GM "I am just a messenger for Dr Ring" explained Ms D. "I am not party to his every thought, although I know much. My talent is gathering information. And selling it. Its a commodity I am very good at dealing with" She gestured to the Van. "I can take you to him. Although you may want to fly" she said with some warmth. "Pardon me, but I prefer four wheels on the ground than taking to the air" "What I can tell you is that Dr Ring is a genius, and he has created his own Frankensteins monster. A monster he feels responsible for, and guilty about. Knocking on official doors for help will land both him and his creation in hot water. And he would rather solve this quietly" she explained.

GM The Man in Dancia's arms giggled hysterically and gave the Superheroine a look with slightly divergent eyes. He flapped his arms and shouted "Mooooo!" in the style of a cow before addressing her directly. "Fear not young lady! Supercow will save you! Look, I can fly!" he said enthusiastically, waving his arms up and down with exceptional vigour. Despite the power of Count Necromme's spell, it would not last forever. The madness was beginning to ablate, although some fires had been set, some injuries had accrued, file alarms and sprinklers blared through the air. It had served its purpose - as Dancia landed by Maelstrom and her microphone, the panic and lunacy had abided to the occasional yelp and gibber.

GM "Dear me, dear me..." said the Rattled Duke, still sparking away. "What is all this talk of being useful? Why, I find being useless is the only really useful thing to do!" he chortled. "No no, I am a work of art, and I cannot abide undue termination. Oh, I am sure when the last particle is ripped apart at the end of the universe I will come to accept right and proper termination, but not till then. Why, I have had such fun. It is the age of miracles, and we have a troupe of strange and magnificent actors, like your good selves!" he said, giving them a broad smile with arcs of electricity dancing between his teeth. He paused a moment. "I confess I do not believe, despite all my plans, that I can defeat you. Perhaps, my little buttercup, on another day. Perhaps just the one of you. But I had not fully comprehended the speed of Velocity or the rage of Grimalkin..." "And so, where does this lead you? Will you arrest me? Will you slay me? Will you try to convict me, of crimes unproven and unwitnessed? Will you seize the law into your own hands? Dismantle this body? Try to claw back the atom of speed I have stolen from you?" he asked, earnestly, with another wicked and amused smile on his face.

"As long as you got the goods, seems like the General is paying" said Starshot to Uloc, moving closer to the object. He studied it, peering at its lines and colours. He had no idea what it was at all. Perhaps, perhaps a piece of a bigger puzzle. It was like seeing a piece of a jigsaw, the kind he had when he was young, so long ago, with his family. Before it all went to hell. If you had just one piece, you could not place it, or recognise it. It was only when the whole came together that you could see what it was. "Can't say I like the look of it much. If I asked what it did, would I get an answer?"

Axel had phoned her up. Word was spreading fast around the various biker outfits. Who was it? The Gaschuggers? The Blacksmokers? Nobody knew. Some new girl gang? "Fire me up!" commanded Carmen Canto to the scurrilous demon in her belly, who obeyed with a spit. Her body was wrapped in smoke and licks of flame. Her eyes glowed, and her mouth roared red, hinting at the inferno inside her. Her clothes burned into studded leather and scorched metal. She didn't even need her bike. It was fire, and there was surely some metal in the bar. From a doorhandle to a beer tap, something was in the fire, and something was hot. And any hot metal was connected to the dimension of fire and steel, of endless smoke and molten iron, of chains and grinding cogs. The Infernal Forge. And through it, she dove, straight into the heart of Czarnachy

GM Mere Argo-moments later... Argonaut flew through the air to catch Agent Hand in the act. And so she did; for Hand had wasted no time in tracking down Agent Kawena. She saw him, in the dark, striding, boldly, to the Kawena household. The standard incospicious black-grey suit, with gun in hand and a grenade in the other. He did not pace fast, and did not stroll slowly. It was just a measured, alert walk to the Kawena household...

GM A flicker later... The lights flickered and went out. A dim red light followed, from emergency lighting, giving the lounge a very spooky feel. The chief Engineer, smoked stained and singed, walked into the lounge, clearly somewhat frazzled. "That's it. Best I can do..." he coughed. "I have diverted all power to the engines, or at least, the ones that still work. We can steer, at least, even maintain orbit. But escaping orbit...that's going to be pushing the babies. Might blow out more, and then we go falling" he explained. "But we have limited power. I pushed everything into the engines. Even life support. You want anything else, we start dropping. Not fast, but...drop we will..." Grunt just grunted again, his armoured suit ready for action. "I came here to collect. That's what I'm going to do. We scan for him, drop orbit if we have to. Then steer this ship to him, collect the bounty..." "And then what?" coughed Blood, a little recovered. "Hold tight till we get collected" grunted the Dog-Man. "I can do that...but we will be in low orbit around the planet. Windy, dangerous..." said the Engineer, who clearly did not like the prospect.

Pitch ducked under the flying Wayward, feeling the crunch of power. I can't lift the damn thing.. Which was frustrating and vexing. It weighed a ton. At least in her mind. Which was all that really counted. Lifting the statue felt like her mind was being squeezed out of her skull. So she just raised a fist, felt the anger and flame and smoke and fury flow through her, and clenched it, tight like a vice, focussing all that power into a crushing force around the statue.

