GM The door creaked open - rather painfully slowly, and with a painful creak. Down in the basement, Grimalkin was searching for cracks. Of which, it must be said, there were plenty. The cellar, like the equipment, and like the castle, might have been glorious and wonderful, but it was also somewhat haphazard and chaotic. Just like the sparking power cables strewn across the floor in a jumble, the bricks and mortar of the building were riddled with cracks and holes. Grimalkin actually felt a slight breeze from some of them. As Velocity opened the door, there were actually a few cheers of relief from the Dukes staff. "Oh thank the fates! Please, let me out of here! I resign!"

I LIKE TO DREAM YES, YES RIGHT BETWEEN MY SOUND MACHINE by Thevshi Rene edits: Ok, so a fairly large edit. I am basically reworking Renes dream array which was a bit vague and a bit off. It is now refined into him being a master of the “Gateway†between dreams and reality. Pulling things in and out! So Attributes: Wisdom Increased to 40: +8 PP Will Save Increased to +16 (+15 Wis, +1 Bonus): +1 PP Fort Save Dropped to +10 (+12 Bonus): -1 PP Skills: Sense Motive and Concentration bought to 6 (+21): 1 PP Feats: Equipment now “Bought†rather than Reward, add Trance and Inspire feats: +9 PP And custom feat (WIS bonus used for Craft (Art) ) I hope this is ok (makes sense to me). +1 PP Powers: Overall changed by -12PP as follows… The Dream Array is gone in a puff of smoke: -66 PP! This leaves a total of 49 PP to spend, thusly: 1PP: Adding an alt power to his Magic Array: Astral Form 8 (Feats: Dimensional 3, Selective, Subtle 2, Flaws: Feedback) 6 PP: Adding Mind Reading 10 (Extras: Duration [sustained], Feats: Sedation, Flaws: Limited to Sleeping) [11 PP] 40 PP: A new Dream Array, 37 PP Power with 3 Alt Feats. Summon 12 (Heroic, Feedback, Mental Link) [37 PP] Create Object 10 (Movable, Sensory Link, Perception Range, Variable Descriptor 2, Stationary, Subtle 2, Feedback, Limited*) Environmental Control 8 (Distraction DC 10, Move to 50%, Perception Range, Selective, Variable Descriptor 2, Limited*) Dream Control 12 (as per UP) 2PP: Comprehend 2 (Speak to, Understand Objects, Flaws: Limited to Objects of Art!) Where do the final 2 PP come from: A new drawback Vulnerable to Emotion Effects, DC +1 (He has a sky high Will Save but still is moved easily!) A particular note to attend to is the Limited on Create Object and Environmental Control: This is “requires dream†– either Rene has to be aware of another person’s dream (via Mind Reading), or he has to be asleep himself (a rather dangerous position). Minor changes to fluff to note the above.

So a tiny detail of Starshot seems to have snowballed into something bigger thanks to player creativity! I am opening up this thread for discussion. One thing to note is that Primus needs to be defined as the kind of grey neutral zone cantina in Mos Eisley, rather than anything official / legal / affiliated. For reasons that will be come clearer later on this year. Primus, as most people envisage from discussions in other threads and chat, is a space station where rogues, bountry hunters, Safari Hunters (Star Shot), smugglers, and those wanting some heavy duty R&R hang out. Where you can drink, gamble, swap stories, and shoot green aliens under the table when they come to collect outstanding debt. And the band plays on. So, opening this up for discussion!

Ok so Bloody Mess will go for broke this time, I think, seeing as Foreshadow has set this up nicely. All Out, power attack. 1d20+10=28 Looks like Lefty Did Well. But wait, there is more! Surging and Fatiguing himself for another all out power attack! 1d20+10=20 Not sure his defence, but if flat footed I guess that hits. So thats a DC 30 Toughness Save for every attack that hits. (I presume at least one does), and Bloody Mess is fatigued. Ill post after HGM does for Foreshadow.

Dutifully Noemi turned right into Sidney Avenue. Kinda familiar. She had made a point to learn the arteries and veins of Freedom City as best she could. And it was not difficult. Her cybernetic eyes were flashing the distances, directions, and layout of the streets.Slave had built up a map of the city, and she never got lost. Handy for a Taxi Driver. "Big Easy", the Boss, was a shouty type of boss who gave everyone hell whether they deserved it or not. It was just a lot easier if you didn't. Thanks to Slave, she rarely deserved it. What was with the cough? I hope I'm not going to catch something. Her altered body could adapt to many things, but diseases affected her like anyone else. She could try pushing her body to evolve, but it was a random process, like evolution. And urning her mouth into a bony maw filtering out bugs would be hard to explain. "Hey mister? Are you ok? You need me to take you to a hospital or something?" she asked, as she pulled up outside the address he had given her.

