Interview with Royer the Voyeur… 1. Where are you from? Canterbury, England 2. How would you physically describe yourself? Fairly tall, redhead, sun kissed. 3. Does you have any distinguishing speech characteristics or recurring mannerisms? I have a good old upper class English accent, speaking the Queen’s English! 4. What’s your motivation? Save the world a bit. And have adventures! 5. What are your greatest strengths and weaknesses? My knowledge and academic background, my experience, and sense of adventure are my greatest strength. My greatest weaknesses is the Crow curse, magnified by that same sense of adventure! 6. What do you love? What do you hate? England and South America I love. And I have a passion for art and antiquities. I don’t hate much, perhaps ignorance. 7. How would you describe your mental and emotional state? Fairly solid, a bit feisty at times. However, the second sight can make me quite crazy! 8. What do you fear the most? The things I see beyond this world! 9. What is your greatest ambition? To discover the lost cities of Gold! 10. How does you feel about the state of the world and your place in it? It depends where you are in the world. There are some areas that are simply terrible, ravaged by war and corruption. But I think I am positive about the state of the world in general. My place in it is like everyone else’s, to make it a little bit better. 11. Do you have any prejudices? How do you get along with others? I don’t. If history has taught me anything its to accept lots of different cultures. I generally get on fine with most people. 12. Where do your heroes loyalties lie? In what order? I have a patriotic streak, but more than that I have a loyalty to the British Museum and all the people that work there. In fact, I am loyal to Museums and Universities all over the world! 13. Do you have a lover or partner? No 14. Do you have a family? What is the relationship there like? I have an extended family and many distant relatives. The relationship is mixed. It tends to be respectful and there is some loyalty to the family, but we are a mixed bag of feisty people, so there is always some friction. 15. How would the people closest to you describe you? Feisty, bold, adventurous. 16. Are you a role model? I think so. To get out there and explore the world! 17. How spiritual are you? I am technically Church of England but I am not practicing. I think quite deeply about existential issues but I do not believe in an omnipotent, benevolent God. 18. Are you part of a team, or you like to be? Why? No, and I have mixed feelings about that. I like companionship, and the bonds of friendship. But on the other hand I don’t want to be tied down. Perhaps a loose affiliation of like minded people would suit me better. 19. How do you feel about the place of metahumans and aliens on Earth? Potentially dangerous. They do need to be monitored and observed, like anything that powerful. 20. If you could give one piece of advice to yourself, what would it be? Better a day as a lion than a lifetime as a lamb.

GM A deep resonance came from the building, a frequency so low one could barely hear it. "Is it not marvellous? Block Head has created this building using metamasonry, not unlike his own body! And I have been able to fuse my psyche with it!" came the voice. It was of course quite different from Imprint's, but it was hers still the same. She had literally imprinted herself into the floor, walls, and ceiling of the self assembling building. "That woman got in the way. Very annoying. I'll show her. She can become part of the furniture!"
-
GM Mr. Brick looked rather taken aback when Mannequin appeared to apologise. "I..uh...yeah, sure" he muttered. "Look, I don't know much. Block Head turned up here a few days ago and started building like he was possessed, or something. He looked...disturbed. And frankly the central building is growing so fast I am getting worried. I think...I think its alive!" he explained, gulping. They were interrupted by a scream from outside. Dr Deoxy's telekentic power was tugging at Hattie, and normally of course he would have easily have the force to lift her up. But not when half her body was welded to the building itself. Pulling her out was just going to rip her in two. "Let go! Let go!" she groaned.
-
Diamondlight Things were happening fast, that was for sure. Diamondlight could vaguely recognise Miracle Girl, and was reassured by that. He had no idea who the amphibious creature was. That was not so reassuring. He had planned to try a little deception first, to work out what has happening, but that opportunity - and risk - was lost. Besides, they had lasers. Then again, so did he. In the blink of an eye, a dimly glowing silver forcefield lit up around him. Then, a burst of silver blue laser beams blossomed from his body, sweeping and piercing through the night air. "Scintillating!" he commented, before crouching behind a nearby rock. He hoped his eruption of light and lasers had thinned the odds. But it was wise to take cover nonetheless!
-
In that case! Free Action: Activate Force field Standard Action: Laser Beams! Targetted Area Burst Selective Damage 10 Effect! Hit me with those laser beams: 1d20+10 22 so should hit at least a few! Move Action: Take cover behind a rock!

