  1. 1d20+5=17 Another Bruise, Another Daze! Post that away, and then Round 2: 25 Foreshadow - Unharmed - 2 HP, on SNW 2 20 Beefcake 1 - Unharmed, Taunted 20 Beefcake 2 - Unharmed, Dazed (til 8), Bruised x2 18 Blonsky - Bruised, on snow slope 8 Synapse - Unharmed - 3 HP, on SNW 1 Notes: DC 10 To maintain control of vehicle, DC 15 to move all out. DC 10 Concentration maintain sustained powers. SNW 1 Vehicle is Injured and leaking fuel. Beefcakes are now 200 ft from Mainaction. Mine spotted by Foreshadow, still active.
  2. That does indeed and with full +3 autofire bonus, making it a DC 23 Toughness Save by my count! So for all his power, he only has a +1 toughness bonus... 1d20+1=21 hows about that? Bruised! Post away!
  3. "I have ze sinking feeling" replied Rene with a sigh and a smile blended into one vaguely enigmatic movement. "Tunnels, in the dreamscape. Well, you can have tunnels anywhere, so why not here? I have seen them before. I have even travelled them. But ze journey is never so pleasant...It makes me sea sick!" he said as he felt the pull of the bubble on his beard, then the rest of him. "But I believe you are right, Mona. This is the root of ze problem. From this, ze dreams of rage and blood. No sweet dreams today, for sweet dreams are not made of this!" And with that, he spiralled into the tunnel, holding on to his beret with one hand and pressing his glasses to his nose with the other, lest they fall away with the psychic turbulence.
  4. GM It was all happening so fast. Blonsky tumbled, rolled and slid in the snow ass he was knocked off the vehicle. Foreshadow could hear some choice Russian expletives as he tumbled. He was struggling to pull out his gun, but stunned as he was, it was only his years of military training and reflex that stopped the gun slipping from his grip - or worse, firing off a shot. The snowmobiles trajectory was taking them well off course from the Biathalon track. The treeline was passed, and the ground began to slope, all helping Blonsky roll and tumble besides the two heroes in their bikes. The Russian Atheletes had not forgotten their orders. Two full bursts of automatic fire were loosened, but the victim of Synapses Power could hardly aim straight. He seemed to be shooting at the sky and then at the snow beneath his feet in an almost reflex way. As his body convulsed from the psychic attack, he let off jerking bursts of bullets. It was a miracle he didn't shoot off his foot, but he certainly wasn't aiming at the heroes. It looked like he had gone cross eyed.
  5. GM The Arrow was on target, as always, but Blonsky had got lucky, ducking down by luck more than judgement. Doubling over, in fact. His body crunched with the effort, perhaps with pain, perhaps with a perfusion of energetic bliss. It was hard to say. What one could say is that he burned with a bright orange-purple energy, and turned his now glowing eyes towards Blue Jay. "My mission is to destroy...My mission is to destroy..." he gasped, his very breath a glowing vapour of energy. "I have been holding back...so hard...so confused....you have no idea of my power...and now you seek to mock me? Seek to control me? To hell with you all!!!" And with that he exploded. Jay had never seen or felt anything like it. A moment of inhalation, like everything around Gold, even the air, even herself was getting sucked into him. But only for a moment, before the exhalation, a vast power beyond comprehension, rending even the air and exploding with pure force.
  6. Which, incredibly, is a miss! Exploding Gold responds by..yes, you guessed it....exploding! This is pretty much all he does. And he is good at it. Its a DC 25 Reflex Save to avoid a DC 23 Toughness Save (Including Evasion 2 effects) - In other words a Damage 15 Explosion Effect.
  7. And then we have the Beefcakes. One is dazed from the mind blast, so won't act. the other brainwashed beef will unleash more gunfire at Synapse (same rules as before with +2 cover) 1d20+8=19 is a hit, but again, the snowmobile rather than Synapse. A DC 20 Toughness Save for the vehicle. 1d20+8=11 It narrowly avoids being wrecked, but it acquires an injury Blonsky is Dazed, so no action. Synapse is up, and being mean I will give her a -2 DC roll on drive at the moment from the gunfire. She is running parallel with Foreshadow and his newly acquired snowmobile, and Blonsky is rolling in the snow parallel to them. DC 10 Drive to maintain control and stay parallel (other DCs for cool stunts like a victory flip) EDIT: For reference snowmobile rides probably mean a DC10 COnetration roll to maintain powers, but hey--Synapse has +12 Bonus so no point!
  8. That is all good! He is suitably flat footed from somebody jumping on to his Snowmobile! 1d20+6=13 Bruised, dazed, staggered! Also, I will rule he is knocked off his snowmobile! No damage from rolling into the snow though. That does mean that Foreshadow is on a snowmobile without a driver - consider that a move action next round to get into the drivers seat. Post away!
