  1. GM Mad Jake looked at her with mad eyes. Eyes that seemed not quite to meet hers, eyes that had a slight divergent squint. Eyes that were wide dilated, full of fear. His breath, however, was full of wretched booze. "Who are you! I ain't your friend, lady! I ain't your friend! Ol' Jake knows better than to have any friends! Not since the CIA put a chip in my brain! You after my brains, ain't ya? I can feel ya in there!" he shouted at her, tapping the side of his skull repeatedly. "Everyone thinks I am mad, Ol' Crazy Jake! They ain't gonna be laughing when the invisible Iraqi Warplanes suck all the oxygen from the air!" he explained, as he started wheezing and sucking in the night air in horrible gasps. "But that ain't all of it! The Nurse at the Mission of Mercy, I saw her! Sproutin horns! Tongue from her mouth like a snake! Licking all the blood they have their! Mus' be Satan himself! I ain't ever goin' back there! Not if wild horses dragged me! Not even the CIA radio beams can make me! I got defences!" he said winking at her, and rustling in his filthy coat pockets. He grinned at her, and put a tin foil helmet on his head.
  2. So the Atlantean leader in serious injury time. Anyone wants to post their efforts in putting down the two mind control Atlanteans, do so. At PL6, the two of them are basically going to fall, especially with four PL 6 SPec Ops Marines backing you up.
  3. GM The Atlantean leader dropped to his knees, convulsing, every limb shaking. His spear fell to the floor with a clang that echoed around the empty metal corridors of the walker. "Ghluh...Gluh...Gluh..." he bubbled, water streaming from his mouth, his ears, his nose. He shook more violently, collapsing to the floor in a seizure as the water left him. "Be...ware...be...ware....the Drowned Man...He...is coming...." he gasped between convulsions and spurts of water. His two comrades sprang into action, with spears raised upwards, then lancing down with force and ferocity. The leader just managed to raise his shield in time. The spear that would otherwise have lanced his throat was caught, stuck in the shield. The other spear lanced his abdomen, clean through, mixing blood with water that pooled around him.
  4. Oskar had eaten some weird food in his life. He got around, after all. He had cooked some strange meats and even eaten some strange uncooked one. The cloudy liquid in front of him did not look at all appetizing, even by those rather generous standards. "Sure, looks delicious" He could swallow it for the sake of diplomacy. A spoon full, and he soon decided that his gargle blaster was a better idea. He washed down the oily taste of the Eel with his own drink. "Zaul's dropped out of the galaxy, I guess you know. I can't say I weep any tears. If I ever get the chance, I'll shoot the fat lizard myself. Still, the past is the past. I hope you can still deal with me. You can certainly trust me. But, fair warning, I don't do Zaul's more dirty work. I want to rub that out..."
  5. thats fine by me
  6. Seeing the mobile click into action, the Rat stayed low, shifting her weight to her other leg, and slinked back to cover, always watching through her X Ray vision. Olive? Whats going on? More than one spider thread here...Slave! Hack that mobile! Superior Soviet cyber infiltration systems in operation...I will attempt penetration of inferior Capitalistic technology...Please wait...Please wait... Yeah yeah, lets do this quick, right? see if we can't listen in. And before my pale friend gets shot or hacked to pieces, or has a chainsaw taken to her. This guy looks the brutal sort... Whilst Slave did the heavy lifting, the Rat still needed to guide, like a driver, as Slave flashed up an HUD of the hacking process...
  7. Ok so Red Rat is going to use her action to datalink the phone, and peel off all of its contact numbers. 1d20+15=21 for Computer skill. If she can, listen in on what Olive is saying!
  8. That hits (Their defence is +8/18)..just (24 attack, -4 shifting, -2 underwater)! Is a DC 21 Toughness so 1d20+2=3 yeah that is a pretty awesome KO. And as he has takedown attack, I am going to presume those Eskrima sticks whip left and right, and another Frogman must save: 1d20+2=16, 1d20+2=15 And what about that? You can knock all three out! Post away, we are out of combat.
  9. That girl is out of this world! Look at the ring on that guys finger! Look at the purse on that lady...can I... Clam it up, fingers! We don't want any trouble here...look, why don't we just go back to the Ship and go and hide somewhe... "Keep quiet you two, or I'll power you down" grumbled Oskar to Fingers and Mask, which he wore on the stump of his left arm and around his neck respectively, each glowing with green lines. He was just thankful that Trigger, his gun, was back in the Xeno. He would probably be demanding a shoot em up bar fight. Oskar went to the Bar and ordered a Pan-galactic gargle blaster. He sipped it cautiously. The semi-legal cocktail could hit the brain like a ton of wet lemons. He would have preferred a good German beer, but he had practically run out since his last incognito flight to his home planet. He must remember to get some more. Oskar scanned the deck, and located Nerrit. Taking another cautious sip of his potent cocktail, he strode purposefully to the booth and slumped himself down. "Been a while, Nerrit.." he said neutrally.
  10. Me here!
  11. Sure Ill throw in Starshot with Seika, seeing as they have a history together. Ill also GM something for Seika if you wish Goose (but I dont GM and play in same thread cos, well...cos!)
  12. She ain't exactly one for subtle... Not that it didn't help the Rat. In fact, it was damn handy. Fast but silent, the Rat creeped and slinked up the stairs to the commotion, gun in hand, eyes sweeping through the walls and ceiling and floor with floods of X-Rays. Had to hand it to the Soviets, these eyes of hers were damn handy. Probably didn't make up for removing her eyes in the first place, but at least they gave her something to replace them with. With a low side step, crouching on a bended knee, she planted herself round the corner, gun up, plastic bullet magazine in place...and eyes glittering, taking in the sight...
