Lets try an illusion! A mound of dead trolls ahead!
-
GM The ground beneath the robot splintered and sundered, just as Delta had planned. It might have been as physically strong as Delta, but its speed of body was not. And when it came to a match of wits and cunning, there was no contest at all. It fell down the crack, squarking and smoking as it did, tumbling down the crevise getting bent and broken with every crunching collision. "Help! Help!" It was a quite different type of voice, coming from inside the robot. "Get me out of here!" The robot was clearly out of action. A few lights and sparks indicated it still had some kind of power, but the fact that its head was twenty feet from its body was just one clue that it posed no further threat. It had lodges itself some thirty feet down the crevise, quite bent out of shape. And yet there was a voice coming from inside!
-
GM The Robot staggered back, this time fizzing. A giant livid scar of glowing metal seared over its plating, testament to the power of Delta. A few sparks flew from its chest. "K-K-KILL HUMAMAMAMAMAMAN!" he squarked. Something had clearly glitched in its most limited vocal circuits. But its weapon systems seem online. It pointed both arms at Delta again, and this time, it protruded two nozzles. Whooomf! In an instant, a massive line of fire ejected from its hands. Flamethrowers! This time, the rock glowed and cracked, but stayed frim. However, it did not provide Delta with much protection, for the fire curled around the bolder and smoldered most fiercely!
-
The Robot will unleash a flamethrower at Delta! Thats an Area [Line], Damage 6 Effect. So Reflex DC 16 will half the effect to Damage 3, and Cover gives him +2 to that Reflex throw. Then a DC 21 (or 18 if you make the reflex save) toughness save.
-
Bingo. Thats a pretty massive score, so have free reign; you can blast the ground beneath the robot to trap him in a crevasse, or anything else you feel is appropriate!
-
Tough Save 2: 1d20+9 27 its doing extremely well, but another injury all the same!
-
Meaning Delta is up again!
-
GM It seemed the Nihilus energy worked just as well in this not-dimension as any other. The blast hit the robot square on, and forced it back a step. Its chest was smoldering; an acrid stench and black smoke. Yet still it did not drop. "HUMAN DETECTED! KILL!" it said it a monotone squark . It was not fast, and it clearly had only the most basic programming. It was built for resilience and power, and - as far as Delta could see - nothing else. It raised its fists, and let loose two blaster bolts on Delta... It was built for power, not intelligence. It made no tactical decision., It simply sensed and blasted. And in this case, the blaster beams hit the rock that Delta had wisely hid behind. The rocks melted under the beams, crumbling into fragments and dust.

Robot is doing well: Blaster Beams: 1d20+4 21 However, since you have cover, that missed. Instead, it disintergates your cover!
-
Thats a clear hit, and by my counts a DC 28 Save. Tough Save: 1d20+10 26 Its slow but tough! Even so, it grabs an injury. Its defence is +4/14

Move action to move, but more pertinently, letting the Void feast on the Troll which might even slow the thing down. Its perception range so automatic hit, and DC 20 Will Save (Emotion: Despair)
-
Lament A troll! Well, this is Scandinavia. Probably....actually where am I now? He had a fleeting wish that it was Valhalla. Wait...what was happening? A race? Not again! Well, he had no sympathy for the troll. It seemed a most brutish and cunning beast, quite spiteful. Wicked, even. And it had smiled. Well the Void was hungry, and this troll fellow seemed a suitable feast. He started after the Troll, but whilst he raced, he focussed the mindless Void and let it rip out through the fog, trying to feast on what limited joy the evil thing had...

GM "What, arrest?" said a surprised Kidd, fingering his shotgun. "We got the jump on them, you want to lose that? Go and arrest them?" he sounded almost shocked. He gave a winning smile (or at least, in his mind, it was a winning smile). A little cunning crept through his skull. "No. No I don'tthink they will just stop if I arrest them. I think they will open fire with their guns, and the Wall will pound our heads together like two watermelons dancing a waltz" he said, trying, as emphatically as possible, to indicate that Justics and Kidd would soon be sharing their minds. By which he meant, sharing their pulverised brains in the shattered and combined remains of their skulls. At least once the Wall had got hold of them. "So if you want to use an Arrest-o-beam on them, go right ahead. But to me, it looks like we got a terrorist attack on our hands!"

