  1. Giving you a chance to chip in from that IC, but if Replica staying quiet and still, let me know and ill expand the IC some more!
  2. GM "Boss, boss, is that you?" said the poor guard, his gun up and eyes squinting. It was dark, and he was uncertain. The basement was forbidden, but on the other hand, the door was open... He caught sight of the glass woman, although the completely bizzarre nature of her susbtance was not getting through to his brain. "Miss, who are you?" he asked, suspiciously - but perhaps with a touch of concern. "I am glass" said the glass woman, slowly. "Glass? What kind of name is that?" answered the gaurd, quite confused. "It is my name" This confused the guard even more. "Are...are you alright? You look...unwell..." he blubbered, the light glinting of glass was more than merely odd. "I am awake. I feel well. I was talking" said the Glass woman. "Talking...to who?" asked the guard.... "A woman" came the bland reply. The guard pulled up his gun, nervous now. "Down here? But nobody is allowed down here...I...I better go tell the boss...." he said with a gulp. "My love! Yes! Bring him to me!" said the glass woman, achingly. "Yeah...sure...." gulped the guard, slowly edging his way out of the room and back up the stairs....
  3. Should work, but lets give the security guard a small notice skill! Notice: 1d20+4 16 no luck!
  4. Echohead "I am G-man, my friend. Here to save the day". He wasn't sure of that, not by a long shot. His relationship with AEGIS was not simple; an affliate, a loose cannon, a tool. But he needed them and, whilst they did not need him, they certainly found him useful. "Look, there's nothing to worry about. In fact, now is the time to stop worrying. It is, in fact, your lucky day" he explained. "Can you tell me what happened? The more I know the better" he asked, gently. "We need your help to stop this. And find out whats going on. Perhaps find out whats going on before we stop it..." he said, getting his order right. "Otherwise we can't stop it. Whatever it is..." It was a bit of a gabble, but he said it gently and calmly, with a meek smile on his face.
  5. This is an experiment, and thus it has a higher than normal chance of collapse, and its quality is more likely to be poor. Im looking at a mash up of the WHO and X-Files. PCs called in to help with scientific (psychological, medical, biological, chemical, physical, whateverical) anomalies around the world that might potentially be hazardous. More than regular scientists will be needed. As normal, combat is entirely possible, even probable, but this will not be the main part of the drama. If you have a PC PL 8-12, who you think has either good investigative / scientific skills, or powers that complement such scenarious (such as super senses or familiarity trekking through dinasaur infested hyperdimensional jungles), and you can reliable commit to regular and frequent posting (1/day), and are interested, and we get on... (Yes, I know the list is shortening) Let me know! PS: This will be set on Earth, for the main part.
  6. GM Pixie quickly snatched up the wishbone as the strange perfusion of arcane and eldritch matter seeped into Fax. And one could only wonder what that meant... "Awesomely Awesome!" grinned Pixie. "I have been dying to know what this does!" With complete and utter impatience, she clicked the wishebone into the puzzle box. Nothing happened. "What? Nothing?" she groaned, dissapointed. There was a whirr. Then a click. "Now that's more li----" And then a sound unlike any sound one could imagine. A reconfiguration of dimensions more than four and less than one. An explosion of nothing. Everything rearranged itself to be a completely differently exactly the same... And then... Well, that's another story! ~ Fin??? ~ In other words, continued in....
  7. GM The duke - short and rotund - stood up, startled. Yes, startled - not afraid - but quite quite surprised. He dropped his tea which shattered and spilt on a very expensive rug. "What! I didn't invite you!" he said, indignant for a brief second before his mind started molding the situation into something more interesting. "And what a grip! like a glacier!" he said, wringing his hand. "You, sir, are rather an interesting fellow! what be your name, Sir!" he asked. "It is Comrade Frost, the Ice Comissar, Dr. Dimitri Ivanovitch Peshkov" said Dr Sin, who smiled enigmatically. He was neither shocked nor surprised, nor featful either. He just carried on drinking his tea. "Hardly your friend. But interesting all the same" he said, as a butler stepped into the room. The butler was a tall man of perhaps fifty years who looked fit and alert, and was very well dressed. "I do apologise Sir, but there seems to be some commotion outside, some kind of giant doing a dance...oh! I was not aware you had another guest, sir!" he added as he spotted Comrade Frost. "I shall get some more tea!" he said with a smile at Comrade Frost, and a turn of heel indicating he would depart. "A dancing giant! how wonderful!" smiled the Duke gaily, clapping his hands with a big grin on his face.
