  1. GM Through the desert night air, cool dark and sandy, bullets flew. Crack Crack Crack they flew, past Foreshadow and into the distance. It cannot have been an easy thing to fire on a Camel, but the riders did so anyway. "Spray and Pray" one might say, as the flashes of gunfire spluttered from the hot barrels. Whilst Foreshadow could feel one or two whistling past him, the barrage of bullets simply whistled into the sand. Two riders got close, riding past the Van and leaning to the side, hoping to stick their curved swords into the beat up vehicle. But Synapse turned the wheels, weaving away from them. The two riders pulled hard on their reins, to the sound of Camel protest, and quickly spun the beasts around, to take chase.
  2. So four crocodile fanatics are left. I will rule that SYnapses driving allows only two to strike with swords. the other two will fire submachine gun fire at Foreshadow. 1d20+5=8, 1d20+5=6, 1d20+5=12, 1d20+5=15 So the first two can't even hit the Van! The bullets also go amiss! Round 2: 29 Foreshadow - 1 HP - Unharmed 15 Synapse - 2 HP - Unharmed 8 Croc Cultists [4] Foreshadow is up again!
  3. Unidentified Life Form Undetectable, your Ladyship! True, very true! Answered the Rat, stroking her chin as she holstered her gun. The alien, or aliens - at least they were not a threat. At least, not a threat to her. On the other hand, stealing cosmic cubes seemed a dangerous proposition. "Ho there!" she called out to the invisible Alien. "What manner of cube was that? I come in peace...Earth comes in peace...but the configuration of that device is most perturbing. Is it any energy source? A weapon?" she asked to the air.
  4. GM With a screeching roar, the young men with lean, tattoo'd bodies and sharp knives leapt from the smoky walls, over slumbering and not so slumbering smokers and hedonists. They were quick, lithe, and...although young and inexperienced...possessed of a furious determination, a barely conscious death wish. And it was death they wished to deal. The knives flashed and blood was drawn. Synapse felt their sting. Ulysses skin was impenetrable to such steel. "Oh my word..." gasped Singh, as he turned to face Synapse and Ulysses. A knife was sticking out of his chest, sunk in to the hilt. He coughed a little blood, and sank to his knees, quite amazed at the sight. His lovely linen suit started turning red... The priest fluttered his eyelids, mumbled some otherworldly prayer, and flung some powder into the burning incense. A sickly sweet smell started to fill the air, some kind of soporific drug...
  5. The thuggee are going to rush y'all! Being a bit mad, that means all out attacking, so -2 to their defence, +2 to their attack. Being a bit sexist still, its 2 kinves on Singh, 1 on Synapse, 2 on Ulysses 1d20+4=21, 1d20+4=12, 1d20+4=20, 1d20+4=23, 1d20+4=21 Singh takes 1 knife: 1d20+0=4 Synapse takes 1 knife Ulysses takes 2 knives, one of which is a crit. However, his impervious toughness means that he can shrug them off without a scratch. Each knife is DC 17. Need one from Synapse. More pertinently, Singh failed by 13, so is Dazed, Staggered, Disabled. more pertinently, the Priest is throwing some powder into the burning incense. This is a Nauseate 0 Power, but will increase +1 every round until a maximum of Nauseate 5. So start with some DC 10 Fort Saves please! The Thuggee have +5 to their Fort save because of being so used to the strange drugs they ingest. And I am waving the first roll. then, Ulysses is up.
  6. 1d20+4=20 Also (Just) Kod. Feel free to post something awesome.
  7. Posted IC! I am here! Fatiguing Pitch/Carmen straight off, as a complication. If she gets a good nights rest that will go I guess. As always, feel free to play Tazel!
  8. Damn it, why I am going to Tokyo to interview some AI? asked Carmen as she stretched in her 1st class seat and had a top quality whisky. The vibrations of the plane always set off her pain, running down her leg like an electric spark every minute, jolting her brain, making her body squirm. Damn, the pain was bad today. She quaffed her whisky and some painkillers, washing it down with some amitryptiline and a small dose of tramadol. A heady concoction, all prescribed. But still. Her sleep on the flight was still fitfull, still distrurbed, a hazy blur of sedation, sleep, and wakefullness. By the time she landed in Tokyo, she felt exhausted and red eyes. A coffee. A second. A third. It helped, but she felt done over as she entered the electric neon wilderness. "Taxi!" she said, perhaps to loudly, as she exited the airport.
  9. That hits. a DC 21 Toughness Save: 1d20+4=18 and one is down. Lets be cool (if you wish) with Takedown attack 2 and an extended reach staff, alongside Synapses good drive roll, if you wish you can throw in another attack (either moving from side to side smashiing skulls, or whirling the staff around, or whatever cool thing you wish!)