Ok so who is left standing?

You are free from further saves already with that last IC post!

You can use Medicine skill (trained only, or Jack of All Trades) to diagnose DC 10 or wake up DC 15! Without a medical kit this would however be at -4.

GM The spinning and swirling of the air rattled many of the flotsam stored in the basement. Lamentably, a rather expensive bottle of Pinot Noir, already precariously balance, hit the floor and cracked seeping its fine juice over the dusty concrete floor and scattered rugs. Apart from this regrettable mishap, it all went smoothly. The air flowed in and out of the cellar area, freeing all from the noxious fumes. Although surely some of that sickly vapour would now seep into the main hall where the ballrooom music continued to beat. Whilst the cellar was free of the drug, its victims were not. They remained somewhat intoxicated, or frankly asleep. Between Victoria and Violet (Jon was quite sleepy and drugged it seemed, although he did manage to stumble back to the Backstage area) the addicts were being manhandled upstairs, but....even with the musicians playing on stage, there was a risk of being spotted...
-
GM "What, all five of them? I'm not Centurion, you know" sighed Violet, hand over her mouth. "I'll pass out before I get them all up..." She was not weak, but on the other hand was not hugely strong either. She did not complain further, however, and started pulling one of the girls up towards the Backstage area. "We need a better plan. Someones going to come backstage sooner or later" she offered, perhaps redundantly. Poor Jonathon, on the other hand, was already looking pale and soporific. "I can help!" he said with a woozy grin on his mouth, although it looked like he could barely stand. The bubbling brew simmered more gently off the heater, and Victoria found a heap of old kitchen roll that she could scrunch up and put an reasonably effective stopped on the glassware. Whilst helpful, the sweet atmosphere was still swirling; there was not a lot of air circulation here...
-
Ill give a +2 bonus for that, but its still absorbed!
-
GM The fat man gasped, dropping his machete and clutching at his throat. His eyes looked ever more glazed and he struggled and shook, gasping for air. "Wha...what...." he spluttered, trying to force air into his lungs. His cigarette was on the floor, and his fingers were nicotine stained. His lungs were clearly not in great condition at the best of times, but in this smoky and sickly air of the basement, what function they had was diminished still further. He gave one mighty wheeze and then was out cold...
-
That hits (he is drugged)! At this stage he is too drugged to resist, so I will say he is suffocating! On the down side, everyone here Must make a Fort 12 Save or get drugged too (Nauseate Power)! Whilst relatively mild for now, its a new save at +1 DC every minute, and recovery is 1 minute rather than 1 round.
-
Thats fine by me! (no need for spoiler?)

GM Down in the basement... There were things that should be in a basement, like wine bottles and tools. But that was essentially irrelevant. The pungent odour came from a gently fuming glass beaker over an electric heater, a purple liquid bubbling softly. In it, some strange herbs were dissolving slowly. Five persons, filthy, emaciated, dehydrated, were lying around on rugs and soft cushions, either asleep or nearly so. Victoria could recognise two of them as the girls Jon was so desperately looking for. A fat man, bare chested, bald, and strong, smoking a cigarrette, was not quite so asleep but he certainly looked drugged and sleepy. He fumbled for a machete by his side as Violet and Victoria came in. "Hmmwf...what, time to play again? Who you want this time? wait.,...who are you?" he mumbled, eyes not focused properly.

