  1. 11 which is a bit rubbish so I will spend an HP to avoid that stagger 26 comfortably making it
  2. Haven Purging infection? Is that what he was? Haven experienced a moment of existential crisis - the words somehow slid through his metal skin into his soul - although he was not entirely sure what a soul was. Or if he had one. Am I just an infection on humanity? Should I be purged? Perhaps it was this pointless and ill-timed philosophical conundrum which made his fist swing wide, a clumsy blow, leaving an admittedly pretty trail of orange sparks in the virtual air. For a second, philosophy strangled him once more - what was real, what was virtual? He stamped down on that thought. There was a time and place for such speculation, and it was not here and it was not now.
  3. Going to go for an accuate +2 shifted Taser fist attack 14 even with accurate, so thats going to miss
  4. Sure, makes sense. Hope Pips is ok.
  5. Diamondlight The poker face was solid, unreadable as he took the chips with a moderate smile. The excitement, the thrill of gambling - his vice - pumped around his chest, but his poker face remained. And beneath the excitement, his mind focussed down on study of minutiae, study of motivation. Tun is after ratings, nothing more. Callous. Primary psychopathy - no sadism, no cruelty, merely an void, uncaring of the feelings of others. If he plays unfair, he will. He will cheat to maximise ratings. Take us to a cliff face, leave us dangling. She doesn't care if we drop, merely that we dangle. If this was so, Tun would have levers that he, and the others, could manipulate. Whilst against his nature, he decided to play deliberately slow, boring. And study Tull as he turtled his way through the game. "Let's play some poker..." he said, sitting down at the table with a smile, adjusting his tie, and preparing to play the minimum chips. No calling bluff here. It was a fair tactic anyway; the novice poker player fell foul to the sunk cost cognitive error - blundering chips in an attempt, however unlikely to succeed, to overcome their opponent by calling their bluff. The first lesson of poker; abandon a bad hand when you have one.
  6. Its possible but he is currently smashing in the front door to the tower! Although I suppose you could snatch him away once the shell has fired and let the shell smash the door in! :0
  7. It certainly does look remarkably like that!
  8. GM Lyong raised both ragged eyebrows. She obviously didn't attend to her personal appearance, despite (or arguably because) of her otherwise handsome features. "Cloning?! Why, never. All cloning is carefully regulated. WEST is totally aware of the dangers of cloning." She sighed, shoulders deflated, head down. "Although, frankly, its done. Supervillains, rouge states, unscruplous coorperations. Its done. It doesn't help since some cloning is actually vital biomedical research and application. Its actually my speciality. Can you imagine if you could grow a new liver, a new spleen? And we are not far off that. Its not some pipe-dream. As long as its properly regulated..." She sighed again. "...and there lies the rub. Half the time, maybe more, its not." "If Doctor North is unavailable, then its field leaders who take over command of the station until we assign a replacement. So. Ah. Um. I guess that's me..." Pride and fear fought a vigorous battle across the battlefield of her face.
  9. GM The might hands of Golden Star crunched into the steel door. Each finger gouged a finger-sized hole. The whole door buckled, crumpled, disorted. The huge reingforced hinges coughes up masonry dust, rattling as they battled the force of Golden Star. But the door, for now, held. In bad shape, it was, but held, it did. And a nearby tank took notice, swivelling its rather long cannon towards the door. The blazing "INTRUDER ALERT" didn't help much, either...
  10. Ok as per chat, full round action to break objects! Tough save is now 15 (Its a steel door) Damage effect is 26 + total superstrength ranks of 7 = 33 However, as the door is a foot thick, its toughness to be disabled is +5, making it a a tough save 20 So one injury Means two more full round "Break objects action" will tear the door off its chinges. Extra effort will reduce that to one (ie next round) if you wish.
  11. Echohead Echohead reached out and extracted Predator's brain. No, this was not a B-Movie with an axemurder and a gallon of blood. Instead, it was a subtle as a camouflaged feather. With the lightest of touch, Echohead copied Preadtors brain and left it nice and cozy within his own skull. Intelligence! And skill! Suddently, complicated maths and circuit boards seemed, to Echohead, to be the simplest things in the world. Obscure codings software seemed to be as malleable as a lump of placticene. The most exotic technology seemed to be no more arcane than a hammer and a nail. "Wow... that's better!" he muttered, peeking over Predator's shoulders with new eyes, finding the previous unknowables seemed to have swum into crystal clear focus.
  12. Starshot Doctor Archeville's voice crackled over the intercom. Starshot tapped the helmet. Maybe something got jolted in the fight... the radio hissed and squarked, but for now he could make out the voice. "Sounds like a plan..." Any plan is better than no plan at all... It was fighting in the dark, without IR goggles. They still didn't know half the picture. Grue, yes. But why, and how? How did this puzzle fit together? And magic? Even more unpredictable. Despite all the unknown variables, action was better than inaction, this he knew. "Drop me off at the Xeno, ill fire her up and provide the distraction." I hope.
