  1. Ok I suggest 1, maybe 2 posts from each of you chatting and socialising and getting back to the Magic Mesa of today, and then we can wrap! If either of you do have any ideas for the future, sing out.
  2. GM The temple was well and truly collapsed. They found bones, rages, strange ornaments to horrible Gods, dead snakes and scorpions. And plenty of the leaf which was similarly dead. But no corpse of Setho. His rags. His bones. But with the flesh picked off by natural or unnatural means, who could say if it truly was his corpse. And even if it was, had he performed sorcery for just such eventuality? Whilst this would be unknown, Dust Devil and Venomax could at least rest easy that they had destroyed a temple to the Unspeakable one, and laid waste to the plans that Setho had laid. At least, the plans they knew about. And then there was a trek back to the Magic Mesa ahead, through heat and humidity, and with plenty of dinosaur sight seeing en route!
  3. GM Everyone scowled at the name of Jack Jackson. "Integrity? Jackson?" said Kidd. "That scum has none. Jack Jackson only looks after one man. Jack Jackson..." The Wall cracked his knuckles. They were very big knuckles, and they made a very big crack. "But..." conceded Kidd. "...he is predictable. If he gets a good story. If it makes him looks good, particularly if it makes him look good on camera, then he will do pretty much anything. He's scum, but he is easily manipulated scum...." He paused, thinking. "That cuts both ways though. If Blowfish gets his claws into him, he will be under his thumb"
  4. Lament Luther could feel himself drowning in an endless sea of thick blackness. It was not pleasant, nor was it unpleasant. He felt submerged, as if looking on as an observer now. Like going to sleep but still being awake. The Void was essentially mindless. An oily psychic parasite, it existed only to feed. Any intelligence it has was rudimentary at the very best at times. A fungal intelligence, one might say. And only driven by desire. Lament fell to his knees, apparently helpless. The Void cared not. It merely reached out to Grendal's Mother intent on pulling out every happiness or joy that pulsed in her head...
  5. So if its ok with you, the Void is just going to mindlessly attack! That means feeding off her psychically and nothing else. So a solitary action, Emotion control (despair) DC 20 Will.
  6. GM The Wall shrugged. He was built for smashing things, not thinking things. Kidd scratched his stubble in thought. "I heard of him. Little pen pusher. James Johns. Guess who he is freinds with? Jack Jackson. Its a real J-feast!" Amber nodded. "There might be a paper trail, there might not. Blowfish is no fool. But it could be enough to rattle him" he mused. "Depends how legit you want to work this angle" he said, pressing Justice for a decision. "Pen pushers on one side, thumbscrews on the other. And all sorts of things in between...."
  7. Lament Although he did not say it, Lament was surprised the mother had any strength left in her legs. "See how you FALL before even a FRACTION of my POWER!" he said to her, deep and rumbling. "You now SEE your DEFEAT! It is INEVITABLE!" That is to say, possible. He gave a wink to the Raven. "LO! THE WINGS OF DEATH DO HERALD YOUR DEMISE!" he said, pointing once again to the Raven. It did have very odd eyes. Lament wondered if it was some ghastly shape changed curse. He didn't like that thought at all. This time he clamped her head in his hands and tried to force the Void to feed like it never fed before!
  8. Tough Save: 1d20+11 26 nice. If it worked before, it may work again. Move action: Feint Feint: 1d20+14 33 Standard action: Fatigue again shifting +2 DC, -2 Attack Fatigue attack: 1d20+8 20 I have a feeling that may hit, and if so a DC 22 Fort Save!
  9. Snakebite The pain of a broken nose and a lost tooth started hitting Cassie. She was a tough old bird, but she found herself thinking about the morphine in the medical kit. If there was any left. If not, maybe some native herbs or mushrooms... That was her dazed head speaking. She picked up her tranq gun and, to make sure, fired all remaining five darts into Neil. "<Even if he wakes up from that, he will be groggy as hell>" she said, with some satisfaction. She slid the gun back into her hip holter and brushed her hair back, feeling the sun on her skin. "<I'm sorry this ended in blood, Isa. But I am glad it has ended>" she said, honestly. "<I hope thats the last we see of Panuna and Kayara. But like you, I think there are some questions that need answering....>" Reaching back into the past, she tried to focus on what Neil had done before Isa and Cassie had arrived...

    Zip Zap

GM Nihilus energy met nihilus energy. Things where mighty screwed up with time and space and other dimensions right now. Effects where unpredictable. They might be catastrophic. They could even destroy the multiverse forever. Or even worse! But no. Instead, Professor Ether briefly glowed a pretty shade of pink and dissapeared completely. "Well I never saw that before!" declared Zip, who looked like he might fall apart into his constituent atoms if one even looked at him too hard.
  11. Tough: 1d20+12 30 he really is rolling well, but more importantly, he vanishes! Thats a GM fiat so Delta has, by my count... Delta - 5 HP!
