1. I think we will GM Fiat the Ringmistress waking up for the sake of ACTION! (Even though John is super stealthy) Tattered Man - Unharmed - 3 HP
2. Starshot Starshot appreciated the positive sentiment; a necessity in any challenging endeavour. And yet in execution, he was not so sure. Morale. Necessary-but not sufficient. "We can do it," he said, gruffly. "Just got to figure out the how." The Xeno drifted at a more sedate pace now, gliding through the atmosphere just above the Solar Arrays. A gentle approach to the mountains and the Sarcota." "And that means getting in closer. On the ground? In the air? Its your call Doc. I know about as much magic as a Blind Hlu-hlu snail. And you best believe they don't know much about magic. Or anything at all. Although they do spit one of the most deadly poisons in the universe, I can tell you that."
3. GM "My heart! Aaaagh!" screamed Dickens, his lament of anguish and despair echoing around the cave, almost drowning out the wail of the undead head. Splish-splash-splish-splash went his feet, pelting out of the cave. "You should have let me have the wreath!" he shouted back at them. "Idiot!" muttered Armitage, rolling his eyes at his thief. Crococonda was too fast, too slippery, for the heroes. Perhaps its was the water splashing around, getting in eyes and ensircling feat. And in a flash of crococonda-speed the hybrid beast had slammed into Golden Star, its coils wrapping around the young hero threatening a deadly embrace....
4. Yoikes! Its whiff central! For reference the Crococonda has a defence of +8 (+10 base, -2 from size, +3 flat footed) So its going to wrap itself around Golden Star this time! Using all out attack (thus lowering defence by 2) 17 Which I think just hits Golden Star? Its a DC 25 Toughness Save And an opposed grapple roll (as Crococonda has Improved Grab) 37 Yoikes!
5. Gamma Buzz Baltazars antennae stood straight up at Bernadettes rebuke. He mulled over several acidic replies... And was tempted to spit them out. Hey thats what Cockroaches do, right? Spit acid? So it would like be totally justified... he said feelilng sour. But what was the point? She wanted to spit acid, he wouldn't spit it back. "Lifes too serious for me to take seriously..." he said, eyeing her. And biting his cockroach lip. That girl had it all, no doubt. Looks, powers, the real deal. Gamma Buzz had to crawl through sileage to get where he was. Literally, on one particular difficult day travelling from Mexico. In fairness, she was looking out for them. A good motivation, but it felt, to Baz, like a life of steel. He wasn't sure a life of steel was worth living. The rebuke stung, doubly as it was warranted.
6. Jumping and scooping up the slowest crowd to jump them to safety next round!
7. Gamma Buzz Gamma Buzz wriggles his fingers, processing what Lawrence had said. "Something somethig blah blah preserve timelines something freedom league blah-dy blah something rescue the crowd..." He straightened his fingers and widened is eyes. "Thats right, isnt it?" he asked Lawrence. "It sounds right, anyway, and thats the important thing." Without waiting for further debate, and with a "Gamma Buzz, baby!" yell, he leaped into the crowd, scooping one in each mighty cockroach arm, and jumped away. He was pretty sure that rescuing the crowd and not punching the mummy was the right thing to blah blah something timelines. Lawrence had said so, and Lawrence was pretty good at knowing these things!
8. Starshot Magic... oh save me. Starshot was hardly a scientist, but he trusted science, he knew it. The flow of muscles, blood, respiration; it fitted, it made sense. Magic, on the other hand, he was worse than ignorant on. His mind seemed to close down. Maybe it was the War, maybe Hitlers obsession with the occult. Starshot seemed to close his brain to even the possibility of magic. "Not my field," he croaked, angry with himself. "I hope you know magic as well as your know your science, Doc." He cut back the thrusters on the Xeno, so he could cruise at a more leisurely pace.
9. Clink clink! Round 3 20 - Machete Max - Unharmed 17 - Nightscale - Unharmed - 6 HP 14 - Chimera - Unharmed - 1 HP 11 - Blowfish - Bruised 2 - Zombies [8] So Machete Max is swimming Meaning Nightscale is up!
10. GM The Crococonda was large, but no slower for it. the snake-crocodile swished this way, swished that way, darting with the speed of a snake and the ferocity of a crocodile. Who would have guessed? Every movement of its body sent splashes of water cascading over both of the heroes. Professor Armitage and Mr Dickens did their best to hide behind rocks and stalactites, but the cover was limited, and the Crococonda could snap through the spires like they were twigs. And all the while, the shrunken head was wailing! A wail that splintered straight into the soul like a demented drill. Armitage seemed unaffected, but Mr Dickens was clutching his ears and his heart!
11. Crococonda will lunge at Blackstaff 12 Lots of missing! All the missing! Round 1: 16 - Blackstaff - Unharmed - 1 HP 13 - G Star - Unharmed - 1 HP 10 - Crococonda - Unharmed As a reminder, the wail is still in effect (A sense dependent Nauseate power DC 15 Reflex/Will) Blackstaff is up!
