GM "Farouk? That bucket of slime? Hmmm" Misi considered the matter for a moment. It did not take long. "I have a pretty good guess. Tasmah Aldam. Crocodile blood. A cesspool of depravity and debauchery. Where every no good infidel spends his days in wine, hasish, and women, boasting of conquests and dealing in the black market...!" he explained. "Or....um....so I have heard. Obviously, I would not tarnish my soul by going there myself. But, I suppose I might face such spiritual anguish for the greater good!" "LETS GO!" he said, excitedly, almost salivating.

GM "Hmph. I suppose I could try something..." said Pixie, the grump seeming to have infected her. She screwed up her face, clenched teeth, and became invisible. And then, in a manner most peculiar, almost indescribably, the invisibility flowed off her and on to the Grumpy Green Giant. "What? ME no see ME!" started Grumpy. "ME not VISIBLE!" he exclaimed, stomping around. The stomps, it must be said, could be heard. "Phew...is that what you wanted?" Pixie asked Beekeeper and Fascimile, hands on her knees exhausted from the effort.

Diamondlight "Thing can always get worse" replied Diamondlight, firmly but with a glint in his eye and a cold smile on his lips. "But I love a gamble. If the cards always fell your way, there would be no point in playing" he explained as he landed. Truth was, it was a much more comfortable flight than he had anticipated. "And now, its time to turn over a few cards and see what we are dealing with" he said, full of anticipation. "I don't want you to think me a coward, but after you, sir!" he said, smoothly. "If there bee any traps here, they might not sting if the owner. In other words, being dressed in Beekeeper armour might spare you any trap or pit!"

Snakebite Of course, they did not walk too fast. One could not reel the bait in too quickly. They peeled off down a smaller road, towards the docks. She started guiding Ritterton towards less well lit, dim, and empty streets by the dock, until eventually she thrust him (quick but gently) around a corner. "Take cover. Ill get out little fishes" she whispered, noting, with a certain pleasure, that it is was in the docks that the fishing would be done. She drew out her tranq-gun. Ideally, knocking out one would be good. And keeping one awake for a bit of interrogation and intimidation. She crept forward, boots sliding against the concrete, almost silently...

Well, she is going to try and surpise them! Stealth: 1d20+10 18 And as it is probably coming up Initiative: 1d20+10 22 If possible, ducking into low-light area where she has the advantage ov her super senses!

GM And so...a moment or two later... Doctor Ahmed Misi and the Scarab stood some safe distance away. The Doctor was not exatly pleased with the Scarab's jiggery-pokery. After all, her calculations and modifications to the equipment in the warehouse were designed to safely blow everything up. "But!" he explained. "If I can get Farouks treacherous head in my hands, oh...well...that will be a sweetness amongst all the bitter days!" he muttered. As cowardly and passive as he might appear, Misi was clearly one for vengeance. You could almost see the Cogs turn in his head as he calculated and wondered about all the violent nasty ends he might empose on Farouk. And empose in a most slow way. "Its valuable, all the equipment in that warehouse" he said, one last plea to the Scarab. "Are you sure you have to blow it up?"

GM Morgen stayed her blade, her fury oozing out of with her sweat. "Ice man, I will make my own path through this world, and I am glad it does not begin with death. And yet...I am not sure if you are life, or death, or something in between. I pray you are on the side of life, anyway. I pray I will not rue this day..." She lowered the blade. "Now, as you yield, you must swear to let me be, and not hinder my own road..." she demanded. Although now, her kindness showed. This was not a demand of fury, but a demand of liberty. "I confess, this day has not gone quite as I anticipated" said Sin, slowly. "The Icy Juice was invaluable, you see. If only we could have harvested more!". He looked...dissapointed...but not, despite every appearance, defeated. The Duke, for his part, was happy. "What a show! What delightful little people you all are!" he laughed, quite gay. "Now, if you would mind taking your boot off me" he asked Voin. "I would love to bake you a cake and listen to your wonderful stories! And tell me of this Codus...."

GM "Oh Ill stay up here! Not that I feel safe, exactly. Just less petrified with cold fear!" he explained, making sure he stayed quite under cover. In case of explosions. "But...I mean...is it safe?" he asked, searching for a hint of trouble. From the Scarab's point of view, it looked so. There were several Daka Weapons in the warehouse, and various accesories to said weapons, chargers, repair kits, and so on. But no explosive traps or, more likely, things that would explode. This was a corrupted Daka crystal there were dealing with, after all. And on that note, there was no actual Daka crystal, Just the weapons.... "Farouk, my cousin, will pay for this!....Ah...is he down there?" called the Doctor.

GM "Thou slippery nature is low and plebian! Though laughter is but a ducks water off back!" said the Irate Pirate, as he flickered and distorted. His code was degrading thanks to Replica's cyber attack. He actually winced in real pain. "Verily, I will rise to the regal nobility!" he declared, his faux-Shakespeak quotes become quite garbled and nonsense. "And I shall slay you until you die from death!" he added, more nonsensincal and garbled than ever. This time, he pulled out the most enormous flintlock pistol from...well....the mind boggled. It was from behind. The pistol must have been two or three feet long, and with a flash of cyber-smoke, it fired a digital cannon...

