  1. ok so we kind of skipped a bit of annotation, my fault. We should be at: Round 2 23 Hyperactive Unharmed 2 HP, bruised 17 Gold Star Bruised With the 23 action being your punch. Which means Gold Star is up again. GS will once feint, as a move action: Feints Hyperactive: 1d20+6 10 which you might fail could you roll? Punches Hyperactive again: 1d20+10 18 his attack might hit if you get feinted. ill post IC once we know if it hits!

It does! but we probably jumped to far, as technically that was a reaction attack (Gold Star has effectively a Mental Blast 5 Extras: Reaction (being damaged) Drawback: Limited to ranks of the damage attack he received power for 34 PP!) So we could either you do you doing a surge to attack again? or roll back a post to Gold star responding with his own action, or...? Thoughts?
  3. The Red Rat The Rat still had barely a speculative inkling of clue as to whatforth and whenhappenstance of goings on. Maybe. But! Running was a strong indicator of guilt. She had no idea what he might be guilty of. But he was still running. Her guns would have been nice. But answers were nicer still. Giving a friendly wave to the thugs with batons and the dancers bereft of beats, she ran full speed after the DJ.
  4. GM Gold Star pulled back, too slow, but still, he was quick. The force was unquestionable, but he had a jaw of iron and a will of steel. And as soon as the blow connected, Hyperactive felt a blistering pain. It felt like he had been punched in the jaw. And hard, too. He felt the wail of psychic agony, the vague and obscure memories of a endless beatings and cruelty. Of something deep inside Adam Altman shutting off, shutting down, putting the pain elsewhere. In this case, straight into Hyperactives brain. A retributive psychic strike. "Hurr hurr..." clucked the Parrot, seeing what happened. "You felt that? Why did you think I stopped beating sense into him?"
  5. It is indeed! so a DC 30 Damage effect. Toughness vs crit: 1d20+10 26 and gets away with a lucky bruise (I presume its non lethal). But wait! whats this? a blinding flash of psychic pain! A DC 15 Will Save vs damage for Hyperactive! (See IC post)
  6. GM "Draaa-maaa!" yelled Zyte, zooming in with his camera. Somehow, despite wielding his impressive tool, he was able to do jazz hands at the same time. What talent! Bloom took the opportunity to run out of the door, kicking off her heels as she did. For a short woman of several years, it was remarkable to witness her turn of pace. Fear gave her wings. "It makes you in my way. Nothing less. Nothing more" said the glazed Gold Star, bluntly. Whilst he had previously been a nervous firecracker with simmering rage, Gold Star now seemed to radiate unbreakable certainty, like a horribly cold, still, but brutal sea. He swung hard. He was trained, although no expert. Rather, his strength and determination was the cause of his prowess. A focused brutality seemed to drip from him...
  7. Gold Star will (try to) intimidate as a move action, Intimidate Hyperactice: 1d20+6 21 could you roll to match that (Will / Sense Motive / Intimidate...best of) And then punch Punches Hyperactive: 1d20+10 21 which misses.
  8. acrobatics vs acrobatics bluff: 1d20+6 8 so you have feinted Gold Star. And you can position yourself inbetween the Altmans feel free to post IC!
  9. GM "There are men of weeds, and men of steel" replied Gold Star, his face firm and confident, his eyes glazed, impassive. "And I am cut from diamond. I do not answer to you. The world shall no my name, and I shall bend my knee to nobody..." He threw off the remainder of his clothes. His kevlar fibre costume was rather impressive. A rather splendid and heavy gun hung on its belt. "My father forged me with his fists and his words. He shall be suffer the consequences of his brutality, and those consequences will, in turn, be suitably brutal. Not quick or noble, not for him" he said, half tuning to the Parrot, whose rather weak gambit had stuck in his talented throat. "He failed. I will not abide it...prepare to be removed..." he said, reaching for his fathers with gripping fingers advancing towards trembling throat.

  11. GM Bloom and Adam Altman spun around. Bloom was shocked. Adam had a thousand yard stare, like dead fury. Not a tear was shed, but his eyes were dilated, his muscles trembling from...well...something. A somewhat cruel smile came from the Parrot. A sense of relief, perhaps. A sense of irony, maybe. "That's right I'm going to commit murder! Wait, I didn't say that! Murder I say! What? Murder! Aren't you going to stop me? Stop! You can't do that! I thought you had a stroke! But I'm still going to murder you!" gabbled Bloom, before she out her hands to her mouth, shocked and scared. "Grwwaaah! You beat me till I was half dead, old man!" grunted Gold Star, angry now. His face zoned out, a pseudo calm falling over him. "But I am IN CONTROL. I survived. And now I am everything you were not!" He tore of his sweatshirt. Underneath, was a suit of high tech kevlar armour, black. Emblazoned with a huge gold star over his chest piece. "I am your son! GOLD STAR!" "Kill him, no don't kill him do it!" gabbled a horrified Bloom.
  12. GM All eyes were on Sugar Foxx. Maybe because she was magnetic. Like a sweet canid. Or maybe everyone was making a very deliberate attempt not to look at Bloom's makeshift office. Bar the smoking wheels and Zyte, who, as usual, was filming everything. Ear pressed against the thinnish walls, Hyperactive could hear shouting. Ms. Bloom was on a roll. It was not exactly aggressive, more like an iron coated pep talk. "This man ruined your life! Brought you up with fists and belt! You don't owe him anything. He has tried to control you, live out his dreams whilst he festered and failed. You can do anything! Let me help you be everything, anything!..." There was a grunt of twisted rage from Altman jnr. A whimper of fear from Altman Snr. "Finish him!" ordered Bloom.
  13. GM And in mere moments later (same hyper time, same hyper channel)... The road to Bloom studios was full of cars. Pedestrians walked on the street. A man dressed in Tin foil and wearing a saucepan on his lead shuffled along, mumbling about the "Psychotrons" beaming "Brainvapour" into his head. But there was no sign of Altman Senior or Junior. Such was the nature of dimensional temporal lensing, one would imagine. And so, mere moments later after those mere moments... At Bloom Studios... Another scene of "Amazon Blade of Lust" was filming, and all eyes were on Sugar Foxx kung-fu fighting some buxom zombies who hacked and slashed at her with sharpened vegetables. She was a tall afro carribean woman with a funky afro, a bosom that screamed silicon, and a pretty face. She was a halfway decent actress and a decent kung-fu practioner, dancing around with some numchuks and a few appropriate avian screams when she kicked and whipped. The buxom zombies fell to one side or another. Of more concern, some thugs wearing "Smokin' Wheels!" jackets were loitering about, everyone giving them a wide birth. At least they didn't seemed armed. Firearms not allowed on set. And just to one side of the action, out of shot, was Blooms personal mobile office, with a "Stay out!" sign on the door. It was swinging slightly...

