  1. So Fungus will attack Jason, who bruised it! Its defence is a measly -2 (or +2 for a limb), but its attack is better: 1d20+6=13 but not good enough! Basically a round of wailing and flailing! And now: Round 2: 19 - Ulysses, Unharmed, 2 HP 14 - Jason, Unharmed, 1 HP 10 - Officer Groats, Unharmed 7 - Green Blob, Bruised Ulysses is up!
  2. Actually, you do! As its with a shovel, thats an improvised weapon, but it is not stronger than your strength bonus so no additional bonus damage (but it does protect you against touching it!) so its a DC 25 Toughness save, and 1d20+12=22 it picks up a bruise! Post awaaay!
  3. A miss I am afraid! Feel free to post that...and then Jason S is up!
  4. So, first off Sasha is trying to fascinate Geckoman! She is drunk, so I am giving her a -2 penalty: With her attractive bonus that is a net +6: 1d20+6=14 Save vs that with a Sense Motive or Will. And then a DC 20 Notice check if you make it (not distracted). If you are distracted, Ill hike that up to DC 30!
  5. GM "Pfah!" humphed Sasha, clearly drunk. Or an giving an oscar-worthty performance of one. It took a lot of drink to knock a hard boiled, hard living reporter off her feet, but the alcohol had been sloshed around most liberally that evening. "I'm a damn reporter! I live to be forwards!" she said, appropriately. She leaned far too heavily into Geckoman, showing a generous slice of decolletage. The alcohol on her breath served as a nice sickly juxtaposition to the softness of her bosom and plunging neckline. "I want some green love!" she demanded, her inhibitions totally dissolved in her ethanolic blood.
  6. ANy posts coming in or shall I cut to inside?
  7. Round 1: 19 - Ulysses, Unharmed, 2 HP 14 - Jason, Unharmed, 1 HP 10 - Officer Groats, Unharmed 7 - Green Blob, Unharmed Ulysses is up!
  8. Which means, as it is vampiric, Fiegr gets a recovery roll at +8. His base Recovery is +0 (he is undead but can regenerate at +5), so 1d20+8=24 he makes it. Feigr looses his Injury, BK gains an injury and a bruise (yes, its lethal damage...) These added to the initiative table above, and Phantasmo is up!
  9. GM "<Defiler! You attack the land!>" screamed Feigr Iss, a bitter and horrible scream too, that seared through the cold mountain air and echoed below. "I..uh..that hurt..." said Anya, collapsing onto the cold ice "...this is sacred land...." she whispered, clear in the air. It was not quite clear if the pain of possession or the ruination of Greenlands heritage had hurt her - or both! Feigr Iss was livid, cold and livid. He slid towards Black Knight on the rocks and ice, moving like a spider on a web. His spear was held back, as he shot forth his arm and grabbed the Black Knight by the neck. "<You shall pay most horribly!>" he hissed, and the Knight could feel the heat of his life force being sucked out...
  10. Mountain comes crumbling away! Tanya and Arna are released from possession, and I will say Feigr himself is Fatigued from the loss of his connection. However, he is up again, and this time he is going to grab Black Ice by the throat! 1d20+10=18 I believe that hits, which means a DC 18 Fortitude Check from the Black Knight! Round 4 19 - Fiegr Iss - Fatigued 8 - Phantasmo - Injured, Bruised - 2 HP 7 - Black Knight - Unharmed - 1 HP And then, Phantasmo is up!
  11. Its enough to spot the thing and not get surprised! Initiative Rolls please: Green Blob: 1d20=7 Note: At present, the blob itself is fifty feet away, and as such will be partially concealed due to darkness. Its tentacles are not so concealed!
  12. GM It was cold, and it was dark. And gravestones, however steeled a heart is, are never good company. Apart from those crumbling relics, moss, and earth, little could be seen. An old boot. A few beer cans. A dead squirrel. Then, there was a noise. It was not loud, but it was disconcerting. Like a rolling, and oozing, a squelching. Then, Groats screamed in fear, and let loose his shotgun, before running in a blind panic towards Jason and Ulysses. "It's alive! It's alive!" he screamed. A half dozen tentacles of pure green ooze shot forth from the darkness, probing and stretching, seeking meat to feed on, like a parasite, like a fungus...
  13. Post away the awesomeness of mountain splitting! Also, if you can give me some direction of what you want to do with Anya in the future?
  14. OK lets make this an opposed power roll: Corrosion vs Possession. Possession has rank 10 for this purpose: 1d20+10=19 for the possession power. Roll em! (and any rerolls you wish). I will also give a +2 DC to that Corrosion roll if you can make a DC 20 Arcane Knowledge roll (as you "dig" ley lines and stuff)
  15. GM The Scarves of Phantasmo, who, it was said, was both unliving and amazing, wrapped themselves around Anya, around and around, typing themselves into knots for her feet, binding her to the mountain. "Defilers! Defilers! Defilers!" shouted her white eyes and cold breath, as she flailed her arms around. Whatever else Phantasmo had intended, they at least kept her safe. Her wild strength on an icy mountain was more dangerous than even the undead magicians playing cards. She tensed, and looked straight at Phantasmo, her blue eyes clear for one moment... "thank - you - " she whispered to him, before her spirit once again fell under a dark spell, and she began cursing and chanting once more...
