GM "Mutant Zombie Outbreak. At least, thats what I call it. Mitochondrial RNA modification. Dead cells, reanimated. Highly infectious." She took a breath, gasping from the shouting. "Do you want to go an discuss metabolic pathways? I have plenty of time, but I'm not stopping and frankly neither should you." She put a little extra juice into the snowmobile to emphasise the point. "Or you can go back and firebomb the place. Save the world, that kind of thing. You look like a hero. I'm just a coward. But honestly, if you knew what I know about viral replication, you would probably call me realistic instead!"

Gamma Buzz "Oof!" said bazz as he got clonked by one of the soldiers, right in the jaw. "Is that all you got, hombre? I think you forgot about my amazing Cockroach armour! It would take the force of a very hard punch to break through my unbreakable armour plates!" He jumped again, fast, accurate, landing on the side of a nearby building. "Why don't you... lighten up!" His eyes glowed a moment, before a beam of green radiation swept through the street, mowing down the shadow squad. "Get that, Mi... I mean Golden... I mean Golden star! Lighten up! Eh? Eh? Get it?"

Baz has a hardy Fort save as befits a cockroach 19 so makes the fatigue 19 for toughness so that makes a bruise (and injury?) For his action going to leap to a nearby building as a move action (clinging on with wall crawling) and do a laser vision sweep catching whoever he can in! Thats an Area effect again, DC 18 Reflex and then DC 23 or 19 Toughness (Damage 8 effect). Not sure if it would qualify as light as its a blurred area between light and radiation. Whatever you think suits!

Haven Despite every effort to steel his digital nerves, Haven took a step back, buffeted by the booming voice. He paused, took breath (not that he needed air), straightened his ties and reorientated himself. Max Mars. The Wizard of Oz. Haven had never read the book, or watched the film, but he knew the story. Oz was no magician - he was a fraud. A masterful, clever, ingenious fraud. But no wizard. Still, this was the world of the digital. "Haven," he said. "You may have heard of me. You may have heard of Milo Mikano. And you are Max Mars." He brought his fingers together. "I have heard wind that you are trading something dangerous. Something you shouldn't be trading at all."

GM "I'm a member of that station, idiot!" She flashed an ID badge. It was hard to see in the snow, with the snowmobiles, but Archer had good eyesight. It looked genuine, but it would need close examination to tell if it was a forgery or not. Dr J. Janis. Biomedical Research. WEST. Clearance level Beta "How about you get your ass out of here! There's a containment breach. Biohazard. Unless you are a robot or a zombie, I would get yourself well out of range." She pointed at the horizon. "And get yourself away from me too! For all I know, I'm infected. Going to go and wait in the snow ranges. See if I go symptomatic." She pointed back at WEST station, still driving. "Go and be a hero if you want. Save the world. Or turn into a mutant zombie trying. I'm not telling you not to go, but I won't stop you if you want to kill your idiot self. Probably do the world a favour, moron!"

Lament "I guess Satan is a busy man," said Luther. "Especially in Vegas." Now weren't that the truth. But somehow, Luther had a soft spot for Vegas; the evil might have been hidden under a glamour of lights and, well, glamour - but Vegas never pretended to be something it wasn't. It was good, it was evil, all rolled into a throw of a dice or the slice of a deck. And to a good tune with dancing girls. In any case, he was glad the car stopped. Where were they? Probably in the middle of a desert. "Ready to see it? you bet..." He got ready to feel the barrel of a gun or the point of a knife in his back.
-
Lament It took a lot to rattle Luther LeGrasse, and even more to rattle Lament - but rattled he was. That voice, that sound, seem to crack through his ribs and into his heart. Just nerves... he told himself. The prospect of an overfed and lethargic void was unpleasant. It was like being in a gunfight and suddenly finding your revolver was firing blanks. And, by the looks of things, a gunfight might well be his fate. Luther had never seen so many firearms in one place. I really don't like guns. The thing about nerves was to hide them. He rapped the side of the van and called out to the driver. "Everything ok? Sounds like Satan himself popped up. Maybe he wants in on the joy action too? Hahaha..." Not the best joke. But then, the response would be telling.

