  1. McDuffy looked like his feet were on slowly burning. He hopped impatiently and nervously from one foot to the other and back again. The infection spread, and soon he was wringing his hands nervously, wondering how he should redirect the tour back into his hands, and redirect Amirs money into the institution. He looked like he had an electric shock when Amir swung the axe. "Er...yes...well....if there is anything...that is....we would be delighted to....that is...I hope you can see that...err....goodbye..." he scuttled both in voice and body, seeing himself out of the room. Mr Assif studied Amir with patient, smouldering eyes, sizing up Amir and recognising him. "I know you" he said slowly. "I wonder what you want to speak to me for? I'm just a lab assistant" he said, tone calmly neutral.
  2. ok these guys are not a big threat, but lets kick off with some initiative! Ill give them 1d20+0=20 for initiative. Waiting on Sand
  3. GM The kick was accurate and formidable. At closer distance, Jay could see the man in more detail, hunched carefully. He was around fourty, but it was hard to tell. He had a beard, warm clothing, and sungoggles, with a hood pulled over his head. Something about him smelled military - something about his build, his movements, his skill and comfortable relationship with guns. He was a tough sort, but he got caught out. He went flying through the air, carving out a trench in the snow, rolling, then lying flat on his face, out cold. "Nice moves!" yelled Cord, keeping his gun out and aimed at the hunters. He wasnt taking chances, but grabbed his taser in the other hand. Lethal kills were not on the menu for him. "Whata we got here? another team after our man? not ours..." he shook his head. "I just hope this is the only competition we have...looks like this deal just gets worse and worse, huh?"
  4. 1d20+4=9 KO!
  5. Because I am tuned into the Universe Man! Sheesh, even if you are right, don't feel so confident about it, love! Maybe you should be out here instead? Right on, they would dig me, f'shure! "I don't know..." she said, in her head and out of her lips at the same time. Perhaps the Radical would "dig" these hirsute men better than she. But right now, she didn't fancy changing in front of them. "Honestly, I don't!" she explained, giving Dr Tomorrow a sideways glance. "Do I?" she asked him. "I can...see things others cant. In the past, what has gone before. Yesterday, yesteryear, yester...century" she explained, wondering just how far she could go. She had traversed a century, but never pushed it further. She felt a little fainter in herself when she went backwards. Several thousand millennia...that would be a trip to the unknown. "What does it mean...the...great rock...coming to life?" she asked, feeling her way to polite inquiry.
  6. Rene pondered Mona's last words. If her sole duty was to protect the divide, then...well, it was a helpful role, no question about it. Although he noted that he had sent that divide asunder on time, when it suited him. His power was also from the realm of imagination and dreams. Bringing forth denizens from that world and painting lightning, sunbeams, and silken webs onto the world of the waking was something that prodded that divide harshly. And yet, and yet...there were things abound that did not just prod the divide but threaten to destroy it all together. He just hoped Mona would stay well inclined. "The Cafeteria!" he said, cheerfully, smiling with sparkling eyes. "I think my old ears can actually hear something! well...onwards then? I would like a croissant and some sweet coffee!" he said, licking his lips.

  8. OOC for A short monster run for Life Knight and Blur.
  9. GM February 23rd, a regular sunday afternoon... It was indeed a regular sunday afternoon. Going to church, settling down for a big Sunday lunch, hustle, bustle, rest and relaxation. The City ticked along at a pleasant pace. Except! Out of the manhole, out of the sewers, came two Sewer workers, in broad daylight. Not your regular sewer workers, no. That would be quite unremarkable. Instead, the two men were covered in a green shine, a goo that clung to their skin and dribbled from their mouth, oozed from ear and eye. A slime not of this earth. Not words came from their mouths, just a long drawn out wail of despair. One swung an arm at a cop who approached, cautiously. A slow armbar slamming into the cop and gripping him. He immediately seized up, choking, and collapsing to the street, his face puffed out and red, reacting to the slime that touched him. Again, the two sewer workers wailed...and lurched forward to the screaming pedestrians and cars that had slammed still.
  10. Sand you still want to join? if so, did you guys have any ideas how to meet up?
  11. Explosion time: A DC 15 Lethal Damage effect from the explosion, then you are in Earth Victoriana!
  12. GM BOOOOOM! It was louder this time, more real, a flash of heat and energy, and a smell. Gunpowder, metal, rock, dust. The explosion was not yet quite material, but it could be felt, heard, smelled. Hairs ruffled and singed, and Big Bobs rootund girth wobbled from the impact. And then, a sucking sound, a sucking feeling. And then... And then Bob, Alexander and Dee were somewhere quite different. On a railtrack, to be precise, the sun overhead, hot. Dust in the air, and the twisted remains of a metal track in front of them. The fields were lush around them, with fair mountains in the distance. It must be built! came the voice of industry to Alexanders head. It was clearer here, but still enigmatic and vague. Half a voice, hald a sense of urgency, desire. The track, it said, must be built. And clearly the explosion had not helped that. Ahead, a few hundred metres, some people were running to the explosion. Workers, it seemed, building the track onwards through this hot and pleasant land.
