  1. No need to spend that HP, 22 will hit him happily. Lets call the wheelchair an improvised weapon, meaning a +2 Damage attack. Which means a total Damage DC of 15+1+5+2=23 1d20+11=13 and...fail by 10 means, as he is staggered, a knockout!
  2. So a pretty major scene cut. Ill stop there, but for reference please make some notice rolls. Anything else you fancy doing, go for it - e.g. Search, Knowledge, Arcane Rituals, Basket Weaving, Underwater Yoga, etc etc...
  3. GM "Sounds noble and exciting" said Arna, a little creeped out by Phantasmo. "Ill give you boys a ride...no questions! Happy to help a noble night and his err..." she looked Phantasmo up and down. "Squire....?" A few hours drive through dark icy landscape later... "No no, the other right...." said Arna, turning her map upside down as they reached progressively more rugged road. Her little car was a squeeze for four, and designed for the roads of Nuuk, not crawling around what was almost a mountain. She had at least provided thick jackets for herself and Tanya. A jacket didn't really go over the Black Knights shiny armour. The Viking rune stones were a little further up, on an icy footpath that threatened to trip and slip all but the most agile of feet. The stars were out in full force, with a nearly full moon, and a crystal clear sky, black and peppered with light. It was almost enough to see by, but Tanya had a flashlight or two to hand around. The Stones themselves were small, weathered, but undeniably runic, covered in snow and in a small circle.
  4. 1d20+5=11 appropriately, Pitch isnt actually that clever with magic!
  5. GM With a less explosive pop, and a faint whistle, Annie, Ulysses and Synapse felt the suck off dimensions, and the pull of their home Dimension, Annie had to cling on tightly, perhaps a little more tightly than was required, to the muscular arm of Ulysses. For whilst Ulysses and Synapse journeyed back, as if bouncing back from taught elastic, for Annie it was a journey that stretched the elastic. And then, there they were, back in Bob's Bangers, without Bob, and with a lot of soot and smoke and a few surprised Firemen gawping at the three of them. "Is this it?" asked Annie. "Looks rainy..."
  6. GM Ms D smiled at the compliment. It was hard to say if it was genuine or not. She was a master of self regulation and unreadable. "If the sightings are accurate, and, having investigated, I have every reason to think they are, then I would hazard a guess that the creature is staking out Freedom City Library. Presumably to gather knowledge, either in the conventional manner or in its own unique style" she explained. "I would suggest the search start there. Allthough be wary of scaring it off. You may wish to go incognito" she suggested.
  7. GM Annie Key chewed her lip. It was not easy for her to witness the destruction of many months labour, all apparently fruitless. "So ends the dream" she said, bitter. "India must bear another scar. I hope you can make good on your bargain, psychic" she told Synapse, the anger never completely leaving her voice. Now it shall be built! Ever forward, cog and wheel and piston and spark! ground the voice of Industry in Ulysses head. It was not exactly joyful, more of a determined satisfaction to the mental voice. Ulysses could feel the build up of something around him, something tugging him, pulling him, back to Earth - his earth, to be precise.
  8. GM "Telekenesis? You mean like a psychic or a medium?" said the confused Annie. "Thats..." Alas, her thoughts on the matter would never be known, for she was rudely interrupted by her creation exploding. And the explosion was rude. Synapse could only hazard a guess as to how much TNT or other explosive was loaded in the Robot, but it must have been considerable. It would have produced untold destruction to life, limb, and architecture if they were in a crowded urban area. As it was, it completely ripped asunder Synapses telekinetic cage, blowing air, soot, steam and fire in all directions, not to mention shrapnel from the obliterated robot. "...by the many arms of Kali...I didn't know I had put that much in!" squealed Annie, her mohican singed and face black with soot.
  9. OK let it blow (as its disabled already!) Its a Damage 15 effect so lets see what that does... 1d20+14=19 vs DC 30 Damage that means a fail by 11, so yes, its destroyed I cant actually find any rules about what that means for the rest of you. Perhaps technically it would damage you, but as we have essentially come to the endish of the thread, I'm going to waive that - and feel free to have your hair ruffled or sunburnt face as per your wishes!
  10. "What's that think made of? Its tougher than my aunt's meat loaf!" yelled Pitch, directed at the animated statue and Wayward who was bravely fighting it. She hustled, quickly as she could, to a nearby car, in case any more feathers - or lightning bolts - or fireballs - got hurled her way. With this chaos who knew what toxic projectile would be flung. As for the statue of metal, she could only suppose it would need more than she had if they were going to take it down by breakfast the next day. Reaching insider her, further than she ever had, she dove her soul into the infernal forge, where metal and fire and molten steel poured through smoke and chains and giant clockwork wheels. All metal, all fire, touched this place, and this place touched it back. She sucked that hot steel out, and poured it into the Hero Statue, which started to heat up...
  11. Right, Pitch is going to fatigue to stunt something off her infernal forge array: Melt: Drain Toughness 7 (Extras: Affects Objects [+1], Duration [Concentration], Range [Perception]) [+2]) [32 PP] And then fire that off at the Hero Golem, which I hope hits, and then a DC 17 Reflex Save vs the Drain. Move Action: Trying to find some partial cover, perhaps behind a car or something?
