  1. PUMPED UP by Dr Archeville (Note: Having some issues getting the new pic to load properly) Some edits for Captain Cosmos / Buddy Brand A few tweaks to background and complications (fluff) New awesome picture 2 PP: Add +2 to Reflex Save 6 PP: Add 3 Ranks of Super Strength (modifying Grapple Bonus accordingly)
  2. GM The assorted Zombies fell, one after another, to the rending claws of Nightscale! Off with a head! Goodby, chest cavity! Whoops, was that a skull? And so on. Whilst the zombies seemed somewhat hardy and determined, they burned pretty easily, and dragon claws got them smoking. In a blink of an eye, Nightscale was surrounded by dead undead, and - it must be said - was somewhat showered with congealed blood, disembowled necrotic organs, and fragments of skull and brain.
  3. You can actually smite them all with that, with take down attack. 10 I'm going to handwave the destruction of the zombies at this stage, as you have essentially won! Post away your IC! We are moving out of combat, but Blowfish is running away and Machete Max is swimming away!
  4. Gamma Buzz Gamma Buzz stuck out two cockroach (and armour plated) thumbs. "That's no choice at all! Giant Robot Zombie Mummy! Probably a ninja too! That would be cool, right? Yes, I am sure its a ninja too, and knows some kung fu!" He glowed as green as a green tomato, face breaking out into a spontaneous and slightly wicked smile! "Hey, Giant ninja zombie robot, its Gamma Buzz Baby!" he yelled to the skies, and leapt forward. Unfortunately, the Giant Zombie Robot Mummy, who was allegedly a ninja master of kung fu too, moved at precisely the wrong moment, leaving baz a crumpled mess on the tarmac. "See!" said Gamma Buzz, his eyes wonky, trying to reattach his head the right way round. "It knows Kung fu!"
  5. Giant robot mummy eh? That sounds like a job for ATOMIC COCKROACH FIST Free action: Nauseate Aura Move action: Jump into melee Standard action: Punch Another mighty swing... 9 Natural 1s! Yippee!
  6. GM "Wait... who are you?" asked the Ringmistress. She studied him carefully in the dim light of the moon. "You... you are the Tattered Man, aren't you?" she asked. "I've heard of you. I learn all I can about a town, a city. All the myths, all the legends. And Bedlam has more than its fair share. The Tattered Man, stalker of the night. Hero of Bedlam, whatever that means. But none of that really answers the question. Who is the Tattered Man? Who are you, really?" She curled up the bedclothes over her body, leaving a provocative show of thigh. The Ringmistress was no beauty, not with that scar running over her face, but nonetheless she had some charismatic allure. And she was trying to seduce John Smith!
  7. Taking 10 on computers for a 30 result if it comes up!
  8. Haven Well then, that was a plan. A good plan - provided it actually worked. There was a hole, but could he fit through it? He had been no contortionist when made of flesh and bone, but this was cyberspace. Nothing was real, no more than data. And data could be manipulated. Both the wall, and himself. Could he widen the hole, or could he thin his body? Why not a bit of both? With a virtual crack of virtual knuckles, Haven started to squeeze through, wrestling with the data at every virtual inch...
  9. Just in case they are needed 26 for Stealth 11 for notice... clearly his helmet is having some buzzing in it.
  10. Starshot Starshot pondered firing a lumi-flare in to the cave. His fingers drummed the compact flare gun at his belt. But, tempting is at was... People fear the dark, fear some predator who they cannot see. But in the dark, the predator cant see the prey. He would rather not lose the element of surprise. And besides, he could see in the dark pretty well. His helmet overlay gave an infrared overlay of the cave. "Stay silent, stay hidden..." he murmured, creeping forward, plasma rifle at the ready, straining his senses to pick up sound or sight of whatever was in the cave...
  11. It does indeed hit! And 11! 11 So Croc is Staggered and Dazed!
  12. Haven Therein lay the rub! He didnt know. "I am sure we can find one together..." he said. "All I know is that your efforts, whilst valiant, will take time. Too much time." He put his silver hand on the protective wall. It was not real, of course, but it felt real; Haven was no longer a man-he was a small sphere of quantum computations surrounded by mimetic metals. But he felt real. And if he felt real, that was good enough for him to call himself a man. "The White list is the key," he said, to himself as much as the woodchipper. "How do we get on it?" There might be some subtle way to weave through the code and intefere with the list. Or even destroy the list, corrupting its file. Alternatively, if he could find the list, he could create a digital fake ID. "Where is it?"
