Dragonfly shifts a little of her flight to super-strength, so that she can carry the princess more comfortably. Ranged Attack Roll vs. Vampire (blast) (1d20 + 10=27) DC25 Toughness for the vampire, and Dragonfly retreats back into the room a bit so that the thing will have a harder time ambushing her from the windows.
-
Her wings flared as Dragonfly took off, shooting after the princess like she'd been fired from a bow. Fortunately her suit was fast - not as fast as a lot of heroes, and certainly not on par with the likes of Victory, but fast enough to keep ambulatory dress-wearing negotiation pieces from crashing through glass windows to their deaths: the heroine - and the damsel - slowed to a stop just barely in time. Dragonfly could have sworn she heard one of her wing nodes tap against the glass behind her. [bg=#555555]"Starting to suspect you aren't very smart,"[/bg] she noted, buying a little time to glance around and figure out where she was going to put the princess. could just fly off with her - would probably get kidnapped again - annoying [bg=#555555]"Literally...phrase....'throwing away your meal ticket'. Not complaining, of course. Still. Kind of stupid."[/bg]

Dragonfly swore to herself (but not out loud: villain interruptions or not, this was a wedding, after all) and got to her feet. She hadn't been expecting that kind of security on a machine that size - how? - doesn't seem that smart - interrupted a wedding full of heroes - help? - theft? - and now two people were on the other side of a one-way portal. A portal that looked to be seconds from sealing shut. right - priorities She stood, and a hand went to the heavy, metal choker that rested at the base of her neck; it flared, sending a ripple across her body that left her armor in its wake. Said armor came immediately to life, lighting up and bringing defenses online - and, more importantly, its array of spatial engines. The heroine brought every one of those engines online, shunting as much power as she could manage into reaching out for the space around the portal as she did some desperate calculations. Every seam, every bit of glass on her armor shone neon blue with the juice she was channeling, but it seemed to work: the edges of the portal seemed to distort, a chaotic framework of compressed and refracted reality twisting into being like a shifting, unnatural crystal lattice. Unfortunately, the portal didn't give the impression that it had stopped so much as it had slowed, the collapse stuttering and delayed as if it suddenly had a greater distance to go through before it could close up on itself. [bg=#555555]"Would work quickly,"[/bg] she said through gritted teeth, sounding awfully stressed and distracted. [bg=#555555]"Can only slow this down so much."[/bg]
-
Yeah, figured I'd leave getting them BACK to Dok, since he's already accessed the device. Free actions: suit up, activate defenses (just in case). Dragonfly spends a hero point to slow the collapse of the portal.

[bg=#555555]"No,"[/bg] Dragonfly countered, grimly. should have realized zombie was a distraction - taken it out sooner - lesson learned - not going to let him take another drink [bg=#555555]"You won't."[/bg] And then in a blink, she was gone - or rather, not gone, but simply not where she was: in an instant her wings had flared back into being and she took off, sweeping toward the vampire in a low arc. Her right hand made a fist, and about an inch off the fist her suit made a long blade of blue-tinted twisted space - twisted space that got shoved right through the vampire's chest as she rushed up to meet him.
-
Dragonfly's not so much for the bantering when a girl's getting her neck sucked on, unfortunately! Free Actions: shift her aux. array back to flight. Move Action: fly up to the vampire. Standard Action: Melee Attack Roll vs. Vampire (sword) (1d20 + 10=25) IC pending on results, because if the vampire's stunned or too startled she may end up needing to surge and catch the princess before the girl brains herself on the table. Alas for dimensional pockets that are (probably) too full to store ladies in dresses.
-
Dragonfly was, perhaps, never so glad for her wings as she was when she realized they meant she'd been spared the gore as the zombie had fallen. Spatially-dissolved or not, she was pretty sure she didn't want to touch whatever might have been left; even as it was she would probably have to give her armor a really, really good cleaning when she got home. If she got home...but she shook her head, shoving that thought away. not like me - haven't met a game I couldn't beat - besides - would mean losing to Ironclad - can't have that She brought herself back down to ground-level, and her wings flickered and disappeared as she diverted most of her auxiliary power away from them and into the rest of her suit. She set her feet, braced both hands against the door, and shoved.
-
Hm. Fair enough. Guess it did seem too good to be true.... Clearly I just need to get Dragonfly a paralyze or stun or something, for when this comes up.
-
[bg=#555555]"Mmh,"[/bg] Dragonfly confirmed, distractedly, and waved a hand. Miss Americana could probably guess that she was sorting through whatever readings and technological information she'd (literally) dug out of the cockpit. [bg=#555555]"No immediate hazard. No atmosphere. Slows or stops entropy leak. Probably would have noticed if giant snakes were already here, too. Am sure we can salvage, patched, moved. Miss Americana and me, I mean. Worst we should have to deal with is adjusting to new designs. And that part's fun."[/bg]
-
Dragonfly took aim and gave the amassed fleshpile another twisting, if smaller, distortion to the face, trying to simultaneously dodge its hands and keep an eye on the ceiling. [bg=#555555]"Trying to bring down the...? ....of course you are. Mmh. Wonder if it's on purpose or by accident. Zombies...probably accident. Not very smart. Bright side: suppose if I survive the collapse, I have easy escape from you. Large if. Would rather not find out."[/bg]
-
Ranged Attack Roll vs. Zombie Megazord (blast; Power Attack -2/+2) (1d20 + 10 - 2=21) Just a normal blast, this time. DC27, plus the DC27 it'll have to save against from the previous attack's Secondary Effect.
-
[bg=#555555]"Nothing's invincible,"[/bg] Dragonfly countered, making her way back into the rear. Most of the parts she'd just tossed into her dimensional pocket (provided they were inert); a few she'd had her two 'helpers' carry, just to give them something to do. And because if they had their hands full they'd be that much slower if they decided to try shoving a pike through her.... [bg=#555555]"Not gods, not even supposed immortals. Eve-"[/bg] She caught herself, barely, before pointing out that even Omega had been driven off with his tail between his legs. [bg=#555555]"-rything has a weakness, solution. Just have to find it. Or hope it doesn't come up. Mmh - cockpit's...messy. But in okay shape. Salvaged some, but the ship's leaking entropy. Not safe to take out of vacuum. Only barely safe as-is. Need to patch, remove, or abandon."[/bg]

