GM Deadshots was slap bang in the middle of the Fens. And not the nice part. En route, Carl yelped in pain, and every so often the King of Suits could swear he was being followed. It was heavy. sweaty work, running through the dark streets, the pale street lights, half dragging the injured Carl behind them. The sounds, smells, and sights of the night City whirled around him, like snapping jaws. The bar itself was beaten up but sturdy. A kind of halfway point between derelict and robust. The kind of bar where people didn't bother replacing windows, or doors, or even toilets. They just kind of patched it up in anticipation of it being broken again. When the King of Suits entered, it was the early morning. A couple of hard core drunks, and a couple of amateur drunks. A waitress wearing a bit too much make up, a but too little skirt was cleaning up. And Deadshot himself, the barkeeper was wiping the bar down with one hand and having a vodka with the other. The man was over six foot, and broad. He could have been a boxer or wrestler. He had a livid scar down one cheek, a rugged brutal affair. His head was shaved, and he looked strong, both in will and body. The kind of guy who could stare down a mad dog or bull. "Goddamn it!" he roared as Carl was placed on the chair. He was looking pale. Most of the bleeding had stopped, but not all. Blood had seeped through his clothes and he looked faint. Because he was faint. "What da hell are you doing bringing some bleedin' dead man in here! Get out! I gots plenty of trouble without some cape dragging in more!"

"I don't know. Dreams are very important" smiled Rene, sadly. "Everyone is from a different world. Their own" sighed Rene. "All that remains is to entwine them together" "Fare well, Marsha. It is ze destiny of every parent to fail their child, and every child to fail their parent. Do not be sad about this sadness" he smiled. Rene hefted the painting, enjoying its feel but not its weight. He was not a young man any more. "ASTRO labs? wavelength?" he was never a sceintist, and was not one now. Not that he was particularly slow of wit, he just had neither the aptitude or the inclination. He vaguely concluded something about some wireless Radio waves that must have been invented. He felt a vague pang of guilt. Was he one of these "Supers?" he was an unusual man, he realised. Was he disconnected from the fabric of humanity. That put him in a gruff mood. "Perhaps I should visit ze Astro Labs" he mumbled to himself, irritatedly, as he slowly walked back home. He decided to call a cab to save his knees.

"Thank you Mr. Mayor" said Pitch, trying her best not to smoke and cinder. Staying indoors too long, when Tazel was firing her up, often left some nasty soot and smoke damage. Normally she wouldn't defer to authority. Not her bag, man. But right now, she figured she needed Springsvale on their side. The Mayor looked like a wiry pole to her. Shrunken, somehow. To her mind, either that meant he was rotting and weak, or his strength had just condensed down to a whipping cord. She just didn't know which it was for him. Burnt out, or burning? "Have you read them?" she asked him, and Ben. A thought struck her. "Arrivals?" she asked Ben. "You mean, more than jus' a big damn snake in the desert?"

Ok, so combined strength for bustin down door: Tsunami: +2 Wave Eye: +8 +6 Super Strength Glamazon: +8 +5 Super Strength Lets say thats a total of +29 Damage for the purposes of ripping the door off. Combined, you have more than enough strength to automatically bust open / throw away the door. If anyone wants to post this, go ahead, otherwise if you want I can do another GM post for this! Also: Ari! Your signature no longer links to your PCs!

So just for fun, Pitch will make some rolls! 1d20+5=12, 1d20+5=13 Not exactly her expertise, but might throw up something basic.

GM The two hunters were unduly confident, grasping crucifix and gun. "See how he is powerless before the cross! Daybreak...overestimated the dead! Perhaps I should finish the creature here!" smiled the older man, handling his gun and contemplating the war between orders and glory. Perhaps he would have decided one way, perhaps the other. In the end, the decision was taken from him. If Vampires feared light, Bloodline was a curious one. For an instant, the walls and dank water flashed with brilliant light, like a dozen suns. Crack! came the gunshot, its sound almost deafening in the confined tunnels. Caught by the blast the older man had fired reflexively, but blindly. The bullet ricocheted off the walls. "I can't see! I can't see!" screamed the woman, bringing hands to eyes. Her clumsy fingers dropped the crucifix into the few inches of water that trickled beneath them.

Thats fine. I will grant an HP for going out of your way to harm some "innocent" goons! Bloodline - 2 HP - Gun fatigued (-2 PP/P) Their chance to avoid that is so small I'm just going to say it dazzles them, for the sake of propulsion!