Even At this distance, its still a relatively minor explosion for Maybelle, A damage 2 area effect, so Reflex DC 12 and then Toughness 17 or 16 respectively. It is, however, lethal damage. Her force field will lamentably not be up, however! And given thats a bit mean and you did such excellent work with the cooking (great posts), this will combine to earn her an HP! GM Figg tried all three. "Disguisting!" "Abomination!" "Filth...oh hell!" he tried to complete his trio of proclamations. But he couldn't help it. The food was that good. "Alright! Alright! I got to give it to ya, this is damn good!" he said, shovelling more food in his mouth. There really was no denying it. As good as his own meats had been, Maybelle had outshone him, and the crowd declared her the winner by applause. "I guess that makes you the best BBQ chef of Texas!" said Vernon Pepper, trying to ccream off the glory by osmosis. Figg just grunted, not best pleased, but quite aware the crown had fallen. WHOOOMPH!!!! There was a mighty pillar of fire and smoke that exploded from the grill he had left some of his food on. It must have been two dozen feet high. Screams and shrieks filled the air. THere were more than a couple of light burns from those nearby. Both Figg and Salt were thrown back from the erruption, and as Maybelle caught the tail end of it, she sore Figgs hair on fire... And nearby... Sam Pepper and Gossamer both saw and heard the explosion. In credit to Sam, she was reacting in an instant, picking up one of the fire extinguichers and a WEST scanner. "Come on! That's our call!" she said to Gossamer, a smile on her face as she anticipated some ACTION!

GM "What?!? Thou mocketh me with though laughter?" said the Pirate, drawing himself up to his full five feet (for, verily, he wath a cartoonish pirate) "I am vexed! I am insulted! I am irate!" he proclaimed. "And they do not call me the Irate Pirate for nothing! Yes! For I be champion of anarchy!" He flourished his rapied once more. "I will no more look past this than I would polish my backside with a French Jellyfish!" he declared. Quite what the French had to do with this was anybodies guess. Although he did present a faux-English accent. "En-Garde!" he demanded, and leapt forward. And here the pop culture crept in, for his rapier glowed a red colour and hummed as he swung it, like a sword of illumination. Or, Like a sabre. Made of light.

GM The Scarab was clearly a slippery customer. The two remaining thugs looked at each other, then at the Scarab, then at each other again. It seemed that a mutual understanding had hit them. When the going got tough, the not-so-tough got going. The two functionless Daka weapons dropped to the ground. And both of them turned away and ran out of the warehouse as fast as they could. From above, the Doctor clapped. "KICK ASSES!" he yelled, full of encouragement.

Snakebite "Simple!" she answered, hoping that it was indeed simple. She gave him an encouraging wink. "So YOU have TATES JOURNAL?" she asked him loudly. "The ONE WHERE HE WROTE DOWN mumble mumble mumble CONSPIRACY?" she asked him even more loudly. Shocked. "I CANT BELIEVE THAT mumble mumble WAS BEHIND IT! AND HE HAS mumble mumble AS EVIDENCE?" she added, quite emphatic now. "YOU HAVE TO SHOW ME...BUT NOT HERE! LETS GO OUTSIDE and mumble mumble mumble" she said, quite certain of her imaginary and non existant plan.

GM And so... But...here was a problem! For the biggest and finest and nearest source of chocolate was Mr. William Kerr's chocolate factory. In an industrial zone just north of Freedom City. "ME SMASH PLACE DOWN!" grumped Mr. Grump. But they were far away. A mile. And Mr. Grump, being over ten feet tall and green (and nearly - but thankfully not completely - naked) was rather a noticeable fellow. It was by guile an like they had even got this close. Roads, vehicles now. And people scooting from this plate to other pretending (and even occasionaly being) to busy at work. It was quite clear that one fellow outside the factory had just collected a bundle of sheets and was pacing around the building looking concerned and flustered, but in fact just getting some exercise and sending out the impression he was an asset to the business. But even a mile out, the smell of chocolate wafted on a zephyr up the nostril. "Yummy! This is going to be the tastiest adventure EVER!" said Pixie.

Diamondlight "If only..." sighed Diamondlight, whistfully. He was always rather sad when he thought about the sixties. Sad that he missed it. But hey, he could savour life now! So resolved, he brightened up "Sure thing, Beekeeper! Onwards and downwards, as they don't say!" he quipped. "I wouldn't mind a lift though, if you can carry me!" He kept his flashlight, of course. But getting flown down, on bee wings no less, was an opportunity he simply could not miss! "And I think there will be more than the sixties down there! And I'm not talking the fifties or seventies, either. The old Beekeeper might have left a few surprises in store protecting his cash!"

Curveball Curveball had big eyes with big pupils, a mutation that allowed her to see in perfect detail miles away, even at night. And they opened quite wide in surprise as he gazed into the blinding light. The white haze that followed was so intense it hurt. And she couldn't see a thing. She felt adrenaline turn to icy fear with the blindness. She felt sweat cling like a disease to her skin. She had no witty comeback, no words of defiance. Instead, she gathered a few shreds of reflexive thinking, dropped to the ground, and scuttled away, fumbling with her four hands, to crouch behind a podium...

Ref vs Dazzle: 1d20+10 13 makes her dazzled, I am presuming. She will use her moves this round to fumble around and take cover. Fort Recover Dazzle: 1d20+8 14 her fort recovery, so remains dazzled.