  16. So Geckoman is formally drunk (a Sickened result!) We shall treat this as a save every hour to sober up if thats ok? (Bonus points for raw eggs, fry up, strong coffee, etc!)
  17. Ok, ya blind bats! Feel free to post stumbling around, tripping over gravestones, and stubbing toes! Then, lets throw some notice rolls!
  18. Ok its search roll times; given the prospect of breaking the quarantine, time is of the essence so no taking 20! (And don't worry, failing a search wont mean the adventure stops!) Its DC 15, but -4 Penalty for using torches and poor lighting. Lets give the infravision a chance: its not perfect without hot living flesh, but Jasons penalty is reduced to -2.
  19. GM Two shovels, two torches, and a pack of dunkin' donuts later... "Here we go, finest resting place in Freedom City" said Groats, wiping a triple Creamychoc Delight from his mouth. The trip had taken only a few minutes. At this time of the dead of night, Sirens were not used. Besides, the Quarantine squad would arrive at any minute, and there was no point in antagonising them. It was a black, cloudy sky, casting the Graveyard into almost complete darkness, bar the torchlights. Even Jason Stack Houses infra red vision did not help much. Out here, everything was almost the same cold temperature. At least the Gravestones looked colder. The ground was a blur of moss, grass, and earth. "Be a devil to find anything around here...damn it, what a job...." muttered Groats, as he consulted the arrest notes on Ms Marigold. "Still, we found her by Master John Weaver Esq, Died 1872...From an inflamed glands, I see from our records" he said. "Damned if I know what inflamed glands are, but the mind does fill in the gaps, unfortunately" he said, massaging a sensitive area of the male body in sympathetic pain. "Lets go picking mushrooms then..." he grumbled.
  20. GM "Hell, don't cry too many tears. That guy wasn't the sweetest" said Vince, who, overcome with relief, gave the wolf a hug. He was bloodied, bruised, and in pain, but the horrors seem to wash away from him with the relief he felt. "To be honest, rather him than me...oh...you...er...aren't feeling hungry are you? I mean...erm....perhaps you could change into, you know, a regular girl, or something, with less big teeth" he said, releasing her. He was joking. Mainly joking. "I mean, the least I can do is give you a slap up meals at Fat Billy's Sausagarium?" he offered, referring to a highly popular and cheap restaurant of sausagemeat and beer.
  21. So I suggest a scene cut to the graveyard if you guys are up for it: Feel free to post collecting some torches and spades if you wish, or just to reply!
  22. GM "Shoot, I reckon you just might be right" said Groat, scratching his neck and leaning his shotgun against his shoulder. "Which puts me in a straight bind. I ain't allowed to let nobody leave this here police station. Quarantine, damn it" he said, angry at the situation. "But if what that there Ms Marigold said is true, sounds like a Quarantine ain't gonna save Freedom City" he sighed, despondent. "Which ever way you cut it, my ass is on the line" He slammed his fist against his desk. "So to hell with it. I believe the suit on the phone said I shouldn't let anyone out of my sight" he said, grinning in defiance. "So that's what I'm gonna do. I'm driving you two fellas up to Lantern Hill Graveyard, and you two promise to stay in my sight" he said, grabbing his patrol car keys. "Help yourselves to torches and spades. Yeah, we impound a lot of the latter" he sighed, despairing of the occult youth gravedigger scene...
  23. Okey dokey: Close call so Ill incorperate that in the IC!
  24. That works fine: DC 25 should do the trick (it is somewhat obscure and tricky). However, it only partially absolves the problem, as persuading others of the loophole may be another story! (i.e the difference between legally leaving and leaving without conflict!) Still, lets see what happens!
  25. GM "That thing? No...it broke down. Its hard to run a super computer. Its resting in MIT right now, no doubt some plucky Post Grad student is piecing it back together or cannabilising it for spart parts. Or playing Freecell on it" said her father, sitting down by the wheel of the Yacht and sailing her to the shores of Freedom City. His rage had sunk, although her had a fierce resignation to him. "I can't see her stopping though. You are right, that implant was just a sticking plaster. We did note a number of neurological problems when developing the technology. It took considerable effort to stop them developing. A number of mutant prions developed. If your..." he could say the word sister "...friend has developed such a disease, it will only get worse. And it will only be a matter of time before she seeks out a real cure...." He gave Endeavour a long, serious, sad, and angry look ~ Fin ~