Gamma Buzz "That's right, baby!" said Baz, still alive with lingering fury from the "gross" comment. "I'm Grand Wizard Gamma of the Awesome order of Buzz!" The radiation faded and contracted, but Baltazar had different plans. This lady didn't like light, it seemed - and he was going to shine. He jumped in the air, flipping, landing into a cartwheel by her feet, and stood up - all in one fast, fluid movement. Reaching out into his radioactive core, Baltazar let loose the inferno. For one second, the street lit up with a dazzling burst of green light.

ok, Baz going to jump right to snowfall and unleash a controlled Light burst (Catching as many people in as possible without reaching G Star). Hopefully with him positioning himself and able to control the area that will be most or all of them. Its a Dazzle 8 effect, Area Burst so DC 18 Reflex for area effect and then DC 18/14 Reflex for Dazzle (Evasion may help etc) Visual and Radio dazzle but I doubt they have radio senses! I imagine Light and Radiation descriptors
-
33 for initiative!
-
Baz cant hope to match that! Its rank 5 Also: Just checking. He can mix and match environments so he isnt causing a radiation environment, just heat and light (although thats moot at this point). I think he will probably go for a radiation burst - dazzle (light and radio senses) in a moment, but perhaps when combat starts (if it does, of course).

Lament "Sure, I can respect a hustle. How do you think I got bags of money?" asked Luther, laughing. It wasn't entirely untrue, either. He had been a wily fox as a youngster. "The Wire is a great show," he added, wondering why the crook had chosen that as a benchmark. Drugs, sure. But lots of crooks and lots of violence, too. "Why, you wearing a wire?" he asked with a laugh. The problem was no much more tricky. How long was an episode. About an hour. That was cutting things very tight. "Just put a bag over my head and put me in the front," he said. The plan was to bump into this goon and plant the missing keys on him, loosely, so they would fall out. Ye gods! What a pickle!

Computer Hacking and Books together will point to "Goldfire", a limited company, moving rather large amounts of cash through Bedlam. The Company is, essentially, smuggling, although whether they could actually be convicted of that is dubious. What are they smuggling? Gold! Also you can tell that they are purchasing rather large amounts of weaponry from the profits. Furthermore, Goldfire is not merely a company, but a person. Various posing photographs are on the computer - all of the same man - the disco dancer, who goes by the name of "Goldfire". The Search finds the keys to the weapons locker taped under a desk

GM Archer managed to pull up close to the woman, driving parallel to her. She knew how to handle the vehicle, but Archer simply had better reflexes and a certain boldness - elegantly jumping over slopes and weaving between rocks without losing any speed. Up close, he could see the driver was middle aged - flecks of grey in her hair, a determined look in her face. "Back off!" she shouted at him, over the roar of the engines and the falling of snow. "This is a free country. I am going for a ride! I'm not breaking any law, and I'm not stopping. In fact, you are harassing me and driving dangerously! I will be reporting you to the local police, I will!"

More than enough to catch up! And do some artistic spraying of snow in slow motion to the sound of the bond theme.

Gamma Buzz "Oppressive Patriarchy?" said Baz, scratching his head. "You should go take a look at the drug Cartels in Mexico if you want to find an oppressive patriarchy, lady!" He paused, a moment of inspiration hitting his chaotic brain. He leaned over to his friends and raised his hand to give a conspiratorial whisper. "Wait... does she think this is real? like, Kings and Queens and all that jazz? I don't know my history, except for kung fu obviously, but wasn't it all like an oppressive patriarchy back then?" As far as Baz was concerned, the USA was neither oppressive or patriarchal, at least by his standards. The drug cartels of Mexico had raised the bar pretty high when it came to oppression - and patriarchy for that matter. "And more importantly, when do we blast her?"

Pitch "Lady Malagra, eh? Well I know all about her!" said Pitch, who knew nothing at all about Lady Malagra. But damned if the damned were going to know that. She raised an eyebrow and a smile at Featherweight. "Did you bring your ten foot wooden pole to test for traps?" Gambling was fun, but a game of Russian Roulette? Pitch's spinal tattoo gave her unnatural resilience, but she wasn't quite bulletproof. A gun to her temple? That was something she didn't fancy testing. Still, the die was cast, and she would play along. "Russian Roulette? excellent idea!" she said, and spun to Betsy, mouthing are you mad?

