Starshot "The Star Knights wont help us now" said Starshot. Even the Xeno couldn't send hyperspace comms this far from the galactic hub. "It was a long shot, but nothing to be lost by asking. As you say, Phalen gave us a little bit more information. I...don't know what to do with him. He makes my teeth grind. No backbone. But I have seen soldiers in similar shape, even if it was many years ago" he conceded. He scratched his chin and his scar. "What do you think we should do with him? I am half minded to let him go back to the caves he loves so much. I am not sure what is more cruel - to send him back, or to keep him here..."

Lament Lament caught her claws with his hands just as the nails sank into his flesh. There was the slow ooze of black blood, but they had only really scratched him. His skin was tough, and what was underneath was even tougher. He was not even sure he really needed blood any more. "That is quite true" he said, looking meek. "Yes, now you mention it. You are something and I...I am nothing. Quite pathetic really..." he mumbled, head down. And then he took his hands away and slapped them infront of her face, the oily blackiness in his skin flowing from his palms and into her ugly mug. "But the difference, darling, is I am not little. I am a giant nothing! I am magnificent!!!"

Echohead Echohead took long, slow, deep breaths. This was space. It was very big. And full of space. And outside this vessel, his lungs would explode and his eyeballs spontaneously ennucleate and nitrogen would form clots in his blood supply causing brain death whilst inflicting crippling agony. "Excellent. I am enjoying myself tremendously and qui-qui-qui-q-q-q-quite calm" he said through gritted teeth. "I am in control and I am imagining a pleasant panoramic view of my special safe place..." He was wearing sunglasses. Because he did. And was glad, because nobody could see his eyes were clamped shut. "Are we there yet?"

Tough Save: 1d20+12 31 Good golly whats her PL! (Also, you may be forgetting fatigue penalty on attack rolls?) Well, if she is immune, back to fatigue! Move action: Feint Feint: 1d20+14 16 not good, but a small chance of success I guess. Fatigue attack: 1d20+10 27 I really hope that hits, and would be a DC 25 Fort Save vs fatigue.

GM The Justice kick found its mark once more, and sent the man flying down the alley, joining his friend in a heaped mess of unconscious limbs. He gave a little jerk as his body tried to maintain the fight despite his brain snoozing. "Well...shucks...you are a superhero!" proclaimed Amber, eyes wide, sobering up slightly. "More than just a mask! Hell, you might even pull this off!" She staggered over to the two men in a heap and started giving them a good kicking. "Take that! And that! And that, just for good measure!....as goddamn...." she gasped as her shoe heel broke and she staggered off to slump against a wall.

Lament "The Void says I am!" replied Lament, more confidently. "And so do I!" He jumped in shock as the mother slammer her dark fist to the ground. It was a fortunate jump, for the spell tickled his feet rather than his whole body. More than a tickle, too, he could feel the crunching power and it stung. But his flesh was no mortal any more. The void lived in every cell. He backed off now, not wishing to get caught in those fists. With an effort of will, he drew the void into his body, making him appear whole again. And then, as he had with the troll, he exhaled hard. The oily blackness of the Void filled the air....

Reflex Save: 1d20+10 22 just made the reflex save. Tough Save: 1d20+12 22 and just made the toughness save! Standard action: Breathe out a suffocation cloud. Lets see how she likes that! Which does mean switching the void array to Void inside, gaining suffocation immunity. The cloud effect is area suffocate 5 As a move action he will back off, out of melee range, say 20 feet.

Snakebite Cassie felt herself stagger back, her nose broken and blood on her lips. She had walked into that jab, and the follow up. She barely felt the hook. "A silver spoon and every curse in England" she said, defiantly. "As if you would understand that. Even before I was snakebite, I had hauled myself through Jungles and desert and books...." she grunted. She felt as if she was going to spit out a tooth. She wondered if she was going to grow snake teeth as a replacement. "You...don't sound exactly normal yourself, Neil. It's not me being the hypocrit. Its you..."

Tough Save: 1d20+5 12 Ill think ill spend an HP to reroll that, its dangerously low! Tough Save Reroll: 1d10+15 17 barely any better. Dazed and another bruise. ill post the reaction.

He cant make that, so he is down! Technically thats 0 HP but I will waive that as Justice was being heroic. Justice - 1 HP

Lament Lament felt a little bit of confidence seep back into his ego. See? Even mythological demi gods can fall! He wasn't there yet, but at least he felt he could steer the Void a little. "You see, I am not so bold as to come here without power" he explained to the mother. "I am armed with more than just words!" He moved out of the way of her flailing, and summoned the void into his fist, lunging forward. If it worked once, it could work again. But she was not some helpless old crone, either. She could see what he was up to, and she was not unprepared for his attack...

The Joy of Fatigue. Wait...lets try that again! Feint as move: 1d20+14 15 well the feint may not work! (incidentally, uncanny dodge does not work against feints, only surprise) And a Fatigue attack Fatigue attack: 1d20+10 13 even with her fatigue defence penalty, I suspect that will miss!

