  1. GM "well...thats the problem...." said the dejected Giant, who promptly sat down. He seemed rather unimpressed with Fascimile turning into...well...a giant piece of earth himself. "Wow! Look!...I can see the great lakes!" commented PIxie, pointing exitedly at Fascimile's left scapula. "The pieces can look like ANYTHING! Thats how it is making a KEY THAT CAN OPEN THE UNIVERSE!" said the Giant, proudly. "They can change SHAPE! As long as its METAL!" He had an idea, however. "BUT! ME KNOWS HOW TO FIND THEM!" He paused dramatically. "THEY LOVE SUGAR!" "Thats why they ran away! Because they loved sugar so much! ME FED THEM TOO MUCH SUGAR WHEN WE WAS MAKING THEM!" he shouted, as if he had found the secret to existence and wished to share his genius with the world.
  2. A continet? Lets add Burrowing 5 and Immovable 5 if thats ok?
  3. GM The Ember Sword was stronger than steel, forged from the Icy Juice of her coccoon. Birthed in eldritch and divine energy. But still...Frosts cold grip made it cold beyond coldness, and it started to splinter. Morgen's scarred eye seemed to look at him and she gave a grimace showing off her poor dental hygeine (well, it was a time well before toothpaste...) "Swift like the sharpest ice" she commented. "And you kill like the harshest winter" she speculated. "But I burn with the fire of Gods. No fire or ice will ever touch me again. This I have learned, and so will you..." She pulled the sword out of his grip, leaving behind splinters and shards of the ember. "I would not kill. But I will show you that my will is stronger, and no man nor woman will command me" she swore, before bringing the sword round like an axe. It was not exactly a skilled movement, but her strength, ferocity and brutal determination were effective, and the blade tore into comrade Frost. Aside from the furious strength of the blow, the Ember seemed to try and take something from him. Something inside. Maybe his soul, or life force, or essence. Call it what you will, it was precious, and Frost felt it being torn away....
  4. So Morgen will try to intimidate Frost in response as a move action! Move intimidate: 1d20+5 22 ouch! And then swing the someone frosted ember sword! Swings Sword: 1d20+10 26 ouch again. I think that hits, in which case it is a nasty one. A DC 25 Toughness save vs damage and a linked DC 20 Fatigue Effect WIL save.
  5. Her Will bonus is +12...so even with a super duper bonus, that wont work!
  6. GM "Don't talk to me about peas!" grumbled the grumpy green giant. "Some young thief grew a giant beanstalk and...never mind......hmmmph...." "And dont tell me how Keys. Me makes good keys! Me melting and smelting metals for a thousand years! Me knows more about Keys than you!" he said, defiantly. "ME KNOWS KEYS!" He waves his hammer around violently. Although not, it seemed, with the intention of violence. "Me made KEY THAT OPENS ANYTHING!" he said proudly. "EVEN HEADS!" He paused to think. "NOT like THIS OPENS HEADS!" he added, pointing to his hammer. "KEY THAT OPENS ANYTHING! But then KEY DIDN'T LIKE BEING KEY, AND SPLIT OFF INTO THREE PARTS AND RAN AWAY!" He was most vexed, it seems, about the Key. "Grumpy...." commemted Pixie in her normal cheerful and unsubtle manner. "ME GRUMPY!" said Mr. Grumpy the Grumpy Green Giant. "Yes you are!" confirmed Pixie. "ME Not WANT to hurt anybody. Not VERY MUCH anyway" conceded Mr. Grumpy. "BUT me DOES want KEY BACK! And me WOULD hurt anybodies to get Key BACK. OR if me gets BORED!"
  7. Diamondlight Some Hindu Goddess. He couldn't remember the name. Maybe justice. Or money. Hell I can't remember everything....he was nevertheless annoyed that he couldn't place her. The money however...that was interesting. He thumbed through a few notes. The National Bank of Freedom? He never dealt with that bank. He didn't bother too much with the accountancy these days, but he did when he was growing his business. He knew the nooks and crannies pretty well. The Bank no longer existed. And...now he thought about it, some of the pieces of the jigsaw fell into place. Could it be? in the sixties the original Bee-Keeper had stolen a big hoard from the national bank of Freedom, and it had never been recovered. Until now? He gave a grin of excitement. This was some discovery! The old cars, the hexagonal architecture...it must be. The Hindu Goddess didn't quite fit though...at least to his recollection. Was she some kind of guardian? there was not any security as far as he could see. Surely the Bee-Keeper had taken some precautions? A hint of danger? Hmmm....best to be alert. And in any case, there might be someone to help put the final pieces together. Satisfied with his own cleverness, he turned to go back to the High Steaks, intent on finding the modern day Bee-Keeper!