  10. 1d20+6=18 he is a minion, but I am going to Fiat that he makes that roll with just a bruise, just to keep things a little interesting! So, Synapse - 2 HP! I appreciate thats a bit of a fudgy thing (on the one hand, he gets two benefits: a reroll and not a minion, on the other, still bruised, and well, I would like him in play for one round!) Post away!
  11. 1d20+2=4 for Renes Initiative
  12. Which means! Round 1: 17 - Synapse - Unharmed - 1 HP 13 - Cultists [5] - Partial Concealment 13- Priest 4 Ulysses 3 Singh Synpase is up!
  13. Weaving works! That means you get a free attack, HG - you are up again!
  14. "Hey I can see!" said the Mess, as Nick illuminated the place, and he found himself in the chamber of horrors, fists swinging this way and that. "Awesome. Now then..." He cracked his muscles, his muscles swelling and bulging with turbo charged blood. The haemoglobin was practically sweating out of him. There was blood, and there was his blood. Blood squared. Blood cubed. He wound up his fist to let crack at the nearest vampire-thing, and, whilst his force was to be commended - a brutal uppercut that would have knocked the head of a marble statue, his execution was too slow, his ambition to great. "Man, sloppy" he grunted to himself.
  15. He swings 1d20+10=11 He misses.
  16. "Thats a lot of blood" commented both Harry and Freddy at the same time. Indeed it was. "How did the stiff...I mean the deceased, die?" said the Hound to Jerry, licking his thumb and bringing out the archetypal low tech information device. A pen and a notepad. "I mean, it is a lot of blood, 'scuse me for saying so, sir" he said, all apologies. "But what happened? A bullet? A chainsaw?" he asked, dancing his feet in and out of the pit he was digging himself.
  17. Pitch paused, waiting, and listening to the sounds of fire and wings outside. Can't say I would ever have guessed I would do this... "Cunning is a double edged sword, bird. And much as I would like to flee..." She actually gulped the words... "...I can't leave her out there...with that..." she thumbed out of the old Church at the sounds of demons. She nodded to Axel and Rachael. "You guys, go" she said, both kindly and snappy, to them both. She didn't expect either of them to like fleeing either. She knew she didn't.
  18. 1d20+10=29, 1d20+10=24 Mess is rocking. I suppose the thugs clubs are bludgeoning damage? (To which he has limited immunity) - in any case, made them both! Except, whoops, he has a bruise already so I guess it was 28 and 23, still enough. Except, whoops again, there was a third club! 1d20+9=26 done.
  19. Right lets have some initiative rolls: This is not a major threat...but... 1d20=2 Captain Singh 1d20=13 Cultists There are five Thugee cultists (M&M Core Book PL 2) The Priest of Kali is a Minor Mystic from BoM p85 At present, all but the priest are in partial concealment due to the smoke and incense.
  20. Also, with Foreshadows DEX that above manuever is fine for me, HGM. So, Synapse is up!
  21. Sure: they were all pretty beat up though (the Jeep was just as bad). Still, that high Craft skill should come in for handy. How about removing the drive penalty? If you, want, narrated at some point as her making some swift ad hoc adjustment?
  22. Round 1 15 Geckoman - 3 HP - Exhausted 7 Tonic - Staggered I may throw in more HP if the mood turns nasty / obstructive!
  23. "Errr...." answered the Cop, vaguely tapping at his empty holster, vaguely looking at Geckoman, and looking rather spun. "Yes...Geckoman..I mean...Sir... I mean...errr...." he bumbled over his words, as Flashlights and Cellphones clicked over him and Geckoman. He shot down an Ambulance! Did you see? He wrecked the hospital! There might have been kids in there... The mood hung in balance, like a spinning plate that would eventually fall, and shatter. And from the mumble - and admittedly, without full facts, deservedly so - was turning ugly to Geckoman's ears. "Medical attention, yeah, er..." said the Cop, looking at the hole in the hospital. "That might be a little hard to get right now, Sir...um...Geckoman...given what you...err...just did..." he spluttered, before losing nerve and running to help the seizing Policeman.
  24. GM Bang! Bang! The front tyres of the Ambulance blew out, shredded by Geckoman's bullets. The Green Hero just caught the site of Tonics bruised and battered face, teeth gripped in a furious grin, hands gripping the steering wheel so tight it bent, as he sailed past him, the Ambulance tumbling and tumbling, glass smashing, metal crunching and denting, in a full on roll. Three...four...five...six! times it flipped and rolled, before crashing into the Hospital itself, masonry and glass exploding, the Ambulance sliding several feet into the hospital proper as bricks and mortar and dust fell on it. "That's my gun, Sir..." said the slack jawed Police Officer, eyes like saucers, as he witnessed the carnage his firearm had caused. He looked as shocked and stunned as the large audience. "Geckoman shot an ambulance!" cried one outraged cameraman from the gathering reporters, capturing, and admittedly accurately, the situation in four words.
  25. Lets have some initiative rolls at this point: 1d20+1=7 for the T.
