  1. I'll let Thev answer that, HG! In the meantime, I think you are up IC!
  2. Fair enough, Thev...but the biology goes to Jasmine, here. I think!
  3. So not the fine details. Project Antibody is a program to "cyborg-ise" humans to function as defence drones for the Haven.
  4. Sure. Throw me a life sciences roll to see if she can fill in the gaps.
  5. GM There seemed to be an internal debate amongs the Emerald Security Staff. They were good, and well paid. However the men looked mighty strong. In essence, they had to do something, but they seemed to drag their feet in the hopes that the men had punched each others lights out before they waded in and required dental work. Ericks snap brought them to focus. Tasers drawn, they marched up and adminstered a number of zaps to both men, who it seemed had ox like stamina. But eventually they were detained, and dragged off premises to the police. "<Ladies and Gentlemen, I do apologise for the minor inconvenience>" said the reception manager, both in English and in Russian. "<There is no cause to be alarmed. Our security staff have attended to the matter>" he smiled his way through the shock of the guests, who started to calm down. He also cast an eye of Erick, K, and even Dee, who had just entered. "<Hmph, They only care about their wallets and takings>" whispered K to Erik. "<They probably want to throw me out onto the stre...>" "<Excuse me, sirs>" interrupted the manager, a voice all silk and steel. "<Do you have a reservation? May I see? Unfortunately due to the recent incident, I must ask anyone without a reservation to leave. I don't want to throw you out onto the street haha>" he unjoked, giving a glance at K.
  6. Right could I have some fairly obvious DC 10 Sense Motive Rolls to detect the athletes are not behaving normally. DC 20 (trained) Behavioural Sciences roll to note they show clear signs of "brain washing".
  7. Looks good. Attack bonus doesnt seem to notate the Ranged Focus Feat. I am a little unsure how the strike power is Vampiric in terms of fluff? Finally, I will comment that the final complication example, such as not being able to take a blast for a civillian, is a little weird, as taking the blast would be an HP for being heroic. I am not sure you would get an HP for not taking one!
  8. Ok, so to keep things simple, as the vipers cannot hurt you at all, I am going to say they all fail (their will is +1 only) to keep it neat. Croc: 1d20+3=18 is shaken Post that away, and lets drop out of combat for a moment.
  9. Roo> Booby Traps Jasmine finds are very good, disarrmed on DC 30. The medical bay can of course be used if you have a medicine skill.
  10. The sunset suit glowed. Orange light flickered, blurred, and coalesced into an unblinking eye. The sights were extraordinary, and the Radical wanted to see them too. Breathless, Sunset drank in the scenery. "Thats a lot of history! I can barely take it in...so this is the future? Humanity struggling into spring after the bleakest of winters? Tell me, what happened? How did they not ivercome this? What threat lurks to blight the world?:
  11. The man blocked Ericks mighty kick with his face. His jaw sprang back, like a hinge, and the man was almost lifted off his feet, despite his great strength. He went up, then down again like a sack of potatoes, which, given his mighty build was something of an achievement. Even down, he was not out, just with glazed eyes and a devout mission in his mind. "<Retrieve target. Retrieve target. Retreive target...>" he mumbled, his voice low, his eyes blank. Sergeant K jumped to his feet and scuttled behind Erick. "<See? See? They are all after me! You gotta protect me! These guys are part of the olympic team! They are gonna silence me for good! Help! Help!>" he jibbered. The man was not a coward, but given the impressive frame of the men, and their apparent merciless devotion to their mission, his panic was not entirely unreasonable.
  12. I think NMess' Boost fades at round 12? (for reference)
  13. Rene once again felt the sting of the machete. Without his Iron Ring, he would be mincemeat by now. He had a brief flashback to the French Revolution, and the horrors of swords and blood. Blinking, he determined not to fall prey to such carnage himself. "<Formidable! Your fencing has a merry dance to it, if inelegant!>" he said to the men, backing away from the swipes, cuts, and thrusts. He doubted they could hear him, and wondered they were even sentient. They were dangerous, however. <"Shazam!>" he gesticulated wildly, and a burning crackle of green fire swept from left to right, a summoning of magical energy that blurred and fizzed, and was gone in an instant.
  14. So Rene will try to blast the two of these guys one more, with a move action for a few feet, and then a standard area line attack. DC 20 Reflex for half, DC 25/20 Toughness.
  15. Base Defence of 8, but I will say flat footed this round, and also prone (-4 to defence), so yes that hits. Ill wing this a bit, as I have fudged this, lets say a DC 10 Difficulty to kick K free, based on your damage roll. 1d20+3=23 Yoikes, so with that, I will also give you the oppurtunity to daze, bruise, stagger, or KO the guy. Your choice!
  16. Rene Toughness: 1d20+16=27 I think he has 2 bruises (best keep track of those?) so thats 25 which I think makes it?
  17. 1d20+10=16 and thats not including the bruises, so Dazed and Bruised again
  18. Synapse's computer check: the four pods that Osprey has found contain human bodies in suspended animation. The files refer to "Cybernetic Control Implants" that are also functional on the bodies, and that "Project Antibody" has activated. The actual files on that are long and complex, referring to some automated sequence in the medical bay that modifies human bodies, primarily in the cortex.
