events for their own merits, but in the right company....

[bg=#555555]"Good. Know too much now - would have to kill you otherwise."[/bg] It was a little hard to tell, from her deadpan and expressionless helmet, whether or not Dragonfly was joking. [bg=#555555]"Besides,"[/bg] she added, gesturing at the assembled heroes, [bg=#555555]"needed more members who aren't blonde. Makes people suspicious."[/bg] That was definitely a joke - her deadpan breaking could be heard in her words, even through the voice filter in her helmet. The young woman had taken the opportunity to gather a plate of food, the bottom half of her faceplate splitting apart on previously-invisible seams and retracting back so she could eat. "Also, you know. Science. Suppose as long as we have you to even out the blondes we'll have you do that too."

Somewhere outside, just barely audible over the din of the jail, a loud thump could be heard, followed by a triggered car alarm, and then another loud thump and a sound like cracking glass, and the cessation of the car alarm. Gaian Knight winced at the knowledge that Tiamat was likely enjoying herself out there, but he trusted her not to do anyone any permanent harm. That didn't mean they should take their time, though.... He mulled over what they knew about this whole mess for a moment before straightening his shoulders. "So I'm about to do something pretty smart, or really stupid," he muttered back. "Keep an eye on the rescuees, here...." The hero mentally felt around the earth for a moment, then thrust a glowing hand straight down. The concrete under the layers of yuck broke with a sudden, sharp noise, a piece the width of a prize melon snapping away from the rest of the floor and slamming down into the foundation like it had been hit with a giant hammer. It was only a couple of inches deep, the hole quickly filling with goodness knows what dairy products (and it was best not to consider what else), but that concrete was merely the tip of a column that went all the way down...clear down to jabbing whatever it was that was spreading out near the water table.

"You will do nothing." Even as Ghost Girl unleashed the literal chill of the grave on Gregory, Wraith was scuttling his way - 'scuttling' being the operative term: as she moved, her relatively standard quadrupedal grew another set of limbs...and another, and another. By the time she'd reached the mythological poacher she was almost more tendrils and claws than body, an awful alien thing like a long-legged centipede with no mouth and an axe to grind. The young manticore was kept carefully cradled in her 'tail' outside Gregory's immediate reach, but the rest of her body spiraled up around Gregory with its multitude of claws grasping at his limbs to bind them into place. "You will stop talking. Your birthright is terrible, and you should be able to see that."

Move action: Shapeshift. Additional Limbs 5 (+25 Limbs; Flaws: Duration [sustained]) [5pp] Elongation 3 (25ft) [3pp] Super-Strength 1 (+5 STR) [2pp] [5 + 3 + 2 = 10/10pp] Move action: close to melee. SURGE: Standard action: Hugs! Grapple Check vs. Gregory (hugs!) (1d20 + 24=32) Not the greatest roll, but I'll let it stand.

"My thing." Tiamat's grin was entirely too toothy as she backed up to the edge of the stone platform, parking lot passing by beneath their feet. She threw what was probably a mock military salute - though not a salute that had seen much use since plated armor went out of style - and laughed. "Yes ma'am." Gaian Knight brought the platform low to the ground long enough for Tiamat and Vector to get off safely in whatever fashion they saw fit, though with gun-wielding thralls around he didn't stop moving; Tiamat used the momentum to tumble right into one of the mind-controlled men, picking him up by the front of his shirt while he was off-balance and tossing him toward the parking lot. "" she shouted, in challenge, and in Greek, though she was keeping a careful eye on who was armed and pointing their weapons where. " "All off who're getting off," Gaian Knight intoned before sweeping the platform back up and flying further in toward the jail. The thrall unlucky enough to catch his attention first found the asphalt under his feet shooting up at his chin, part of the platform reforming into protection from any of the rest who might be inclined to take a shot at them as they landed. "Next stop: jail. Never thought I'd be on this side of a prison break."

As soon as Argo hit the ground Wraith was off running again, this time covering as much distance toward the fleeing Get-Away as her human legs would take her. Which, as it turned out, was pleasingly fast: she didn't make it anywhere near close enough to attack her prey directly, but it was close enough. Whips and barbed tendrils of faint purple energy sprouted from her head and back, striking out toward the distant figure and fading away as they got too far from her body...only to reappear around Get-Away, a dozen of them fading back into view to lash around their target and hold her in place. "Cobalt! Papercut!" she shouted, both mentally and not. "Last one - get her!"

