  3. GM Zaki was getting the colour back to his face, and his throat felt less dry. He actually managed to croak. And then, with effort of composure, speak. "That...that thing. Was it speaking truly? Was he a product of Darwin-X?" he said, his voice slowly returning. He actually loosened his shirt, feeling his heart beat out of his chest from the adrenaline. He had been to scared to notice before. "I...I would not have believed it if I had not seen it with my own eyes. I thought my time had come, but by the Mercy of Allah I am alive. I thought we would all be devoured, like Sobek of the old gods! How you defeated him, I do not know!" He gulped. "But I fear it is not just our Sobek that we must consider. It is true he is a vile god, and dangerous. But also, this compound may still hold Darwin-X...."
  4. GM Sasha smiled a lethal smile, and crossed her lethal legs. And crossed them again. And then cr...but no, the third was just a whispering tease of movement to keep the eyes alert. "Oh, I don't think we need worry too much about all that Menace or Threat headline. You are smart enough to know its going to be printed anyway" she said, pouring herself an immodest measure of champagne and applying it immodestly to her immodest lips. "So relax and enjoy the steak. I hope you like it rare? It really is top class food here!" she commented as she clicked her fingers for Matre'D came to them. "*Ahem* May I take your order, Madam and Sir?" he asked politely, without pen or paper, trusting his experienced memory. Something about the subtleties of the way he pronounced Madam indicated his opinion of her had slipped ever so slightly in favour of the Green Crusader.
  5. The Mess scratched his head, trying to make sense of the web of intrigue. He was not successful. He took a few steps, and pulled out a steel girder from the warehouse. His blood was pumping less hard, but he was still engorged. Without his full strength, he had to grit his teeth for the feat, the veins pumping in his biceps until they were about to burst. "Well I guess we should ask your mister mystic then!" he concluded, before marching up to the robed man and bending the Steel Girder around him like a clasp. "I reckon you could get out of this huh?" he asked Machine Fist. "But not this here guy. He ain't got no sweat" he said, congratulating himself as he bent the last piece of steel into shape. "Hey, partner, I got some bozo here for questoining!" he yelled down his phone to the Hound.
  6. It can indeed - how do you want to play this? ULtimately when you recover is, at this stage, simply a matter of how far the Robot Drags you. You can of course use a Bluff roll to "Play Paralysed" which is pretty darn easy: DC 5. Otherwise you can "Wake" and counter that grapple.

"Happy, fluffy, meet and greet robots?" said a genuinely surprised Noemi before she realised that whilst she had lived through the cold war, the couple she had dragged here had caught the tail end of it, if that. "No, I can't recall ever having met those. Even the Soviet Toaster was unfriendly back in my day..." Correction: Superior Soviet Toaster! flashed SLAVE infront of her otherwise black blind eyes. "I do recall plenty of Superior Soviet 'Stomp you to the Ground and Smash Out Your Teeth' kind of robots though. The Soviet Union was pretty big on those back in my day" A pang of sympathy for Cinnamon Buns hit her. "Cinnamon...whoever you are, I am sorry I dragged you into this..."
  8. well, its your grapple bonus versus the robot, but first off, work out how many rounds you are paralysed for with some fort saves!
  9. Right, so... Round 1: 11 - Hoverbot - Unharmed 4 - Endevour - Paralysed, 3 HP NOte that outside the wands lighting, it is low light conditions Hannah has a nominal Initiative of 7 but wont be engaging in combat. Hoverbot will move up to Endevour, and attempt a grapple (despite its size, it is strong!) it automatically hits the paralysed Endevour, and I think essentially cannot be resisted, so Endevour is now in a grapple Pin!
  10. GM the hovering microbot was small, but strong. Almost without sound, it went up to Endevour and extended to short but powerful arms, tipped with three pincers. Whilst initially threatening, as the silent grey arms reached for her, they were not claws for rending. Rather they closed around Endevours arms and hauled her up bodily, slowly, to her feet. At this point there was a slow whine from the microbot, as it struggled to move her. Strong, it was, but still small. As she rose to her feet in the grip of the Bot, it started to drag the superheroine away, her limp body dragging across the slime and muck of the sewer... "Hey! Hey! Whats going on!" yelled a surprised Hannah, to a speechless robot...
  11. Also, an initiative roll please. The microbot has 1d20+5=16 but actually only 11, as I brain farted (its initiative is +0!)
  12. GM "Its not far now...about a hundred yards, just up here, to the left...God it reeks...." complained Hannah, who was struggling from the falls and the effort of walking this far. Pffft... A dart whisked through the air, small, barely a centremeter long, loaded with drugs. In front of them, almost unseen in the dark lights of the sewer, hovered a small machine, no more than a foot in any direction, floating in the air with most faint of wobbles, with eyes and tubes pointed towards them both....
  13. Hovering Microbot Stealth attack 1d20+5=19 its a lucky hit on a flat footed Endeavour! The dart is a Paralyse 5 Poison She is immune to that, although I will offer up a Hero Point if you wish to the descriptor (a poison dart) to actually work on (as its a sealed environment suit). Your call.
  14. Ok could you throw me a notice roll, DC 22, there will be some penalties due to low light (at least, spotting anything more than 25' away, as I presume the wand is glowing!)
