  1. GM Takeshi stopped and pondered. "Well...I confess I hadn't. Thats the problem with my background in conventional security. We don't, for the most part, think about minature shrunken thieves! Drones, yes. But people...no..." He thought about it a moment. "I think I'll have to go over the schematics again. With your permission, Doctor North?" he asked. "Of course, of course..." replied North. "Don't mind us, we'll just go to the Communications array. Its where we beam to our satellite!" he said, proudly. He left Takeshi poring over the table-display, studying it intensly. With a prideful step, he took Doctor Deoxy to a very tall radio dish tower at the side of the complex, by the lapping sea. "Behold! And...its rather a nice day to behold too!" The aluminium and steel tower was rather nice to behold, and the sun had parted the clouds, shining brightly!
  2. Echohead "Thuh-thuh-th-th-th-thuh armbands!" spluttered Echohead. Inside his head, he felt the whirrings and musings of the brain he had copied. It was all rather disorientating, and he could sense the copied personality - which sensed the danger - start to bubble up into his own psyche. "The armbands! Of those two! Throw them into the vortex!" he said, more clearly, with a slightly different accent, tinged with a crystal clear anxiety. He pointed frantically at the two aliens who they had fought. "That should cause a hyperdimensional lens loop!...I mean...that should shut it down!"
  3. 1. Seems appropriate
  4. GM "No, we do not" replied Takeshi, raising an almost suspicious eyebrow at the ramblings. He was polite, irrespective of his suspiciousness (which really went with his job, one might suppose). He ushered North and Doctor Deoxy into the constructed part of the base. The computer banks, which were as state of the art as one could imagine. Only about a tenth were actually active, as the cooling system was not yet fully operational. Rows of black monoliths with blinking lights. "I'm not really a computer expert" started Takeshi. But here is where we keep all the important...and sensitive data. He pointed out the burner systems. "I don't really understand the engineering here. But I am assured they are fully functional. Unfortunately...not something we can test!" he gave a polite chuckle, and North followed suit. "There..." he pointed at a table that was on big computer screen, complete with touch sensitivity. "...we have our blueprints for the base. Not even I am allowed to take the data out!" he said, almost complaining. "Every drive here is tagged with a sensor that activates when it leaves the base. You see, we have a pretty tight security system already!" "Thank goodness!" said North.
  5. GM The two walked down to the embryonic EAST building, noting this feature and that. It was not particularly large, but it was well built and advanced. Several precautions had been made to contain any leak. Concrete bunkers, reinforced walls. Airtight doors were sealable. But, as North had said, they had only just passed the halfway mark. "Let me introduce you to someone. Taro Takeshi, our security advisor". Taro Takeshi was a man of remarkably average build, who looked and sounded quite as Japanese as his name implied. He gave a friendly smile and shook Doctor Deoxies hand. Taro looked about fourty, and had a pleasant face, with a noticeable scar on his chin. "Taro has an impressive resume in the Japanese Military Intelligence, and as a civil security expert" explained North. Taro gave a humble smile. "I try" he said, simply. "It's not exactly easy. Why, only yesterday we had the entire schematics of the more...ah....sensitive areas drawn up and sent here for the engineers to build. We don't want any loopholes. The schematics themselves are a secret we don't want to get out". He explained. "Ah...apologies Director North...I don't think Doctor Deoxy has full clearance?" "Yes...yes...quite right. I apologise, Doctor Deoxy. Some things we can't show you..."
  6. GM "Yes indeed. We back up our data to a satellite passing overhead every 70 hours. The satellite is also equipped with the same burner. True, we could have a dual attack. But nothing is fool proof, and like I said, few would take the risk to attack us for little reward". "There are of course other offices around the world. Like by ASTRO labs. Some data is stored there. We live in an age where information is the true currency. And we are a bank. No bank is completely safe" he sighed. "I am not sure what enemies would want to hamper us, to bring back to that point" he mused. "Steal from us, most certainly. But hamper? I suppose it is possible, if some organisation was engaging in very dangerous research and wanted to stop us. Unlikely, yes, but possible..."