  13. Bingo! And it looks pretty beautiful too! "Hey everybody..." said Sam, slowly, holding up her hands in a universal gesture of peace. Hey...are these guys safe? They are primitive hunters...this could get messy... You gotta be kidding me...these guys are us, in the future! look at how they have evolved! a utopian society of hunter gatherers, in tune with nature and the universe! Ok, so they may look a little....hisrute...but that's cool, man...no way am I getting all kung fu on these guys! "I...er....don't suppose you speak English?" she asked, curling her lips to whisper at Dr. Tommorrow "...or do you speak far future man-apes?" she added. "I mean, they look kinda peaceful, but then they do hunt those...gecko-spider things...and skin them...I hope not alive..." she added. It suddenly struck her that despite all the preparation she had the Radical had made, she had not yet been in a real, guys and blood fight...
  14. "Speed ain't my thing, except on my bike" said Pitch, burning away quietly. "Unless I blow out my little fiery friend...but I wouldn't trust him to be truthful" she said, quenching Tazel's bile in her stomach. "Any witnesses to these break ins?" she asked, fingering her cane. "Don't even have to be humans...some creatures of the beast, maybe, rats...dogs..." she asked, wondering if street vermin would be any more reliable. "Or maybe some hoodoo thing? ghosts? or the walls themselves?" she asked. Nick was pretty good at that stuff. "Other than that, its the slow train for me" she explained, tapping the cane on the floor. She was never going to be a world class splinter with that leg.
  15. What Thev said. Also, to be honest, there is little point in putting "make a fort save or" for things like complications. Either you have a negative effect (and an HP) or you dont (and its not a complication). Just leave it as "happens when it is cool". Why should you be a slave to dice to have/not have a cool thing like that happen at a good time?
  16. Quick notes on scanning No need to pay for a motorbike as per house rules. ..unless it has additional capabilities Linking strike with strike...even if different saves...not good. You can only attack once a round!
  17. Vrroooom Sat atop a burning motorcycle, all flames and smoke, Pitch revved up her engine for effect and clacked down the vehicle to a stop. Tazel, her bound demon, bubbled furiously in her, but he knew that he was bound to her. Part of him was familiar enough to like it, part of him was just an innate rebellious demon. He was firing her body up, filling it with angry smoke and flame. Her eyes glowed a smouldering red, the darkness no shield to her eyes. She didn't recognise Graft, but if the alien looking monster was a friend of Nicks, that made him ok. Pitch had a hard time with trust, but Nick deserved it. He kept the ghosts at bay, and she kept the demons away. "What is it this time?" she asked. "I ain't no smart ass detective, but break ins, claws, and you on the trail. Well, it ain't no escaped lion from the zoo. At least, no regular one..." She gave a quick salute to Graft. "Evenin' mister, or ma'am. Cant rightly say for sure, but you look like a cover of a seventies Rock concept album!" she said with a smoky grin. "Don't mind me, as long as you with the good guys, I don't judge by appearances!" she explained, getting off her bike and clutching the Cantos cane in her hand, its brass and wood black with smoke. "This ain't my normal patch, or yours..." she said turning to Nick and walking up to him slowly, a stiff limp in her leg. "...do you know what we are looking for?" she asked, red eyes glowing.

  20. IC post to that effect!
  21. "You got me...." said Carmen, her leg sending messages of pain up her body. Still, nothing she couldn't handle, she told her self. She had pains down that leg half her life. A few bourbons always helped. "...another day, demon. I haven't heard anything new from your lips!" she finished, smiling in defiance. She pulled on the chains binding John, and with an almight effort, rolled him and her into the fire... ...and out the other side. Both smoking and heated from the flames. Normally Tazel would protect her from fires, but right now, it was just another scorch and cinder. She patted herself down, looking at the fire they had rolled out of. Looked like an upturned drum, with some very startled tramps draws dropped as a man and a woman came out of the fire they had been huddled around. "Ouch...." she whispered. She looked bedgraggled, dirty, and even bloody. Hoperfully none of the homeless read Rock Report or she would be facing some difficult questions. On the subject of Tazel... Where are you! I command you to reply! No funny games today!
  22. There are a lot of bystanders around, TT: Some may get caught in the blast? You could use that move action to get into a better position, but still may knock down the podium and blow some speakers!
  23. Which means Cannonade is up!
  24. 1D20+14 => 16 grappled him good and proper. (Pinned, in fact). Post that away, but you notice the Puttyman is also abnormally strong. Not superhuman, but he is phenomenally strong for his size and weight.
  25. (Which means Carries is up again!)
