  1. Quick march to the Pirate trying to get away! If workable, perhaps a dramatic power loss on the Helmet for an HP (if it is pertinent!)
  2. Ok! As per IC, seeing if L&S feel they can do something techy with the doors! If not, I guess the grav bike may be in order!
  3. Starshot "One left standing" he commented to his companions. "And two down. Although how long for is another matter. The gas is clearing". He looked at the door. "Can either of you get through this? And fast?" he asked them. Lock picking was not something he ever bothered with. Yezlian snakes didn't use hypermag locks in their liars. "Otherwise its the hard way. With blasters and exlosives. Not as fast as I would like. But it will get the job done..."
  4. GM "Daylight" nodded Moon, in agreement. "They surely will not. I cant say I work to well in the daylight. More of a lunar man" he smiled, his lunar eyes glinting. "But you are right. The Sun shines and the scum scuttle back to their holes, at least for the most part..." And so... The Bad Beat it was. Old Dick (and his unaged cat, Young Pussy) was quite happy to oblige; at least for a day or two. Since it was Burned down and rebuilt, it had become a kind of Switzerland in Bedlam City. Possibly partially because no crook wanted the Burner, the crazed vigilante, on a warpath. Yeah, they could do with out that heat. Bdum dum tish! went the Jazz band drummer. And a day later, out of the city it was. Anonynimity in a busy daytime train. And that, it seemed, was a small victory. ...for now... ~ Fin ~
  5. Ok lets recap on the action! Round 2 (ish, we are a bit out of synch but lets go with 2) Im giving Sin an Init of 0 for ease (it arguably would be a lot higher but hes completly pinned so irrelevant) Initiative: 1d20+10 27 for the Duke Round 2 27 Duplicate Duke - Unharmed 25 - Frost - 1 HP - Fatigued 15 - Morgen - Unharmed [Sword at Tough 6] 12 - Voin - Unharmed - 2 HP 7 - DReadnought - Unharmed - 0HP 0 - Dr Sin - Pinned For his action, the Duke will scuttle away on his little legs off towards the stables!
  6. GM Dr sin seemed rather surprised that Dreadnought got the better of him. He did not struggle once in his grip though. "Ah! You are faster than you look, fool! I will remember that!" he said, cunning and cruel. "You have me of course. I can no more break free of your grasp than I can break a mountain..." he commented quite calmly. He looked straight in the eye of Dreadnought with the most cunning and cruel of smiles. "You are quite the fool!" he laughed straight in Dreadnought's face. "Your brawn is no match for me!" "I suddently remembered! My Hyena is on fire! Please excuse me!" proclaimed the Duke, who turned heel and, with surprsing agility, scuttled off, vaulting over a statue of Napolean quite gracefully.
  7. Move action: Take cover Standard action: Ready a blaster shot (actually a stun - lets try non lethal) in case he gets a shot at Platinum.
  8. Echohead "Uh...uh...Everybody please proceed exitly to the calm! We have got this under-contolled!" proclaimed Echohead in his normal quasi-bold way. He waved his gun vaguely at the EXIT sign and tried not to discharge it. Got him! he thought proudly, the winged antagonist down, having quite forgotten how to move muscles. And now...he turned his attention to the platinum person. Wait! He couldn't see! Darkness consumed the air! Which meant he could not steal any thoughts! "Its too dark!" he wailed to everybody. He took a few steps to the side, taking cover behind one piece of expensive laboratory equipment not as expensive as my life! and aimed his blaster and the swirling darkness...if he got a shot, he would take it!
  9. No probs...post that grapple IC!
  10. NB: Ex if you feel it fits the narrative and clumsy complication feel free to scuff that roll an earn an HP.
  11. Apologies I had a brain fart. I had you getting 22 not 24. YOu grapple Dr Sin (He cannot beat that). Post away
  12. Lamentably, Dr Sin is master ofmysterious martial arts and has a whopping Defence of +14! Can you post IC?
  13. Snakebite Cassie studied the maps with great interest. Not just the geography, but the substance. This was not the first map of human flesh she had seen (And in fact the British Museum had worse locked away from public consumption without special request), but it remained unpalatable. "Someone's literally scrubbed it off the map" she concluded. "And seeing as it doesn't appear in any modern map, with all out satellites and so on, that's some spectacular feat. Either this is some global consipiracy, a scientific marvel, or some Eldritch machination" she concluded. "Or possibly all three" she added, studying the coin. "In any case, I sense an adventure coming on! TIme to visit Indonesia!"
