"Now, do you know what on earth, or what on anywhere, that is?" said Pitch to Equinox, feeling giddy from just looking at the coffin. It was beautiful, in its own way. "A crystal coffin...in a lake...in the source of water...in the source of life. Well, I do actually read a few books as well as hang out with Rock stars. And, y'know, poetry and all that. And, y'know I do write..." she said, one hand on hip, one on the Cantos Cane, as she kicked off the Motorcycle Engine. "If that ain't a juxtaposition, I don't know what is. A coffin in a well of light and water. Death in life. Huh...I guess its dangerous. But then, I guess pretty much everything is dangerous. And you know what? I kinda like it that way!" she explained to Equinox. "Anyways, I'd rather ask you what was written on their than my little silver tongued demon..."

GM Y Dderwen fell to the floor in a crumpled heap, all wood, leaf and groaning. "Ah! That's no welcome from you, little woman! You and I, we fight and wed through the ages! You are the spirit of the people, but I am the spirit of the land...its stone, wood, and water" he said, getting to his feet unsteadily. "We are like lovers, kissing one moment, and scratching out each others eyes in the other" he said with a half laugh, that was both angry and joyous. "Leave him alone! He...he cares for me!" cried Lucy Diamond, sobbing in the corner. "Why don't you all just leave me alone! Everyone always want's me....some want me to live, some to die, but all want me!" she said, laughing hysterically through her tears, full of fear.

GM Silberman's bookstore "Wha----" said the surprised duke, or at least, one of them, as the bag was whipped from him. The gust of air flagging his hair was the only sign of Velocities speed. He frowned deeply, his bushy eyebrows vying with each other to be most discontent. "Of all the blasted...is this worth it, I ask you?" he sighed to the store staff. He checked his watch and shrugged. "The more the merrier, I imagine. At least, when it comes to Velocity..." And once more, the Duke collapsed, snoring heavily on the floor of the Book store. At the Freedom League Wreck Room... Pffft! A little puff of gas hissed from the bag. Followed by the scans of the Wrecking Room, and a computer readout... ANALYSIS: NITROUS OXIDE...ALSO KNOWN AS LAUGHING GAS... Back at the Castle Bring Bring! Bring Bring! Sang the telephone once again, right in front of Grimalkin and Lord Robert Harrow.

Y dderwen is damn hard with fort...when he is on ground. A +8 Fort save without it, so Ill go with that as he was landing. 1d20+8=11 And he is dazed! Lucys save: 1d20+6=22 and Lucys initiative 1d20+2=17 Round 1 18 Young Brittania - 2 HP 17 Lucy Diamond - Unharmed 11 Synapse - 2 HP 7 Y Dderwen - Dazed Young Brittania is up again!
-
That would make you Bruised, Injured, Dazed for one round (as Huntsman is being sneaky and using lethal damage). This would effectively mean he goes again! You can of course reroll any result by spending an HP - the reroll would be 1d10+10 rather than 1d20 (effectively meaning a toughness save of 1d10+10+toughness) if that makes sense. Although you may find it more awesome to get hurt too! Let me know, and dont sweat being busy!

GM Up they sailed, through the air, and for a moment, at the peak of the arc, all was still. Geckoman could feel Dr Tonic in his grasp, strong, powerful, his body clearly leaning more to the muscle end of stocky than the fat end. He strained against Geckoman's grasp. There could be little doubt he was stronger than his Green adversary. But although he was fast, he was no match for Geckoman. "Fool! Do you know why I am called Dr Tonic?" he said, grinning whilst trying to break free. Geckoman felt a tension in his fingers, something spreading up his nerves from where he had touched Dr Tonic. And then they landed, with some roughness, on the top of the Monorail train. A crunch which left a dent in the car, and screams from passengers. "My illness...a nerve degeneration. I had seizure after seizure. All tonic seizures. You know that, yes? A stiffness in the muscles, a cramp, a paralysis, as the nerves insist on full contracting..." Geckoman could feel his nerves and muscles tensing...
-
Incorrect! Geckoman is at 4 HP and exhausted, because he is so heroic. So I am just going to go with that as it is too awesome to even contemplate going against, especially as your rolls were good. His Grapple Bonus is +23 by the way! So, on the train, Tonic will try to break free of your grapple...1d20+23=32 so lets see if Geckoman can resist that. Also, you now know why he is called Dr Tonic...Fort 20 Save vs Paralyse...a "Tonic" seizure!

GM The air was tense with the threat of violence. But none came, second after second, none came. Eyes shifted left, eyes shifted right. Feet shuffled slightly, fingers tightened on spear and trigger. But none came. Lt Sparrow put down his rifle first. "Hold your fire, boys. Not like three Atlanteans gonna be a challenge. Huh, spears and shields. Get with the modern age, fellaz..." he sneered, clicking his automatic weapon to emphasise the point. "It's true, I don't know who killed these men. Good men. I can tell you, if it was Atlantis, you will pay..." he suggested, before examining the bodies themselves. The absence of spear wounds, or indeed any wounds, just death by drowning, deepened the mystery and took a sliver of antagonism away from them. "Well, what the hell did happen here..." he said, angrily, shutting the men's eyes. "We should get power up again, proper power, see if anything was recorded. Maybe in the bridge..." he suggested, unsure. The Atlantean leader interrupted. "You shall not interfere! This vessel is a weapon of war, and now belongs to us! You may repair the engine...but the bridge is ours!" he said, slowly and with an edge.