Sunset felt the coldness of the thing chip away another layer of her psyche. This...this...seriously ain't groovy...ya know? this thing needs to be flung to the deepest ocean in the most distant star.... She had nothing in reply. The Radical would bleat on about solar power and renewable energy, and getting in tune with the earth and the cosmos. She half agreed usually. Right now, he seemed dead right. Unnatural, that was what this thing was. Like touching something from a different time, a different land. It made her nauseated, to say the least. She didn't drink, as a rule. Her Hindu discipline. Not a hard rule, but one she tried to keep too. Right now though, she had a craving for oblivion. Man, I am seriously freaked out...I need a smoke... That was frightening too. The Radical had tried his best to keep straight after his drug addled decade in the sixties. He was cracking up. More than she was. "Glad to join you, forgive me if I don't drink" she said, bowing slightly and getting a grip on herself. The psychologist rattling around her head was somewhat disapproving of alcohol too, although even that faint echo was chilled by the thing. "And, under these situations, I cannot advise alcohol..." she explained. A good shot of valium is what we all need....

Welcome Bguy! We pretty much try to help out new players as much as possible, getting their PCs approved as a priority and offering up some threads (planned with you) quickly. One "issue" is chat. There is no need to be in chat to play, at all. However, it is probably reasonable to say a number, or even the majority, of threads grow organically from chat. Given you wont be entering chat, you will escape the Sanity checks of such horror, but I hope we can all try and help you get into some threads, and the site, bearing in mind you wont be in chat. Of course, not being in chat doesnt mean you cant chat! Throw PMs left right at centre!

Also, you would need to identify Rage feats effect and duration (I am guessing +6 fort, will, and strength, for 10 rounds). interesting! May be worth adding in those stats to Strength, Saves, and Defence, as she may be raging a fair bit!

This looks overall good! A few points: Create Object (feedback) is a flaw not a drawback, costed correctly. Morph (flaw: not metals) I think is a borderline case, but as its "any objects" I think its a flaw not a drawback. A heads up though, might be debated. Dimensional pocket 2: not quite sure why you have this, but if its a utility "storage power" you could quite reasonably have a limitation (cannot attack) or something. As it is, totally legit, of course. Everything else looks good - However, as per chat, Emotion control due to a horrible visage is probably not extremely well simulated by that power. I think you are looking at a perception [visual] area, touch range effect. Everything that is looking at you at the time is effected. Alternatively, rather than "everything that is looking at you when you activate the power [take a standard action]", if you change into something horrible permanently you may want "everything that looks at you" Emotion Control 6 (Extras: Reaction (+3), Flaws: Sense Dependent -1, Limited to fear) ] [18 PP] which is less powerful but more funky. Those are my only comments. Looks good to approve.

Thats a good stealth roll! I will award 1 HP for GM fiat that they somehow follow! Just stick with knowledge streetwise right now. Not a great roll, but you can certainly confirm whats said in IC. The owner is a tough ass ex marine sniper, hence the name of the venue. King of Suits - 4 HP - Staggered, Bruised, Injured

GM "We have him!" came the gloat into the Walkie Talkie. The Crusifix stayed resolutely out, and, growing in confidence, the pair approached. They were not much to look at, truth be told. Just a man and a woman, everyday people, from the sidewalk or subway. One was an middle aged, slightly rotund woman with dyed blonde hair and a little bit too much make up, the other was an older man in a tweed jacket and staunch hat, with a thin, lined face and eyes widening in astonishment. "We have him!" This time, to themselves. To revel in victory. "We will not stay from our sacred duty, abomination. May God have mercy on what remains of your soul. You are an abomination unto the lord. A creature of darkness, an undead. And Death must Die!" "Death must Die!" repeated the woman, holding the crucifix at arms length and advancing. The older man was just behind her, an antique but serviceable revolver in his hand. "Daybreak shall destroy you!"

That will do nicely!

GM In the old tunnels, half subway and half sewer, the smells were overpowering even to a human nose. For Bloodlines heightened one, it was a wall of stench. Hard to make out one scent from the other. The tunnels were excellent at echoing and magnifying sound. This was a different matter. Footsteps. One pair. No...two... Smell...of fear? Two of the group, for they travelled in pairs, approached Bloodline, with walkie talkies and flashlights. "We found him!" "Stay back, foul creature of Satan!" A crucifix was brandished, and a gun was pulled...

Ok so we have a toughness 12 door. Easy enough to break down, but can it be broken down / torn off in one round for surprise? or do you have other plans. For the purposes of wrenching the door off its hinges you can combine strength...count to 1...2....3...and...! Let me know if you want a group shove / pull on it!