GM And so, through the skies the good Doctor went. From a superior vantage he could spy the entire building site. The central building, that Block Head had been building, was certainly looking bigger. Like a virus, it was spreading out through the entire site. And there...and there... The central building was active. Moving, rearranging itself. It was growing taller. It was eating the surrounding buildings to grow bigger. To parasitically consume them. And deep within the Central Building, through half build ceilings, Dr Deoxy could spy Block Head, constructing and deconstructing at full speed, shifting heavy masonry and building materials with full concentration.... and often going to and from the basement. But near the entrance, Dr Deoxy could spy a large woman, strong and tall, groaning. She seemed to be unconscious, just inside the building's main entrance hall....and holding a mighty sledgehammer.

GM "Sure, sure. Ill deal with the numpty" sighed Zyte. "Gods know why I took Chill Pills case on. I had been trying for ages to get an angle on a Superhero reality film. Like, not easy, you know?" he groaned and his misfortune. "I just leapt at the chance when he approached me. Turns out I get the nutcase" "But Ill go see if I cant placate him. Maybe film him handing out iced pop to the kids" he sighed again, walking away. "You got yourself an expert that can handle it?" asked Gibbons, mopping his perpetually perspiring brow. "I sure would be happy to see the back of it, especially after what happened to Vasquez..."
-
GM "Hmmm, yes, point taken" admitted Zyte. "Ancient. Well, I am afraid I don't know anyone ancient. Except my accountant. He is practically a zombie" he replied. "Could we destroy it, theatrically? Like throw it into a volcano or something?" he suggested. "Or dissolve it in a pool of acid?" At that moment, Bonfires phone rung. Armitage... "Hello? Hello? Just checking in" said Armitage down the line. "I am with Drake, she is stalling. I do not trust her, but equally she may be without the mask" he whispered. "What news of you? Is that odious little runt Zyte disposed of?"

Diamondlight The History of the Zoss Family Pre WW2: The Zoss family have been known in Switzerland (and the surrounding area) as a successful mercantile family since the 18th Century, dealing in textiles initially but moving into food and wines. Their reputation was of moderate success and reasonably fair play, without being noteworthy for infamous or noble reason. Rudolf Zoss Rudolf Zoss was a noted businessman who prospered during world war 2 dealing in illicit goods and contraband. Whilst not a cruel man, he took advantage of the situation in a somewhat opportunistic way. During this time he stored goods and treasures acquired by Captain Gunther Spitzweg, a military man of considerable intelligence and interest in the Thule Society (and all things occult). Throughout world war 2, particularly in the latter years, Gunther was using Rudolf to scurry away treasured he has acquired in Africa for his own personal fortune (thus avoiding them being siphoned off to feed the Nazi Party coffers). A prize possession was a powerful Daka crystal he had acquired in his African operations. When World War 2 ended, Spitzweg was missing in action, presumed dead. This meant that Rudolf Zoss had access to the acquired goods, and he used them – bar the Daka crystal which was kept as a family fortune. Doctor Henri Zoss. Henri Zoss went into medicine, specialising in immunology. His father, Rudolf, kept the business going but became increasing frail and elderly and this fortunes of the Zoss family waned considerably during this time. Henri Zoss married the love of his life, Anna Zoss, in the family manion when he was a young man in his twenties. They were completely entwined, and the only sadness for them was that they only had one child, Auguste Zoss. In 2015, Anna Zoss became seriously ill with a degenerative disorder that was quite mysterious. Henri devoted his time and energy to trying to save his wife, and in desperation experimented with the Daka crystal, modifying its energies to preserve and sustain life itself. Despite every effort, it was only a partial success. He managed to keep his beloved wife alive for two more years before she died. Henri was heartbroken, a complete wreck. His own health was now failing due to his obsessive experimentation, and he had to resort to using his own partially successful experiments on himself. Even so, he was wasting away, dying from a broken heart. Auguste Zoss/Diamondlight In 2015, Henri Zoss, progressively frail, showed his son, Auguste, the Daka crystal and its energies. Explaining its history, Auguste was uncharacteristically furious, and deemed the crystal ruinous. He threw it into the lake by the family mansion. The shockwave feedback infused him with the bio-energies Henri had been experimenting with. This act empowered Auguste, who proceeded to take the name Diamondlight, keeping the origin of his power quite secret. The Daka crystal continues to reside in Switzerland in the family home, keeping Henri Zoss alive although he continues to be extremely frail. Academic Qualifications Diamondlight did very well extending his student life – he wanted to study, but more importantly he wanted to explore Europe and immerse himself in that lifestyle for most of his twenties. He has thus obtained degrees in: Psychology: Cambridge University, Trinity. European Law: Université Libre de Bruxelles Economics (And Masters in Multinational Economic Theory): Paris School of Economics Daka Bioenergetics Diamondlight has been permanently infused with Daka crystal energy. There is no known limit to this energy, presumably he is recharged somehow, possibly by normal metabolism or from background cosmic radiation. He is able to manifest this energy is glowing silver-blue light from his body. This energy can produce light, including lasers, or force constructs such as forcefields. He is also able to use this energy to distort light, giving him invisibility providing he does not move quickly (such movement makes the distortion obvious). It is the shining quality of this energy, and its colour, that he has termed “DIamondlight”. The term thus both refers to himself and the energy he transmits. A particular focus to Diamondlight is when he uses it through his eyes, allowing very long range, penetrating laser beams. Operations Diamonlight is wealthy. The Zoss fortunes have been waning for fifty years but are still substantial. Whilst he technically resides in his home town in Switzerland, in the family mansion, he is more usually abroad either on pleasure or business – or very often, a mixture of the two. Whilst he makes a fair bit of money gambling (due to his world class skill in this), he is also intent on reviving the family fortunes, and is investing in real estate, and in particular, hotels, entertainment and catering venues. In between such excursions and transitions, or more accurately woven in, he operates openly as Diamondlight. He does not advertise his powers, but he has decided not to conceal them either.