  13. GM "You must be joking!" screamed the captain. "I have heard tales of the Frogmen of the Nile! Poisonous toads! They eat the flesh of the living! They consume the souls of the devout! My soul is for Allah!" he said, hopping from foot to foot in fear, and then stamping on the controls of the boat, pushing it full throttle forward. He was sweating, hyperventilating, panicking, overcome with fear ingrained by stories and tales. The steward was almost as scared, but more noble, trying to stop his stronger captain from shooting forwards. "Please! No! We must save that poor man!" he shouted back. The wrestling swung to and fro, but the Captain was taller and bigger, and the boat started to motor down the Nile. The Frogman touched by Synpases power jerked a moment, then floated still. Zaki was terrified, but his fear lent him wings. Or, in this case, flippers. He propelled himself to the surface, with just enough air in his lungs to shout "Heeeelp!" before he drew more ragged lungfuls of air to replenish himself.
  14. So Zaki will swim to the surface, no longer drowning. The Nile is pretty easy water to swim in, so calm water DC 10. As he is under stress, no taking 10, so his roll is : 1d20-1=14 enough to make it. Round 3: 24 - Foreshadow - 1 HP 20 - Frogmen [3]: Unharmed 16 - Synapse - 2 HP - In boat (now 50' Away) 10 - Zaki [in Nile] Swimming is DC 10 Manuever. If you do not have environmental adaptation, -2 to Attack and Defence (arbitrary...) Foreshadow is holding his breath for 1 round. He has a CON of 14 so I doubt we will be underwater that long (I seriously doubt it...) As the boat speeds away, and the Nile is a bit muddy, Synapse can percieve this round, but next round (at 100') will not be able to. Foreshadow is up! EDIT/NB: Ok so I am going back on my word. I think its better to make the Frogmen Minions so as to not drag this out too long. There is worse up the river. So I am going to knock the frogman Synapse stunned out. I hope this is ok.
  15. 1d20+5=17 enough to bruise (I presume non lethal?) and Daze one round. Post away!
  16. The Rat felt the blow connect roundly with her head. But whatever else she was, she was made of robust stuff. A bruise there would be, but she ignored the crunch to her head. She took a moment to glance at the gun. Analysis: Weapon is 9mm automatic ammunition feed, make Kochler. Average velocity of rounds... She ignored the rest of Slaves dutiful readout and analysis. If she needed to shoot people, she would shoot people. But not if she didn't have to. Still, worth hanging on to. She would have holstered it. But wearing a bikini, that made it a little more difficult. As for the man eating bullets. That wasn't good. She elbowed the man who punched her in the face, crunching into his nose. "I don't know what the hell is going on. But I don't like being punched in the face. And I don't like people getting shot up in a swimming pool" she explained.
  17. So, armed now, but you know, hero rather than lethal bullets if she can get away with it. So punching back, taking 10, shifting attack -2 and DC +2, for an attack roll of 20 and a DC 21 Tough Save!
  18. Vince is paralysed with fear (although feel free to inspire him out of it if you wish! Lets call that a DC 10 CHA roll as a free action if you so wish) They are only about 20 feet apart.
  19. It hits, and I think its a DC 17 Tough save which is 1d20+8=24 made!
  20. No, in all honesty it was a complete error! Make that a base of 19 with Tactics bonus.
  21. GM All four frogmen where now under the waters of the Nile, slipping through it like they were born to it. Perhaps they had been. Perhaps...perhaps something had changed them. Whatever the reason for their affinity, there was no denying it. Their scrawny frames may have a wiry strength and cunning stealth on the ship, but down here, they were predators born. Three of them floated underwater, blocking Foreshadows path. Behind them, one of the Frogmen was grappling Zaki, trying to force the air from his lungs. Although the old professor thrashed and fought vigorously, the frogmen were capable on the boat, and down in the Nile, they were more than capable...the professor started to leak bubbles...
  22. The Frogmen are not running; however, the one grappling the Prof will punch the wind out of him, meaning he is now drowning. The other three are not actually fighting, just blocking Foreshadow from getting to the Prof. You can assume the 3 blockers and Foreshadow are now in a melee cluster, with the Frogman drowning the Prof a few metres behind. Post that move away, and I will post reply of above!
  23. 1d20+13=22 for Stealth, I guess your thoughts on tactics to aid that seems good.
  24. GM The terrified passengers leaned this way, they leaned that way. And then Geckoman slid into view, at the side of the carriage. It was fortunate that he was known. Green men jumping unto your monorail carriage and crawling around it was an unusual sight, even for Freedom City. "Yeah...uh...sure thing...man....you must be that Gecko dud, yuh? Far out!" answered one tall, lanky gentleman with bright red dreadlocks and a scuffy goatee. He looked malnourished and was smoking a highly suspicious cigarette. He looked equally suspiciously unfreaked out by the experience, in disobedience to his t shirt which excitedly berated everyone to freak out in large orange letters, a perfect mismatch to the yellow background. He opened the window and passed him his Mobile, which was playing a Jimi Hendix Song, "Crosstown Traffic".
  25. GM The mutters, if anything, just grew and multiplied, like a virus feeding on anxiety. One small elderly lady, all human bar her four eyes, piped up meekly. "I...I think I saw Mr. Scure...heading towards the engine rooms" she said, wringing her purse with anxiety, all four eyes blinking. "I may be old, but I can still see straight. More than straight, actually" she explained, pointing to her glittering purple eyes. One could only imagine her peripheral vision would be excellent. "I...I didn't say anything. But...if you are thinking Mr. Scure is this awful Gentleman, Mr. Photon, well...surely something nefarious is up?" she asked shyly. The virus spread further. "He is going to sink the ship!" "No! He is going to blow the ship up!" "Quick! to the escape pods!"