GM The Serpentine sorcerer staggered as the poison hit him. He even stumbled, but by force of will he stood straight. "Poison? You would use poison on me?" he hissed, half incredulous, half amused. "I have spent centuries working with the most poisonous creatures ever to walk this earth, or ever will. I can command them to follow my will. They are my slaves and servents. I have built up quite a .... resilience to toxins" he said, fully straight now. "You are a fool to come at me with such weapons. Ha! You may aswell have taken a spear from those trembling Lemurian hands behind you!" And the three Lemurian riders were indeed scared. And tremulous. But their spears, even trembling, still pointed at Setho's heart. "You do not understand the tunnels and twists of the Mesa. Not like I do!" he declared. "But come then, this tangle of fates will not be undone by words, but by spears and spells!" And a spell it was! He thrust out his hand, and a crooked blast of green eldritch energy slammed into the Dust Devil!
-
Sorry for delay - so I understand thats a poisonous effect, to which Setho has half immunity (thanks to years working with poisonous creatures). It certainly hits, but its DC is halved to 15. Fort Save: 1d20+6 16 and he makes it. So given this is all getting combat shaped, time for some Init Rolls! Initiative: 1d20+9 20 for Setho Init: 1d20+4 17 for the Lemurians And just reposting their stats...(mainly for my convenience!)

Lament Lo, some beast from yonder! came the thought. And, Luther being Luther, it was a suitably dramatic thought which meant that he could do nothing but pronounce it...who knows what audience of Gods or Men might be watching, aftert all? "Lo! Some beast from Yonder!" he called out in a fully Shakespearian voice, turning to face the shape. "Be ye friend, or be ye foe? Or be ye just passing?" he inquired. He had no idea if the thing could speak English or not. Or if it could even speak. But, one had to start somewhere. Of course, his heart still bounded and he felt the adrenaline around his intestines, but one simply could not show fear!
-
GM "Filthy damn Mexicans, speaking Mexican" muttered Kidd, straining to hear. He didn't speak Spanish, not really, but he knew a few words, as did Justice. Something about revenge or violence or smashing. This was punctuated with small cheers, raised weapons, and clenched fists. One could only imagine they were agitating for violence. And "Blowfish". Seemed his name was the same in Spanish and English. And his name was accompanied by frowns and hisses. Clearly, he was a most unpopular man. And then, the Wall brought out a box. And from the box, he brought out a stick of dynamite. This seemed to make everyone happy again.

Complete failure now and again is fine too!

There are plenty of rocks around, and plenty of cover you can take. Other than that its a fairly featureless landscape! If you make a clever Knowledge [Earth Sciences] roll of DC 20 Ill allow you to spot something unstable which could use (such as a crevasse that could open up with the right impact).
-
Ill suggest: Feats: Environmental Adapation Zero Gravity [1 PP] Skills: Craft [Electronic] 4 +7 Knowledge [Physical Sciences] 4 (+7) Pilot 8 (+9)

GM "English....? What are we, in England?" hissed Kidd. "Hoity toity yer madjesty would you like a cup of tea Guv'nor oh I do declare?" he added, mimicing dripping an efete drinking of a cup of tea complete with little finger extended. "We are in America, we are speaking American" he said, firmly, quite clear about his internal logic. He nodded towards the Big Guy. "I never met the Wall, but I heard he's a big fellow and wears a mask. This guys looks the fit..." He was certainly the leader of the five men, and he certainly fitted the bill. He even looked like a Wall. Kidd fingered the shotgun. He had an itchy finger, no doubt, but he hesitated. He wasn't a confident as he had been, not down here. "Guys not armed...." he muttered. "Got fists like sledgehammers...." This seemed to make him even more nervous. He clearly had no fear of getting shot. But it looked like the Wall could pulverise him in a few seconds with his arms.

Lament Oh I'll beware all right! This gig is crazier than a bucket of frogs in the Texan sun! Nevertheless, he was rather proud that he had her approval. Ah! The artists toil is not for nought! Wait...."will do"? Hph! Of course I will do...nay...more than do....Excel! "I will be awesome, good lady, for it is my nature to be so, and I must be true to my nature!" he declared, giving another deep bow and wishing he still had his top hat. Not for the first time this evening, and, nay, not for the last he imagined. He would just have to make sure his bows were deeper and more magmanimous than ever! (and yet, was that possible?) With a spin, he started off towards the ghost lights and the path they revealed!

Sgt Shark Twenty feet was nothing for Sgt Shark. He could probably jump out onto concrete without much difficulty. He did not much ponder on the voice - he had his orders, and the mission seemed clear enough. And justified enough. For all his military reflexes, he did not follow anybody unquestioningly. Stopping a devastating Tsunami was unquestionably justified. By any means necessary. He felt his teeth and claws tingle at the thought. "Go!" He dived into the water elegantly, and started swimming straight down....