Sunset drew back from the fingers of the Radicals mind creeping into the thing. Whatever thing it was, she judged the warning fair. "So if we can't mind read those...scientists...." she asked the strange creature. "How do we know whom is whom? Why should one word be more honest than another?" she asked, politely. "What say you? What is to say that your words are not a ploy, huh?" She scanned the icy horizon. "And, I got to ask. Where exactly where you running too? Its just ice, snow, and cold blue air here. For miles in every direction. Maybe you won't freeze to death, but...what was your plan? Just to run?" Something crawling in her mind, and probably everyone else's too, was itching and disturbing. The bleak landscape only added to the encroaching madness. A madness that could make a man run, just run, not towards anything, but away.

The Mess paused for a moment, scratching his tufted hair on his square face. "You reckon we should, like not use the front door? I mean, I can tear it off pretty quick..." he said, pondering the previously inconceivable. He hopped from foot to foot whilst his muscles swelled, pouring his supercharged blood into vein and artery, once again fizzing with the buzz of power. "Maybe we could smash in through the roof!" he said, putting finger to his temple. "Yeah, that sounds pretty awesome, like in the Movies!" A thought ploughed its way through his cranium. "Or maybe we can even see whats going on from the roof!" he suggested. Perhaps all the acrobatics with Strand had made him think a little more three dimensionally. With that, he leapt into the air and onto the roof of the building, looking for any windows, hatches, or even chimneys...

GM "Looks like strangulation to me" said Bleed after a cursory check. "Not my way of doing things, but still..." Steward Van sighed. He was no expert either, but he didn't pretend to me. He rubbed his eyes painfully. "The body was found here. The Varis is a big ship" he explained, truthfully. "The crew can't be everywhere at once. And neither cam the passengers. We have two observation decks, private quarters, the bar, the restaurant, the gym, the pool..." It seemed the Varis had everything except a disco and a sauna. "And the sauna, of course" he finished. "I found the body here, still warm" he explained. "We had just had the tip off that Photon was on board, and..." he explained. "...and I was trying to lock the place down. That's when I came across the body. A Mr. Turin, computer engineer, age 52, divorced, two kids, no medical history. Completely regular guy" he said, reading the passenger manifest. "Then, we heard you...people...were coming. So I gathered everyone here. Thing is, not everyone came..." he explained, finger running down the passenger manifest. "A Mr. Scure. Not here. Can't find him, but to be honest, I think it would be dangerous too. Surely this is Photon? A single man, aged 35, no given profession, no given medical conditions" he explained. "Mr. Scure, or Photon, must be hiding somewhere on this ship. Presumably ready to strangle anyone else who finds out who he is..." he said bleakly. "Poor Mr. Tunn, he must have been the first...." His tone of course did little to calm the anxiety of the passengers, or the crew, who muttered to themselves. A few scattered demands to the captain and the Bounty hunters came through the mumbling. "Who are these guys?" "I thought guns weren't allowed on the ship!" "I demand to see my lawyer!" "Lets get the escape pods before its too late!"
-
GM "Bounty hunters...we don't need that scum..." whispered Steward Van not very under his breadth, whilst the Captain just bristled. "Murdered by strangulation, as it happens..." he said. "My dear Steward, Van, he knows a bit about medicine. But we don't have a doctor on board, so if any of you Scu...per people know forensic medicine, please be my guest..." he smiled through gritted teeth. "Not my style, buddy" grunted Grunt, cracking his thick canine knuckled again. "I can take a look. Seen more than a few dead bodies..." shrugged Bleed, twirling her pistol and looking unenthusiastic about any detective work. She was always tapping and shuffling, unable to keep still. This clearly applied to her mind as well as her body. After being lead on...to the Observation Deck... The Magnificent view of Kapler 7 was somewhat marred by the dead body in front of them. She was a perfectly average woman, just with six fingers and no hair. Her neck was clearly bruised and marked, and she was clearly quite dead. Around the body huddled the remaining eleven guests, and the remaining four crew members - a copilot, and engineer, and two more stewards. Everyone looked shocked and tired. On a reflex one of the strewards offered the three Bounty hunters a drink of Vexis Wine, an aromatic beverage full of stimulants and borderline legal. Grunt took one with a grin, Bleed took one with an eyebrow, just sipping it. Captain Gellis just sighed.

