  1. Enough to give a rough aproximation of time period (19th Century)
  2. GM "I should reckon you should put it down, Sir. That right there is a national monument. Lord Nelson himself Sir!" said the captain, puffing out his chest. "Now I daresay this is a most irregular business, Sir. What with the destruction of a landmark and you, being person most involved in such an incident, would be a person of great interest into our inquiries of so mentioned incident, so on and soforth and what not!" he said, with growing indignation. "Cut it out sarge! Look at him! Like a bloomon' battleship he is!" whispered a private. "nonsense lad! That there him is my promotion, so he is!" hissed back the captain. "So sir, I would like you accompany back to the yard. Scotland yard that is. To answer a few questions on national security and so on!" said the Captain to Dreadnought. "And be so kind as to place that national treasure on the ground. All peaceful like. Can't be having his Nelsonship, Lord disbeing respected!" he babbled, confidence quite inappropriately growing in the face of the giant.
  3. GM There were screams and gasps, and gasps and screams, for this was quite beyond the normal experience, even in London town. What was this? Giants falling from the skies and smashing up national monuments. 'Twas no surprise when half the crowds of tourists and locals and gentry and riff raff turned heel and ran. Some praised God, and ran too. Some praised the Queen of England, the Empress of India, Victoria! but ran too. Many just stood aghast, not knowing what to do in such exceptional circumstance. A few scattered applause broke out, but did not catch on. Peep peep! went the whistle, as a small number of Coppers rushed to the scene and blew shrilling whistles to announce their arrival. "Whats going on here then? Defacing a national monument?" asked one bold, portly, and senior copper, twirling his baton.

GM "I flughdee Murghfrup..." muttered Flare as she slumped to her knees. Her head slowly slid downwards, chin to sternum. She was out cold. She had a few jerks of her arm. "Ibrm Stab! blubghjrr..." she mumbled, before the fingers went limp and the knife clattered to the floor. Impressively, she had passed out cold against the wall, slumped in a kneeling position that almost looked grateful. "Ooh you are a pesky 'lil devil! Fast, too. Like a mouse!" proclaimed Snowbird outside. She turned a dial on her ice gun, and let rip a massive stream of ice that kicked back the gun. She was unable to control the weapon outside its safety settings, and the ice spewed this way, then that. It sparked slightly. There was a vague smell of ozone. "Gosh darn it!" swore Snowbird, before giving the Bird of Arms a salute and dashing in, with mighty hops of several feet, into the Casino to see the carnage of ice and fire therein...
  5. Lets sweep the minions first - area attack on them.

So with Flare out, Snowbird will try fire a big old blast of Ice at Birdy, using extra effort and thus damaging the gun. With her move action she will dash into the Casino proper. Megaice at Bird of Arms: 1d20+10 13 misses.

  9. GM London, 1850 'Twas a most chilly London night. The Yuletide season had kicked off with a dusty snow that was already becoming black from the machinations of London. A frost in the air, an ice on the roads. The sun was lost in grey clouds and all in all it was a cold, bleak day. Such grim and grime as there was (and verily, it was plentiful) was soon interrupted by a crashing sound at Leicester square, followed by a splashing sound. Victim of the Darwin-XC virus (a chronologically infused variant of that most potent viral agent), the massive hulk of Dreadnought came crashing through time itself, slap bang (yay, a bullseye in this matter) in the middle of the nineteenth century without warning or preamble. There was a crunch as he collided with Nelson's column to most ruinous effect, and a splash as he cut through ice into the fountains and pond beneath. Whatever disorientation such violent motion may (or may not) have caused, 'twas nought but a second until all could see the mighty column of Nelson crack and start to fall, breaking at midpoint. And screams from those about to be crushed my the mighty masonry!

GM Snowbird was slight of frame, a gangly woman. But she was a lot stronger than she looked. A lot stronger. No human could possibly that strong. She was stronger than bird of arms. Snowbird might have been her name, but her muscles burned with inhuman power. As strong as an ox, she was! "Haha! All those muscles and you can't even pin me down!" she laughed as she shoved him away with frightening strength. "Even lil' old me got ya beat, angel!" she said with a gay little laugh. One could almost imagine she did a little tap dance in the snow as she mocked him.

  12. Rev "They are? Awesome!" said Rev, a big grin on her face. This was luxury! She wasn't exactly born to poverty. Both her parents had jobs, although not well paid ones. But since her father died and she went of the rails, life had been pretty chaotic. And that included money. She had had a vague unspoken idea bubbling in the background of her brain; that this would a school of rich kids and she would be the loser. Hell, bullying happened everywhere. For any number of excuses. She had never had it happen to her. But she had seen it happening, and didn't want to be the hard end of it. "Well, sounds like double everything with a side portion of everything then!" she grinned. "And maybe a hundred sit ups afterwards to stop it settling where it shouldn't! you did say there was a gym here, right?"

GM Flare clunked to one side and stumbled halfway across the kitchen. If the nitrogen was not freezing her boots to the floor she would have keeled over. As it is she stumbled straight into a rack of pans and pots, and ended up wearing a colander on her head in the style of a drunken Pastafarian. "Bluh...that all youbl gotttsh?" she mumbled, barely coherent. Her face was already swelling from the blow. She waved her knife around ineffectually, her brains not quite caught up with the action, on account of them dancing around the inside of her skull. And outside... Snowbird spent a second studying her agile and skilled opponent. She noticed him weave, and went to kick him... ...and instead fired a beam of freezing white light from her gun, ready to encase the winged hero in a block of ice cold ice!

