GM "Yer trying to expoje Blowfisjh?" mumbled Amber, almost letting a glint of hope in her eye for a second. "No...no...." he added, looking away as fear kicked in. "You dont know what he can do...." she shook her head. "He'll kill you. And do worsh to me if I open my big mouth. Only shinging he wantsh me doing izsh on the shtage!" she said, and to drum home her point she took another swig of whiskey. It was a miracle she was still upright, let along singing. And a few more months her skin would probably turn the colour of a banana from liver failure. "What maksh you think you can fight Blowfish anyhow?" she said, interested, again letting that spark of hope illuminate. "Hesh got more gunsh and tough guysh than I can count!"

GM "Earth....probably" mumbled Lulu. "I want to go home!" screamed Norbert Body, the ASTRO scientist (whose red shirt stuck out rather glaringly in the green jungle). "We just need some more Nihilus energy, and I am sure we can effect another jump!" replied Professor Ether, looking greedily at Delta. "Just give me a good laboratory and I am sure I can fix my hopper!" said Zip, proudly. "Except we appear to be an alternative reality where mankind has not evolved past the stone age" Screams and whoops came from the trees. And spears were pointed in their direction. "...which makes a laboratory unlikely. Give the word and Ill try another jump. No idea where will end up though. The dimensional mapper has burnt out" explained Zip. "However bad shape we are in, imagine hopping into a reality with only two dimensions, or one where everything is one million degrees centigrade...."

Lament Lament listened to the click clack of coins, feeling like someone was running a horn slowly down his spine. Click Click Click Clack... He tried to time his footsteps with the regular beat of the coins, all the time feeling deeply unnerved. I really hope she doesn't turn around. She might be a thief, but she looks like a theif who deeply despises thieves! He didn't know who or what the Raven was, but he would rather take his chances with a bird than the witch. And so he followed the directions carefully. And whist he did, he forced the hungry void to his skin, turning him into a shadow, a blur, an echo...

GM "Ssure honey, I'm schwell!" she drawled. But Robin could see her hold her head in her hands and tears smudging her make up. "How did I get here?" she asked, voice cracking. "Blowfish...he's a sweetheart, really....well...he's sweet on me!" she said, half succeeding in pulling herself together, but her eye makeup was now a mess. "Thinks I'm damaged goods, I sshupose" she whispered, again locked in melancholia. "Probably I am...but he used to be sweet on me, made shure I got this job after Mexico...made shure I....keep my mouth shut...." She leaned forward to the mystery voice. "You be careful of him, y'hear? He's bad news! If you knew what I knew...." she said with a violent shudder....

Lament What a ghastly tune! Disgusting! All sorts of scenarios flitted through his mind. Was she a dragon? a troll? a witch? in any case, she was clearly a collector. And probably a woman. Which meant that she was quite likely to be the thief! Perhaps the Elven Kings tears would be amongst all that exotic treasure. He was interrupted from his train of thought be spotting a raven. It looked like the raven outside, but he could not be sure. To his mammalian eye, all ravens looked pretty much the same. And with a wing, lo, it was pointing! Well now, there was a strange thing! But he was not one to turn down strange fortune (be it ill or good), so he turned to the alcove that the Raven was pointing to and verily did proceed forthwith!

GM With Venomax and the Dust Devil out safely, they could see the building collapse in on itself. Their seemed to be a putrid yellow stench in the area, almost sickly sweet, and despite the opressive humidity and heat, there was an unnatural chill. There was nothing but rubble left, and the Jungle was silent and still. Locating any of the leafs under the rubble was no easy task, but some of the magical plant could still be seen. Venomax could spray pesticides and corrosive materials, and all manner of interesting chemicals to prevent anything growing, and the Dust Devil could shift the rubble well enough to reach most places...

A Hero Point for a bit of narrative fiating with that dimensional explosion! Also, can you roll me a DC 15 Fort Save vs a Drain Toughness 5 Effect.

GM Professor Ether was surprisingly light, and was easily hoisted away. He didn't seem to resist, in fact. Ms. Wells backed off. "It's the Professors experiment, not mine!" she said, both frightened and defiant at the same time. "He's one of the smartest men I know, even if he is a little..." "A little what?" replied Ether, clinging to Delta's arm. "A little odd?" "A little cruel!" said Wells, boldlly. "Ill show you just how clever, odd, and cruel I can be then!" laughed Ether, and from his body started to burn with vapourous blue flame. "Uh oh..." mumbled Zip, who stood his ground. "This isn't so good..." The Brit Machine responded by a big fizz...and sparks flew.... In response, Ether's burning blue flames exploded around the room, and... Zoooom! It happened again. Now, they were in a primordial hot steaming jungle, with wooden huts and speared primitives all around them. Ether, Zip, Lulu, Delta and the man from ASTO labs who had been laboriously dragged through the dimensions with them. And in the middle, the smoking, damaged Brit Machine. "I knew it would work on Nihilus Energy!" said Ether, most pleased with himself.

GM And so... Despite the wet climate, the grey skies, the drizzle in the air, it was a pleasant enough walk through green fertile hills complete with sheep. It was at least not too cold (although Dreadnough would hardly have felt the most bitter climate). It took less than half an hour to get there, and the directions were easy enough to follow. There it was, a ruined church ontop a hill. It felt a little chilly up here. Perhaps it was the light winter wind, perhaps...perhaps it was something else more ancient and primal. Dreadnough could remember the ancient gods of ice and fire that danced in these hills, and perhaps this was their distant echo. For the most part the Church was intact. A door, a roof, most of the walls. One could guess it had been half repaired as the Revd had told them, but the repairs had not been completed. It was still a fragile thing, with rotten wood and plenty of whistling holes in its cracked walls. Somehow, a bell tower was still active, as was the bell, although it looked like it might fall at any moment. There was a feeling of something ancient and spooky here that crept into the heart and spine. Perhaps it was the stories and the view. Perhaps it was something more...