  8. GM The glass woman tensed - and from her skin, ripples of shard-like glass swam, each razor sharp and frightening. "I love the singing. It is me" she said, voice shrill and spear-like. "Before, there was only cold memories, without feeling. Then, there was joy. I want nothing else" she said, firmly. "I care not for nothing else. There is nothing else". Once again, Replica's radar pinged. Someone - or perhaps something (clearly, one could never tell!) - was coming downt he stairs to the basement. "Boss, boss, you down here?" came a mans voice....a security guard!
  9. I'm Fiating that Diplomacy - a noble attempt, but its part of the plot! Replica - Unharmed - 2 HP
  10. GM "What! Whooo....uuuuhhh!" gasped the Mistress of Bones. She dropped her staff and staggered around theatrically, like a model-turned-actress trying to grab an oscar. To extend the analogy, such a model-turned-actress would have as much chance of catching said oscar as the mistress of bones would have of catching her breath. "...uh....wishbone...." she wheezed, before passing out with a thud and clonking her head on the stone floor for good measure. "Yippee!" declared Pixie, becoming visible and throwing her hands in the air.
  11. FOrt save vs Suffocate: 1d20+6 22 suffocated! First CON check (DC 10) CON check: 1d20+1 4 Unconscious! Presuming you arent maintaining that to disable / kill her, combat over!
  12. GM The golden beam of beamy goldness sizzled into Barrelhouse with an explosion of sizzling gold. The head dented almost imperceptibly. Gazooks! What was the giant robot made of? Impervium? Whatever metallurgical marvel it was constructed from, it seemed both completely impervious to heat and diamond-like to anything else. The scuttling robots scuttled up and scuttled down. They seemed essentially mindless. Possibly remote controlled (for at least one had scuttled off). The remaining ones seemed programme to protect and repair the Giant robot. They set about trying to bend and move the scaffolding back into place, for much of it had bent, and some of it had broken!
  13. Bad News: Ill let that mastermind fly, but split the difference of opinion cutting the bonus by 1, for a +2 bonus next round, +1 bonus the round after. ? Good News: Mastermind bonus applies to allies, and the masterminder (so both LH and Wadjet)! ? YOu cant realistically miss Barrelhouse, as it is immobile (possibly at range but it would still be a terrible roll to miss) so skiping straight to toughness: Tough Save vs LH: 1d20+15 28 Barrelhouse is a tough one and rolls well ? To finish off this round we have five scuttle bots. One will be dashing off. Two will try and grapple LH (one attack, aided), and the same for Wadjet Grapple Attacks: 2#1d20+9 18 24 meaning Wadjet is grappled. Opposed Grapple: 1d20+10 21 for grapple. Whilst the Scuttlebots bodies are a dozen feet above (incidentally, in range of a metal pole swipe if you want to wrench one out of the scaffolding), the arms are in melee range (albeit at slight penalty to hit as per elongation rules, so a +8 def). On that note, either LH or Wadjet can pick up a metal bar (or something similar according to your fancy like a chain or hammer) as a move action round here, as an improvised weapon. Could you throw me an opposed grapple for Wadjet as above and then... Round 3 (+2 MP Bonus!) 32 Lady H - Unharmed - 2 HP 24 Wadjet - Unharmed (NB: Flat footed / Climbing) 5 Scuttle Bots [4 in the fighht, One scuttling away] Barrelhouse (inactive)
  14. GM "You're mean! A mean meanie!" shouted the invisible Pixie. Of course, being invisible meant one could not see her. But if one could, through means arcane or mundane, they would see the short pixie rush through the air at a blisteringly fast, inhuman, speed, and give the mistress of bones a massive shove. "Take that, meanie!" Fast as she was, the Puzzle Pixie weighed next to nothing and was not possessed of strength. The Mistress got shoved rudely to one side, but leant on her staff and straighted up. "Cheat!" she proclaimed, quite irritated.
  15. For the Laze, I am keeping PP's init roll as she didnt use it last time MoB Init: Init: 1d20+5 21 Round 1: 32 - PP 22- Fax - Bruised X3 21 - Init - Unharmed Puzzle Pixie will try and trip the Mistress up! As she is invisible, she will be flat footed / surprised: and thus Puzzle Pixie cannot miss, even shifting for DC Trips: 2#1d20 3 11 but unfortunately, the Mistress of Bones survives the trip! Which means Fax is up.
