GM A quick securing later... Whatever else the Deep Walker had, a lock up it did not. The best that could be done was an airlock on the strange vessel. This was not as bad as it sounded; said airlock also functioned as a depressurisation chamber. It was secure, and tight. Creeping around the walker was a dark affair. Lights flickered, and a few inches of water were everywhere along the steel corridors. It had the feeling of a cold, dark, cave. Something ominous and claustrophobic about it. The multitude of doors everywhere did not help one bit, each one thick and heavy, able to withstand flooding. But, thankfully, large as the Walker was, it was far from gigantuan. It was a small walk to the Bridge, and all roads seemed to lead to it, a large room, at the "front" of the Walker, with thick maxi glass peering out to the desolate ocean depths. Floodlights illuminated the path of the walker ahead. Flickering lights and semi functioning controls were littered more liberally here. It was empty though, bar the captains chair. A man sat their, in shadow first of all, muttering to himself. Then, the chair spun round. Tsunami recognised him at once. He looked up, fear in his eyes, his face haggard. He was an man approaching his later years, white haired, experienced eyes, and a scar or two. A lean man, but leaner now, almost emaciated, with a hollow terror in his eyes. "Don't come closer!" he muttered to the group of heroes and marines. "This all wrong, so terribly, terribly wrong..."

GM The Huntsman's shoulder split asunder under Skaeres Jaws, tearing muscle and sinew. His linen suit was not only torn from fang, but stained with blood. "Aaargh!" he said through gritted teeth. "I have been bitten before, she-wolf! And no doubt bitten again! It...it just adds to the fury of the hunt..." he said, sagging in strength slightly as the teeth sank in. Perhaps, now, the realisation that he had bitten more than he could chew...the beginnings of doubt...crept into his so far fearless mind. "What will you do then? Tear me asunder? Let the soil and roots feed on my blood and marrow? or is that a feast that you will savour, you cannibal!" he challenged.

"That's right Mister" said the Hound, politely. A slight tingle went up his spine at the name. It sounded just like the name of a Mafia Boss. And, being a paranoid fearful fellow, he couldn't help but imagine that the reason it sounded just like the name of a Mafia Boss, was because it was the name of a Mafia Boss. "It sure is a swell place you got here Mister Vendetti. Really classy. I always loved horses, and the races" he lied. "Jerry here, well, he was kind enough to give us a tour of the place. Very impressive, Mister Vendetti, real impressive" he said, adjusting his tie to no avail. "Sorry about Mister Tony. He sounded like a stand up guy. Real sad what happened" he said, shaking his head.

GM The children needed little encouragement to take the money. And little encouragement to run away as fast as their little legs could carry them, arguing about what to do with the unexpected windfall. Tell their parents? Buy food? Buy Ice Cream? The choices were endless and the first option was sure to loose out. The sun was rising now, warming the Nile and the stones and the concrete. It was a beautiful sight, all else said, although driving through the night was a tiresome business, fuelled by adrenaline and excitement. Zaki looked most tired, at his age staying up all night took its toll on him. He had a slightly grumbled haggard look to his eyes. "Here we are then, just as I thought. And protected by some local myth. I would not be surprised if it was just that, a constructed myth to scare away those who would knock on door..."

GM "Really? Getting weak are you..." said the Rat, slowly walking around Bloodline. "Weaker and weaker...weaker and weaker...and soon, Daybreak and his ridiculous group of weak minded fanatics will be coming...especially if they were...guided...Quite a treat, I would think...rich blood, flowing freely..." "But Daybreak is not quite the easy feast, is he? No, he wishes to wipe you and your kind from the face of the earth. And...I can smell it on him...he has wiped quite a few deathless bloodfeasters from the face of the earth already. He is good at it. Perhaps you will be his next victory? Or perhaps he will be your next feast...who can say...who can say..." said the rat in a cold voice. "You give me little, dead one. But if you do happen upon a demon, you will feed me it?" he asked, pressing for answer.

You can essentially do strength damage automatically in a grapple. In this case let's say your bite auto hits?

Indeed so. However, Well informed essentially allows gather information as a reaction...no searching needed, you just know it already. I wouldn't let this question bog down the thread. Go with what feels good.
-
An interesting question, as Online research implies some (even if nominal) time looking things up, and Well-Informed is a reaction, indicating "I happen to already know..." I think the best way to resolve that is use the 21 result instantly, and the 31 result assuming she takes a minute to trawl through lots of papers and information online.

GM "You couldn't force me if you tried, lassie" said the oaken man, standing up tall and proud, all four feet of him. Despite his heigh, he was stocky, and his eyes ancient. He was proud, and willfull, even obstinate. "Down at the village? Poor Lucy happened. Anyone who touches her, they go crazy, like her. Except she has years of practice trying to keep it together. The group she was hiding with, her old friends, she drove them mad. You saw what happened.." he answered, sadly. "As for Vanguard? I want nothing more to do with them. Nor does Lucy" he said, throwing a glance at his charge, who whispered some celtic poetry almost silently, lost in herself. "Champion shut it down, the whole thing. Shut down the Sanctuary. Said we were finished. Then he tried to kill Headcase, saying he was trying to use us all, saying Headcase wanted to take over the whole damn country" "Not sure who I believed. Headcase was a nasty little man, paranoid and scared. Maybe he was plotting something, I don't know. Then again, Champion had been...loosing it, recently. Depressed, angry. Drunk. Who knows what happened? The whole thing was a mess. I took poor Lucy away from it. Poor girl had done enough for her country, giving it her all, and getting nothing back but food for her lunacy" he said, spitting on the ground in contempt. A small weed blossomed briefly where his spit had landed.