Lets see what that voice is saying / who it belongs to! Extended 1 (X10 range) auditory hearing! and a notice roll, mayhap? Notice: 1d20+15 32 should give some pretty advanced warning of what it is?

Snakebite It was a good point. The beast might be a distraction. The man, the woman? Was this herself and Neil. The cards seemed to be telling a bad story for Neil...if only I could see the future rather than the past! Then again, would I really want to? The male voice...chanting? Someone was trying to do the ceremony? She took the hunch and pulled out her Tranq-pistol. "<Isa....lets lead it away from the village. Its after me, I think. And in any case, I think we have this all wrong. The beast is trying to distract us from the real threat...>" It didn't look good, running, but thise was a dire time, and no road was without risk. Therefore, she ran, full speed, towards the chanting voice...she could hear much further than normal humans, and maybe she could make out the voice....

GM And so, later... Detective Wu drove Sonny, the Scarab, Tsunami and Frost through Hong Kong as the sun descended to a low lazy level. He knew the streets well, but Sonny knew them better and pointed out little titbits of information as they drove. To Warehouse 33 It was by the docks, and little changed from the previous interchange between Frost, Voin, Dreadnought and the Hornet some months ago. The damage had been repaired (Dreadnought was a mighty beasty capable of damaging buildings just by being in the vicinty). However, on closer examination, the security was much tighter. Four guards stood outside, dressed in cool suits, sunglasses, and bulging armpits indicating guns underneath. The warehouse had some reinforcements, more security camera's, and better locks. Detective Wu grunted. "I do not have a warrant to enter this place. But, given what you have said, I might be looking the other way if anything happens" he said. "I when I say I might be, you can bet that I will be..."

GM "Klara...yes" replied the Revrd, giving a small efficient nod of his head with vague suggestions of a bow. "I'm not a historian" he conceded, aplogetically. "The local library may have more information on it, I suppose. Its been in a state of Ruin for as long as I have been here, and I have been here all my life. I understand there was some attempt at restoration in the 19th Century but it was called off. The rumour mill of the time talked of superstition, ghosts, evil malign forces, Satan himself, I would imagine" he said, with a dismissive wave of his hand. "Its not in fantastic shape, but its a roof, and has a certain sanctuary, of sorts. Morgen seems quite immune to cold and chills, even snow. I...ah....had to work quite hard to get her to wear clothes" he said, blushing. "Its a ghost church, you might say. Haunted. And as you may have guessed, a lot of the townsfolk right now claim to be seeing ghosts, feeling that same malign presence, and so on. I have had many requests for blessings and exorcisms..." he sighed, shaking his head. "But I can't do anything for mass panic other than tea and sympathy, I am afraid. And you are most welcome to both!" he smiled. "I'm not sure if the presence of you two...ah....tall folk will throw more fuel to the fire of panic, or smother it, to be honest. Tell me, what is your intent here?"

GM Ms. Wells went red. "Ah...well...." The agent from the ministry of extraordinary affairs stepped. "Nihilus energy? What do you mean?" he demanded. "I am afraid that this gentleman is somewhat lacking in the refined skills of science" interjected Professor Ether. "Hired, methinks, more for his knuckles than his head!" he laughed alone at his poor excuse for a joke. "I'm blocking the pipes* on this!" seethed the agent, lurching forward. In a moment, Professor Ether was up, and gave the agent a mighty shove, forcing him to the floor. "No SIR, you will not!" he screamed...and reached towards the Brit Machine!.... *An Earth Victoriana Expression akin to "Pulling the plug"

Lament Bold as he was - or at least, pretended to be - there was a time to put the bombastic approach to bed (tempting as it might be!) Lament took off his seven league boots once more. He did not fancy smashing his skull open on the cave roof. And his barefeet were more quiet. Before he announced himself (and announce himself he surely would), he fancied watching and listening - at least for a moment. What exactly was this lady doing? And what tune was she singing?

GM "Whhhhrrr?" mumbled Amber, in the middle of untangling her hair with limited efficacy. It was close run thing between her being to sleepy to do anything but mutter, and to disinhibited to do anything but shout. So far, however, it looked like Justice's luck was holding. "Of course....darling..." she muttered again, doing her make up with clumsy hands. "I love to meet fanssss. But no funny stuff. Unless you are paying for kisses!" Her eyes clearly showed dolls eye movement. "Ill putsch my best lipstchtick on for that hehe hehe!" she giggled, and hiccuped. "I like a bit of exshitement. Mysterious voice in the shadows!" she smiled.

GM Delta scanned the Brit Machine - or more precisely, its corpse. It was a work of art, really, even in its rather chaotic state. Understanding a new dimensions very strange physics was extremely hard, but from what Delta could tell, it was indeed a dimensional transport. Inoperable now, in that it could not directly transport itself. However, it seemed perfectly capabale of projecting matter or energy into new dimensions and it might well be able to shove Delta and comrades into a new one. "Beats me" sighed Lulu. "This isn't regular science" "Primitive! Steam power! I told you this was a silly dimension!" said Zip. One rather worrisome feature of the Brit Machine. It seemed hooked up to the Terminus. It was alive with Nihilus energy!