  13. GM In the tower of bolts... PYEOW! PYEOW PYEOW! Electric bolts streamed from the levitating guns like a rapid river. Computers exploded in a shower of sparks, lab coats were set on fire, and Nazi Scientists trembled from electrocution until they fell to the floor, out cold. All in all, it was mayhem! One strange looking levitating weapon hit the lead scientist with a gaudy purple ray. He shrieked in alarm, his voice getting higher and higher in pitch as his body shrunk! Low, behold, he was now only six inches high. "What have you done! What have you done!" he squeaked in alarm. But his voice was nearly drowned out by an alarm, and flashing red lights. "INTRUDER ALERT! INTRUDER ALERT!" blared a repetitive message throughout the tower.
  14. GM The Thug laughed. "Thats the beauty of it! This Freak never runs dry. You just ply him... I think its a him, anyway, never dared look... with enough protein and iron, keep him fed and watered, and he's keeps churning the blood out! He's like a machine! If you know any vampires, this mutie is the meal ticket of a lifetime!" The albino man started trembling. The cold night air? Or something else? "Look man, I told you all I know. Now cut me loose, man. Have a heart. I got a wife and three, no four kids to feed. I took the gig, got paid, and now you stopped Synthetic hitting the streets. At least from this meatbag. You see any other synthetic, it won't be from me, man, I swear. I'm done with this biz. Its a bit too much on the freaky side of life if you ask me!" The albino's trembling became stronger, more coarse. Drool spilled from his mouth...
  15. Haven Fight. Fight it was, fight it had to be. He didn't start the fight, but he was not going to retreat. Something about the cowardly lion made him think of the bullied - and Haven did not like bullies. And this official nazi like booted programme felt like a bully. "Delete yourself," he muttered. "You serve an iron master, don't you? Nothing.. human. And you don't need to be a human, to be human," he added, asserting his own core existential defences. He leapt forward, pulling back a fist...
  16. Fight it is! 24 for initiative How is the cybercombat going to work, mechanically. In RW I reckon Haven would do a Taser fist punch, but are his powers active here?
  17. Gamma Buzz "Stay together, right!" agreed Baz, putting a cockroach plated thumb up and nodding. "Don't split the party, am I right?" He shuddered. "This all feels super spooksy to me. I mean, obviously I am completely brave and fearless, but if I wasnn't this whole cave leading into alternate reality thing would be super spooky." He shuddered again. "If we were brought here for a purpose... then we need to find out what that purpose is, I think. Otherwise the thing that had a purpose might decide we have no purpose and gobble us up into a black hole of utter destruction and despair. Or something..." He gazed at the city. "On the other hand, this does look like a pretty cool place, huh? Do they have anti gravity skateboards?"
  18. A few wobbles, but we can say that whilst a bit anarchic, you can bust up the Nazi scientists with that - although it makes a lot of noise!
  19. GM The pathway to the tower was dangerous - Cerebellum and Golden Star could see that. But there was also a path through. Many patrols, but predictable controls. In the end, they had managed to get to the base of the tower unseen, either by the patrols or the sentries above them. The tower itself was made of reinforced concrete. Quite enough to repel any small arms fire, and resilient enough to stand up to the odd shell. Both Golden Star and Cerebellum could punch they way through - but that would be noisy, slow. And possibly dangerous. The tower was architecturally flawed, that was for sure. An explosive in the wrong place might well bring the whole thing crashing down. The door to the tower was Iron. With a large lock. A possibly pickable lock. Every 15 minutes, the door opened from the inside to let out another patrol of ten men or a tank (it alternated). A regimented routine, almost as if it was computerised!
  20. ooof! Well thats enough to at least identify electro shock weapons (pistol, rifle, machine gun). Anything else falls under "pot luck"!
  21. It is indeed
  22. GM In the tower laboratory Rack upon rack of weapons, row upon row of test tubes, all (possibly predictably) filled with bright coloured liquids. Reds, yellows, blues, but especially greens. Lurid, poisonous, toxic greens that look like they could turn normal Nazi soldiers into raging mutant Nazi super soldiers. Fortunately, none of the scientists noted the stealthy Cerebral. There were just so many corners and tables to hide behind! The weapons rack was full of all sorts of strange devices that all looked like they had come from a 70s sci fi serial. Clearly, General Sparks was developing lightning bolt weapons; of this, there were plenty from small handguns to large gatling guns, and everything in between. But there were other weapons, of bizzare look and no doubt bizzare function... plenty for a stealthy hero to nab!
  23. OK Lets check that against the rather feeble scientists notice of +2 https://orokos.com/roll/1007306 12, so no probs! Could you throw me a knowledge (Tech) roll DC 15, untrained is fine
  24. Gamma Buzz "You are not match for us!" yelled Baltazar. "Gamma Buzz, baby!" He backflipped and jumped, ending up on the ceiling, like a cockroach crawling along a wall. He gave a cheesy grin. "Lets get 'em, team! We can split the work and credit. You do the work, I take the credit! Whoops, did I say that out loud?" he added, winking at his two team mates. With a mighty inhilation, his antenna quivering in radioactive anticipation, he proceeded to blow out a stream of gamma-glowing-green particles, catching as many of the "experimental soldiers" as he could!
  25. Gamma will try to do a move action to flip somewhere (the ceiling?) and then Atomic breath the experimental soldiers (Cone Area effect, Damage 8 Fort Save)