Ok so just going for a crush on the Hero Golem: A perception range TK attack except just damage rather than grapple, so a DC 26 Tough Save.
-
The Mess pounded away - left, right, uppercut. Dodge, weave, jab jab, uppercut. But he was only pounding at air. "Hey why don't these guys stay still?" he shouted, pausing for a moment before swinging again. Wild and telegraphed, and too darn slow. "I ain't feeling these guys, they give me the creeps!" he yelled, swinging wide again. And they did give him the creeps, a little tingle up his spine. He wasn't treating them light fighters, but like wild beasts out of his childhood nightmares.

GM Lucy Diamond gave a glittering sparkling smile at Yonug Brittania, a tear rolling down her cheek at the same time. "He got us. He got us all. Even me. Tee Hee" she muttered. Y Dderwen frowned. "She always says that. She was never that...stable...anyhow. A tree with no roots, poor thing. A flower in the wind. Headcase feared her. Well, he feared everyone, but Lucy the most. Her mind..." he tapped his own wooden head. "...he couldn't change it, you see. She was immune to his little tamperings. That scared him. He didn't know what she was thinking" Lucy gasped in fear. "He still got us. Got us all. You. Me. Him. He was dying and afraid. And we were young and strong. He got us. Got us good..." she whispered. Y Dderwen sat down, sprouting roots. "I'm not young. I feel older than ever. One day, I will set roots and dream without waking. You are right. The land belongs to men now, to gouge and bore and furrow. The old beauty is gone. May the way of men hold another kind of beauty. But it is not for me. And yet...yet there is strength left in root and branch and rock and earth" he said defiantly. "I don't know where Headcase is. Champion, he fled, fled far. The Faroe Islands. Cold, bleak, and distant..."

GM Ulysses slumped to the floor, out cold, dropping Annie with her, who crawled out of the powerhouses grip. She pulled her gun free, and pionted it at Synapse. "Why? Why did you do that?" she asked, disorientated from both the fall of Ulysses and the words of Synapse. "Are you a sister in the struggle?...you don't need to be a slave anymore, sister....you have the gifts of a guru, a psychic, a medium...use them! Tear down this oppressive civilization! We don't need anyone to tell us what to do! Let civilization burn, like Rome!" She struggled up, rivet gun in her hand, but less than clear what to do. She had it pointed at Synapse, but it seemed half hearted at best.

GM Knock knock...Knock.........Knock....Knock A simple enough percussive pattern, even for the unmusical. A slight scattering of rust ended up on Foreshadow's fingers. A resounding ring. A creak. A pause... The door opened slowly, with two men behind it. Armed with Assault Rifles. Armed and Ready....A hail of bullets slammed from flashing barrels, crack crack crack crack....tearing into Zaki, Foreshadow, and Synapse... But not yet. As the door started to open, grinding and groaning, slow and heavy, Foreshadow got a glimpse of the future, or one possible future...

"Dont ask me, I'm no Nuclear Physicist" replied the Rat. "I studied art and philosophy at university. And that was fifty years ago. And I was kicked out after a year" she added, to emphasise the point. "Thing is, I don't exactly know everything about this safehouse. Like, how did they build it on Freedom City under the noses of everyone?" she wondered aloud. She could only explain it via some Superhero power. She could only hope that whatever power was used was now either too old or two dead to resurface. "As far as I know, nobody knows it is here. Except, presumeably, the people who put it there in the first place. But that may have been decades ago. If you dig deep enough in the Kremlin vaults, you may get an answer. But I don't think many people have that kind of pull. Probably not even the people who worked in the Kremlin" After all, Bureaucracy was everywhere.

GM "Prosperity? Prosperity? Man should be free. The nut, the bolt, the spanner, the wrench...these should be the tools of men, rather than men be slave to the tools!" she said, wriggling without the slightest effect. "What matter prosperity? No, I spit on it! I spit and spit again! India shall be free of the wretched English, Woman shall be free of man! No government! No leader! No army! No sword or musket! Tis the only way to truly live!" she shouted, red cheeked with fury. "My wretched father cared nothing for my mother, only his precious England, only his precious Empire! He broke her heart and killed her, as surely as he had put knife 'twixt rib! No, 'tis time to break all rules, rend all laws, and tear all chains!" she said, shouting with ferocity and conviction, with little room for debate on the matter.

GM The last strike spun the Duke around full circle, seeing stars...he came down in a shower of sparks, on one knee, face hung. "Impossible! Impossible! This body has the strength of a hundred men! It was charged, charged beyond my hopes and expectations by your speedy friend. I won't be beaten...I won't! not this body! years of work, of painstaking research, experimentation, trail, and error...then to plan...to get your friend here, to speed it up..." He shook is head. "As pretty as your butterfly wings are, my pretty, I shall have to pluck them! You are a wild, feral thing. To see you is to delight, but from afar, I think, yes, from afar. You were not in my plan, my delicate little flower. How foolish I was, mayhap blinded by your sparkling!"
-