  19. GM The hunters were a little slow in the snow, and in this bleak landscape, there was not much cover. The glue descended like a carpet, hardening on touch, and they were all soon bound like rats in a trap. Nearly all. The hunters seemed good, probably ex soldiers by their prattle and movements. But the leader was not your regular jar-head. He was quick, and quick-thinking. "Move!" he shouted to his troops when the glue rained. His orders did not help, but he was fast enough. He rolled in the snow, ducking behind a tree that was showered with the glue trap. There was a brief moment of silence. "Clever, my friend!" he shouted to Jay. "Do you know who we are tracking? I guessing that you are tracking him too, huh? Well, if you know what you are dealing with, then disarming him aint gonna work. Or snaring him in glue. This is serious! and it calls for a serious response! The target needs to be put down!" Cord spoke up, voices carrying clear in the white crisp air. "Put down? You mean killed?" he asked. "Do you know what would happen if he died? Maybe he will explode. Might take half of Canada with him. Who knows? This is serious!" he demanded. There was no reply. The hunter leader ducked behind some rocks, quiet and stealthy, and was gone...
  20. so the three hunters first 1d20+1=21, 1d20+1=10, 1d20+1=11, 1d20+1=9, 1d20+1=3, 1d20+1=12. The first one makes his Area save, but all three fail the base reflex save, and by 5, so all snared. Consider them out! 1d20+8=17, 1d20+8=25 Lead Hunter makes it, and will respond by diving into cover.
  21. GM At the Hanover Institute of Technology "McDuffy" said the name tag on the man. He wore a crisp suit. His hair was slicked into a crisp style, to cover the beginnings of baldness. Even his orange fake tan skin had a certain crispness to it. McDuffy may have been short and middle aged, but he prided himself on looking to consumerate PR professional for the HIT. "Delighted you could come, Mr Misri" said McDuffy, placing a "V.I.P" badge onto Amir's suit. "We at the HIT pride ourselves on being at the cutting edge of technology in the world. We have over one thousand employees in various subdivisions of our academic and practical engineering institutions, including our very own blah blah blah... ... ...and of course we are always delighted to develop more positive relationships within the private sector and I can assure you that any investment from you would be a wise one, considering our world class record in emerging technologies" Most of McDuffy's spiel was prerecorded in his head, a standard patter to try and woo investors and donators, and explain how fantastic the HIT was. It was hard to concentrate on the bland spiel, although Amir was sure he could remember a fact or two if he tried. "So, as our very important guest today, how can I help? I am happy to show you any of our institution, and I am sure some of our key personel could spare a few moments!" he smiled, grinning like an automaton.
  22. Supercape

    Mall Rat

GM The three girls were positively hysterical, screaming at each other and the universe. Sobs punctuated the air when they had had enough time to draw breath between the wails. "What do you mean its not so bad! I look like a mutant! My life is ruined!" said Mindy. "I'm never going to get Todd McAce looking like this!" said Mandy. "Nobody will ever love me...hey..wait..." said Melanie, who stopped mid sob to notice her skin peeling and bubbling, and the green mottled stuff falling off like a snakes skin to reveal pink healthy skin underneath. Never satisfied, the threesome started debating how simply awful the shedded skin looked, how it got in their hair, and how their new pink flesh looked so pale. This was obviously a job for a tanning salon. "I'm going to get that guy! I paid a thousand bucks for this! My daddy's gonna sue his ass!" said Mindy, stomping her foot in indignation.
  23. French Tart? Well, it was as good as any description. "I see, most enlightening!" said Rene, giving another, deeper, bow. He had reassured himself, anyway, that the armour was not exactly hostile. "The Lancaster Witch, is it? Fascinating, I would not have thought a witch would embroil herself so deeply in the spoils of industralisation" he commented, tapping the armour in a friendly way. "But even more of a curious nature is this French Tart, as you say. She must have mighty powers of divination. I don't suppose you could tell us a little of her, or where she went? I am always rather disposed to French Tarts. Well, the culinary kind. Although I understand my friend here likes the more fleshly variety, hmmm huff?" he chuckled, giving Marceau a jovial knee in what he hoped was a manly joke. He added a wink for good measure. He had always liked the Carry on films, with their unpretentious clarity. Sid James was brought from memory to supply inspiration.
  24. 1d20+10=29 Im not sure how many rounds of her rage are left (10 rounds / 1 minute), perhaps a few. If so she would I guess get another +2 on will saves. Anyway, made that one. I guess at that point she will chain John for her standard action this round.
  25. Good by me. The three men fall to the floor in a rather frenzied melee. To stop this getting too complicated Im going to fudge the rules a bit, we are not technically in combat, but combat like actions can be taken - and of course we may flip to combat.
