GM "Haunted? I guess so..." Rocky paused, pressing his fists to his temples. "You know about Wharton Forest? All sorts of spooky legends. Native Americans did some shamanistic voodoo here. Zombies. Werewolves. That kind of stuff. You got any Shaman senses? Your ancestors calling to you?" Rocky stared around, taking in the canopy of leaves. "I feel... tired, here. This place sucks me. Like its feeding on me. Not a bad thing, when you are a ball of rage and sweat." He sighed deeply, looking ten years older.

GM Ping! The elevator doors peeled open. A regular elevator inside, steel, lit with red light, empty. The controls indicated two floors below them. "REC" and "RESEARCH". Despite the beeping alarms, there was no rush of soldiers, no swarm of security. The flashing red lights continued pinging, but the initial blaring "INTRUDER ALERT" had stopped. No security - but what, or whoever, was in the base had clearly been alerted...

Snakebite "A liar, is he?" Cassie raised an eyebrow. Baiyun might be a liar, but so might this lady. As for the Yeti's. She had never met one, but she had seen enough reports that it was, at the very least, plausible that they existed. She hoped she had enough sedative darts.... maybe, if she was really lucky, she could capture one! She frowned the thought out of her head. She was here to rescue, not capture Yeti's. But if the opportunity presented itself... She took the rope, with thanks, and headed off to the Silver Yak, mulling over the clues. Baiyun, Fenzan. These were the characters she needed to speak to.

Bloody Mess Freddy was a veteran of hundred of brawls, but this was more like a war - and one he was losing track of. Perhaps he had been tilted by missing what he had thought was a killer upcut. Perhaps there was just too many people to keep track of. "Nuff!" he grunted, and jumped into the air, landing on a building roof, balancing on the edge. He expanded his chest, drew back his mighty pumped up arms, livid with supercharged blood... and... BOOM! He slammed his hands together, creating a blast that rippled down to the streets below!

Snakebite "Ill by both," replied Cassie. No joke, either. She had a wad of 100 dollar bills in her jacket. And some gold sovereigns in a strap in her backpack as back up. Even out in the great outdoors, off the beaten path, it was good to have currency. And the Crow family - at least usually - plenty. She went to the meat seller first, sniffing the produce to check it was reasonably fresh. For the most part, in her experience, rural meat sellers usually sold fresh produce. You didnt make a living giving people food poisoning. Fresh, but often a lot of off cuts and gristle. She brought out a picture of the missing professor. "Have you seen this man?" she asked, as she haggled for meat. It wouldnt harm to have a few cuts to cook over a campfire later...

GM "Ice Cream? Whats that?" Mr Metal licked his ice creamed lips. "Is this Ice Cream? Its poo!" he muttered (althugh he tried some more, of course). "Its... like made of water. Rust!" He spat it out. "I'm just having fun. Sneaking out of my dimension into yours, so I have can have some fun. Its boring in my home. Everything metal. This place has so much more stuff. Like hydrogen. And nitrogen. So exciting!" He shook his head. "So I'm going to have some fun. And you aren't going to tell my parents, right? That would be so uncool..."

Enough to make him pause... but not win him over!

GM And so... ...Later.... ...In Wharton State Forest Rocky pulled up his moderately expensive car on the outside of the forest. The sun was getting low, but it was not dark. The daylight streamed through rich and tall trees, creating a dazzling speckling of orange beams. Rocky flexed his hands into fists as he got out the car, heading into the woods as if pulled on a lead. "Something in here... it calms me. But never sates me. The Forest is like... like when you relax and feel sleepy, but cant sleep. Like a rest which doesnt refresh you..." He turned back to Jack with a pained smile. "Maybe thats how it is, huh? No rest for wicked thoughts...." He looked like his eyes were hollowed, exhausted. But then he turned back and headed in deeper to the forest.