  14. GM "Honey! YES!" replied Mr. Grumpy the Grumpy Freen Giant. "SAM the SHAFT! That was what he called himself. The middle bit!" he explaied, twiddling with his fingers to indicate the bit of a key that lay betwixt one end and the other. "He loved HONEY!" "CURSES! It was ALL Mr. CANDYS FAULT!" he said, stamping his feet angrily. "KEPT FEEDING THE KEY HONEY, MARSHMELLOWS, AND CHOCHOLATE!" He turned off to some imaginary fourth wall. "DONT FORGET KIDS! SUGAR IS ADDICTIVE!" He turned back to the Beekeeper. "YOU! WASP! CAN YOU HELP ME FIND SAM? This place has LOTS OF HONEY! He MUST be HERE!"
  15. I think Sin will resist that so go for an attack!
  16. And New thread is up! Along with the OOC!

    Gridlock

    OOC for this!
  18. GM "Robotics, eh?" said North, tapping his chin. "Handy. We have all sorts of threats to deal with, and, yes, the development of Artificial Intelligence is on that list. Although I dare say robotic weapons and the like should be on it too. Imagine a rogue drone equipped with tactical nukes. Or self replicating robot soliders. Pretty much anything can be weaponised these days, and any weapon is, by its nature, a threat" He stood up and shook Replica's hand. "Well, consider yourself on our list of consultants, madam. Im sure ill push through the paperwork. Even if it does take a long time..." he sighed. "Lets hope we don't need you. But, to be frank, in todays world, I suspect it won't be long..." ~ Fin ~
  19. GM August 30th 16:15 WEST has a small office just the other side of the street (or thereabouts). It was here that Replica came to see Dr Norris North who sat, pressing his temples, anxiety perfusing his sweat. The message had just said URGENT! VERY URGENT! "We have a serious problem" he muttered, not pleased with said problem. "I think we have a rogue AI. Some idiot hacker has taken the brakes off a traffic control system. We were already getting concerned about the experimental code in the quantum computer ASTRO labs installed there. Now it looks like the traffic is going,...well...mental...." he explained, not happy with his explanation. "WEST is meant to head off these threats before the brown stuff hits the fan" he said, dissapointed. "Now, we are against the clock. And I am thin, to say the best, on resources. I hope you can handle computers. Please tell me you can handle computers! You said you could handle computers!"
  20. Snakebite "Indonesia? I can put it on a map" replied Cassie. "But I have never been. Would like to, but my life is rather busy. And I can't speak Malay" She could speak a dozen languages, but not Malay! "Other than that, its an interesting place. Islamic, multi-cultural, a collection of islands with a rich history. Biodiverse" she concluded. She knew the history of course, but she always felt that there was something more solid in an understanding of a place when one had actually been there. "And if you are dangling that rumour in front of me, don't wory. Consider me hooked!"
  21. In case you missed my discord message This thread is a post or two from wrap. Were you up for a follow up with WEST? I beleive you fancied something about working with AIs? (of the moderately malign type, I would think!)
  22. GM "Well, that would work, I suppose...." grumped the Doctor, vexed that his own magnificent ideas were trumped by another (obviously inferior, he considered) ideas. With a tweak of electrodes, a reconfiguration of vibration modulatoin, and a gravitronic reversal (all courtesy of the magnificent mind of the Scarab), the sonic blasters were reconfigured. "I have to say, I am impressed!" conceded the doctor, his irritation superseded by admiration. "That should temporariliy inhibit all Daka-energy! I mean, its all a bit unpredictable with corrupted crystals...but even I have confidence. Not very much confidence, of course, but that, I dare say, is my personality rather than my rational assessment!" he added with uncharacteristic insight. All thanks to the Scarab's genius!
  23. Ok, thats good enough to allow your weapons to be changed to an continuous area nullify (Daka handwave). However, using them for any other purpose will require an HP or fatigue on the weapons as thats how they are configured, and will of course stop the nullify until you reactivate it.
  24. Throw me a Know (Physical Sciences) roll for that! and, if you wish to modify your weapons to optimise them for nullification, a Craft (Electronics)
  25. Snakebite Cassie was in a neutral dress and heels, looking professional and academic - or at least she hopes. She was not exactly uncomfortable in such formal wear, but it was not her natural habitat either. The British Museum, however, was. She shook Doctor Ritterton's hand confidently. "That's right, Doctor Ritterton. It's a pleasure to meet you. Can I offer you a drink?" she asked politely, indicating the drinks cabinet that had, pride of place, some of the finest port you might place on lips. She felt rather impressed with the man's presence, intelligent and warm, rich and experienced. Much like the port itself.
