"Call it here and do what, punch an exit through the hull? Unless you've got teleporters on that thing - and I don't think you do - it's not gonna do you any better over here than it is back in the dock," Eclipse pointed out, leaning over the second-story railing. She had her blaster in her hand, but she wasn't pointing it at anybody, which was...probably a good sign. "Plus, half of us are working for the job-infringing station-nabbers out there, so they probably won't go shooting at us." 'Probably' being the operative word, there, but she didn't really feel like emphasizing that if she could help it. She frowned down at her crew, injured and worried as they were, expression largely unreadable. "....look, the normal Terran we really don't care about. She can go with or do whatever she wants, even if you've gotta carry her there. The other one is in a damned recording murdering a Knight, and you'll pardon me if we don't just take her word for her innocence...but we don't really have the time to get an explanation, either. Plus," she added, gesturing lazily at the larger room as if she'd forgotten her gun was still in hand, "this timing sucks. This whole place would have been full of smugglers and pirates and just the worst lot. Some Lor show up and demand control of the station, I bet there's a mad dash to the docks, all sorts of people piling up in ships and kicking off into space." "You could lose a lot of people in that kind of crowd," she said, leaning over the railings. Glowing purple irises stared down at the fugitives and fugitive-aides, their expression flat. "Half my crew's hurt and I'm waaay up here, and I bet you could beat me to your ship and take off while Franky's getting stalled by station controllers trying to jettison their records. And then I'd have to give chase, 'cuz I've got a job to do, and when I finally caught up to you we'd be somewhere calmer and more conducive to a nice, rational discussion. And wouldn't that be terrible? I bet you'd have to leave right now, though. Right now."

Matt's dog sniffed at the air, whining, and Matt himself frowned. "Yeah, I smell it too. ....can't be right, though. Remember 'em both, just in case - at least one of them's our guy." He reached into his back pocket, pulling out his mask to tie it around his face. No sense in causing extra trouble if the police came back - some kid hero poking around was going to be a lot less concerning than some idiot civilian. Hopefully. The dog took the opportunity to change, too, albeit more literally - like a struck match, its mundane disguise burned way in black smoke and shadow, eyes like burning coals eyeing the window. "Scents rarely lie, Howl," it advised. "Yeah, well. Here's to hoping." Grim dissolved into smoke of his own, billowing through the window to land lightly on the other side; his dog wasn't far behind. "Anyone home?" he called out, peering around. "Haven't met a murder yet who didn't stick around, so I'm hoping you're still here, rather than...anywhere else."

"You can't keep running forever!" Eclipse called out - she'd caught up to Sea Devil in the commotion, though she didn't seem keen to get too close...and seemed awfully keen to keep at least one or two sturdy objects between herself and the Terran. "Believe me, I've tried it once or twice. These people are pretty happy to overlook or forget a lot of deaths, but you killed someone they can't just ignore. They're just gonna keep sending worse and worse people after you, and everyone else is gonna get dragged in. I mean, look at this - this is just the start!" She made a silent prayer to whatever space-gods were listening that everyone down below showed good trigger control, but she kept her focus where it needed to be. "Look, for what it's worth, we don't really care about your friend. As long as she isn't killing anyone, she can go do whatever she likes, including go back home in peace. Believe me, we aren't looking to pick a fight with her or her sister."

"....yeah, okay," Grim conceded. "Front door for me, though. I'd rather see where I'm going if I'm pulling that stuff. You guys, though," he added, glancing down at his dogs. "One of you go follow the ghost in case she's in some other room?" He figured there was supposed to be some kind of grand entrance to this kind of thing - some heroic quip or formal greeting or warning to the denizens of the afterlife - but if there was, he'd never learned it. With as little preamble as possible, the teenage psychopomp walked up to the front door, pushed it open, and stepped inside. "....yo?" One of the dogs, meanwhile, had trotted toward the building's wall at its master's orders, and proceeded to push its way through. It was a less graceful maneuver than the ghost's - the physical world seemed to fight it, shadowy body roiling as it was forced into solid matter - but none the less a smiling dog's head poked through after Kimber only shortly after she'd disappeared. "Hello!"

"....yeah, okay. Saw that coming," Matt muttered as he saw the crowd, eyeing the police tape with a little more familiarity than he'd have liked. "C'mon. Let's see what the side without the people looks like." As casually as he was able, Matt and his companion made their way down the sidewalk and around the side of the block. He was, by all appearances, just a kid walking his dog...albeit, a kid with intent to trespass on a crime scene, and one with much sharper ears than a human was supposed to have. Not to mention the ears on the dog, which weren't just for show.... He tried to glean what he could from the not-too-distant crowd's chatter while he figured out how to get to the back of the house unseen.

