GM And so, shortly... Al Driogo had more than one mansion, but this one was just outside Freedom City, and by the coast. A splendid yacht was docked. The place had high walls and security camera's, and an immodest amount of land, from carefully kept lawns, to rolling waves of flowers and shrubs, to a small wild corner of trees and undergrowth. The mansion itself was rather old, and even slightly crumbly. It had a slightly weathered look, its wood and brick needing a lick of paint. Still, there was no doubt it was a place of luxury. And whilst there were a couple of guards at the gate, Al Driogo himself was not at home...
  3. It was a good question. Flying the Xeno around was tempting, but Starshot preferred the nitty gritty down to earth approach, and he suspected Seika would to. The best chance they had was... "Start from the scene of the crime. Were did you find the bodies? Lets see if my tall friend and I can find a trail. May have gone cold, but we might be lucky. From the looks of those claws, its something big. That might be bad for us when we find it, but we can hope it will make it easier to find in the first place..." "If you can take use there, we can see..."
  4. falt footed that is a full +5 bonus to DC and his roll is....1d20+5=6 as you have takedown attack, you can have a pop at number 2!
  5. Ok, made a few minor corrections (like Grapple) And APPROVED!
  6. 1d20+4=23 unbelievable! Post awaaaay! Round 2 27 - Foreshadow - Unharmed - 1 HP 19 - Crocmen [2] = Unharmed (1 disarmed) 17 - Synapse - Unharmed - 2 HP
  7. GM A sly look came over Annie as she listened. "Other worlds? Free? This...this I would like to see..." she confessed. "I had heard rumors, myths of other worlds. The Royal Society of Metaphysical Engineering...Miss Henrietta Wells....As usual, the society would not accept a woman to their 'hallowed' ranks..." she spat. "She had found these other worlds?" she asked, clenching her fist. "Where there is freedom? Real freedom? No armies, no money, no oppression?" she asked, almost angry with herself for believing such a utopia existed. But then, Annie Key seemed to have plenty of anger damned up - or pouring out - about anything and everything.
  8. Which means Synapse is up!
  9. GM "<Infidel! Die! The Crocodile King will Kill you and kill you until you die!>" screamed the man who dropped his gun. Instead, he pulled his sharp and curved sword, and gave a furious swing at Foreshadow, who was simply to fast for the man. "<Infidel! You shall be but cracked bones in the mouth of the King! May he sup your marrow!>" shouted the other one. Crack crack crack crack crack! The bullets spat out at point blank range, the crocodile cultist spraying, and, appropriately, praying. Bullets flew through the air and into the dawn.
  10. Post awaaaay! The disarmed Crocman will, as a move action, draw his sword, and swipe! 1d20+5=21 miss And the other Crocman will fire his submachine gun...pyow pyow pyow! He is using autofire to fire at all three of you: 1d20+3=18, 1d20+3=5, 1d20+3=21 Miss, miss, Zaki catches one, and a DC 19 Toughness Save. EDItL Zaki out of sight, so no result!
  11. GM "What's wrong? What's wrong? Look around you!" commanded the Admiral, standing up. He looked like he had been up for a week without sleep or food, but he still had a military discipline to him. "You stopped me before. But you can't stop this..." he gestured about the bridge of the walker. "There is someone, someone far worse than I, someone dark, deep, and cold. I came to him for help after you crushed my plans. I told him of this. This weapon of war, created, in secret, as a weapon against Atlantis. Not even the government knows of this. Off the books. But I knew. I was party to its creation...and I told him...." "Atlantis may be an ally, but a fragile one. We had no response to them, on a military level. We needed a response, and this is it. The deep walker...able to create underwater earthquakes, tsunamis...a nuclear powered spider with sonic disruptors. A weapon of deterence...not to be used..." He collapsed back into the captains chair. "And now...he has it. Everything that drowns is his..." he said in despair.
  12. GM "Well now, ho ho ho, I seemed to have overplayed my hand, have I not? Quite the pickle I have landed myself in" he explained, stretching languidly. "But that is the beauty of it all...the gamble...the excitement! I had a magnificent time!" he declared raising his finger to the heavens in a victory, of sorts. "Now, I really must confess to being reluctant to leave this resplendent body. But, as you say, it is evidence. And I am sure I would find prison rather tedious, to say the least. I can do without the necessities in life, but I must have the luxuries!" He patted his cybernetic belly. "Bon Voyage, dear flesh and steel! It was quite the...blast!" As quick as you like, he started to rumble....the power building up inside him....