GM "Dont you know who I am?" "I'm Annie Key! I can derail anything!" she said, defiantly, all rags, tags, and punk hair. She would not have looked too out of place in some of the social outlets that Synapse circled. She backed away, sure footed and careful. Behind Ulysses, the machine she was worked on clanged and ground to a halt, and in a few seconds, was on fire. One could only hope it would not spread to the dynamite stored under moth eaten cloth. Annie raised her odd pistol, a rivet gun of some sorts, all brass, copper, and steam. With one eye closed, she pressed the trigger and a small spinning bolt of hard steel flew through the air, ready to drill its way into Ulysses...

"Bravo! Bravo!" clapped Rene. His mystic ink had painted both he and Ms Grue as ushers, giving him a youthful, vital appearance. But the tear down his cheek...the croak in his voice....the tremble in his hand. He had been born more than two centuries ago. He knew early on that he loved men, and not in the platonic sense. As enlightened as France would become, he was born in days of religious doctrine, and persecution. The loves he had had, would not dare speak its name. Always in the shadows, different, excluded, despised, feared. Never accepted. And now, two men could marry. If any further force of joy and optimism was needed, Rene supplied a flood of it.

GM "What unholy force drives you! Why wont you stop! How do you keep going?" said Tonic, sinking to his knees and raising his fists at the heavens, caught in despair. But, quick as mercury were his moods. He bounded to his feet again. "Exhausted, are you? Well, you know what the doctor orders? Bedrest!" He picked up a hospital bed, lying abandoned in the corridor, and held it over his head, laughing. "What that, you say? Give him it? In the face, you say?" he said, eyes focussing on his hallucinations for one moment. "With pleasure!" he finished, throwing the bed full force, like a cannon... ...less than an inch past Geckomans left ear.
-
Ok so he fails that (I rolled but lost the link) So, move action: Pick up a Hospital bed. Standard Action, Hurl it at -2: 1d20+8=21 Even with -3 Defence, Geckoman has a +12 Defence, which just spares him! Round 3 15 Geckoman - 3 HP - Exhausted - In Wheelchair. 7 Tonic - Staggered

GM The Kawena Household... Agent Kawena smiled and laughed, and was pleased to find it was only half-forced. He just hoped Agent Huggit "Had his back". He had asked for family relocation, but Huggit had persuaded him that he was putting their best agent onto protection duty. And besides, his family was settled in Freedom City. Running away would, in a sense, let Hand know he had won... The vaults of AEGIS...If Hand gets his fingers onto even a small fraction of them... He shook his head free from such thoughts. "Lets just stay in tonight, order some Pizza, and watch some bad TV, huh?" he asked his family. Meanwhile... The car was silver, and just short of ostentatious. A fast sports car, clean and slick. It was parked a few hundred yards away, giving a prime view of the Kawehana household. Inside, a man was looking at the house through high powered binoculars. He had a rugged face, with stubble and short cut hair. One or two scars lines his face. It was the very same face that Argonaut had just seen. The face of Henry Hand. His mouth broke into a grin.
-
GM AEGIS briefing room... "Fake items? We can't do that, at least, at this short notice. Perhaps, to the casual eye, but Hand is an experienced AEGIS agent. He won't be fooled easily. Which is why Agent Kaewna is the bait. Human bait" "I don't like it, Argonaut, but that's all we have. And even that is a long shot. Kawena is in charge of dangerous exotic artefacts, and Hand knows it. If he can get the information out of Kawena...but we have taken precautions. A hypnotic mind wipe of the information from Kawena" he explained. "What we need is for Kawena to be protected. We could send some agents, or even Super-MAX armor to do so, but it will scare Hand off. This is a calculated risk. We need you to observe Kawena from afar, and step in if you see Hand. Providing Hand does not see you first" Huggit switched off the projector, Hands file fading from the whitewall. He didn't like the situation, and he didn't like the solution. He had several other cards up his sleeves, of course, to track Hand...but this was there best, and riskiest, shot.

GM Some ushering and organisation later... Varis was a big ship and well built. But there was no question, it was sinking. The Lor Supersplicer was cramped, designed for speed and speed alone. For the rich guests it would be an almost intolerable cramp. Even with the best will in the world, the Superslicer could only just take on board the guests. Whether its life support system would work for such a number was another matter... That still left the Varis crew...in particular, Captain Gellis, Steward Vam, Engineer Parx, and six others, two pilots, two technicians, the cook and the hostess. And the Varis was starting to hit turbulance... Parx was trying his best with the engines. They looked like they could be repaired...but it was a question of time... Blood, despite her injuries and the loss of her gun, was still as determined as Grunt. Captain Gellis sat in his captains chair or the bridge, his squat body tight. "We are going into low orbit around Kapler-7..." he explained to the three bounty hunters. "We still don't know where Photonic is, or indeed if he is still alive...and most importantly, why did he jump out of the ship down to the planet?"

1d20+12=22 Im giving him +2 but still fails. The question is, is that a demoralise effect or a trick (to get him to attack)?

The kid was stronger than he looked. Starshot had never seen such strength. The Kid looked stronger than he was, even, and with all of Zaul's generic "improvements", Starshot was in peak condition. Still, throwing rocks around made them sitting targets for the next grenade...or worse. He jumped down to the Jungle, making his way through the twisted trees and plants. "Chop Chop!" quipped his hand, blade extended, as he slashed through some of the Jungle. He looked around...with all the thick flora around, somebody, somewhere, must have left a trail, a mark...a something. Unless they were truly lords of the Hunt...
-
Starshot will see if he can pick up a trail, 1d20+10=25 pretty good. Going to make a search of the area where the trail starts, see if he can pick up any clues: 1d20+2=11 well, pretty bad unless there is something blatant there.
