Monday March 5th In the worst slums of Freedom City Night time, decorated by a sprinkling of atmospheric rain. A fuzzy moon shone in the night sky. Here and there, betwixt the cloud cover, stars twinkled. It was a cold night, but the air was still. The drizzling rain fell down straight, rather than driving into your face. Still, one would have to wrap up warm or seek cover to see the morning. Even the homeless of Freedom of City knew that. The newest version of the Archer had got wind of a new drug that was been tested on the vagrants of Freedom City. Something that burned you up - sometimes literally. Increased strength and raised body temperature. Might keep you warm on dark nights, they said. And free. If you came to the right places, like here. A gaggle of homeless had gathered around a drum-fire and were asking a heavy set thug in a leather jacket about the drug. The thug was pointing at his companion, a tall, spindly woman, bald headed, bad skin, who was looking very much like she was on some kind of horse tranquiliser - barely standing up.

Dr North is clearly befuddled, possibly lying (although he is too confused too know if he is lying to himself...) DC 20 Medicine or Knowledge: Behavioural Sciences

24 and 13 for Baz, which I think makes him bruised and dazed

GM The Ringmistress drew her bedsheets closer to her skin, curling up like a baby. "The chemical? You saw it? We bought it. From some smugglers down south... I didn't ask where it came from, I just heard it had this particular quality." She peered at the Tattered Man carefully. "You know Bedlam, right? Everyone here is an animal already. We just made it honest. At least animals dont pretend to be civilised. This whole place should return to the jungle. Pffft!" she spat. "I've seen more brutality here than in ten life times. Where do you think I got this scar?" she asked, pointing to her face. "And that's just the scar on the inside. The ones in my heart... they...." she grew a tear. "Well, you dont look like the man who would care about a woman's heart. But you do seek vengeance, dont you? Vengeance on who? I can help...."

18 well and truly intimidated!

GM The bound woman in chains gave the two women a look that blended spite and hope. Her long jet black hair lay tousled over her face. Away from the heat of Mr Silk and the scissors, she straightened, but it was obvious that her back was hunched. Kyphoscoliosis; twisting and curvature of her spine. The rest of her body looked rather broken, too. Genetics had not been kind to her bone structure. "Who are you?" she spat. "Let me out of here and untold treasures will be yours, I promise!" "Come, you can surely break these bonds, can't you?" Despite het broken body, her voice was like chocolate - pure, smooth, seductive.

So for the record! Mr Silk - Staggered, Unconscious Raven - Bruised x2, HP 3 Tsunami - Unharmed, HP 2

Gamma Buzz "Oh sure... tents and stuff. I can do that!" In fact, this time, Gamma Buzz knew what he was talking about. Living in poverty in Mexico - well, one had to adapt. And tents, he had constructed and lived in. Not pleasant, but better to live in a tent than live under the stars. For the most part. Even if stars were twinkly and pretty. He knew the cold was no problem. At least, not for himself. He had a nuclear furnace in his belly keeping him warm. But this was a survival class and the others needed shielding. If he didnt have the ban on powers, he would have happily irradiated the ground with his incredible non lethal radiation, providing warmth for them all. He silently seethed at his inability to show off his amazing gamma powers, but he could still do the tent. He did a few backflips, just to look cool whilst doing it.

GM The kick hit, despite the frightening speed and skill of Mr Silk. It connected with the very tip of his chin, but his head barely moved; a neck loaded with powerful muscles prevented the skull from shifting. His eyes narrowed slightly - newfound respect? newfound determination. He bent his knees, going into a crazy buddha pose... "Your Kung Fu really is pathetic. No match for my Drunken Buddha pose!" he declared, before spinning in an opposite direction, and punching Raven right in the gut!

Back to Mr. Silk This time he will try a fast acrobatic bluff: Getting 14 which will not get anywhere. Although his Punch hets 27 which is a hit - and a DC 21 Tough Save
-
Yeah a 30 hits! (his Defence is +16!) 25 for his toughness (he gets lucky this time too!) so shakes it off. Post IC then ill do his retaliation!

GM Mr Silk leaned away, his reflexes sharp as a snake. His head movement was minimal; precisely enough to let the Raven's claw pass his cheek by an inch - no more, no less. His movement was almost contempuous. "I was dodging blowpipe darts and shuriken every day by the time I was ten," he scoffed. "It will take more than your little toys to scratch me." He shuffled forward. "I was beating street thugs twice your size by the time I was half your size. Their skulls popping like watermelons under my fists. I could gouge out eyes and break spines with ease. The streets were littered with the dead and those that merely wished they were dead. Hospitals were filled with the maimed. Kung Fu masters, proud of their skill, no longer dared to train me." He spun round and unleased a fast, powerful, and precisely accurate kick at Madame Raven. "I dream of the day someone provides me with any challenge..."

GM "Assistance? Yes... I need to ask you for assistance..." mumbled Dr North, pressing his fingers to his temples as if in pain. "Could... maybe... yes... could I have an asprin? I am feeling rather hot..." he said, tugging at his shirt. Sweat rolled down his skin. He looked hot, that was for sure. "Yes, an asprin. Maybe that was what I was supposed to ask you for. Although... my purpose? my purpose was something else... now what was it?" He shook his head. "Do I fool you? was that it?" he asked Predator. "Yes, do I fool you?"

Great thanks Thevshi So that will Miss the King Fu Expert Mr Silk, who will use Move action: Startle Feint - Getting 24 And then a +2 Power attack roll - Getting 18 which will miss unless the feint is successful. If it does hit, DC 23 Tough Save

Starshot With a flick of a metal thumb from his metal hand, Starshot took the pin out of the Gas Grenade. "We want you!" he said from the shadows, and lobbed the grenade into the centre of the cultists. The impact caused it to split, and propel its chemical gas iaround the cave. It was a light green colour, barely noticeable to the eye, but it would bring out the eyes and skin of most creature into a stinging opera. Wasting no time, Starshot dropped to the ground, his Plasma Rifle in his other hand, ready to fire...

Lobbing a gas grenade! Nauseate 5, Cloud Area effect (Fort Save) Pretty mild opener, but lets see what they are made of As a move action, he will drop to the ground (he has prone fighting so that means no penalties, and a bit of ranged protection )

Haven "Dutch courage?" asked Haven, sweeping his hand accross the various drinks and raising an eyebrow at the Lion. Yes indeed. Someone likes a certain book, or perhaps the film adaptation, quite a lot. A woodman without a heart, a Lion without courage. But I dont recall a bar in the book. Haven studied the glasses - what filenames? Perhaps some kind of virus, or bug, that would distort the imbiber? "I'm looking for a white list..." he started, studying the Lion carefully. "Would you happen to know anything about it?"

Round 1 33 - Madame Raven - Unharmed - 3 HP 30 - Mr Silk - Unharmed

GM Madame Raven's cape was super - quite the super cape. It felled the aide in one swoop, knocking his feet from the concrete floor, and letting his head smack into that same floor with a resounding thud. The aide was completely knocked out. Mr Silk shuffled his feet slightly. Madame Ravan could tell it was the preparation for an attack; a martial art stance. Kung Fu - but what style. Mr Silk raised his fists in a classic pose. What was this? He had the classic training, for sure, but also those hands were not limited to ancient dance like kata, but they were hands that were used to dirty street fighting, too. And he was about to pounce...