  13. Post away - I believe you are up again!
  14. 1d20+4=22, 1d20+4=17 one is disarmed! (Although you may want to expend HP!) In any case, Foreshadow gets a gist that they are unusually, but not superhumanly, strong.
  15. Yes indeed! Stronghold is up!
  16. 1d20+6=23 Reflex 1d20+11=24 Toughness
  17. GM The door creaked open, screaming for some oil. Rust ground against rust. It must have been quite a push to open it. It was heavy and old, and probably beyond your average man. Behind, to Foreshadows lack of surprise, were two men holding submachine guns. They were dressed like the Camel Riders who had attacked them on the road, except now there was light (of sorts - a flickering set of bulbs in the windowless building) and they were close up. Predictably, they were wearing crocodile skins. Swords hung at their belts, short, sharp and curved. There eyes were wide, and fanatical. And they smelled bad. Not just unkempt, but with a peculiar greasy and livid smell.
  18. 1d20+1=19 for the Crocmen [2] 27 - Foreshadow - Unharmed - 1 HP 19 - Crocmen [2] = Unharmed 17 - Synapse - Unharmed Foreshadow is up! The Crocmen are on the alert, so will not be flat footed. They are minions.
  19. So if you post your leap of faith, Ill give you the sights as you plummet!
  20. GM As Argonaut swooped down, Agent Hand started and spun, his gun in, appropriately, his hand. "Argonaut! I should have guessed they would send you! I had hoped it would just be an agent or two, but I guess they think I am more of a threat" He closed one eye and took aim. "And they would be right! Agent Hand would be just your regular agent gone 'bad'" he explained, twisting the last word like a mockery of the whole concent. "But I am more than just Henry Hand now. You can call me the Handyman!" he said he squeezed the trigger of his blaster pistol, and a bolt of ionic energy flew straight into Argonauts helmet.
  21. Round 1 15 - Handyman - Unharmed 14 - Argonaut - Unharmed - 1 HP 10 - Stronghold - Unharmed - 2 HP Handyman is going to take a pop shot at Argonaut with a certified AEGIS blaster pistol (Damage 5) as a standard action, and move to the Kawana household front door as a move action. 1d20+10=30 A critical attack, meaning a DC 25 Toughness save for Argonaut, and then she is up!
  22. Ok for Skydiving lets have some Notice and Acrobatics Rolls? Could you throw me three of the former (DC 5, 15, and 25), and one of the latter (untrained if you wish, DC 10) to stop getting buffeted around and lose Grunt (assuming you do actually want to keep in sight of him).
  23. GM "Are you mad? You have no idea where he went? Skydiving into a gas giant?" gasped Blood, shocked at the audacity of Roulettes plan. "Thats what I call a plan" grinned Grunt, truly impressed at the audacity of it, and sealing his own armoured suit, giving a thumbs up. "I...I don't know what to say" stammered the Captain. "That's the most foolhardy and heroic thing I have ever heard of..." he gulped, as he opened the airlock. Blood was fuming, torn up at the thought of the other two skydiving without her. But...she didn't go, and was incandecent with herself for not following. "I'm not going down there with you two absolute lunatics!" she screamed at them, displacing her own anger onto Grunt and Roulette. The former just ignored her. The airlocked opened, a blast of air pressure difference. The ship had indeed entered low orbit around the planet, the atmosphere here was thin, but not absent. Down, down...the atmosphere was a blend of clouds and colours below...
  24. For a completely barking mad plan, have an HP - Roulette - Unharmed - 5 HP
  25. GM At the sound of "Media" Sister White stopped, uncertain. "I don't want this place...in the limelight" she said, laced with bitterness at the concept. "That would be...cruel..." she said, twisting the words around her tongue. "What do you want here anyway? Are you seeking to...help?" she asked, once again twisting the words. "You twist my arm, and apply thumbscrews. Very well, you have the better of me, and the better of my judgement. I am powerless to resist. So come then, unwelcome as you are, come and do what you will to the helpless homeless and my own helpless self, and my eyes shall be upon you at all time. The sooner you leave, the better for all..." she said, sharp and tight. She bade a stiff welcome to the pair, showing them into the Mission of Mercy, to the tune of some grumbles from a few hobos outside, not best pleased with Sister Mercy being apparently harrassed.
