Dragonfly frowned, bringing her force field back up around her profile with a thought, and picking her way closer along the wall where there was less mess to shift and give herself away with. wish we had more time to prepare for this - never enough time before the shooting starts - mmh She tapped a finger on her leg and ran some numbers in her head. Guess you don't get your chemical back after all, she sent back, tilting her head and watching the two villains very carefully. Will take the short one - leave you and your armored shell to deal with the one with super-strength.

:argh: Darn you Dragonfly and your lack of surging. Guess she'll have to do better when her turn comes up, or hope that Nick does better. No pressure Nick!
-
Dragonfly shook her head - though from the perspective of anyone nearby, for absolutely no reason at all. No - seems fine here. Creepy, but no threats. She glanced at Push. No...villain threats. You should relax...make sure you're okay. Weren't the only one to get hit with something. Guy with the ring lost control of his powers, looks like. Gingerly touching the side of her head, she frowned. going to need to ice that - annoying - cold enough as it is "Ironclad's fine," she announced, apparently out of the blue. "Got compelled to go visit someone. Not in any danger, let her know we aren't either."

Gaian Knight had to grin to himself as the last up the upper part of the hive started to pull together. It couldn't hurt to show off a little, right? Besides, I want to find that water table...yes. That's a perfectly good excuse! Without budging from his 'wise man on the mountain' pose, and completely without warning, the earthmover dropped out of the sky like...well, like a rock, plummeting down through the top of the hive as it closed up over his head. Deep down under the hive the earth could be heard rumbling, like tons and tons of dirt and stone were being shoved out of the way as something moved at impossible speed.

Toughness Save vs. Armor Guy 2's Attack, DC27 (1d20 + 7=27) ....holy crap. Merry Christmas to you too, Invisible Castle.
-
Dragonfly quietly tapped a boot against the wall, looking around the tunnels as the muck fell away from her feet. "No complaints here," she observed, matching her friend's quiet tone. "Smells better, feels better underfoot. More space for a fight, if we have to fight. A step up." "Close enough to your property, anyway," she continued after a pause. "Transitive property of equality. You own - partly own - the company. Company owns the property. You own/partly own the property. Just have more restrictions on what you can do with it." She shrugged. "Likely not entirely that simple, but simple enough."
-
Dragonfly scowled, taking quick stock of the situation. She grit her teeth, the air around both gauntlets twisting and folding as they built a distortion somewhat larger than normal. "No buildings full of civilians this time," she noted. "No open air to fly away in. Would offer to let you give up if I thought you'd take it." Both hands came forward, launching a very large and churning shockwave that tore through the air at the villain who'd been sitting in the now-toppled chair, leaving a faint electric blue trace behind it as it sped unerringly toward is target. "And if you hadn't almost killed a building of people."
-
Dragonfly sat and stewed in her own impatience while Slick made her way around the block; after a minute or two one finger was furiously tapping on her arm, and shortly thereafter she'd resorted to doing some design work in her head on a project or two back at the warehouse. Thankfully, the disguised hero(ine?) made her reappearance before the young woman had resorted to solving math puzzles - nothing good ever came of being bored enough to do math puzzles. As soon as the door guards turned their heads Dragonfly stepped out into the open, gauntlet raised and firing off a first shot at the closest thug, the other gauntlet already charging.

Horray, surprise round! Ranged Attack Roll vs. Door Guard (blast) (1d20 + 8=18) Hopefully that hits. DC24 toughness save if it does; probably should have power attacked. I'll have to do that if they're still standing when the actual rounds start up.
-
I...er, have no earthly idea which ones are still on their feet. I know at least one of the suits' toughness rolls was posted in chat, and I'm guessing others' were as well, but I'm just not sure what state the villains are in at this point. EDIT: Well, then. As much as I'm tempted to stick with the Designated Girl Fight, Dragonfly's not that picky and Push seems to have it well(ish) in hand. Ranged Attack Roll vs. Chair-Powersuit (blast; Master Plan; Power Attack -2/+2) (1d20 + 8 + 1 - 2=26) Sweet. Really need to get Improved Critical on her gauntlets or blast power.... DC26 toughness save for the staggered, stunned chair-hopping villain.
-
Initiative Roll (Speed of Thought) (1d20 + 6=22) Neat.

Gaian Knight held very, very still, entirely too aware of the legs like columns and the jaws like vices and the- It's probably best not to think about fire and stingers, he reflected. I think I'd like to sleep tonight. Coughing, he edged toward the entrance. "I'm, ah, glad you all like it so much. I'll just leave this one here, then, at least until I have something bigger done for you. You can stay relatively warm and please, let me know if you notice anything you want changed, or don't see here. I'm going to go ahead and...er...get to work...outside. It's much easier that way." That last bit was only half true, he grimaced to himself, collecting some rocks together and hopping on, heading up into the air. Working the earth was always much easier on the ground, where he felt more connected...but it was much, much harder when he was surrounded by giant insects. He sat cross-legged on his rock now, a soft earthy golden glow covering him, his platform, and the little bits of rock and dirt that were just kind of hanging out up in the air to keep him company. Hands in his lap, he sank his senses into the earth. Heh. Architect for some giant honey bees...ah, Ma, if you could see me now, he chuckled, and got to work, large masses of dirt and stone pulling themselves up out of the ground to begin the skeleton of a hive worthy of such interesting new...friends.