  9. Not only that, Bloody Mess actually has turbo powered blood! Its like crack cocaine, man...
  10. Ill offer to GM this if you can stand me! EDIT: Or, if you are looking for Street Heroes, Ill throw in Bloody Mess (Da Street Detective) or Lord Steam (Spiffy Champagne Detective)
  11. Archived at player request
  12. Round 2: 25 Foreshadow - Unharmed - 2 HP 20 Beefcake 1 - Unharmed, Taunted 20 Beefcake 2 - Unharmed, Dazed (til 8), Bruised 18 Blonsky - Unharmed 8 Synapse - Unharmed - 3 HP Foreshadow is up! Playing a bit loose with the rules, Synapses speedy driving means she is a hairs breath away from Blonsky. Behind them (again, lets say a few dozen feet) are the two Beefcakes and a mine. And there is a trail of petroleum on the ground!
  13. 1d20+1=2 ...Jay goes first!
  14. Rene considered the question carefully. Marceau's razor sharp mind had once again hit the nail on the head. How indeed? His memories cast over the years, now dim and distant. But he would never forget Gallia, ever since his first enigmatic encounter with her at the time of troubles in France. She had only seemed more twisted as the years and centuries past. "I would incite the crowd to rend us limb from limb, in a Dionysian frenzy" he said, glumly, aware of what a huge throng of people were here. An emotional throng of people. "I would paint us as the aggressor, the villain, the enemy, and console myself in my own righteousness" he sighed. "That would be the taste of satisfaction. To know one is right, rather than to question it, this is the seduction for the weak" he explained. "And given our present circumstances, I fear we have walked into a pit..."
  15. 1d20+5=14 thats a fail by 9, so bruised and dazed. Post away!
  16. Ok so lets see how Jay does against the conflicted Mr. Gold! Initiative Roll please...
  17. GM Although Gold didn't move, his voice grew as cold as the winter air. "My family? What do you know of my family?" he said in an even voice, sobbing stopped. "I don't know what's real or not any more. My whole life...a lie..." he said, bringing his head up to fix Jay with a stony gaze. "I remember, you see. Something has awoken the beast. I was born in Russia, I remember the training, the KGB...the experiments..." he shook his head. "There is a man, they call him the Sleeper. He ran the KGB like a maestro. He knows all the tricks. Brainwashing, mind control, false memories..." He shook his head. "They may seem real, my family...but I remember Russia. I remember my mission. I am a living weapon!" With the last shout he roared. "And you won't come here to make a fool of me!" With that, he started rumbling deeply, eye's glowing a bright red...
  18. Looks good to me, except you seem to have miscounted the Device Blaster as 20 PP not 12?
  19. GM The Athlete crunched his neck muscles stiffly at Foreshadows verbal assault. "Not true...Serve Mother Russia...Superior...Superior..." he said back like a robot. A shaken robot, however. The brainwashing and chemicals had not done much to limber up his cortex, it seemed. It was hard to say the bag of muscles flinched...it was more likely that he stiffened with tension at having to compute such foreign concepts with a limited amount of brain power. If he had been closer, Foreshadow could have sworn the mans eyes crossed as he tried to wrap his head around strange and inexplicable ideas. A barrage of gunfire from both athletes silenced further conversation. Foreshadow and Synapse heard the bullets whizzing past them, and digging up puffs of snow around their ride. None hit either of them. But they heard a ping as one bullet hit the Snowmobile. Nothing exploded or seized up, but they could both detect the faint odour of gasoline...
  20. Blonsky is just jumping on the Snowmobile and Powering away. In current terrain it is a DC 10 Drive Roll to stay in control, DC 15 if going full speed. As it is, he will play cautious for now... 1d20+6=24 Which Means Synapse is up!
  21. The Goons will reply with two bursts of automatic fire! Im not going to make this too complex about hitting people on a snowmobile, so I will just say that you have +2 to your defence on their attacks, and if they hit in that extra range, it will hit the Snowmobile instead. So...1d20+8=15, 1d20+8=24 First Goon misses. Second Goon would hit, but the Snowmobile Suffers instead, which means a Toughness Roll...oooh errr...Snowmobiles, eh? Im going to go with: Snowmobile: Strength 20, Speed 4 (100mph), Toughness 8 (Plus some gumf about travelling on snow...) Its hit with a bullet DC 20 Toughness, and the roll is: 1d20+8=22 so no injury. However, to keep things interesting, lets say the fuel tank was hit, and an HP to Foreshadow for that (un)lucky escape! Foreshadow - Unharmed - 2 HP
  22. 1d20+5=11 He is taunted! Post away Round 1: 25 Foreshadow - Unharmed - 1 HP 20 Beefcake 1 - Unharmed, Taunted 20 Beefcake 2 - Unharmed 18 Blonsky - Unharmed 8 Synapse - Unharmed - 3 HP
  23. Which means Foreshadow is up!