  8. GM "Me WANTS ME KEY!" stamped the Giant. He was big and heavy and very very strong. And very green, in fact. A leather lion cloth and furry boots were his only cloth, and one would not wish to contemplate what lay underneath either...for he had a musty odour in addition. He pointed his hammer at the Beekeeper. "Have you seen my key?" he demanded. "It was a VERY naughty key. It split up and ran off. HMPH. Naughty key! I NEED it!" he explained, in what was - it must be said - a rather spartan explanation. "And why are you a BEE?" he asked the Beekeeper. One got the impressoin that whilst the giant was not stupid....he was very far away from smart.....
  9. GM "Yes yes! Theoretically!" agreed the Doctor. "I mean. Theoretically. That doesn't necesarrily translate into practice. But yes, it could work! It better work, too. Otherwise zap zap zap!" he added, miming a daka crystal gun firing. "But..how are we going to do that? Do you have a variable hyperdimensional lens array to hand? Or a quantum displacement field collapser?" he asked inquisitively. There was even a touch of excitement in his voice at the thought of such magnificent science springing to life. And stopping them getting zapped.
  10. ooc for this Spicy, feel free to narrate whatever reason Baxter is at the bee farm!
  11. GM Saturday, Sept 1st North of Freedom City At the Yummytummy Apiary The yummytummy apiary was, predictably, buzzing with activity. Busy little bees making honey. It was out of the city, but no so far. And of course, the Beekeeper was there indulging his obsession with bees as part of his alter ego. But so to where Fascimile and Ms. Penny Coin, the fae owner of the mysterious Puzzle Box. She was fiddling with the box in her hands, and one could only guess at how many dimensions it had. More than three, for certain. But unarguably less than four, as well. That was how the Puzzle Box was. "Look! its being driving me here! Like a compass! Buzzing all the time!" she complained to Fascimile. "Something needs to be solved!" She twirled one side and pressed a button, and with its usual spectacular explosion of nothingness.... A green giant appeared. Over ten feet tall, with a hammer in his hand, angry red hair, and a most grumpy expression. "WHERES MY KEY!" he boomed at Fascimile and Pixie, although the Beekeeper (at the moment, Baxter Bowles) was nearby studying this or that feature of this or that wasp - and he certainly heard!
  12. Echohead "Oh dear oh my!" Echohead reached inside his rather stylish black clothes (woven with impervium) and pulled out his rather stylish snub nosed energy pistol. "Ill shoot you, you know!" he said, remembering some action movies of his youth and wondering if he could be a hero. Wait! That little toy was just a back-up! Instead, he flexed his mighty cortex and went a-theivin'. His psionic powers tickled the Eagle's brain and found the motor cortex. Excellent! Something to steal! Putting his mind to work, he started exerting his will against the Eagle's...trying to remove motor functions... "This will clip your wings!" he said, full of hope.
  13. GM "Excellent" answered Doctor North, clearly rather pleased. "Now comes the tricky part. For me, rather than you. I have a ton of paperwork to fill out. Security clearances to check. Pen-pushing idiots to negotiate with, some of whom are paranoid, some of whom are incompetent. I regret to say many are both" he sighed. "I won't bore you with the details. Unless you find such monotony stimulating - something that would in fact label you as too psychologically unstable to do the job" he chuckled. "But to do what I need to do..." his faced twisted in displeasure at the tasks ahead "...I do need to know a little about you" he explained. He sat back and finished his tea. "For starters, what are you....?" he asked. This was not a threatening question, but a relaxed one. "For my benefit too, you understand. I need to know what your tricks are so I know who to call, and when. You can handle yourself, and have a good nature, this I conclude from your recent actions. Do you have any specialist area's of expertise?"
  14. Move action: Pull out Snub-nosed blaster. Standard Action: Perception Range Paralyse. Making a will save of DC 20 on Electrum Eagle. Lets hope those wings go down!