Eclipse is out of the room; not sure if she's subject to Singularity's shenanigans. If so, let me know and I'll get a roll in. In case it's needed, too: Initiative Roll: 1d20+8 14

Teagan raised an eyebrow when the robbers started covering their own - she could have almost respected that, if they were firing at anybody else. "Clever monkeys," she...complimented?...generously allowing the hail of bullets to chase her away from the loot-bearers. She was unsettlingly okay with that option, though, and as she ducked between cover and urban terrain one of the robbers found himself unable to drive her away from both his friend and himself...and paid for his choices with a roundhouse that managed to lift him off the floor before sending him, crumpled, to the ground a few feet away. "Maybe I wasn't clear," she growled, cracking her knuckles and glaring at the others with fire in her eyes. "Nobody. Leaves."

Eclipse didn't speak whatever stupid language the Terrans were using, but she knew body language. When the green one armored up and bolted, she hissed out something sour that translated poorly into an epithet about broken eggs, shoving herself off the bar and dashing after their quarry as fast as she could without being able to climb walls. "Oh, for - all of this for the one we aren't really after! Someone tell the pink one that we don't care if she goes home. I'll take her there myself if I've gotta! Tell her her sister's waiting, and that Charlie misses her! Get her to calm her friend down before she does something that'll make things worse for her!" Her matte metal tail flicked out of her cloak behind her, curving to help her keep her balance as she dashed out the cantina, trying to keep an eye on Aquaria.

Oh ho, clever robbers. Tiamat will run up and clobber either 5 or 3 - whoever's closest to the door, to put herself at least a little more in the way (or, if they're more or less equally close, she'll clobber whoever's closest to her!). Same deal as before - full power attack, for an auto-14 on the attack roll, DC22 Toughness.
-
The redhead lurched a bit as the single round hit her in the chest, but it made a rather more metallic sound than it should have - and the music still blaring out of her earbuds stopped with a strangled, electronic warble. Pulling off her sunglasses, Teagan gave the perforated mp3 player a critical once-over before turning crimson eyes on her attacker. He never got another good chance. At that range she only had to duck the barrel of his gun, not the bullets - she twisted out of the way of the next shots with surprising speed for someone her size, closed the gap, and grabbed the man by the collar. "That was mine," she growled, lifting him off the ground. "I liked it." Her ire was the last thing he was going to hear for a while: with both hands still hauling him by his collar, she slammed the man down into the floor with an unsettling strength, rising up over his prone body in challenge. "None of the rest of you are making it out of here. Blame this one if you must."

Well! It'd be terribly rude to turn down that Set-Up. She'll close on Robber 1 and do a full power attack on him. Taking 10 should still hit (effective roll: 14), if I'm reading their defensive PL correctly - if I'm not, hooray for Set-Up! Her human unarmed attacks are normally a cozy DC22 - with the full power attack, that's DC27 Toughness save for the robber.

Mara had opened her mouth to protest the dessert-first policy, both as a general stance and a dubious view on the tactic, but having found herself in the overwhelming minority there she wisely relegated herself to grumbling and the acquisition of a small snack of her own while they waited for the kitchen drama to run its course. There was, however, only so much canned Frozen someone with a perfect memory could endure. As soon as she had an opportunity, between tracks and before Yolanda could attempt second helpings, the engineer had sought the young girl's permission in producing both Yoyo's smaller guitar and a full-size, deeper-toned number for herself out of whatever dimensionally-twisted place she kept such things. It wasn't much of a concert - more a practice session, really, playing careful backup to some things her moppet had been practicing, but to her it was - with a quickly-datalinked apology Vince's way - better than anything the local DJ had on hand.

Matt eyed Mischa with unease until his dog broke the silence, scratching at the man's front door. "....yeah, okay," he said, relaxing a bit. "Guess I've got a guy to visit. Here." He put the heat ray down and gently kicked it to the other side of the room - way from himself, sure, but away from Mischa, too. "Don't really like these things. Keep it in case your stabber finds you before I find him. C'mon, Fang. Time to go for a run." His dog gave a sharp, happy bark as they made their way out, leaving the drug-peddler behind and jogging their way toward the Fens with a grim determination and a sincere hope that no one else would stop them in an alley.

She was heard before she could be seen - just out of sight the door to the women's bathroom thumped open, a humming voice pausing to throw paper towels into the trash as softly-thumping boots carried their wearer back into the bank proper after a visit to the only throne to which even the mighty had to pay respects once in a while. A full six feet of red-headed amazon rounded the corner into the lobby, and it took her almost two full steps to realize something was amiss before she was brought to a halt by...well. By a sign that her quick trip to the bank wasn't going to be so quick. Pulling out earbuds audibly blasting something that sounded suspiciously like Tchaikovsky, she scanned the room with eyes near-unreadable behind sunglasses but a body posture that was more bemusement and caution than fear. "....heh, you guys've got some timing."