12. An amazing 6 from Baz. For reference he has low light vision, infravision, ultravision (for visual) Tremorsense and Tactile detect radiation (tactile) And scent (acute olfactory) So I suppose they may pick up something "barn door" / cant fail to notice.
13. Gamma Buzz "Sure!" said Buzz, full of the confidence born from a lack of confidence. "The needle thing points north, and the map has a picture of the land. You use the map and the compass to work out where you are going by using the compass and the map. Together. If you use them together you can work out where you are going, as well as where you are going, and.. ah... where you are going, as well!" He smiled and shifted his eyes left and right. "But the others probably want to explain it so they can show they know as much as me."
14. Haven The Tin Man was obviously a blunt tool. Chip chip chip... how long had the programme been chipping away at the wall? In this world, or the real life wall? Possibly centuries of cyber-time. Maybe more. Even Haven, no stranger to cybernetic time dilation, found his eyeballs bleeding at the thought of such monotony. "I want to get in because the Wizard wants to put me on the white list." More Oz references... who was the wizard? Just a sham? a facade? Haven did not make the mistake of underestimating such a hypothetical character. A man who was skilled enough to create such a facade was not to be underestimated. "And I should be on the white list because the Wizard wants me to get in." Lets see how the programme dealt with that tautology!
15. GM The gold remained a pacified lump of gold, althought Nightscale could feel the seething pool of resentment underneath his layer of magic. The ocean bubbled with the breath of Machete Max, who could surely add swimming to his list of talents, behind animating the death, capoeira, and stabbing people with a machete. Ignoring the sprinting Blowfish (who moved with remarkable pace for a rotund man - clearly undead persecution was a powerful motivator), the remaining zombies attacked Chimera with fists, teeth, and headbuts. And a few of them managed to connect!
16. Ugh! Just misses! (Remember however you can always get a feat with an HP, e.g. stunt a power or get takedown feat) Blowfish will be running away! Remaining zombies will swarm CHimera. The rolls say... two hits! (DC 17 each)
17. Gamma Buzz "You got it, La-timeout!" shouted Baz over the sound of a fall meteor. "Wait! That looks big!" he said, his red eyes curling upwards. "I mean, really big. And fast. And quite dangerous. Why are the sky gods chucking their junk down on us!" With a whipping spinning cartwheel, he jumped out of the way, landing on all fours in an elegant pose, his eyes emitting a scorching beam of GAMMA VISION. "Whooooa! That made me dizzy!" he complained, the laser eye beams crossing, diverting, and wobbling in unison with his dazed eyes that could not quite keep up with the ridiculously spinny manuever and the fact that a meteor had just exploded pretty much right next to Baz. He shook his head free of the spins and started to glow and angry green! "And thats just for starters!" he yelled. "I mean, I missed just to give you a chance!"
18. So Baz is good at reflexes! 25, and with evasion 2 that makes him able to avoid the entirity of the effect. On his turn his going to fire GAMMA VISION (Blast 8 ) at michael 10 which surely misses And then flip his radioactive array to his nauseate 5 / aura power.
19. Haven Now that was interesting. A woodsman. Made of tin? The reference was a note of caution. The woodsman, whilst actually a kind soul, was always professing to have no heart. One could interpret that in many ways, but one was that the programme was mindless, callous. Possibly even cruel. He stepped up - but not too close - to the axe. "Chipping away?" he asked. "I'm trying to get in myself...."
20. Starshot "Close? I can get close," replied Starshot. "But I may have to reverse if it gets too close, if you know what I mean..." The Xeno veered off to meet the Sarcota. "How fast are they, anyway? Faster than the Xeno?" he asked the Doctor. If they were faster than the Xeno - unlikely, for the thought would be beyond any biology Starshot knew of - then they could be in real trouble. "Get to the top. Observation port. And pack your goggles, its is going to get windy if you plan on a close encounter..." The Doctor was bold, no question about that.
21. Gamma Buzz "Oof! I got ya!" said Baz, as he got clipped by a punch. "Bet you bruised your knuckles pretty bad on my kidneys, huh?" He had felt the punch hit his abdomen, and felt his organs protest. Nevermind! He told himself. I'm Gamma Buzz, Baby! With an elegant backflip, he landed on all fours, crawling like a true insect. "Witness my incredible atomic breath, you villains!" That sounded like a cool statement. Were they villains? He didn't know. But they were close enough. Close enough to warrant an blast of atomic breath. He inhaled, held his breath for a second, letting the atomic fires in his thorax fester, heat up his insectiod lungs, and then with a mighty breath let out a stream of glowing green atomic particles!
22. MOve action: Drop to the ground prone (Prone fighting - no penalties, but -4 to hit him with ranged!) Standard action: Atomic Breath! (DC 18 Reflex to limit damage, DC 18 Damage Fort Save)
23. So I think Baz has a toughness roll to make (I presume that AoE is targetted rather than general) Toughness: 1d20+8 16 for a bruise from that.