  15. I think for the purpose of story / HP activation / time dilation we can say that they are at Blooms studios already? I can do a scene cut there but you may want a short post IC first?
  16. If its feasible, using datalink and taking 10 on computers to hack into the sound system and crash it...
  17. The Red Rat Some cybernetic ears would have been nice to match the eyes. Of course, that would have meant six months blind and deaf as she got used to them. It was tough enough adjusting to being blind all those years ago. If it wasn't for the unconscious men she had left behind, she would have settled down to watch. But unconscious men have a habit of becoming conscious, sooner or later. Instead, she kicked SLAVE into play. Lets see if we can shut the music down...see what happens... Maybe it was just vinyl and electronics. But it had the feel of a heavily electronic, computer lead music. And with a bit of force, she might just crash the system...

  19. Flintlock "Zut Alors!" cried Garcon "Gutboy", the Black Flags almost competent cook as the bullet whizzed past him. "Zey have guns! Ze Cowards!". "Cowards!!!!" he yelled at them, shaking his machete. Flintlock leaped to the front of the ship, peering into the skies and oceans and the USS Constellation. "Tough as this old ship be, we would be sunk soon enough" she concluded. Simply put, they seemed to have the bigger guns. "Hold your cannons, Sweet Jennie!" "Ill hold them, and shove them up your nostrils!" she screamed back. "Lets give them a bigger threat to fire at!" Flintlock never really liked using sorcery. It was pulling things that should not exist into existence. But needs must, and the thing that should not exist in this case was seething mass of tentacles and black shark like eyes that bubbled away on the surface of the ocean, twenty feet across, with blistering organs festering on its skin. A spectre from another dimension, most fortunately not quite on this plane of existence, but bound to Flintlocks sorcery. And she promptly commanded it, in all its writhing glory, to head for the USS Constitution...
  20. Starshot "If you want a guarantee, by a tri-thermal toaster" Starshot rose up, putting down (with some lamentations) the last of his beer (or what tasted like beer). "We expected trouble, and still do. I wouldn't be surprised if Cain has some tricks up his sleeves and some friends in dark corners. So eyes open" he concluded. "If it means busting some more heads to get to the sellers, that's the kind of business we are in. We are prepared" He was pretty sure Gear would be in the same song sheet, but gave him a nod of agreement. "Whenever you are ready, lets go. I suggest quickly though, words can travel faster than light in the right place. And this looks just that kind of place...best keep moving...."

Just a suggestion / note: For prehensile feat, I have used Feature (Use feet as hands / hands as feet) for the Red Ape (Red Rat) and Gunmonkey (Starshots minion) Essentially this is variable descriptor feat applied to normal limbs! (1 PP) Its probably a bit more accurate than additional limbs 2 (meaning you have six limbs...) also a bit cheaper. Personally I would lose a few feats, the swinging power, and replace with higher DEX and climb / acrobatics skills (maybe bump leaping to 2) Possibly a few ranks of handle animal, animal empathy feat, and attractive (animal magnetism) so he can really hit it off with his fellow simians...
  22. The Red Rat The Rat had always been rather partial to Swing, that American invention that symbolised freedom in the Cold War. But she had an eclectic taste. Modern dance music, whilst not her favourite, was hardly exotic. She couldn't recall stripped down music like this, though, especially when it made her brain wobble. Maybe its just the concussion. Her guns, now...she would like them back. But she could live without them, too. And they might be bait. She thumped her head, trying to clear it, and circled closer. What was in the centre?

  24. GM And so, back at the Gold Star Nursing Home... The shattered glass had been swept up. The place looked as good as new, which was, lamentably, not very good. It appeared a few days had passed. Such was the quantum nature of time when forced through paradoxical dimensional lensing. Or some such effect. It was now dusk, and the hot, sticky air was hotter, and predictably more sticky. The low sun cast long shadows and amber light with its own beauty. And all was quiet. And, it seemed after a moments inquiry at the nursing home. Mr. Altman Jnr had taken Mr. Altman Snr out for a trip...to Bloom Studios...
  25. No problems - for now, whilst in the base that will probably be irrelevant but Ill think about whether that could be a complication on return?