GM Jon had been trying to get more information out of Sunset. A passionate man, he was clearly starting to irritate Sunset who was become vexed. "I told you all I know, man. Back off" he said through gritted teeth, getting angry. As Alexander snuck through the back stage door, he was greeted by the sight of a dead woman in chains on the floor, and Violet and Victoria just opening the trap door. "It's not how it looks!" started Violet. "I mean it is but...eww! what's that smell!!!" From the trap door came a sickly sweet aroma that felt soporific. It was almost pitch black down there, and the smell of sweet and pungent herbs whafted upwards quite powerfully.

GM And so... As it turned out, a car was not practical. Dreadnought was sleeping in a most remote area. A four wheel drive might have struggled across the terrain, but a helicopter was simply more practical. And Mr. Murk has insisted the ministry was kept out as the matter a far as feasible. The helicopter pilot, Nicknamed "Duchess" was a friendly study woman with a shaved head and extremely cool mirrored sunglasses. She had an enormously powerful laugh, but despite this trumpet in her lungs, she was very discreet. "Hey, Erasmus Murk has used me for over ten years. He pays well and treats me well. I just fly the chopper!" she explained, and she did so quite expertly. They were soon over the resting place of Dreadnnought, hovering over the hills. "Want me to fly off or wait for you?" asked Duchess.

Done! Post away. Incognito: 2 HP
-
That would probably be improvised tools - so sure, but at a -4 penalty. On the flip side, its a pretty standard rubbish padlock so DC 15 The padded case however is a seriously more up to date number; DC 25 EDIT: As you are not under fire etc you can take 10 on this, but taking 20 might push your luck timewise. Also, you can of course spend an HP to get the improvised tool feat for this action (eliminating the penalty above).

Mr Murk "I am pleased to hear it, Comrade" smiled Mr Murk nodding at the words. "I confess Wales is a dreary place for me. I understand its rolling green hills are quite beautiful to behold but this of course is of no consequence for me. For me, it is a land of uneven surfaces that seem to conspire to trip me over and break my nose. It is a climate of cold wet rain that does not even have the delicate chill of snow. I am, it must be said, not a fan" he said, frowning. "But at least a man of your constitution will not mind the cold rain!" he said, more cheerfully. "And you, Voin? would you go forward with this investigation? I can arrange transport. A helicopter, if you wish? Although you may wish to take road or rail. I understand the train journey is quite pleasant...."