Gaian Knight mused on that for a moment as he lifted them back up into the air and back off toward town. "Agreed. We're badly outnumbered and we've already seen that it's hard to tell who's already controlled - that leaves too many eyes in too many directions to really feel comfortable trying the stealthy approach. Plus, if we force a head-on conflict, they might have to throw everything they have at us - and that includes any, ah, 'sleeper agents' they have hiding out among the prisoners." At the back of the platform, Tiamat cracked her knuckles and grinned. "Distraction. Sure thing, boss - bosses. I think we can do that."
-
"Flying it is," Gaian Knight declared as he followed Fleur to his reconstituting stone platform. "I don't think I've been hit with enough poison or mind-controlling cheese to know whether or not I'm immune these days, but just in case I end up spouting Greek and dropping us all out of the sky, try to stay close to Tiamat - she can probably catch you." "You know, I'm pretty good at mental areas," the red-haired woman said, ostensibly to Vector but also apparently shot at Gaian and Fleur's backs. "No you aren't." He didn't turn around, but his tone made it clear that he knew exactly what was coming. "Sure I am. See this?" She pulled a heavy steel mace off her belt, thumping one end of it into her palm and giving Vector a conspiratorial toothy grin. "You apply this to mental areas, and it cures all kinds of problems. If sourpuss over there tries anything funny, it'll probably cure him, too. Might take a few tries, though!"
-
Gaian Knight was frowning under the cloth that covered his face, and raised a hand as Fleur spoke. "Ah - one concern," he said. "I was talking to Tiamat while you sent the others off; it didn't seem right to worry them, but, ah-" "You're at risk, and the sheriff and cows or whatever know it," Tiamat finished with all her usual finesse. "...right, yes. I feel fine, and if they're hosing down prisoners and forcing them to eat a bunch of dairy what little we had might not do much to us, but it's something to keep in mind. They've also been supplying three counties with this stuff, so the problem's a little bit bigger than we expected." He took a deep breath before continuing, running a hand back under his hood to rub his neck. "As for getting the prisoners out: I could probably tunnel us under the jail, but whatever this thing is, it's been shaking the ground - my tunnels are good, but it's a risk we might not want to take. There's something down there that I just can't quite...." He frowned, and behind his goggles his eyes glowed gold for a moment. "There's something down by the water table, spreading out from what I'm assuming is the meteor area he was talking about earlier. I don't like it."

"Mmh. No, think we're done." Mara glanced back at the building, unconsciously reaching up to touch the choker that was her link to both her suit and her stashed bomb components. Idiotic villains aren't our problem - for now - and will have work to do back at HAX. Going to take a couple days to really dispose of everything safely." She hummed for a moment as they made their way back to their vehicle, briefly distracted by plotting out what she'd need to neutralize and break down everything she'd acquired. "Thank you," she said, snapping back to things that weren't machine designs. "Both of you. Kept everyone from dying. Good day's work."

I see only two ranks of Super-Strength, not 4, for the grapple bonus calculation. Super-Strength 2 with three feats costs 7pp, not 4.
-
Ability total is 32pp, not 0pp (as much as we wish abilities were free...!). This is correct in the final pp tally, though. Skills, similarly, add up to 22pp. This is correct in the final tally. Final tally: 32+12+10+22+63= 139, not 140. Not a big deal on an NPC, of course.
-
I calculate the fully-enhanced Grapple bonus as 14 (str) + 4 (melee) + 2 (super-strength) = +20, not +22. I could be missing a bonus somewhere, though. Knockback is -6/-4, since a large chunk of that toughness bonus goes away when flat-footed. An area burst power with Progression [Area] 3 has a base radius distance of 50'; at rank 10 this power has a radius of 500', not 1000'. Please clarify the Comprehend power; I'm assuming from the descriptor that it's (Speak Any, Understand Any), but 'Languages 2' could mean a lot of things. Looks like you have an extra '(Descriptive Name, Descriptors)' hanging out with your Speed power. I think you want Vulnerability (Psionic), not Mental; we've effectively house ruled the name of that descriptor to keep it separate from things like the +Mental extra. Math appears to work out, otherwise. I'll let other refs weigh in on the fluff - I have no particular arguments against this character, but world fluff isn't really my area of expertise.
-
Saving Throws should be 2 + 3 + 3 = 8 PP, not 7 PP, though it looks like it's correct down in your final tally. Craft skills are Int-linked; with an int bonus of +3 and a raw rank of 2, the final skill bonus is +5, not +6. Just to make it easier to read, please note Mental Blast in its more base-effect form: Damage 7 (Extras: Alternate Save [Will], Range 2 [Perception]) [28 PP] (mental blast) It seems like a small thing, but it'll save anyone you play with from having to pull out their book for the definition of Mental Blast. (As a side note, I like the 'telekinetic web' power. Neat idea!) I took the liberty of fixing the formatting on your DC block - the forums don't really like tabs and it won't always line up properly. Your final pp tally is off. According to the powers and abilities listed, your true tally is: Abilities (22) + Combat (14) + Saving Throws (8) + Skills (13) + Feats (10) + Powers (39) = 106 PP Thus, you are over-budget by 1pp. As a less math-based concern, it's important to note that your character is extremely vulnerable to things like robots, and any other enemies which are psionic-immune. That's fine if that's the build you were going for, but it'll be important to keep in mind that this vulnerability is going to exclude Errant from many threads and situations.

"The sheriff's fine," Gaian Knight assured Vector, making his way over to the man-shaped cocoon of rock and - with a brush of his hand - expanding the nose and mouth air holes to an opening the man could speak through, if he so chose. "He isn't going anywhere for a while, but he's safe - thought we might want someone left that we could talk to. Ah - Tiamat, would you mind...?" "They called us the enemies of the...'holy cow'," his companion supplied after a moment of thought, complete with skeptical finger quotes. "Or 'divine cattle', maybe. I guess that'd explain the milk...hm. Hey!" While the others were speaking to the man in the office, she'd made her way over to Gaian Knight and proceeded to flick the stone-encased sheriff in the forehead. "