Haven There was disruption. Orange sparks, flying from oscillating chrome squares. Haven was hurt. It hurt. Yes, it was only projected electronic data. But Haven was intimately linked to the data. And it hurt. Perhaps organic hackers wouldnt feel the feedback so bad. they might not feel it at all. But he did. He dropped to one knee, trying to keep his data-architecture together. "Wait..." he said, voice blurring and flat. "I'm not here to hurt you. But to help you..." A pathetic bluff. But it was all he could do.

GM Mr Metal took the blow fairly solidly - almost too solidly. His liquid fluxing state was just a bit too solid at that moment. On the flip side, whilst he was unharmed, he still took the force of the blow. He was small, but heavy - but a blow from Dwayne was enough to unbalance the already unbalanced. Mr Metal flipped on his head and tumbled down to the street, twenty feet below, with a resounding thud. For some reason, he had landed on an ice cream vendor, and smahed the the thing into a crumpled mess. The fridge hummed furiously, trying to keep up with the carnage. Mr Metal hismelf had ice cream splattered over his body, and wore a cornetto cone on the top of his head - making him look like the dunce he clearly was.

OK Mr Metal will fall to the ground in response, so lets move out of combat - ish (if you want to jump down and follow up - please do )

GM the Strobe lights whizzd passed the Albino, their lights flickering on the waxy skin. And the ... thing... paused, trembling. A hypnotic trance? A Catatonic State? Maybe. Maybe not. The tremulous flesh started to peel, burn. And then the thing... EXPLODED! Huge chunks of fleshy globules fountained into the air. Amongst them, one could vaguely see things that were probably human organs. But not human as we know them. A more immediate concern for the Archer was the spray of semi-solid goo that flew his way...
-
Just hits, with a DC 17 Save 11 on save, so fully paralysed. And the Albino proceeds to explode! Could you throw me a DC 20 Fort Check from the goo. You can use Evade on that (DC 20)

GM "Him?" replied Rocky, screwing up his face and landing a spit on the unconscious man. "Never seen him before. Maybe some crazy fan. He said something about... what was it... why I never let the anger out? Pfft. He should see me backstage. I got plenty of rage. But you gotta pop a cork in it, you know? That's what I sing about. Bottled up rage. Twenty first century malaise." "Look, I really need to chill. Somethings eating at my nerves in the city. I'm gonna head out to the forest. Want to come? My new security guard?"

All corrected (dropped one Alt Power) Snare Perception Range: The idea is as you say. Its not a beam or a spark - its like perception range transform. A bit like an Earth telekenetic might have a perception range snare by perception range telekenesis of the ground below the target? "Instantly" is a bit strong, but basically the idea is that Spore can massively (millions of times increase) the growth of any fungus. Hence - magic mushroom snare. Reflex roll still allowed of course, but its not something she has to aim - just see.

Thats a solid hit, and... 23 he just makes it! Could you post that IC?

GM "Whoa?! You are a Shaman?" said Rocky, leaping to conclusions. "I mean, like a real one? You should come and do some blessing on my new album. Sacrifice a goat, or something. I could do with the sales..." Rocky Rockson was doing ok sales wise. But no more than ok. A perpetual B lister, acknowledged but not lauded. And with insidiously slipping sales from his third album onwards. "What's it whisper?" Here, he grew conspiratorial. "How I've been a victim. Injustice. How other people have got the better of me. Taken advantage. You know that feeling, right? When something goes wrong, and you can't do anything about it? When you dig your nails into your palms, wanting to let your fists fly but you know you can't?"

Snakebite "577, Got it," said Snakebite, thumb up. The air was crisp and clean. Mountains were not her regular territory; that would be jungle heat. But she still knew how to handle them. Dress up warm, for one thing. She slung her backpack over her shoulder - medical kit, food, water, tent. Heavy, perhaps, but Cassie was stronger than she looked. A lot stronger. And by her belt, her pistol and whip. One could never be to careful. The problem was the Himalayas were big, and easy to get lost in. If there wasn't a clue in the village - then it would be like finding a needle in a haystack. But it was worth the effort. Not just for the lives in danger, but for the ancient mysteries that might be discovered. So determined, she launched her booted feet towards the village. "Hello? Hello?" she called out. She had some US dollars to spare, if she needed to loosen tongues....