  13. GM The head was silenced, and it looked very much like the mighty crococonda could not speak inthe first place. It did a very good hiss, though. And the constriction of its coils spoke volumes. As in, they caused the volume of space to reduce. Lamentably, there was someone in that volume of space, and that person was Golden Star! Would his ribs crack under the strain?.... And the Crococonda took a good look at Blackstaff. And licked its crocodile lips!
  14. the Head is silenced But Crococonda is still alive! As GS is bound, CC will simply squeeze as a move action, meaning a DC 25 Toughness for our young hero! CC will also try a move action intimidate at Blackstaff. 11 is not spectacular.
  15. Gamma Buzz "You bet! Wheeeee!" yelled Gamma Buzz as he flew through the air with the greatest of speed. This is great! Must be what flying is like! Whizzing through the clouds, not a care in the world! Watching the scenery go by! Amazing! Wait.... Wasn't I meant to be doing something! Whoopsie! Baz drew his fist back at the last moment. KER-POW!!! It was true, he hit his target. It was more of a collision than a punch and ended up with Gamma Buzz spinning through the air and landing anwardly on his head. Although he did spin elegantly like a break dancer. And his fist did connect, with with the force of a hurled cockroach-kid!
  16. Nauseate "Checks" has always been somewhat unclear (perhaps something for the Refteam to nail down) - skills, opposed powers presumably yes. Saves, and the checks for things like all out movement and suffocation, not so clear. Anyway. Lets go for a charge! 19 If that hits, its a DC 23 Tough.
  17. Haven "Oh? You wish to enter but are not on the white list?" If that was so, there was room for an alliance - of sorts. The Woodsman appeared more like a scarecrow than a tin man, but still... "Perseverance is admirable, but I think your chipping away to enter will take more time than you would like. Why do you want to enter anyway?" Was the program on some kind of time schedule? If so... "There may be other ways to enter, you know..." A phrase laden with devious insinuation.
  18. Starshot "It looks like it..." replied Starshot, shooting Doctor Archeville a look. He muted the mic for a moment. "A cave. Ripe for ambush and traps. And not just some web spinning arachnid. This is going to get dirty... and I still don't trust this new Kahn." He unmuted the mic. "Boots on the ground then. See you in a moment." Starshot put on his belt, hung his machete in its sheath, and checked his rifle's power cells. Fully operational. He clipped in five web shells into the under barrel, nodding in satisfaction. Finally he put on his helmet, which hummed into life, providing him an HUD full of tactical information and advanced sensor arrays. "Let the hunt begin," he intoned. "Although the devil only knows what we are hunting..." With that, he opened the ATV door...
  19. 21 for the Baz'ters reflex. With evasion that means he is safe. So I think Baz will delay action as suggested and Ill post IC as the punch.
  20. GM "Ahhhh! Torment! Torm----" The screaming wails of the tiny dessicated head stopped. "---you stopped it?" came a confused, hoarse voice. "...The Torment is....over!!!!" The last vestigal echoes of the horrible wails bounced of the damp cave walls, to everyones relief. But the Crococonda paid no heed one way or another! Its coils started to crush Golden Star...
  21. Im actually waving those rolls. Can a shrunken head make a reflex roll? Does the head even want to resist a nullify? The wail is now OFF! Yippee! Meaning Golden Star is up!
  22. Starshot "Rumours of intelligent life everywhere," grunted Starshot as he landed the Xeno as best he could. "And space is a big place. I'm afraid I dont pay a whole heap of attention to rumours. So your guess is as good as mine. But if you want my guess... something to think about it. Sounds like there may be a third player in all of this. Hunters? Scientists? Or even terrorists, wanting to weaponise a giant flying whale." He jumped out of the pilot seat and headed to the Xeno ATV. "Hope you have a universal communicator handy if we do run into something. Ill drive, the ATV has some basic sensors but its not a patch on the Xeno, so I guess its you and your wand." He entered the Xeno, patted Alpha, the ship maintenance bot (who was hovering in the copilot seat) and set down behind the wheel. "This thing is built for bad terrain and falling rocks. We should be fine."
  23. The Shrunken head is wailing Croconda is biting and coiling
  24. GM The Tattered Man was as quiet as a mouse. A dead mouse, wearing slippers. Was it bad luck? Or just some sixth sense. The figure in bed woke up with a start, bolt upright, eyes wide like billiard balls. A Ringmaster? No, a Ringmistress! A woman! She had long, messy hair. A beautiful face, once, marked by a livid scar which made her mysterious, ugly, and attractive all at once. She was dressed in undergarments; patchwork, like her bed quilt. "Who are you!" she blazed, one finger stretched out to John. She had a smallish frame, but the Tattered Man could see calloused palms and wiry strength forged into strong bones.