"Bad at this? Well, I haven't much practice in disposing of Weapons grade radioactive material" she lied. There was that time in Iraq. And that didn't end well. The tentacles didn't drop of her face for a week.Thank Allah for the Burkha... Not much made her nervous. Radiation did. Understandable, if being in the presence of the stuff could make her break out in green boils, or turn your hands into flippers. "So you will help! Great!" she said, hooking Amirs arm. "I knew you where a gentleman, ready to help a damsel in distress!" she agreed. "Your car or mine?" she asked him, and then whispered "Do you trust Cinammon? I mean...can she keep a secret?" she asked him cautiously. She trusted Amir, somehow. Perhaps because he was a superhero, perhaps because she was desperate, but a lot because he just generated a trust. Cinammon Bunns might be another thing entitely, however. Although she did like the name!

This all looks good. A few niggles with Ranges (225' I think, not 250') and I am not sure why Dazzle has a 35-70' Area? I make it a 45' Burst for Dazzle 9. Dazzle cannot have the slow fade feat (At least on this site!) Then it all looks good to go. EDIt: One suggestion about the Earpiece COmmunicator. As it stands, this means you can turn a radio reciever that receives your signals into a communicator by default. And you won't be able to pick up radio signals. House Rules say that communication is two way by default. You may wish to change this to a more conventional radiowave device thusly: Communication 2 (Short wave radio, 100m, Limited: One Way Only) [1PP] Linked with Supersenses 1 (Radio)

Ill get this up and running in a bit. One question is whether TheAbsurdist wants to use this as an intro to his new Fens PC? TA?

GM The next afternoon, at the airport. "So this is the goodbyes, American! I am being the thanks for all your help. It was the hell of the ride, yes? One I hope be the tell my grandchildren, as long as the KGB do not me shoot!" he said, with a finger pointed at his temple and the cock of the imaginary gun. "Ah! England! It is not as the sexy as the United States, I know, but it will be doing! I will be the enjoy beer and chips, yes? And maybe some football too?" It was indeed a time for farewells. Dee and Erick could both easily pull a quick flight back to their home countries, and Dee could arrange some kind of amnesty for K with her connections, both with her family and the Ministry. And so, planes departed with heroes onboard, leaving behind some overblown steroid using athletes, Blonsky in hospital (Expected to recover), Doctor Zero on the loose, and the Sleeper in Custody... ... Elsewhere... "Prisoner for transfer to special circumstances detention" barked one of the two guards who escorted the Sleeper, still tied to his medical bed, to a cold Siberian prison. "Who is it this time? The Centurion? Velocity?" sighed the man at the desk controlling the entrance. "The Sleeper" barked the guard. The man at the desk looked blank for a fraction of a section, before smiling. "The Sleeper you say? I seem to remember him..." he replied, slowly reaching for the gun under his desk... ~ Fin ~

GM Another Crack of a gun went off. Close, but not as close as the first. Leaves and bark shattered, and rained down on Skaere and Vince. From the sounds of it, whilst the Huntsman's gun was powerful, it had but one shot before a reload was needed. It was a curious antiquity, a slow power. "I'll survive!" shouted Vince back, his voice strung with fear. "Although I won't if I get shot! Or you get shot for that matter...I can barely stand!" he continued. He mumbled something about silver bullets before clinging onto Skaere all the tighter. Skaere was making good progress through the woods, leaping, sprinting, and even swinging on low hanging brances, when she heard a sound. Clippity clop clippity clop! The Huntsman on his own could not match her speed. But maybe his horse could! By the sound of it, he had a true thoroughbred he was galloping through the forest as fast as she was...if not faster!

Warning: Height parameters are not tactically optimal... It was fair advice. A gun fight on a rooftop was not a good idea. No where to run, everywhere to fall. On the other hand, it was off the street. She approached silently. That she could do, even up the old fire escape ladder. The Red Rat was a sneaky as they came, light of foot and agile as a fox. "Penny, I presume?" she asked, sliding up beside the woman. She wore her bullet grey Spandex, and Rugged Red Jacket. Around her thigh, a holster with her top range silenced pistol. Rubber bullets, of course. She had no wish to kill anyone. Any more "Red Rat, at your service" she said, giving a half turn to show the picture on the back of her jacket. "Kidnapped girl, is it? I'm not too fond of that. Whatever I can do to help, I will!" she said, keenly. Whilst she smiled, there was a little bitter steel, as she recalled her own Political Incarceration in Hungary, ripped from friends, family and home.