GM Sergeant K's face turned as white as snow. "Not...not alone?" he gulped, clutching his heart then his throat. "But...who? the KGB? The Army? The...the president?" he whimpered, the thought of the last being clearly the worst option. "Tell me...please! I am not the being safe! Who is it the being?" he said, shuffling his way through the snow to synapse, away from his two police guards who looked, rightly, somewhat baffled. This was Russia - conspiracies and corruption were well known. But K seemed to verge on comic paranoia. He whispered to Synapse. "Please...you can me the helping? I am not being the safe here...I is needing the Asylum. If not in America, perhaps the Great of Britain can help, yes? I tell everything! If not I come, then bang!" he pleaded, putting a finger to his temple and mocking a gunshot. "I can be helping you! Yes! I be helping you with whoever is the workings behind this!"

"Running...running...running...." "Aside from the fact I'm no good at it, we can't just run. Sooner or later, we will run out of space to run" she reasoned. "I want to know who is ringing that damn bell!" The ringing had stopped. "Blast...or who isn't ringing it...." There was, of course, a horde of demons between her and the bell tower. "We need to hide then, get there slowly, out of sight. Means we need a distraction. With a fling of her hand into a point, and a barked command, she sent the enthralled Demon hurtling towards the bulk of the demons. He wasn't attacking, just flinging his arms and tree trunk around, screaming and shouting. A distraction. "Lets go...I don't know how long we have. Building by building, shadow by shadow...lets get to that tower!"

Tazel, you are in a particularly fractious mood today, aren't you? Pitch almost liked him like that. She grimaced at the sign. No Sorcerers. Well, was she one? Close...but hopefully no cigar. On reflection, as she stood smoking away, with red eyes, a dimly lit red mouth, the occasional wisp of flame and studded leather wrought with infernal images...a cigar would not go amiss. "Pitch" she answered through red-lit teeth. "I know you don't want sorcerers. I can tell you I ain't no solicitor though" she smiled. Pitch looked scary enough when Tazel was bubbling in her veins and bones. "I'm looking to speak to the Mayor. And i'm looking to speak to him about some letters he got, that might be pertaining to a big ass snake in the desert, sprinkled with sorcerous writing" he explained. She tapped her chin with one finger for a moment. "And come to think of it...can you tell me why the sign says no Sorcerers? I'm not objecting, its just a strange kinda thing to hang on a town hall..."

"Problems, problems. Of a different sort, maybe. How do ze English say? Ze grass is always greener on ze other side" replied Rene. "Life is not about getting what you want. It is about wanting what you have" He paused, stroking his beard and feeling sad for a moment. It was not as if the young woman did not have a point, after all. Her perception was bleak, but not mad. "It is indeed a strange age we live in. One that challenges our spirit. But, I do fancy this painting captures ze essence of it. Marsha, you have me moved. Yes, I would like the painting, it has a power. But can I deprive you of it?"

GM The sewers and subways of Freedom City sometimes felt like an endless maze of disused and crumbling tunnels. Perhaps it even was an endless maze. It was certainly easy enough to get lost in them, and rumours of the perils circulated the urban mythology. As Bloodline sank into the shadows of these very tunnels, he heard the subway train rumble and screech to a halt. From what he could tell, an emergency stop. In the middle of the subway. The rat he had let go snarled at him. There was something in those black eyes that felt vaguely unnerving. Something that hissed at him. Then, it bolted away into shadows blacker still. Footsteps. Lights. Something, or somebody, was searching for him. The group and the man.

I suppose a case could be made for an array of boosts, providing they were boosting the same thing. Something like: Boost (Strength) 10 [10 PP] AP: Boost (Strength) 20 (Flaws: Tiring) [20 PP] Buut do keep in mind that boost is one of things that is looked at very carefully. Especially if it is a broad boost like All powers or all traits, or it has slow fade in hours rather than seconds or minutes. I am not sure, but I think the only character we have with boost is Bloody Mess (link in my signature), which might give you an example of the kind of trade off we are looking for: He gets 24 PP of powers (rather deceptive in utility mind, as 12 PP of them are sort of mutually exclusive transport powers, so it is more like 16 PP of utility) for a 9 PP power. The drawback is it takes him a standard action to activate and only lasts a few minutes. Which is the kind of reasonable trade off goal post you are looking at. It is easy to get cheesy with boost! EDIT: Also note that his powers are kinetic, active ones, like movement or strength. In other words, faced with a fight he hasnt prepared for, he either goes in at reduced power, or misses a round (which is rather critical). Something like boost for Mind Reading or ESP might be considered more carefully, as those are generally "utility" powers, where having to prepare for a round beforehand is rarely of consequence. In essence, it is hard to give absolute guidance on the rules, I'm just explaining the thoughts that go into this!