"Romantic. Would explain the lack of heat," Dragonfly noted, trotting to keep up. "Though walking dead are rarely a good sign." 'Dishabille' - cute "Good to know, at least - can expect at least two enemies. More, maybe. Could be worse." She frowned, thinking back. "Seem to have a bad history with hobos. And villains aiding villains. And sewers. You have strange luck. Optimistic plan, at least. Will find your property, if nothing else. And 'nothing else' isn't likely."
-
Dragonfly hmmed, taking the little card and inspecting it as they walked. Turning it over in her hands, she wished she had more bells and whistles on her visor - a closer look would be very interesting. "Clever. Compact. Subtle. Clear. I like it...a good piece of work. How did you--" She shook her head. "No, sorry. Focus." She folded the card into her dimensional pocket, where it'd be safe in case she needed it, jogging a bit to catch up after she'd lagged behind. "Explains why you were in Greenbank - knew you had property out here. Didn't know where. Should spend more time mapping out who owns what...criminal storage slows the process down. Speaking of: who's the thief?"
-
Dragonfly ran up to the ruined storm drain and stopped at the edge, teleporting down to save herself what would likely be a bit too long of a jump. A quick glance around didn't tell her much, and from the way Ironclad was just standing there her friend wasn't having much luck either. She sighed, bringing her infravision back up and peering about anyway. "The sewers. Of course. Always the sewers with you - why?" "Sneaky and fast," she observed, shaking her head. "Bad combination. Have a better sensory suite than I do, I'm sure - thoughts?"
-
Dragonfly caught up, lightly panting and with some of her dirty-blonde hair sticking to her forehead. She brushed it aside, not that it helped her look any less tired. really - really work on wings Glad, at least, to no longer truly be bringing up the rear she glanced at the electronic lock on the door further down. She couldn't even be bothered to open the thing normally - with a tired grumpy noise she glanced at it, lights dancing behind her eyes as she strongarmed the system - a feat made much easier by being one of the founders, and having helped install the security in the first place. She opened the door and gestured through it, wryly commenting, "More stairs. After you."
-
Swearing in Japanese, Dragonfly threw up one arm and a large, circular shield twisted into being at her fingertips, facets lighting up in a soft electric blue as the lightning hit the shield and scattered, splitting off into a hundred tinier (and more importantly, harmless) tongues of electricity that were happy enough to lick the air and fade away. what was that - mutation magic science - difficult to tell - theft leans toward science - too many assumptions She frowned, noting the figure's clothing and the disturbing strength it seemed to have - she carefully noted to stay out of its reach. Or probable reach. That coat didn't offer much as to body type.... The shield flickered and collapsed, but even as it disappeared that same hand had fired off a shockwave at the poorly-dressed burglar. "Going to ask ONCE. Put down the barrel, give up. No more lightning."
-
Dragonfly had opened with a shockwave straight at the loudmouth...only to have the loudmouth not be precisely where he was a second ago, her shot going wide and scattering harmlessly on a support. Her face was unreadable behind her visor as she lowered her hand; her voice was not so hidden. "It's...fine," she said, in the careful controlled tone and paced voice of someone trying fairly hard to not pick more than one fight at a time. "As long as we win the fight." if I shoot him he won't be useful anymore - so tempting - have to concentrate on acquiring the suits "Just...keep your eyes on the enemy."
-
You're a bad man. Con check vs. Fatigue; DC10 (stairs! ) (1d20 + 0=7) Fatigue'd! I'll...leave that there, for now, though I suspect I'll be wanting to recover from it later.
-
sassy sexy - what? Dragonfly barely stopped herself from glancing behind her to figure out who Slick was talking about. She scowled, but grudgingly admitted, "Attractive. Sleezy, a little. But attractive. Good luck." One gauntlet lit up blue and started a low and subtle hum and she charged up and waited for Slick's...'distraction'. something very unsettling about that man - woman? - person sometimes - still - good hero - heroine? "Will be ready when you have them distracted."
-
Master Plan is going into effect immediately, of course. +1 bonus to your attack rolls and skill checks. Quinn's poked me into doing a combined attack, so: Ranged Attack Roll vs. Big-Mouthed Powersuit (blast; Master Plan; Combined Attack with Push) (1d20 + 8 + 1=11) .......ouch. Yeah, no, that won't hit anything. You're on your own for this, Quinn.
-
Dragonfly sighed, but she'd kept up with the train of thought - with infravision up but the warehouse still in cold blues and grays she knew something odd had to be going on, and it might as well be checked out. She almost brought her force field up before realizing she already had (stupid - focus) and just making a couple quick teleports, one to the warehouse rooftop and the next down through the broken skylight to the floor below. Both gauntlets were charged and ready, quietly humming as she cast her gaze around the building. "Thanks for the warning," she muttered. "Still. Very dramatic. Nice."
-
Dragonfly groaned but headed after Etain, pausing for just a moment to link to a computer and send an alert to evacuate the floors in question, just in case there were stray employees or visitors. can't hurt to be careful - easier without others underfoot anyway The stairs were not a happy prospect, but she soldiered on; it was, she had to admit, at least much easier going down. The sound of their steps echoing in the stairwell made her realize something important, too: she was finally getting her hearing back, bit by bit. Her head still hurt, though...but then, it almost always did.

I'm assuming at least a minute has passed for not-conversation, nifty illusions, and stair-taking. Fortitude Save vs. Deafness; DC15 (1d20 + 4=22) Horray! Dragonfly's abysmal fortitude saves didn't screw her over (for once).
-
A call for initiative if I've ever heard one, since we seem to be short on diplomats. Initiative Roll (1d20 + 6=26) Hah! I'm also assuming Dragonfly brought her force field up and readied her shield as they ran in, because she's smart like that.
