  1. Would I? Why yes! That is awesome! Technically thats an opposed roll, but in this circumstance I will say the Obscure is a power 3 effect and you have a +5 Circumstance bonus (being a tunnel to channel and funnel all that air). So, essentially, as the Obscure rolled 1d20+3=10 then you cannot fail to do that. Post away!
  2. GM Nothing could be seen, only heard. The sound of an engine rumbling, pouring out smoke. The sounds of hurt and injured Thugee. The sound of Annie Keys rivet gun clicking. The sound of her boots as she stepped towards the two heroes. Not without a pondering caution, but without trepidation. Annie was used to mines and smokes, and operating without her eyes. Nothing seen, only heard. And felt. Synapse felt Annie bump into her, a scuffle of groping hands and shifting weight. "Oh fiddlesticks!" cursed Annie, before a spinning whirring sound hit the smoky air, and Synapse felt a jolt of electricity shoot through her body...
  3. Round 1 11 Annie Unharmed 9 Synapse Unharmed 1 HP 5 Ulysses Unharmed 0 HP Annie is just going to try to run past you. I will say thats a 50% chance of knocking into you anyway, but she has Blind Fighting Feat so I will half that to 25% *17+ on d20) 17-18 Ulyysess, 19-20 Synapse 1d20+17=20 and bump she does! So she responds with a melee attack. Again, it has a 25% miss chance (due to blind fight feat) 17-20 for a fail, and she gets: 1d20=4 Her Rivet Gun discharges an electric shock! But does it actually hit a flat footed synapse? 1d20+10=28 yes it does! A fortitude 20 save for Synapse vs Stun effect. Ulysses is up!
  4. GM Squark! Squark! The radio comms unit on one of the crooks started to life, a slightly distorted, tinny sound, but a woman's still. "Are you there? Are you there? What is your status? Please confirm your status. Please confirm mission progress" The only responses she got was some snoring and a few grunts and moans from the five unconscious men who where in no fit state to update her one way or another. The fire extinguisher let off its last puff of foam. One of the lights above flickered and died, its smashed glass shell dripping a few last sorry shards of glass to the floor. The various equipment lay in a sorry state, some of it damaged, and some of it damaged irreversibly.
  5. 1d20+8=17 for Reflex, The toughness roll, however, is 1d20+6=7 whic vs DC 18 is a fail by 10 to be staggered and dazed. Whilst I don't mind that in principle, its probably a little early in the day to get crushed so badly, so I will expend my lone HP point...1d10+16=22 and make the save completely.
  6. The Rat shifted uncomfortably in the presence of the materials. It was hard not to imagine all the horrible stuff it was doing to her DNA, what with Darwin-X still dormant in every cell. She struck a casual, hand on hip pose. "Getting this off my hands would be a relief....but....it is also a secret base where I had out. I trust you" she said to Asad, "and by extention, you" she said to Cinammon Bunns "but, only out of necessity. I heard you were a decent man. Stopped a nuclear explosion in Freedom City. I hope you are a decent man, anyway..." "But if a team of people come in here, this place is busted. And, in all likelihood, so am I. I have fifty years of work for the KGB during the height of the cold war to account for. Not that I had much choice, but I doubt that will help me. And it wasn't clean work either" she explained. "If it comes down to that or a radioactive fallout in Freedom City, I guess its the former. But, please, if you can do this by yourself, I would be in your debt..."
  7. EDIT: Heritage pointed out an error, that I had not applied Grimalkins maxed status posts to rollover. So doing pushes up Deep Freeze to 22 Posts, and 2 PP (rather than 1 PP). I am adding a bonus PP to Deep Freeze to correct that.
  8. 1d20+6=17 for Starshot, +2 with the extra bonus for 19!
  9. A few maxed PCs this month! Also, please remember that if you are in a thread as both player and GM, it is important to label posts that are GM as such (since they are worth double). As a rough guide, a GM post should have purely GM content as at least half (and ideally more) of the total post to qualify. 10. Reminders are always good! 1d20+3=4, 1d20+3=18 Both down! Post away!
  11. Analysis: Severe Concussion. Dislocated Left Shoulder. Microfracture to right clavicle... Yes yes! I can feel it myself! That had been one nasty bump. And she could only guess she had fallen badly too. She started with a large groan, just to expel it from her, then got up, feeling her bruised and swollen face. Big "Easy" wouldnt like that. A taxi driver with two black eyes and a busted lip tended to put customers off. "But I walked into a lampost..." Never mind. The police cars, ambulance, and press where here. And she should not be. Time to limp home and nurse her bruises. Who that man was, she still didn't know. The trail had gone cold. All she knew was he hit like a train and...and yet, had presumably dragged her out here to avoid the masses...
  12. 1d20+3=10 Its down! Two left, and Terrifica is up again!