GM "Alice Liddel! Yes!" It was hard to ready Moyd's expression - love, hate, fear, all seemed to fight a war on his face, within his green eyes, until he snapped himself back to the present. "Yes. Alice Liddel. You could say I was her... well, you could say I am related to you, in a way. With your family, it is so hard to tell what is real from what is not. I am not sure what real even means. If you experience it, it is real. Cogito ergo sum, I think..." He gazed around the room with the slumbering bodies. "What madness is this? Tell me! And who are you, Adrianna Liddel? I know your name, I know your heritage. But I don't know you... a dreamer, too? But tell me, what do you dream of? What do you... desire?"

GM Luther felt the grip of guilt in his chest. These were not men deserving of much sympathy, and Luther, whilst kindly enough, was not a kindly man. But still - a death sentence? This was rapidly turning from joy to crap. An hour. I'd better wrap this up fast then! "Where are we going?" he asked as he climbed into the SUV. "And how long will it take? I get car sick, you see..." This was not a total lie. He did have a tendency to get travel sick, on extended journeys, and it was exacerbated by not driving or having a good view of the road. Still, it was hardly the worst of his problems. Luther hated guns, but he found himself wondering if, in extremis, he could snatch an SMG, even a pistol, if he needed to fight his way out of it. Better than his bare fists. He suddenly realised he was scared! More scared than he had been since the Void bonded to him.

Using gamma array to irradiate the ground with heat and light (extreme) Environmental Control 5 (100’ Radius, Extreme Heat, Extreme Light, Heavy Radiation, Extras: Independent [+0], Feats: Selective [Mix and match effects], Slow Fade 6, one day, Flaws: Range [touch]) 32 PP “Irradiate Ground” Baz will lower the half life to 1 hour (rather than 1 day) fade. Just in case citizens want to return to their homes within a week!

Gamma Buzz "Screw her!" shouted Baz, giving a Cockroach-plated finger to Scutum. The perceptive might have noted that Gamma Buzz's huge red eyes were coated with green radioactive tears. His fury was soon cooled, almost literally, by the darkness and snow. "Hey, this isn't any good, is it? It actually looks pretty bad..." He quickly whipped the crystal behind his back. "What buzzing crystal? We don't have a buzzing crystal. We never seen one, and we never will. In fact, we don't even know what you are talking about. Crystal? Pfft! The very idea that we have a crystal which we don't have!" He looked around at the encroaching darkness and snow. "This is a cold welcome. Obviously we need to lighten the place up with some good old fashioned harmless lethal radiation!" he said, as the ground beneath his feet started to glow green.

Gamma Buzz "Whoa!" Baltazar's worst fear was now manifest; it paralysed him. His jabbering jaw, so used to a stream of consciousness defence, was momentarily slack. His antenna trembled, his eyes blushed red. He placed hand on chest, turned his head and, in regal pose, pronounced - "It is the Cockroad... KID, Madam! In fact... it is the AMAZING Cockroach kid... that is AMAZING!" He clenched his fist and screamed. "AMAZING, D'ya hear!" Full of impotent rage, he blasted the tarmac of the road. "GAMMA BUZZ, BABY!" he shouted, carving the words into the street with his laser vision.

Lament Luther didn't trust this man as far as he could throw a dried up dog turd (which was actually pretty far, he knew, from a childhood prank that is best left untold) - he remained on his guard, but carried on with his bluster out of momentum. "Yah, sure. I want a piece of the action!" A loaded statement, "Action". It was only when he confidently strutted after the dealer, keen to find out the mysterious source of joy, that a very cold and hard worry hit him in the gut. If the Void was sated, the Void would not feed. And if the Void would not feed, then Luther would be unable to call upon the soul-sucking powers that he relied on to rip through these goons. He would be left to his wit and will, and the sap tucked in his belt under his shirt, to face of an army of drug dealers with automatic weapons!