  7. GM "Incognito" replied North. "I have no doubt that the dedicated individual, or organisation, can find us out. We are not top secret, far from it. But we have enough basic fog on our location to keep away the masses" he explained. "As for the tourist interests, the United Nations are paying the islanders a very big dividend. Nobody really wants us on their soil. But this island is so remote it suits our needs. With a bit of diplomatic wrangling, a lot of reassurance, and a healthy payment, they accepted" "This is officially United Nations soil" he said, stamping his foot on their plot of land. "The major issue we are considering now is, as you suggested, defence. We obviously arent going to keep out a concerted attack, but we want some safety measures in place. One thing we are doing is having a central burner. Come any intrusion, our research and computers are burnt out, and we burn any chambers containing hazardous material. In other words, nobody is going to want to attack us, as they won't get anything. Bar our recordings of the attack sent to the United Nations who will prioritise counter measures..." He looked sour. "Bah! War. What is it good for?"
  8. Using feature: Cybernetic Hand acts as medical kit, taking 10 on medicine (has skill mastery) for a 16 result which should give diagnosis. If needed, taking 10 in a similar fashion for treatment / stabilisation.
  9. Starshot He may be a pirate, but no man should die alone in the sand... Starshot slung his blaster rifle over his back and advanced towards the man. He was not reckless, but neither was he cautious. And he was no doctor. But he ran a space safari business, he knew the basics of medical care. He started examining the man, checking his vitals and looking for injuries. His cybernetic hand, full of useful tools, micro jets, drills and clippers, also contained some medical sensors and even basic drugs complete with injector.
  10. For your consideration Rev for Racin Red Rat for Shadowrunnin Echohead for Assination Stoppage For you irrespective Bravo for GMing.
  11. GM "That is a fair point" nodded North. He stroked his moustache, considering the future. "I wonder if I could ask you something..." One month Later....Rapa Nui.... Bang on cue, as per the invitation, Dr Deoxy stepped through his portal onto Rapa Nui. The coordinates had been quite perfectly precise. It was a pleasantish, if slightly overcast day, with a cool breeze easing through the grass. The sound of the sea could be heard far away. Not far away, out of sight, the famous stone heads lay. But this is not a story of the past, but of the future. EAST was halfway built. Concrete, steel for the most part, but with some areas almost complete. Waiting for Doctor Deoxy was Norris North, dressed almost as they had last met, but with a hard hat on. He offered one to Doctor Deoxy. "I doubt you need one, but health and safety etcetera etcetera" he sighed. "Thank you so much for coming. I thought your insight into the base would be invaluable. We are about half way built, so not a lot of room for leeway, but any ideas you have, the better!"
  12. GM "I graciously accept your judgement" bowed Dr. Sin. "Except...I believe I would be under the death penalty in the United States, would I not?" he asked, a smile on his face. "Which is forbidden under the Codus Immortus" His grin grew more and more sly. "So, what will you do? Turn me in for execution to the United States? Holland or your own England would prohibit such a punishment, of course" he said, softly. "As for me, I didn't harbour anyone!" protested the Duke. "I didn't know he was a criminal? We just had tea and did some experiments together!" he explained. "Hmph! Well, I am sure you can arrest me on suspicion of blah blah this or blah blah that, but I am certain I will not be found guilty! I know my rights! Why, I once even studied law! For four months in Brussels. Before I got bored. My, what a tedious experience!" he yawned.
  13. GM "<What? What? What are you talking about?>" snapped back Farouk, almost stunned by the impertinence of the interruption. "<YOU! Don't move!>" he shouted at Misi, and nodded to two friends. "<You! And You! Don't let my snivelling cousin get anywhere!>" Misi did not move, but the two strong men did, moving to either side of the scientist and gripping him tightly. Meanwhile, Farouk marched up to the Scarab. "<You are just trying to protect him! Pfah! Western Superheroes! I spit on them! They would not come here!>" he retorted, confidently. "<So who are you? And why are you trying to protect this wet prune of a man?" he demanded. He took a moment to consider. This was Egypt. A muslim country, but not one that was infused with the Wahabi movement. Hijabs were worn, but not often, and not insisted upon. And the market of Cairo was one of the more liberal parts of the country. A demand such as this, he reasoned, was a necessary risk. "<Show me your face!>" he demanded.
