  1. Thats legit, although p121/122 says that Staggered effectively takes two rounds to do (HP allows a full round action to recovery, but Staggered means you can only take a Standard action / round). Still, preemptive action is fine...do you want to post? Thev, what is Dee doing?
  2. Ok so Foreshadow is awake, and we are still out of contact. Post away guys Synapse: 3 HP - Fatigued Foreshasow - 2 HP - Bruised, Staggered
  3. GM Another burst of gunfire was heard as Synapse flew through the crisp cold air, and landed. "<Obey. Stop Target>" said one athlete, turning on his skis. "<Obey. Stop Target>" agreed the other athlete, not even nodding his head. Unfortunately travelling down hill on skis was easy and fast. Travelling up hill, not so much. The skis were soon abandoned as the two men started clambering up the snow back towards Synapse, Blonsky, an unconscious Foreshadow, and the unexploded mine. Whilst the men where in uncanny shape, they would need some time to clamber back up. Blonsky grunted, still trying to break free. "There!" he spat out, pointing at a piece of the biathalon track. Now he pointed it out, a slight ruffling and shaking of the snow that covered it could be seen. A devil to spot otherwise. Edward would have to have been extremely lucky or extremely paranoid to have noticed it - particularly as his mind was set on the competition.
  4. OK I suggest we jump posts slightly - so two rounds of Synapse flying back to the Mine, and one round only of assault rifle attack (given the second round they would be out of range) 1d20+2=4 So lets move out of combat for now, but the Beefcakes are slowly making their way back to the mine site.
  5. GM Synapse could feel the mind of Blonsky strain against hers, and with all the plates she was spinning, keeping Blonsky under her control was an admirable feat. The Snowmobile span out through the air, and into the snow, sliding and tumbling, and in the process completely wrecking the vehicle. By that time, Blonsky and her where both in the air, passing the two skiing athletes. Credit to their single-mindedness. If they were shocked at a snowmobile cartwheeling out of a luge track behind a petrified luge competitor, if they were shocked at Blonsky and Dee flying through the air, they did not show it. Instead, they turned skis to stop, and the one with the functional assault rifle let a burst of bullets through the air, although he could not keep an accurate bead on the airborne hero and her captive.
  6. 1d20+2=6, 1d20+2=6 Bullets go wide! Although on reflection one of the Athletes bust his rifle on Foreshadows head, so only one actually gets to fire! Synapse is up!
  7. All good, and I will dismiss 1 of those HP again, just for doing ridiculously awesome stuff. For the record: Synapse: 3 HP Post away!
  8. Right so another round of DC 14 Reflex saves for Blood and the last remaining Barnacle Golem. 1d20+6=20 Blood Makes it. 1d20+6=16 as does the third golem. For convenience sake, I am saying the skeleton crew remain frozen. Post away! Then, Glamazon is up!
  9. GM What was it? Both Cannonade and Silhouette had been around the Puttymen now. They had seen how it worked, and examined it. Was it a slight softness? a slight bubbling? or a flux? it was hard to be sure, but easy to suspect. M, and his men, were not the real M and his men. Their faces were made of putty. Perhaps too, it was the smile on Doctor Romberts face as he met with M. "Its a well kept secret" replied not-M to Carrie. "I am sure nobody could penetrate our organisation!" he said, a smile on his lips. "Well then, I best take in the good doctor for interrogation...and you can be on your way...with the King's thanks, of course!"
  10. for reference, im in!
  11. GM Struggling against Synapse, Blonsky shuddered and jerked. He was a KGB agent, trained to resist interrogation and even mind reading, but Synapse was simply too strong for him. "<Damn you witch!>" he grunted before Synapse finally got inside him. Even then, he was fighting, but fighting was futile. Like an electric shock down his arm, his hand opened and the gun fell from him, spinning up the luge track and narrowly missing Synapses Head. The two athletes, having "stopped" Foreshadow, started on their ski's, following Blonsky and Synapse. They were unable to match speed, but on the other hand they did not bend and curve like the luge course. Synapse looked at the snowmobile, and saw the fuel counter at zero...the engine started to splutter... Meanwhile, Edward was holstering his rifle and started to cross the next part of the course...where a hidden mine lay...
  12. Round 6: 25 Foreshadow - Bruised, Staggered, KO, 3 HP 20 Beefcake 1 - Bruised 20 Beefcake 2 - Bruised x4 18 Blonsky - Bruised, Mind Controlled 8 Synapse - Unharmed - 5 HP, on SNW 1 So the Beefcakes are going to follow orders and start skiinig after Synapse. Blonsky is mind controlled. Ill make an IC post and then synapse is up. Again, its a DC 15 concentration roll to maintain forcefield and mind control powers. Also, another HP for Synapse and Foreshadow both, as Edward starts skiing towards the mine, with Foreshadow lying several feet away in the snow...
  13. 1d20+10=14 controlled - post away!
  14. Rene Lord Steam Bloody Mess None! Pitch Sunset GM Misc Ref point to go to Pitch, please. GM and rollover posts to push Pitch to 25 Posts (which I think can be just about cobbled together!), the others spread out as efficiently as possible, priority is Steam, Mess, Sunset.
  15. "This reminds me of...how you American's say...Ze Wild West, Non?" Rene mopped his brown. He could not rightly tell if it was hot here, given the way of the dreamlands. Still, it felt right to mop his brown, and so he did. He felt quite jealous of Mona's hat. His own beret was for style rather than keeping out the sun...or what passed for the sun here. "I seem to recall ze American's make films. You know, as they have no style, artistry or history, they try to fill the gaping hole with ze wild west. A waste of celluloid, of course. Ze French films, now that is Art!" He cocked an eyebrow at Daphne. "I guess saturday mornings were watching old western reruns?" he asked, wondering if the image had been plucked from Daphnes mind, and if so, why. Of course, it was quite possible that it had just drifted in from the collective unconscious of the world. "It has been quite a while since I fired a six-gun" he said, remembering his adventures with Father Henri when he had been a very young man. "I almost wish I had one now, ah, sentiment!"