  12. Sounds good! Ill say thats an opposed counter roll for any imminent explosions?
  13. The robot is obviously badly damaged, and still prone.
  14. 1d20+10=27 he is on a roll! Round 1: 32 - Foreshadow - 1 HP 21 - King Croc 11 - Synapse - 2 HP We are in low light conditions, meaning that unless you have some appropriate supersense, partial concealment to all. Foreshadow is up again! Ill throw in a grapple roll in case you want to break free / escape artist: 1d20+24=32 yoikes.
  15. GM Whilst at the other side of the Library... "<What is this American !$%£>" mumbled the first Drunk in Danish, full of contempt at the sight of the twenty dollar bill. The recipient was not, however, so discriminating. "Yes...I saw them...big strong men...like from the sagas, yes? Even you must have heard of the sagas...like Erik the Red? They were just bones and ghosts, with axes and shields and spears..." he said, almost wistfully. "I was down in Narsarsuaq, in the south, having a little drinking..." he said, fighting to stay awake. The man looked like he had been awake too long, and drunk even longer. "Might be drunk, but I saw what I saw!" he protested.
  16. GM "Arnarsaq. Like the missionary. Everybody calls me Arna, though. And if you buy me a coffee, rich, dark, and handsome, then you can too!" she smiled. "I never got coffee from a Knight before. I can't really turn down the offer, can I? You may have to show me your face properly though, without that helmet!" she said, tapping his visor. "As for a token, well, I think this is traditional!" she said again, still smiling. She brought her finger down, bringing the visor over the Black Knights face, and gave it a kiss, leaving a slight lipstick stain. "Let me know what you find, seriously. It sounds exciting!" she finished. "Hmph. Ill be dating Mr. Spooky Next" whispered Tanya under her breath, although she was pleased enough with Arna's help.
  17. GM "Little man, you are fast...but I do not fall. I slip through the waters of the Holy Nile, unseen, and then a pounce!" King Croc seemed to almost ignore Synapse and Zaki, as if a woman and an old man could not possibly be a threat. Something in his speech made him seem old, decades old. But he was not slow. Lunging forward, he grabbed Foreshadow by the arms and lifted him out of the water as if he was holding a rag doll. "You are no scrawny thing! There is meat on you!" he smiled, a ferocious smile of teeth and tongue, as he eyeballed Foreshadow with those dead black eyes.
  18. Meaning Foreshadow is Bound And synpase is up!
  19. Ooops mebad! In which case, the Croc King will try to grapple Foreshadow: 1d20+10=28 which hits, even with defensive attack. 1d20+24=36 for opposed grapple roll.
  20. The flames sucked away, as Pitch passed her gaze over the embers and fires. It required more...balance...than she was used too. But they diminished all the same. The last sprite of fire jumped to her finger, and was quenched as she closed her hand over it. Satisfied, she strode out of the building, cane in hand. She might move slowly, but with smoke and fire and leather surrounding her, she made an impressive exit (or entrance). "You are looking as hot as ever, Wayward" smiled Pitch at the rock star, with her mouth glowing behind her teeth thanks to Tazel bubbling away inside her. "This is a rough joint, but I never seen it burn up like this. What gives?" she asked all and sundry. "
  21. 1d20+12=26 Bruised and Dazed! Post awaaay! Synapse is up!
  22. Right so I make that damage 12 base + 5 power attack + 2 awesome drop elbow bonus. A mighty DC 37 Toughness Save! 1d20+15=27 fail by 10 meaning disabled, staggered, and dazed! Post awaaaay!
  23. Next round, Ex! For now, Synapse is up! (and has a notice roll!) (The drop elbow is awesome, however!) EDIT: As you are surging (for a fatigue), you can get another attack in: An Elbow Drop! As its prone you get a +4 to your attack roll. In addition, I will say the weight of the drop gives you another +2 Damage bonus for being flat out awesome.
  24. 1d20+14=20 It tumbles to the ground! So a thirty foot drop is a damage 3 effect, I am adding 5 to that due to the fact that boulders are flying and its a bad surface to land on: a damage 8 Effect (DC 23 Toughness) 1d20+15=27 which it makes, although it is still prone! Round 2: 12 - Synpase - 3 HP - Unharmed 12 - Annie - Unharmed 9 - GSPR (Giant Steam Powered Robot) - Unharmed - Prone 2 - Ulysses - 1 HP - Unharmed - On cliff. To note: Ulysses toughness would allow him to jump off the cliff and suffer no damage (due to impervious) Synpase gets a DC 20 Notice Roll
  25. GM "Whoa! What is this? What are you doing!" screamed Annie in fear as she departed the side of the mountain. Disorientated would be the word. Although scared might also be added. Settling down on the ground, she pulled out her Rivet Gun and fired a spray of bolts upwards, but she was clearly shaken by the flight, her copper balls splattering across the mountain, but missing the robot. "How did you do that? With wires? Like the stage magicians?" she asked, green in her face. The Giant Robot shook all four of its legs, like it was awakening. Its power was immense, a match for Ulysses. Rock and rubble dislodged, tumbling to the ground, and a slab of mountain fell away from Ulysses grip, threatening to send him tumbling to the ground with the rest of the rock...