Toughness Save vs Spitfire Fist: 1d20+3 17 a fail by 9 so another bruise and dazed! Back outside, Snowbird will try, as a move action, to Feint BoA: Feint BoA: 1d20+1 21! And then try to Snare BoA in a block of ice cold ice! Snare BoA: 1d20+10 22 which will hit if BoA misses his save vs the feint. If it does hit, its a Snare 10 effect (Reflex DC 20)
  15. Ronin Mobsters didn't belong in Nancy Street. Hell, they don't belong anywhere but doing time behind bars...but especially, they didn't belong in Nancy Street. He had no idea who was fighting them. But an enemy of mine enemy.... With a flash he twisted the choke on Katana, flicked a switch, and set the gun. "The Hornet's Nest..." he said softly. The astute may have heard, and wondered of its meaning. But this soon became apparent when he squeezed the trigger. Out of Katana flew a swarm of buzzing pellets, ready to bruise and batter any in their path...
  16. in which case, Hornets Nest on the cloud! Area attack (cone), Damage 6 effect (or damage 3 against any foes with protection power or undercover vests etc). He will use the decrease area feat to limit collateral damage - just trying to spray the perps! EDIT: Well doing that as a standard action. Move action: Take cover again!
  17. Rev "Anything is better than nothing" said Rev, full of encouragement to Alexa. "I mean, as long as I don't end up looking like Bride of Godzilla" she added, hastily. "I am so grateful for you even trying. I know I shouldn't complain. I got jet powered limbs after all. But doesn't stop me wishing all the same" she said, honesty and smiles. "And I guess here, I don't need to look normal. Guess I don't need to long normal at all, right? But what I mean is...here I don't stand out all that much!" she said with a big smile to all around her. "And on that note, I vote for a big breakfast! Although I can't pay for it!"
  18. In principle using cone damage attack into the obscure cloud. Feasible?
  19. Synth [As Grunt] ["But not for those guards!"] shouted Synth. With a lightning quick reaction, he grabbed the gun with both hands. ["They are just doing their jobs! You can't kill them! STOP!"] he demanded. He stepped into the man, slightly shoving him, and then twisted, ripping the gun full out of his hands. He hadn't a clue how to use guns. He didn't even know how to eject the clip. No use for guns. They were for killing, and he wasn't going to kill anyone. Or let them kill someone. ["You aren't going to kill anyone!"[ he said, firmly, and flung the rifle away with all his strength.
  20. Going to try and disarm the sodlier with the grenade launcher Disarm Sodlier: 1d20+10 30 I am not actually sure if disarm attempts get critical effects so I will leave that to you (I think as its opposed damage it probably does get the bonus). On an opposed disarm check its Opposed disarm roll: 1d20+8 23 +5 if you allow the critical
  21. Rev Rev looked at the holographic display with a tingly feeling. It wasn't the limbs tingling, it was her heart. Sure it wasn't perfect, but it was pretty darn good. You would need a microscope to see the difference. "That's awesome! Wait..." There was some fizzing, some spluttering, and sparking. The hologram glitched once. Then twice. Then spluttered out completely. "Aw! Sh....ooot" "It's the limbs. Energy dispersal systems. Has to be" she said, feeling teary. "Stop the limbs from over heating when pumping fuel through them. Makes them fire resistance. I mean, they aren't normal steel, that's what they said" she said, dejectedly. She pressed her thumbs to her temples in vexation. "I guess its the spray on flesh. But, now you see the problem. Hard to get anything that won't get burnt off or rejected..."
  22. Rev Rev was stunned - was this possible? I mean, sure, she guessed, it was technically possible. "I..don't know what to say...they tried a few prosthesis in hospital but they either looked silly, like I was some kinda mannequin, or they melted, which made me look like some straight to DVD horror show monster" she said, eyes wide. "But if you think you can get some spray-on heat resistant plastic? I would kiss your sweet ass!" she finished, unable to contain her hope any longer. "I mean...you know, not actually kiss it. But you know what I mean..."
  23. Rev "You do?" spluttered Rev, almost falling over with excitement. "I mean, if you could check it out, that would be pretty awesome" she said, getting flustered with excitement. "I mean, I'm not saying I need anything fancy. Just to not look, you know, like a..." she hesitated. "A freak" she said, shamefully. "I shouldn't say that. I guess a lot of kids look strange here. And I'm not ashamed of what am I. But getting stared at all the time gets a bit thin after a while" she said, backtracking. "So whatever you could do would be pretty great!"
  24. GM Arna smiled at the compliment. She judged it was a fair one too. Who knew speaking Danish would be so helpful? The Captain nodded. "I can do that, for certain. Manchester is a big industrial town. Plenty of work for a strong man, although the factories and minds can grind you down" he said, his voice flecked with experience. "And with any big town comes crime. And the law to fight it. I'm sure you could sign up to be a copper, if you wished. Or if you fancy heading down to London, the Ministry of Extraordinary affairs would be most interested in that sword of yours. Personally, I would keep that quiet though..." he said, eyebrows wiggling. "Truth is, I would be happy to have you on the ship. It's not for everyone, on an Icebreaker, but we travel the world, cutting into Canada and Russia. And Russia is a lively place, I can tell you..." he said, frowning. "In any case, you have a strong arm and a strong heart and would be a fine sailor, I guess!" ~ Fin ~
  25. Rev "Metal legs, too" added Rev, pulling up her slacks to show her shins - such as they were. "And feet. Complete with jets" she explained. "I won't win any bikini competitions, that's for sure" she added, with a wink at Stalwart. "And not noticing them is nice. I mean, I don't know how you cam miss them. But its nice that someone missed them" she said, as if that was the most extraordinary thing in the world. It was certainly a first. "Well I doubt I will be in the gym, brains. And I can pretty much bet you have more muscles than me" she explained to Alexa. "Pretty much everyone's got more muscles than me..."