  15. GM "You got it..." Whooomf! nothing happened. And everything happened. Or maybe both. And then they were standing in the graveyard where they had trounced the mistress of bones. Time had passed, but who knew how much? Night it was, and the moon shone through the clouds. But this was a regular moon, not bloated or fat. Just a lump of rock thousands of miles away. And in her hand, the Puzzle Pixie held the Puzzle box thoughtfully. "Back in the boring old world. Still boring" she sighed, although she turned the puzzle box gently. "At least, until the next puzzle appears" she said, more brightly. "I feel like it is stuffed full of things that need endings. But how things end, well, that's not so simple I guess..." ~ Fin? ~
  16. Mr Murk Mr Murk nodded. She knew her stuff. Which was more than he knew, as an imposter. "Very astute, very astute" he agreed. "I would not play the deception further, madam" he said politely. "I am immortal. And, although I may be wrong about this matter, I have come to understand that you are too" "If I am correct, then do not be alarmed. And know that you are not alone. No, not alone at all. Rare as immortals are, there are certainly more than two who walk the earth. Considerably more" he explained. "Forgive my secrecy and deception on the matter. I have come to approach this with caution and subtelty, to avoid alarm. As you say, undue attention is unwise...."
  17. Starshot "It's the inside that worries me" answered Starshot, although he was pleased enough with the start. "We can't wait for them to recover, reorientate, or call in for reinforcements" he said "We need to get inside as soon as possible". He tapped open his helmet HUD. The power was dangerously low now...but he would spend it. He switche dto X-Ray Vision, trying to scan inside. Of course, it might be blocked by high-density materials. And the power drain was significant...but even it it sucked the helmet dry, perhaps he could get a glimpse of what was inside, and more importantly how to ge inside. Failing that, brute force and blaster beams would do the trick. But that would take more time...
  18. Echohead... "Umm...I'm s..s...s...sure there is no alarm to be reasoned!" bablled Echohead, quite unusure of the situation. Well, these two fellows popping in through a dimensional door certainly looked like something one should be alarmed about. And, he thought, probably two fellows you could reason with. Thank goodness there was an AEGIS agent there! Wait! He was the AEGIS agent! Well, thank good ness there was some superheroes there! WAIT! He was a superhero! Well, best get on with it then, he supposed. "State your peace. We come in purpose!" he said, more dramatically.
  19. Initiative: 1d20+5 21 for Echohead's initiative. If its ok with you, he will have copied some scientists head (with permission) to gain Knowledge (Physical Sciences) 8 Knowledge (Technology) 8 Computers 8 Knowledge (Electronics) 8 So he knows what he is doing! If that doesnt work, fine with you ascribing suitable skills.
  20. The hit will certainly hit, putting Frost at 1 HP (Her Defence is +10, I guess the sword would gety a +4 bonus for size, but still a hit!) Now as I understand it, there would be a reflex save to avoid the toughness (As its a device in her hand) - Reflex vs Sword Drain: 1d20+6 10. So thats the full 12 point toughness drain. Its Device 6 so I think that gives a toughness of 16 base, now reduced to a measily 6! If I have missed any of the rules there, let me know (they aren't your regular ones!)
  21. If it's ok (as no imminent danger) I think best to take ten here. Which would make 18 for art and 30 for business
  22. GM Pixie cheered up fractionally, wiping away tears. "I didn't drag you here. Its like this place collapsed..." she said. "We are inside the Puzzle Box. Like the Box captured something stuck. Something wrong. And when Ludwig died, the puzzle was solved..." She paused a moment. "I guess there is more than one way to solve a puzzle. This wasn't the way I would have chose. But its solved anyway..." She forced herself to a more serene mood. "At least, I hope its solved. I am not sure how real this place is at all. I don't know where the Gravedigger went. Or where Ludwig's body is. And his dead ghost wife, well I have no idea...." "I still don't understand the Puzzle Box. But I have a feeling it is a lot more powerful than I thought..."
  23. GM And so... Everything hurt of course, but he was still alive. The Gravedigger had promised that. He was lying in the same silk bed, on a dream like corridor of mist. Pixie was wringing her hands next to him. She had obviously been crying. "Oh thank goodness!" she gasped as Fascimile woke up. "The Puzzle Box has been trying to close. Its like...we won. Sort of. Whatever needed to be resolved, got resolved...." She burst into tears. "The Gravedigger cut his head off! Barely blinked an eye. And...I think maybe Ludwig wasn't so angry about that. He just sighed. He was just full of sorrow. Grief. Loss...." she moaned. "We didn't win really did we? I mean, it came to an end. The dead aren't walking. But...I think we lost...."
  24. So I hope that works. Voin and DN are free to act on the stage at any point. (For reference, Voins initiative was 12, DN initiative 7) Morgen - Initiative: 1d20+6 15 Round 1 25 - Frost - 2 HP - Unharmed 15 - Morgen - Unharmed Morgen and Frost are an elegant two dozen feet from each other. There are plenty of overhead branches, trees, shrubbery, and little statues. Even a pond nearby, if you want to use the environment.