  15. 1d20+10=18 was the roll, although actually his base toughness is 12, so that makes 20 (my mistake). Then, we add 5 bruises to bring him down to 15, meaning, you guessed it, another bruise, another daze. Except I am calling it at this juncture. 6 Bruises and staggered means he is effectively out of combat. Your call if you want to leave him with 6 bruises and staggered but defeated and conscious, or if you just want to KO him, Thev.
  16. GM Later...that evening... The sewers, predictably, where wet, smelly, and dark. "What a place to hide out" grumbled Hannah. She was making slow progress, taking each step slowly, and using both sticks in either hand. The wet surfaces did not make it easier for her. Twice she had already slipped over, and had the bruises and grime to show for it. But, you had to hand it to her, she had dogged determination. "I can make it. I have to make it..." Hannah could guide them with her tablet, with its downloaded plans of the sewers, but it would be slow, slow progress. And it was late. And, to reinforce the point, it was smelly...
  17. So let me know if you want any tech or computer skills to come into play to reboot power or computer systems. Also, there is top grade laboratory and workshop facilities here if you fancy whipping up anything scientific.
  18. GM There was a brief moment of repressurisation in the airlock, and then the inner door opened. It was dark, with flashing emergency lighting on the floor. The facility was high tech, with plati-steel plating, and computer interfaces everywhere. It had big corridors and top facilities. Living quarters, laboratories, recreation rooms, hydroponics...everything. The base could remain independently operational for years, at the very least. Except... The computer was down, inoperable. The base had been hacked. Power was still up, but there was emergency lighting and warning lights everywhere. Grunt took a readout on his armoured suit, and powered down his helmet, exposing his canine face to the air. "Its good...good air...and I can smell him..." he said, pointing to his nose with one of his laser-powered gauntlets.
  19. GM In the Police Car... It was a little cramped for two armoured superheroes in the back seat, but it was not intolerable. The question of tolerability could be more useful asked about the Sherrifs constant jabbering. "Well when 'Nose' Jenkins got tangled up with that there cow, ah say cow, then we had to round up some of the good folk of 'Halabama and..." Pointless trivia flowed from his mouth like water from a river. "...with three golf balls and a rubber duck, ah say, a rubber duck!" he finished, explaining the ending of the latest boring anecdote. "Ah, here we are, ah say, here we are!" he proclaimed, as they pulled up outside a rather shoddy old house. It must have been fourty or fifty years old, and the architect had surely had all sense of style or form surgically extracted at birth. It looked like a concrete cowpat. "An old, ree-search fahcility" said the Sherrif, getting out and adjusting his trousers once again. "You just stay behind me, watch how we do things round here Alabama style, Ah say, Alabama style!" he said proudly, marching up to the front door...
  20. GM "Haumph, well if Sir would permit me" said the Matre'D proudly "I would recommend the Pinot Noir, 1988 Languedoc Cote LeHoelsher. It goes very well with peppered steak, sealed rare, and has a rich complex earthy taste, layered with winter fruits and a slight spring leaf aftertaste, all tempered with a fine oak" he explained, reeling off a few more impressive facts about sediment, body, and the region and soil quality of the grape. "And now, let me introduce you to..." Ms Sasha Shots, in the Opera Booth... "Mr Man. Mr Gecko Man, pleased to meet you. Please do take a seat" smiled Ms Sasha Shots, smiling with blood red lipstick and mascara. She bent in just the write places moving her arm like a ballet dancer, displaying both lithe flexibility and a barely modest cleavage. "Ms. Loeb thought you wouldn't show up. I thought better. How could you...resist?" she asked, sipping her own wine and smiling generously. "I hope you like Steak. And gambling..." she commented, savouring each word like it was indeed a finely cooked slice of meat.
  21. GM "Yeah, there is a great way to contact me" answered Hannah. "That thing between your nose and your chin...what is it now...great piece of hardware..." she said, mulling over the riddle before snapping her fingers. "Your mouth! That's it!" she laughed, like a muted explosion. She enjoyed laughing. it was not exactly at Endevour, or even herself. it was a laugh that said "I'm glad to be alive". "That's right, sista, I'm coming with you, like it or not! Doctor Sparks, or whoever he is, well, he knows me, or at least of me. I can talk to him. From what I understand, he is paranoid as hell, and when you escape from the Circus Maximus with blueprints of their tech, I can't say I can blame him!"
  22. Ok if you want to know your fine wines, Roll DC 10/15/20 to have a basic grasp, 15 to be a gentleman of taste, and 20 to know intimate show off detail about your wines. Failure shifts the Matre to Unhelpful, 15 to Freindlly, and 20 to helpful. Feel free to make a DC 20/30 roll to get a +2 / +5 Situational bonus to the above (i.e. seeming to know your wines and foods more than you do!)

GM "She is indeed Sir" said the unflappable Maitre'd, pointing with a remarkable display of decorum and accuracy, with a nod, and a subtle one too, at the opera booth above, where the delectable Sasha Shots sat. Her black hair was slicked back, short to medium length. Brown eyes shone, which was an impressive feat for brown eyes. She crossed her legs, revealing an immodest amount of tanned, toned, and flawless thigh. She raised her champagne glass to the Rogue Reptile, the man she had been studying with opera glasses. "Would Sir care to join the madam?" she asked. "I could also take your order for any fine wine or appetiser you may wish, again, on the house...." He gave the snooty and distinct impression that only fine would do. And any poor vintage or cheap cookery would be met with a polite upturn of the nose.