that's...gross - so so gross - why Dragonfly nimbly dodged around the creature's grasping hands as her armor flared again in a manner that would have been all too familiar to the vampire, if he hadn't run off: both gauntlets built up a hungry, lashing distortion that got dropped right onto the super-zombie's head, washing over it like a hungry, angry living force. why would you even create something like this - so gross - at least it's big and slow - and gross
-
Ranged Attack Roll vs. Zombie Megazord (blast; Power Attack -2/+2) (1d20 + 10 - 2=28) ....well, then. Alright. Same stunt as before, I think; going for that stagger or stun before the thing can lay a hand on Dragonfly. With the power attack, that's DC27 Toughness now, DC27 Toughness at the start of Dragonfly's next turn.
-
zombies - hate zombies - ugly - smell bad - never give up Dragonfly shot up into the air almost as soon as the armored corpses started moving...or, at least, as far up as she could manage within the confines of the hallway. Last time she'd let herself get within arms' reach of a zombie hoard she'd gotten dog-piled, and it had taken ages to get the smell out of her jacket. got knocked out too, she mused, raining a blast down on the nearest shambling armored form. not the zombies' fault though - Push - ugh - another reason to hate zombies - annoying memories
-
Move Action: Dragonfly takes off higher up into the hallway, trying to stay well out of the reach of those zombies and whatever melee weapons they may be using. Ranged Attack Roll vs. Zombies (blast) (1d20 + 10=17) I have no idea if that even hits. DC25 if it does. I really need to get Dragonfly a proper area attack....

"Petty? Naaaah," Gaian Knight replied, though there wasn't any humor in his voice. He'd weathered the ghost's attack well enough, though even if he hadn't he wasn't sure he could do much to them; instead, he'd turned his attention toward Ariel, sweeping out a glowing hand and sending a stream of stone projectiles hir way. "You just go around murdering people in cold blood because a couple other, unrelated people screwed you over half a millennium ago. I certainly can't see anything petty about that."
-
Bookkeeping: GK's down to 1HP, since he had to reroll a toughness save. Well, not much he can do about those ghosts! Ariel, then. Ranged Attack Roll vs. Ariel (autofire blast) (1d20 + 12=26) DC27 (base) + 1 (autofire bonus) = DC28 Toughness Save.

[bg=#555555]"Thousands of kilo-- the size of a planet?"[/bg] Even with her features hidden behind layers of metal, Dragonfly's posture showed that she was clearly staring at Miss Americana with a look of...just a look, trying to come to terms with something that size pulling a planet apart. [bg=#555555]"Explains the damage. Crazed drone. Don't know if it would have been the snapping out of it, or just snapping from the--"[/bg] She remembered where she was, and the company she was keeping, and frowned. was supposed to be doing something? - keeping up appearances - mmh [bg=#555555]"....mmh. Salvage. Yes."[/bg] She gestured at the smaller drones, making her way over to the front of the ship. Once there (and trying very hard not to think about the company she was keeping) she flexed her hands, plates on her gauntlets shifting out of the way to deploy a number of thin tools and widgets. [bg=#555555]"So. Terminus technology. Time to see what makes it tick."[/bg]
-
Dragonfly'll go ahead and take 10 on Craft (Mechanical) and/or Craft (Electronic), for a nice solid check of 30. Her focus, of course, is on salvage and not repairs; she's not inclined to let these kids have a working ship! But she is kinda interested in how they build things in the Terminus....
-
Dragonfly may have been in a bit of a hurry, but she still took a moment to make a rude gesture at the ceiling and cast doubts on the vampire's maternal lineage before moving on at a pretty good speed, skimming along the ground at a pretty good speed to try to track down the princess. The headache she was bound to have later aside, that had been awfully cathartic, and sending creatures of the night fleeing wasn't too bad for raising one's spirits. have to wonder how Ironclad is doing - probably well - should hurry - don't know where vampire went - should move while he's - phrase? - 'licking his wounds'
-
Dragonfly felt the mind control - oh, she felt it - but by the time it made its way into her brain it was nothing but static and noise, divorced from its original intent. Unless that intent was to piss her off, anyway. If that was the case, it worked quite well indeed. Even her suit looked pissed off: the lenses flared, the wings burst into being behind her as four long blades of neon blue light, and she braced herself as similar light seemed to run along between every seam and line, working inward from her extremities and gathering at her gauntlets. Those gauntlets used the energy to build a very, very large distortion that got hurled straight at the vampire's chest. It rippled and twisted through the air like a hungry thing, and even after hitting him seemed to linger, like it was clinging, devouring. [bg=#555555]"Stay out of my head!"[/bg]
-
Ranged Attack Roll vs. Vampire (blast) (1d20 + 10=30) Hmm. I took the time to do some math! I'm gonna go with a stunt: Blast 10 (Extras: Secondary Effect, Flaws: Action [Full]) [20/20] That'll hit him with a DC25 Toughness save now, and a DC25 Toughness save at the start of Dragonfly's next turn. It has slightly lower odds of outright KOing the guy, but significantly better odds of at least staggering or stunning.