  12. GM Now that Amber had some male attention, and was somehow important again, she seemed to straighten her back, put hand on hip, and place cigarrette in mouth. Kidd dutifully lit it. "Blowfish bribed the hell outta some official to get this place. You may not have noticed, but its built cheap, unsafe, and with the blood and sweat of illegals on little pay" she said, matter of factly. The Wall grunted nastily. He didn't like Amber much, especially when she ignored him, like now. "Mister John James. Or was it James John? I forget. Never mind, I guess that wont matter" she said, dismissively, smoking and puckering her lips. "So the whole damn things as rotten as you like. And this official been spending his money on gold and showgirls. I seen him in the Stacked Deck plenty of times, throwing his money away and harrassing the girls. Blowfish don't like him much. Not much at all. But he needs him, so..." she shrugged.
  13. Lament I might if I am not careful! And I thought the Void was powerful. Then, Lament saw the Raven out of the corner of his eye. "Lo! A Raven! How fares ye, oh strange portent of portentious stangeness! Does thy care to impart wisdom once more?" In other words...HEEEEELLLLLP! but he could not say such in front of the Mother. "Look, mother! A raven doth approach to signal your doom! Look at its strange eldritch weirdness! Doth ye not have wisdom nor wit to read the signs?" he taunted the Mother. And hoping she would look away, even for an instance. Because he was about to put his hand on her face and suck more life out of her!
  14. Ok! Notice: 1d20+12 27 Free action: Speak to Raven! Free action: Activate Partial Concealment Move Action: Feint Feint: 1d20+14 30 Standard Action: Shifting Power Attack +2 DC / -2 Attack Fatigue Fatigue attack: 1d20+8 19 Lets hope that mighty feint works. Her defence penalty from fatigue might help. If it does hit, then a DC 22 Fort Save vs Fatigue!
  15. I posted Rev's explanation so see if she goes for it!
  16. GM "I don't know. You bruised your knuckles pretty bad on my face" spat Cassie. She was spitting blood. And yes, a tooth. And her nose was broken. Not that she minded right now. She needed to survive and that was all. She wriggled free of his grasp with an elbow to his face, then turned around to face him, body low, guard raised. No tricks or feints. No flashy kicks. She just kept her guard up and backed off a step or two. Perhaps he would have his own broken nose to contend with...
  17. So move action to escape Standard action to to a defensive attack: +2 defence, -2 attack Punch: 1d20+10 26 its going her way again. So thats a DC 21 Tough Save
  18. Ok! So move action: Try to escape from grapple Escape from grapple: 1d20+18 38 lets just check that wins before chosing standard action!
  19. GM Slowly, the door creaked open. It looked like it might split in two for a moment, and an old rusty nail theatrically fell out and clinked on the stone below. Morgen's head popped out. It was hard to miss. Her pink pale flesh, that burnt out eye (that stared at them despite being scar tissue and opaque whiteness) and her red hair that looked like a birds nest right now. She did at least appear to be wearing clothes. "Giant!" she said. "And...you!" she said, remembering Voin but less clearly. "Wheres the chilly one?" she said, coldly, not fond of Comrade Frost. "What do you want? How are you going to help me? I'm on my own path! I don't need any help!"
  20. GM And so...back at the Sunny Sunshine Basement Kidd and the Wall were playing cards and drinking (in moderation). They seemed almost friendly. For now. "You got her?" grunted the Wall, redundantly. It was obviously Amber, minus one shoe. "Well, Ill be damned" grunted Kidd. "You run into any trouble from Blowfish?" "We sure did!" said Amber, trying to redo her hair when she saw Kidd. Kidd was not a film star, but he had a certain handsomeness and charm, and Amber acted like she did out of reflex. A man with a gun? A damsel in distress? Some might call her shallow. She would call herself a survivor. "I can take care of myself, honey! Especially if I have a man with a big gun!" she grinned, still not quite sober. This was music to Kidds ears, of course. "I'm sure you can handle a big gun" he said, to which the Wall rolled his eyes. "But we need to bring Blowfish down first, sweetums...."
  21. Ronin is going to have a look to see if the cameras reveal anything, but then move to disable them and if possible scrub the drives (the priority being the first). Ideally he would like to loop the cameras so they feed unremarkable blankness, and make sure his tampering is not detectable. As he is in a rush, rolling. Im not sure which skills you want so rolling all three! Craft Electronics: 1d20+11 20 Computers: 1d20+7 24 and taking 10 on disable device (skill mastery) for a 25 result. Nice stuff!
  22. Ronin Darkness...useful. And Ronin was no stranger to darkness. He carefully picked his way through the darkness and up the single guard. Slowly, slowly...but not too slowly. Who knew what the guard might do? With feather feet, almost silent, he crept upbehind the guard, and unhurriedly reached out. In another silent moment, he snatched the guard back with a crushing rear naked choke, and held it in his iron grip for a few seconds as the guard silently scrabbled around and sunk into unconsciousness. Gently he lay the guard down and patted him on his cheek. "Sorry sunshine, you need to sleep this one out...." He turned his attention to the security camera readouts, seeing if any useful information could be gleaned. But only for a moment - he had every intention of disabling them...
  23. Lament The claws sank in deeper this time, and the black blood of the void and Luther entiwined oozed out at a glacial pace. Lament could feel his lungs punctured this time, and a sucking sound accompanied a deflating chest. He sagged like a wrinkled balloon, and tried to force air back into his body. "Who needs organs anyway?" he muttered to himself in his head, although the second of dizziness that accompanied the sensation may have meant he mumbled it aloud. "It tickles!" he bluffed.