Talisyn took a sip of her drink and hissed, drawing her lip back over her canine teeth as she let it burn its way down her throat. "Ooogh. That's vile. I might need to get a bottle of that before we leave. Speakin' of, worried we might've been stood up - we were supposed to meet some friends. Maybe you've seen--" When Rock move her eyes slid sideways, first to glance at her crewmate with concern, and then to carefully follow his gaze without turning her head. From behind all was well, but the bartender and her earthen companion could see a face with an expression so flat it threatened to go two-dimensional. "....please," she implored, barely audible over the din, "please tell me she didn't. No armoring up yet, please. If she fights, let her go, but not far; we need her to lead us to the other one."

"We go quietly," Talisyn had ordered, crew and two guests gathered up before they made their way into the station proper. "Our targets are dangerous and we don't know what frame of mind they're in, and by this point it's clear they have pretty good help. They probably don't know we're after them, but we don't know much about what they can do still, and I don't like even odds." Not for the first time, she wished she'd had a chance to properly plan this out...but she couldn't risk them taking off again. They'd been hard enough to track as it was. "We need to get as much information as we can before we take them, and we need to make sure that when we take them it's as clean s possible. This place is gonna be built for bar brawls, not weapons that can punch holes in hulls. No civilian casualties, period." "Oh, and, uh - Knight," she added, glancing up at him from the blaster she'd been checking and re-checking. "You're gonna have to pick between staying out of sight or being a little less....all of that," she insisted, gesturing at his armor. "Even without it, half the smugglers in this place are gonna smell you a light year out, but do your best. Worst case, we don't want to overplay our hand." She slid into the cantina with all the ease and practice of a regular...and, given her colorful history, that may as well have been the case. It wasn't much of a dive bar, but she'd woken up in worse. She'd blacked out in worse, too, come to think of it...ah, better times. "Been a long haul," she brightly provided the bartender in lieu of introduction, sliding over a chit - enough to buy her a drink, plus enough to buy her good will, not so much as to attract much attention. "Gimme something that'll help scrub the last couple days out of my long-term memory."

Grim jogging a bit to catch up, dogs right on his heels. With their master finally in his 'hero' getup, the creatures had taken the distraction to change themselves: no longer flesh and blood, they looked like they were made of smoke and darkness with eyes like round, burning coals. Their teeth seemed real enough, though, as they grinned at the onlookers to make sure the path through didn't close up before they could rejoin the ghost and her necromancer friend. "So, uh, stupid question," he proffered, glancing between the house and the courier. "What was getting delivered? 'cos if this guy knew something was up with this place and ordered anyway, it's either really stupid or no good."

"That is unfortunate," Wraith mused, crouching. Now that they were close to their enemy her surface could be seen rippling, changing from her usual sleek silver to something more matte and darker grey, like sylvanite or unworked iron. It didn't make her eyes any easier to see, though they could still be spotted by their absence - large, almond-shaped areas of absolute black. "I would normally like to separate them from their light, but you may be correct - we do not know what they can do, especially if they are so active that they taint the land. Not everyone here can see well in darkness, either. And...we cannot assume they have only normal humans, or humanoids, available either." She moved her weight slightly, craning her head rather bonelessly toward the compound. "We could split up, and strike the guards as one to remove them and be free to hunt, but it is risky if they do raise an alarm. We could stick together, and make a single strike where they are weakest, but they are more likely to notice. We could create a distraction to see how they respond and draw away some of their people, but it may make them more alert to the main attack...."

"Probably," Captain Eclipse mused; she pushed herself off her chair, pulling her tail back under her cloak. "Looks like we've got a job to do. We'll try to get your sister back to you safe and sound, Wander - hopefully she makes that easy for us. Thanks for the help, and let us know if you've got anything else that we might need to know." She snapped a salute - a proper one - to the Grand Nauarchus, looking a little less pleased and flippant than she had when she came in. "Ma'am, if we're done, we'd better get started - trail's cold enough as-is. You coming, Knight, or are you sticking with your own wings?"

"Stop them," Wraith corrected, having...mostly gotten herself settled, though she'd spent the intervening moments hanging over Four in an unsettlingly predatory way, never taking more than two eyes off him. "We are better than they are - we must be. We do not 'destroy', when discussing people." "....mostly," she admitted, still looming as Four got taken away. "Still, we know where to go now, and we know - perhaps - what we can expect. As they now have information from the book, we may not want to wait."

"Well, not gonna say no to that. C'mon," he called to his dog, gesturing toward the portal. "And hey...thanks for the invite. It was fun, minus the, uh, vomit. Lemme know if you're doing another of these." He made it most of the way to the portal before pausing, turning back to the ghosts, and somehow, for the briefest of moments, looking more fitting to his costume than he should have. "If any of you ever want help moving on, I'll be around the city. Send me a message or something." And then he and his dog were gone.