Thanks

as per chat, moving to the next round. as I am in a capoeira mood, doing the same! Acrobatic Bluff: 1d20+9 21 an almost identical feint. And again shifting +2 power, +2 Defence, -4 attack Kick: 1d20+8 13 Thats a miss I am pretty sure! Still, at least she has +14 Defence when he rallies!

If its ok with you EP, spending a hero point to get triggered 1 feat on Rev's boost. Fluffing that to say that Sofia and Rev rig an emergency pull cord to the drivers seat that if activated gets the Boost 4 effect (increasing Speed to Rank whatever). Of course, may want to use the complication Rev has of accidentally overdriving / damaging the engine when its activated, depending on drama! That is, if Sofia agrees of course!
-
Rev "Peiceacake!" said Rev, happily, picking up the panels with ease. Despite her strength she was not clumsy. At least, not usually. "Don't worry, I wont drop it. Or rip anything in half" she assured Sofia. "Just dont put me near a magnetic field, it gives me bad vibrations" she explained. "And probably best if you don't give me an electric shock either..." she added for good measure. She looked at the engine carefully. She knew her way round any motor very well. "Look, I don't want to mess up your gear here. But..." she said, cautiously. "If you want, we can rig it for speed. I can use my cybernetics to give it a real boost. Like an emergency cord" she said. "I'm not saying we cheat, but if Dom is really painting a target on his back, and needs to get out quickly, he might need the boost...."

GM Her aim was true, and the blast of kinetic energy slammed into the thug, sending him flying down the alley and collapsing in a heap. The other thug looked at the blast and doubt now crept into his face. Blowfish kept tight discipline, for sure, and these thugs were a cut above the normal street brawlers. But only just. And courage - or the illusion of courage - only went so far. But perhaps it was just far enough. He gave a roar of desperation, and from his hand extended a retractable stick. So armed, he broke into a charge, screaming something to keep himself going, and brough the stick around heavy and fast. Fast as Justice was, she wasn't quite fast enough to dodge...
-
That hits! Tough Save: 1d20+2 11 and he is down! The other thug pulls a cosh and charges! Charges Justice: 1d20+6 23 clonk! Thats a DC 18 Toughness Save!

Lament Luther felt, right now, that he only had one hand on the wheel. And no feet on the brakes. The Void could be overwhelming sometimes, and when the Mother had peeled back his psyche, he was not in the best place to guide it. And perhaps now, when it came down to it, he didn't need to. His eyes darkened, and so did his skin. He was faint, now, like an oily black mist, hard to see. He jutted forward, hands raised high and dramatic in a sharp motion, like a vampire about to strike. And yet, he put forward a foot, low and fast, intent on touching the Mother on her legs. It was not force he was after, just contact - for the Void fed not only on joy, but, when hungry and cruel, the very energy of the flesh!

Free action: Activate Void Betwixt' power, giving him partial concealment to all senses. Everything helps (including that miss chance!) Move action: Feint at -5 penalty: Feint: 1d20+14 22 Standard action: Attack unshifted with Void skin array activated (the partial aura fatigue power) Fatigue attack: 1d20+10 21 which, if it hits, is a DC 20 Fort Save vs Fatigue power.

Snakebite Girl? That was a bit low, even for Neil, who clearly had no problems sinking his standards. Cassie fell back into a relaxed Ginga manuever, crouching low. "Your stronger than you look Neil. Faster, too. Did the Foundry do some work on you?" she asked. "Maybe you arent so clean as you think" She moved in the same relaxed posture. "But I don't think you will be strong enough. And I dont think you will be fast enough. Even if you do know judo..." She moved close, twisted to one side in a graceful feint and turned into a Escorpiao, the scorpion kick, which slammed effectively into his face. She span away fluidly and this time went for a follow up straight kick to the chest. Well timed, well executed, and powerful, but Neil had staggered a few steps back from the first blow, and now fortune favoured him, for Cassie's well timed attack was too short...

Move action: Acrobatic Bluff at -5: Acrobatic Bluff: 1d20+9 22 Standard Action: Power and defence shifted attacl (+2 Defence, +2 DC, -4 Attack), Attack N: 1d20+8 16 which I guess might hit if the acrobatic bluff feint works!
-
Both! Initiative: Initiative: 1d20+6 19

Lament Yes, unfortunately Luther was mortal. And he felt it, with the armour of delusion cracking and peeling from his ego. True he housed an immortal psychic parasite of unknown power. But that was the Void. He was just flesh bones and blood. And would die. He felt himself diminish, shrink. And the hungry Void took over... There was a reason the Void had chosen Luther. Luther had an ego big enough to contain it, and feed it with the joy he brought. And now it was hungry, and mindless, and uncontained. And ready to lash out!

Starshot The Red Devils were the pirates then. A point Starshot had assumed, but was glad to have confirmed. But here was something new. The Red Devil, who was presumably their leader. And some history to go with it. Interesting- possibly academic - but interesting all the same. What had beeen an embryonic trading agreement seemed to have been taken over by a parasitic pirate one. And the first peoples - the traders - had taught the Kurabnda. Starshot turned to Ermorada. "Are there any of these first peoples left? Maybe they can help. If not with weapons, then with information....?"