GM The three Atlanteans paused, spears and shields still high. "Attack?" said the leader, bold black eyes staring. "If the Princess of Atlantis...commands it...." he said ever so slowly, his spear drawing upright. "Then it shall be so...Princess" he said, a cold smile on his lips. Four Marines marched into the mix, assault rifles at the ready, full of alertness and discipline. They must have been elite, or special forces, equipped with all manner of military equipment, from gas grenades to Night Vision goggles. "What is going on here? Atlanteans? On the walker?" said the leader, a Captain Grimes, by account of his uniform. His eyes cast down to the two dead marines at his feet. "Why you dirty little..." he swore, raising his gun to the Atlanteans and jumping his mind to conclusions. "You will pay for this, you fishy freaks!" he demanded.

That's not good...though the Rat as she slinked into the Shadows. About the best that could be said for that is that a Sniper would be in the dark... Analysis: Dark. Switching to IR spectrum... Mind you, that did give her and advantage. Mind you again, a Sniper could easily have infrared vision too. What a terrible mess, she thought as her cybernetic eyes switched automatically to infrared display, and the room lit up, with all the eddies and currents of the heated swimming pool... If anyone was using Infrared, the Pool would be her cover. Not perfect, but still. She slid over the tiles, and into the pool, keeping her head just under the water, where her eyes could still see...

GM Neither spear, not shield, was lowered, but the three Atlanteans stopped their march. "I do see a Princess Thaelia..." said the leader, pausing and giving a salute with his spear. "But these are strange days, strange times, and strange tides" he said, spear coming down, pointy end at the heroes. "This craft is walking in the domain of the Atlanteans. Uninvited and unknown to us. Hidden from us. Are the land men spying on us? or worse? This is a grave matter. This ship had soldiers on board. Not scientists. Soldiers. Why?" he said, slowly and deeply. As he spoke, the four heroes heard the sound of the Deep Sinker's airlock opening. The sound of marine boots and marine guns, marching towards them...

GM A little later... Lor Superslicer docked with the Cruise Ship Varis... Grunt, Bleed and Roulette slipped through the Airlock into the Varis. As Luxury ships go, this was good, but not top of the the range. First Class, but not like the personal Yachts hired out by the very rich. Twelve tourists, all confined to the observation lounge. Six Crewmembers, of whom two met the three bounty hunters. Captain Gellis and Steward Vam, both Lor humans with slightly odd color skins and distinctive facial features. Gellis was a broad, muscular fellow, with the looks of an ex-military man, who had armed himself with a stun pistol. Vam was tall, worried, and with an intelligent forehead and clever eyes. "Welcome aboard the Varis" said Captain Gellis, in an unwelcoming manner. He deactivated the alarms that went of as Grunt (whose Space armour packed inbuilt weapons) and Bleed (who carried a funky looking energy pistol) passed into the Varis. Weapons were not allowed. But Varis deactivated the alarm. "Can't say I like blasters on board" he sniffed. "But then, I suppose I like weapons of mass destruction on board even less. Just my Grecking luck to be transporting Photon. I heard of him, back when I was in the military. Didn't ever see him, though. What a Grecking mess" he said, almost spitting the words out. "We have the passengers isolated in the Observation Deck...its just that..." he looked uneasy. "One of them has been murdered..."

I trust ya about as far as I could throw ya, and seein' as yer a ball of flame, that is just about zero. Still, I gotta say, that was good work, even if I'm pretty sure its gonna cost me later down the road, huh? She didn't wait for an answer. She didn't really need one, or even want one. "You get a demon to do something like that, you can bet your unholy ass its gonna bite you right on your unholy ass" she said to Equinox, with a mixture of warning and something approaching excitement. Crossing swords with demons was what she was good at. "But lets worry about that later. If you got a spell of banishment or something, keep it on the tip of your tongue" she advised as she hauled up the Motorbike once more, and filled it with infernal fuel. "Lets go into the mouth of the beast!" And with that, she kicked the motorcycle into ignition and sped on...

Great, another one...she frowned internally. Crush it like the other...she ordered Slave, who dutifully dove into its digital world. The Rat sighed as she picked up both of the men by the scruffs of their collars, and started to drag them across the wet floor into the mens changing rooms. She just hoped the changing rooms were empty. Given that someone had taken great efforts to clean the swimming pool of any swimmers, it was a good guess. But even a good guess could be a wrong one. She hauled the two men, one on top of the other, into a lavatory cubicle. It wouldn't be long before they woke up or were found. But she was off schedule anyway. She was hurrying, almost frantic, pocketing both mens phones as she crept back to the swimming pool. At least she could come away with some names and numbers if all went bad. But there was still an assassination. And mayhap an assassination she had already missed...

Yes indeed! Tsunami can detect the Atlanteans have an unusually high level of water in their body (even for Atlanteans!)

GM Dog tags their were, apparently indicating the men were US marines, no different from the men in the Deep Sinker. Further pondering was interrupted by the sound of footsteps, slow, ponderous, wet. Blinking dull lights illuminated the corner around which three men slowly walked. They were Atlanteans, in all probability. The classic Roman features, muscled and haughty. Carrying two pronged tridents, shields, and shell armour. Soldiers, in all probability. Three of them, the first probably the leader, alert and angry. "Halt! Who goes there?" said the leader, slow and with bubbling burning anger, his eyes slits, his spear ready, his shield raised...