  16. GM The Glass woman stood slowly, her body fluid. Initially, at least, she seemed unsteady but then seemed to get a grip of her body, and became balanced. Her voice was thin and mild, and had an unpleasant raspy sound. "I cannot say who I am, other than I am me. I do not know what me is" she said, slowly, uncertain, anxious. "I awoke to the sound of singing. I found my love. I shaped this form" she explained. "What help do I need? What help do you offer? I have no desire for help. I desire only my love...."
  17. GM Whilst the mistress of bones liked to talk, she was no fool. Just as Fax unleashed a bolt of electricity, she slammed forward her staff. For none had the drop on the other. If it was fire or ice she was firing, it would have met the lightning in the middle of the two, but as it was...well, the electric charge hit to her left, shrivelling some vines and leaves in a furious display of power. And at the same time, Alex felt a crunch in his pelvis; and not, it should be made quite clear, in any pleasurable way. No, for once again, it was the grind of bones twisting quite out of character....
  18. Ok so for a bit of fun, let us say the strikes happen simultaneously, as neither truly has the drop on the other. So another DC 25 Toughness Save And then initiative, please!
  19. Echohead "You mean...the club?" asked Echohead, taking a guess. "They did this to you? Needles and...other things?" Sharp eyes? Sounds scary! Sound like torture! He shuddered. "Sounds horrible. Sounds worse than horrible. Look, we are here to shut it down. Permenantly" he explained, more firmly. "Nobody should have needles. We aren't going to make you go back. But we need to go there, all the same..."
  20. GM "Boo hoo hoo" replied the mistress of bones, wiping away imaginary tears and looking like a bad hollywood actress mocking an awards ceremony. "Everybodies got a sad story. Woe is me. Look at how brave I am to overcome tradgedy and misfortune!" "Save it for your therapist, pal" she snapped back. "I'm not here to hurt. I'm here to not be hurt. And if I have to hurt to not be hurt, then so be it" she concluded in a rather clumsy, but passionate summary of her philosophy. "Now, do you want to break your left leg in crippling agony, or your right one?" she asked. "Choose wisely, or ill break them both!" "Your a meanie!" came an invisible voice. "Whose that!" said the mistress of bones, startled. "Not me. I mean. Nobody!" said the invisible voice. "Just the wind!" The mistress startled around again, before coming back to Fax. "Whose that! Answer or Ill break every bone in your body!"
  21. You cant realistically miss as far as I am concerned. As for master plan, "This requires at least a few minutes" is the rules for how long it takes?
  22. GM "Everyone wants power" replied the witch. "Or is lying if they say they do not. Who is truly content with an life ordinary? unexceptional? who does not wish to make their mark on the tapestry of history? Would you be a thread through which it is woven?" she asked. "You have power, and you are in no position to judge those who do not. "My vision is grand, my sight is far. I studied the occult, and found this staff and have the will to use it, to master it. I would not throw that away, no, I embrace it! just as you have embraced your fortune" "I have splintered and broken bones, this is true. Of the fit, healthy, and blessed. Not killed them, just tought them a lesson in fortune and misfortune. And in doing so, learned more. It is a knowledge I will use wisely!"
  23. GM And so... 'Twas not a tricky business to get in, despite the Duke's cunning artifices. Comrade Frost could merely float in, his gasous form slipping through the keyhole. Voin jumped through space to land nearly in the mansion. It was quite glorious, inside, full of antiques. The art selection was particularly impressive, even to one who knew little about art. Classic and expensive, they looked, for expensive and classic they were. But the biggest surprise came as the pair reached the drawing room. For there, being served tea and cake, was the Duke himself, a short rotund man of antique style and regally trimmed beard. In deep discussion about science with Dr. Sin himself!
  24. GM As Fax entered the tiny building, the Mistress of Bones spun round to meet his gaze. His shuffling feet kicked up dust and reverberations easily captured by the walls. "Persistant and bone headed" she commented. "And I should know about bones!" she added, brimming with pride. "I'd crack your head wide open just for your stupidity. A pleasure, it would be. But you are also in my way, and doubled is my reason for doing so" she threatened, waving her staff. "This place is full of power, can you not smell it? Bones under rich soil, buried with ritual and magic. If I can harness that, then nothing would stop me..." she explained, eyes glazing at the mere thought of such wealth.