  14. Sense Motive: 1d20+4 14 oh dear! And I was going to give a +2 Bonus to Bluff for the dress!

GM The door opened. Well, it would be more accurate to say it creaked open, so rotting it was that it almost fell apart whilst doing so. A few puffs of dust from agitated lichen and mold filled the air. Greenfingers, it turned out, was rather handsome. A striking face with striking cheekbones. She was rather unkempt, too. Wild jet black hair, deep brown eyes. Green painted fingernails. Her skin, however, was reassuringly olive. Her clothes were green spandex, as one might imagine a scientist in protective gear might make. "Yes, yes! What do you want? I'm busy!" she muttered, her voice harsh and raspy.
  16. Starshot powered down the G-Bike and dismounted. He unslung the blaster rifle and kept it pointed in the direction of the Pirate. No time for tricks. His boots trudged through the sands and he felt the sweat on his brow. The cybernetic heat-dispersal systems down his spine were humming, almost glowing as they worked furoiusly to dissapate the heat. "Games over, pirate" he called out, standing a good ten paces from the fallen soul. "You can answer my questions, and maybe, if I like the answers and they are truthful, I wont empty this blaster's power pack all over your corpse..."
  17. Starshot "Oh no you don't!" grumbled Starshot. He kept the bike going as fast as he could, but reached down to the whip at his belt. With a snap, he opened it up with his right hand, whilst driving with his left. The engine was screaming with the effort. He wondered, for a moment, how far he could push his vehicle. And indeed, how far could this captive push the car? But for now, he tried a bold move. He snapped the whip over to his right, and tried to take the rider off the bike! That would be nasty, but the sand would surely take the worst of the impact off?
  18. Whipping the Pirate! Trying for a trip attack with the whip, with the intention of getting him off the bike! Whip Trip Pirate: 1d20+12 22 If drive roll needed, taking 10.

GM Smokey nodded, half-listening to the banter and reflections of the two superheroes. "Just don't her mushroom soup" he offered, as what was probably rather sage advice. Many different mushrooms grew on her roof and in her garden, and it would be unwise indeed to eat them. He knocked on the door of the ramshackle building whilst his three mates stayed in the truck. "Greeny! Its me, Snokey!" he shouted at the door. "Let me in!" "Bog off! I'm coming down hard..." said a womans voice, fainlty, through the door. For the door was still slammed shut and showed no signs of opening...
  20. Sgt Shark would be a good underwater character.
  21. If its ok with you, using knowledge (Physical Sciences or Technology - both have the same bonus) as a reaction to see if there is any comic book science solution. Like firing a blaster pistol at the wave to create a quasi-collapsed hyperdimensional loop or something... Knowledge physicalology: 1d20+11 20
  22. GM The Soldier was helmeted and armoured, but he went flying from the force of the blow - crashing into a patisserie the other side of the road, to the sound of shattered glass. He was a big guy. He grunted, and tried to get up, but staggered, falling into a three tier cream cake to somewhat comedic effect. "<Hostile at five. Hold position. Terminate>" yelled one of the soldiers, who was standing by the solider trying to cut through to the armoured truck (and making good headway, Replica noted..." The game was on!

She can be considered next to the Rifle Guy, but the others are out of melee range (but can be reached with a move action)
  24. Echohead Echohead struggled to understand half of what he had felt during his dip into the alien mind. But one name was clear. Blackstar. He was behind this. But how? What machinations are turning? He hadn't really much of a clue. He was a gardener, and then he had some AEGIS briefing (about super villians on this world). And...aliens and the realms beyond earth were a blank. In any case, everyone else seemed to know what they were doing. So he should pretend he did. "Pardon us for not trusting you" he shouted at the Platinum. "We will get the truth soon enough!" On this I am confident! Lets see what he knows about the machine in more detail! But first! He reached into the motor cortex, and gave a hard tug. See if he could move anything after that...
  25. Ok so nothing fancy, another psychic attack on PP: Paralyse 10 (DC 20 Will Attack). That will mean shifting the array so no more mind reading / feedback.