The house rules on devices as AP is designed for two weapons really. Otherwise it gets complicated (nested arrays and stuff) You could think about some swapping I guess. For instance you could drop a rank of Bow device. This needs 3 PP saved: Base power drop the Split attack Fatigue drop the Sleep "Feat" (actually, sleep is a +0 Extra so you dont need to save anything!) Snare drop an improved range rank (Incidentally, I would have thought contagious extra more likely than regenerating extra for gello arrow, but your call!) Then drop the Drain and Dazzle APs. Sure they are nice, but in 3 PP time you can add them back in! That frees up 3PP. Drop a Luck Rank, you get 4 PP. Then Add "Sci Fi watch" or something as hard to lose advice with powers like Comprehend 2 and Super Sense (Radio) for 5 PP? Only suggestions mind. As the "Extended" goes, the general concensus is: Extended multiplies range by x10. It costs 1 PP per sense it works on (such as normal hearing, infravision, smell, etc), and costs 2 PP per sense type (All visual senses, all hearing senses, etc). As you have written it, You have Extended 2 (Normal Vision) x1000. This is totally legit, but you wont have extended Infravision. you could alternately buy Extended 1 (All visual senses) for 2 PP. (Which would work on normal vision, infravision, and any other visions you get later like visual detect or ultravision)

This all looks very good. A few minor niggles. Could you format the powers a little? a blank line between them helps readability (and i think is custom here) The distances in some of the powers are a bit off. Fatigue 9 (same applies to Drain) with improved range is 225' incermements by my calculation (I guess the 250' was from rank 10?) Supersenses be aware that Extended 2 [2PP] Only applies to one sense (Presumably base vision). You may find Extended 1 [2PP] (All visual powers) more to your taste, but that call is yours. (Extended costs 1 PP per rank for a sense, and 2 PP per rank for a sense type). Finally the bad news: After discussion in Refcave, we have decided (and I appreciate it is rather arbitrary) that Comprehend power needs a device, rather than equipment. You may want to find 3 PP for a hand held communicator device (Comprehend 2 and 1 PP spare). Sorry about that. Lovely PC, mind. I hope she and Starshot meet.

recruitment Various plots that have been sitting in the back of my mind.
Supercape replied to Brown Dynamite's topic in Archives
Full throttle sounds ione for Pitchs, Bikers and bar room brawls. I would love to throw something into Purple HAze, simply because I know Stockholm fairly well and it has charm for me. Possibly Starshot if he is approved, or maybe Red Rat. Hell, anyone. I love Stockholm! Actually Starshot fits quite a few of theses as a huntsman of sorts. But overall thanks for running these and ill bite at any you think might fit! -
GM Meanwhile...down in the Cellar... "Rutte? He is the head butler, ma'am! always at the Dukes side. He helps the Duke in everything...including down here..." Another maid piped up. "We don't know what happened. Last year, he was a dying man. Some kind of wasting disease...you know, getting weaker all the time. The Doctors, they couldn't save him. And the Duke said he would help him. Now, he is fighting fit!" "More than that" gulped a third man, nervous and jittery. "He is stronger than he has any right to be. Faster, too. I never seen somebody so strong, not natural, it is. Not for a man of his age. Not for a man of any age" he said, full of doubt. "And he spends hours down here, even when the Duke is away..." The first maid took up the narrative. "But...we don't understand it ma'am...the Duke is never away. He might fly to America, on England, or even Japan, but he seems to have two lives. Either that, or he moves at the speed of light! I swear he is in two places at once!"

GM On the other side of the door.... As Velocity phased through the bolted door, she came across a most peculiar and surprising site. Rutte, talking to the Duke... It was the Duke, no question. Or at least an exact copy. If it was a copy, one had to hand it to the copier. His clothes were the same, his features absolutely identical. Even his mannerisms of speech and gesture were a precise match. There was no way one could tell this Duke apart from the drugged one downstairs. Except this Duke had a crossbow in his hands. "<Yes, as per your instructions, the guests have all been...>" Rutte was saying before the Duke stopped him with a finger to his lips. He turned, serious, to "look" at Velocity. Which was in itself noteworthy - whilst vibrating she could not be seen. At least, not normally be seen. "<It appears not everyone was drugged....>" he said. "That is a clever trick, my dear. Very clever...I had not anticipated your ability to move fast enough to slip through molecules. I should have...A mistake I won't repeat" he told her in English. "But I can see you with more than my eyes, my Dear..." he finished. The bolted door was stiff and heavy. Rutte must have been stronger than he looked. Of course, Velocity could shift it...but not whilst vibrating....