  16. "And then, there were two walruses and a pencil!" Lord Lockwood supped his champagne whilst the punchline hit in, a very agreeable punchline too, it seemed, as the small group he had be entertaining burst into laughter. He could hardly claim the witticism was his. It had been doing the rounds in Earth Victoriana for the past few months. Of course, that didn't mean he should confess that it originated elsewhere, either. His eccentricity was a magnet at such events. From his steam powered horseless cart alongside the flashy automobiles outside, to his peculiar dress sense, he was no shrinking violet. "Mr. Warrington, dear chap!" he called over to the curator, and saluted him with a raise of his glass. "A terribly spiffing party, what ho!" he toasted, to the clinks of glass and salutes of those nearby. He took another generous sup from his glass, noting that it had slid down his throat all to easily, and in immodest quantity all night. He felt awash with moderate intoxication. Best let Blakely drive...he thought to himself, referring to his loyal butler who awaited outside.
  17. GM "<Obey! Obey! For Russia!" intoned the Athlete in a powerful voice, his muscles flexing like a sack of walnuts. He took his rifle, now battered beyond use, and once again swung at Foreshadow with power and speed. A crunching blow to the head was the result, a follow up from the blow to Foreshadows arm. Tough as Foreshadow was, the Athlete was strong beyond belief, an olympian power lifter. The force knocked Foreshadow away, into the snow, out cold. "Faster! Faster!" yelled Blonsky at the Luge driver who was sweating despite the chill. Blonsky risked a look back to see Synapse tearing after him in the Snowmobile. "I don't believe it!" he conceded at the outrageous stunt by Synapse. Believe it or not, he fire off a crack crack crack of three bullets, all hitting snow, before jamming his gun at the temple of the Luge driver again.
  18. After discussion with HG, going for the full KO for an HP. For reference: Foreshadow - Knocked out, Staggered, Bruised - 2 HP The Luge is flying full speed ahead. Given that is being driven largely by a olympian luge athlete, ill just say that he drives it! Blonsky will try a shot at the Synapse. Given he is bending around and on a luge ill give him a massive -5 to the attack, on the other side, being on the luge means flat footed. 1d20+7=11 failed. Synapse is up: DC 15 to drive (fail by 5 means crash), DC 15 concentration for the force field. Ultimately the snowmobile is faster, so if you DC 20 the drive you can ram him.
  19. Whoosh! 1d20+8=26 A smash in the head. Strength bonus is +6, improvised weapon is +2, so a DC 23 Toughness save for Foreshadow!
  20. As everyone else is timestopped! Round 2 22 - Tsunami - 2 HP 21 - Glamazon - 1 HP 21 - Captain Blood (Time Stopped) 19 - Temperance - 3 HP - Bound (5) 11 -Wave Eye - 1 HP 10 - Freed Guests (Dying) 10 - Crew [10] (Time Stopped) 6 - Barnacle Golem (Time Stopped) As the antagonists here are time stopped, lets drop out of combat until 1 minute (new saves) or Tsunami releases the time stop. In the meantime, there are two dying guests on the floor!
  21. GM "Dancia, if we crack this case, you'll be the star of the town. And I'll take you to Vegas for a weekend" chuckled Marcus, taking a sip of wine. "Doctor Singh, he has a list of credentials as long as your arm. Some kind of genius. Works in biochemistry, and every organisation in the world, benign or otherwise, wants a piece of him" he said, studying their quarry carefully. "His current boss, well, that's the trick. Some small outfit called Biotech Unlimited. Small, but no doubt dirty. They had some major accident a month ago, and everything went quiet and hush hush. No doubt some major bribing and string pulling to keep it all quiet. Who knows what this company is, anyway? The Mob? Worse?" he shrugged. "But my nose tells me Singh and his laboratory are up to no good. Maybe even dangerous...heads up...he is on the move!" Singh had indeed sat up, paid the bill, and was on his way out. "So, you with me? I want to know what this guy is up to, and you, my beautiful lady, are my date for the night!"
  22. Which Means: Round 5: 25 Foreshadow - Bruised - 1 HP, on SNW 2 20 Beefcake 1 - Bruised 20 Beefcake 2 - Bruised x4, Dazed 18 Blonsky - Bruised, on luge course 8 Synapse - Unharmed - 4 HP, on SNW 1 Notes: DC 10 To maintain control of vehicle, DC 15 to move all out. DC 10 Concentration maintain sustained powers.(+5 to both DC when driving a snowmobile down a luge course) SNW 1 Vehicle is Injured and leaking fuel. Mine spotted by Foreshadow, still active. Foreshadow is up!
  23. 1d20+2=16 so he is bruised and dazed! Also HP for general awesomeness - riding a snowmobile down a luge track/. DC 15 Concetration roll please to keep up sustained powers
  24. It was all pretty crazy. But then that was life when demon crazy popped up. Nobody ever got used to it, she reckoned. But maybe a small part of her started to enjoy the wildness. And maybe that wasn't a bad thing, and antidote to resentment she used all her life. "Steel yourself, sucker!" she shouted at the last visible demon, and clenched her fist, allowing just enough rage to summon the infernal forge. "Heads up!" A spinning tumbling shard of metal, razor sharp, black and smoking flew from her hand in a long arc, trailing a line of smoke behind it, almost gracefully. For all its grace, it was propelled like a shotgun, and twice as deadly...