    Dream of You(IC)

"Ze power of love?" said Rene, brightened. "Amour! Oui! A poison to despair! Ah, when one hold a lover in ones arms, embraced and safe, then ze world melts away, and time becomes infinite!" he said, some sadness in his joy. He was recalling his past loves, and their passing. "Oui! Oui! So, we need a wedding!" he pronounced. "Although weddings can be a bitter affair. We must choose carefully! Something small, but powerful, not ostentatious, Non! The trappings of the wedding can mask the lack of romance. Non!" "Can you fly? We must make haste! Your head-thing...can you find a wedding?"
  14. Ok Rat will try to scuttle around and find Ferrati, hopefully with X-Ray Vision that should not be too hard. Notice roll: 1d20+9=22
  15. Looked like the Revenant was keeping the mysterious man busy. Looked like not much could hurt her. Advantages of being dead, she guessed. Analysis: Target Revenant fully able to engage with unknown male target. Yeah, she supposed SLAVE was right about that. "Keep him busy!" she shouted at Revenant, as she scuttled off away from the brawl, scanning through walls and ceilings with her X-Ray vision. The man in black might not be the only problem, and they had yet to find Ferrati - the man they had actually come for. From the sounds of it, he was going to be in bad shape - or very soon would be. She needed to get him away, get him safe...
  16. "That was a neat entrance" commented Pitch, leaning against the Coffin, smoking away more gently. She had a curious urge to smoke a cigarette. Not an easy thing, when wisps of flames floated briefly over body and hot smoke poured out of her mouth. She straightened up, leaning on the Cantos Cane instead. "What's the deal with all this mojo? Sounds like some life and death thing, all symbolic and Freudian. Got some river of life flowing out of some strange source. Giant snakes, too, now I think of it. I can think of one or two right-on feminists who would have a good laugh about a river of life and a giant dead snake at the end" she said, the thought just occuring to her. "Looks like a heap of trouble anyhow" she finished, tapping the coffin with her cane. "Whats with the stiff?"
  17. GM The huge lump of rock tumbled like a bowling ball towards the thuggee, who were smashed by it. There was a sickening sound of screams and crushed bones. Fortunately the devastation was heard rather than seen - but still, the raw power of Ulysses was unleashed with his scream, and the power was horrible to witness. Even Annie Key dropped her jaw at the man throwing his own body weight in rock like he was throwing a cricketball. It was not just surprise on her face, but fear too. She had not expected such an explosion of violence, and not expected its fury. But she had been prepared. With a twist of a bolt on the machine she was working on, there was a grumbling noise, and an explosion - of air and gas rather than shrapnel. All of a sudden, an unpleasant acrid smoke filled the cave, making it impossible to see ones hand in front of ones nose.
  18. Yoikes, a critical! Thats a DC 32 Toughness save, or DC 26 if they make a reflex save. In other words, they can't. All will be taken out! Annie has a prepared action. Smoke! Visual Obscure (total) now in effect in the Cave. Time for some initiative rolls: 1d20+10=11 for Annie.
  19. It would indeed! A move action to rip out some rock, and a standard action to throw. Ill treat that as an area attack though, so they also get a Reflex Save for half damage.
  20. GM Zap! Zap Zap! Zap Zap Zap! The aim was good, but Terrifica was fast. The bolts of plasma from the crooks' guns became increasingly wild and desperate, causing havoc in the laboratory. One could only hope the institute had excellent insurance... "Get her! Get her!" "She's too fast!" "Where did she go?" "GET HER! THERE!" A triplet of beams sprayed wide, shooting out a Atomic Anticalibrater, which wobbled and blurred, an overhead UV light, which exploded in a shower of sparks, and a fire extinguisher, which started spraying wet, white, retardant everywhere. But nothing hit Terrifica.
  21. So three blaster beams at Terrifica: 1d20+5=17, 1d20+5=17, 1d20+5=10 which I think all miss,,, Meaning Miracle Girl is up!
  22. GM Annie turned back to the clockwork, gently rumbling, device she was tinkering with, speaking to Dee without looking at her. "What are you? I didn't know the English had women police officers" she said, flatly. "You sound just like one of those English Imperialists" she added, her own voice a mix of Indian and English heritage, like she was. "And who says I am Annie Key, anyway?" she said as an afterthought. "I am Annie Key, boys?" she laughed at the three youths who just chuckled, and shook their heads. To the ever observant Dee and Ulysses, the youths made sure their knives were near to them, ready to be unsheathed in an instant. THE TRACK MUST BE BUILT! Ulysses heard the command, formally a whisper, now a shout, in his head. An unrelenting force, a drive to build, build, build. Annie looked up at the pair with a smile on her head. "I'm don't want any trouble. If you are going to arrest me, arrest me..." she smirked.
  23. 1d20+3=7 and another one down. post away!
  24. 1d20+3=4 crook 1 is out, you may attack another (they are not all together, but attacking one more is fine)
  25. Round 1 21 - Terrifica - Unharmed- 1 HP 19 - Crooks [5] - Unharmed 12 - Miracle Girl - Unharmed 1 HP Terrifica is up.
