  1. Daa Daa Daa
  2. Ok, so I am going to ask for two rolls, HG. Firstly, a DC 10 Bluff check to successfully appear drunk. Secondly, a CHA roll (just modified by CHA) to see how much of a ruckus you can create in a short period of time! DC 10: The immediate vicinity notice you. DC 15: The lobby notice you, including the reception staff. DC 20: The hotel notices you, including security and doorman.
  3. I gotta get out of here... The situation, even in her rage of defiance, looked pretty hopeless. Not without hope, but even a furious Carmen knew when the odds had stacked up against her. Travelling with a busted broken leg was going to be even harder than it normally was for her. Her only chance was to flame walk. Pass through fire. "A lot of talk, kid. You gotta lot of talk. But that's all..." she smiled at him, then turned and breathed a massive flame down the alleyway, a deep red flame, like dragonbreath, with sulphur as its smell, and smoke as its decoration. It sang of screeching metal as the fire flew down the alley, lighting the dumpster by her, the trash igniting in an instant. John was near...it was going to take all her strength and effort to get them through...
  4. Ok, plus...I realise she is staggered! Well, for now lets just breathe fire and light it!
  5. Cool, feel free to narrate that gather information thing. It would presumably take an hour or so, and you can do it how you like (have some narrative license, any minor details you add in I will roll with!)
  6. Rene was impressed with both the power and artistry of the construct. "Why what perceptive eyes you have!" he said, open handedly. "I just have a few odd trinkets, nothing special..." he explained, pulling off his ring and pulling out his paintbrush. "I trust they will be in safe hands. I am not well inclined to theft, and neither are my belongings" he explained putting the two valuable artifacts in steel hands. "Unfortunately their potency will linger on us, such is the nature of these things. I can give you the source, but not the froth" he said, waving his hands about theatrically. He tapped his glasses. "And I suppose these things have a little of the sorcerous about them. Its just that without them, I can't see. Nothing magical about that. Just lenses. You wouldn't want a poor helpless man to stumble about blind, would you?" he asked.
  7. Breathing fire over them then! Hopefully next round she can flame walk to another fire...presumably there will be something in range, be it a roaring fire in a home, a tin drum fire by some homeless, or something else... Technically she could Standard Action breathe fire, then switch to flame walking and move action teleport if another fire within 800', but that may not be likely. Thoughts?
  8. Well I think it might be fun for Rene to be without his three trinkets, although he will have a defence of +4 and toughness of 0! How does this sound, Tiff? Also, In essence I would have though their disguises would still hold if his paintbrush was taken, at least till someone used the paintbrush on something else?
  9. Mess is going to prepare a block, if anyone tries to attack Lucy. (Dont think an IC is deserved for that! )
  10. No Dr. Morsi, but finding the trail...is a gather information roll! If Asad wishes to throw his money around, bribes etc, then grab a +6 to that roll. I will also give him a +2 situational roll due to his skill in Knowledge (Civics) and (Business) - he knows a little more the landscape of how to smuggle someone in, and who might be interested in a nuclear scientist. As he has skill mastery you can take 10 of course, but ill give some DCs anyway DC 20: YOu can track him down to Hanover Institute of Technology DC 25: He is working there as a laboratory assistant, under the name of Abdul Assaf. DC 35: The hiring of him seems to have bypassed a lot of checks. He was pushed through by a university lecturer there, Professor James Redwing.
  11. Prince Kahn was troubled by Amir's reaction. "I am not surprised at your reaction to this" he said, nervously. "Yet I feel trepidation. I do not wish this to be known to my family, or my country" He swallowed deeply. "I want to wipe the slate clean" he explained, in full confession, pressing hands together. "As for finding Morsi, I do not think he will be using that name, I am afraid...at least not openly. But I did track him to Freedom City, with bribes and persuasion, and good investigators in Saudi. He came here by boat, it seems. A chartered one, no less..."
  12. 13. The Mess shuddered, his body now free from the awful grasp. THe supercharged blood fizzing in his veins ballooned his limbs now he was free. He sagged to one knee for a moment. The pressure of the grip he had been had forced that blood to his head, and now it flooded back to his body, momentarily clouding his vision and making him feel feint. His boxers reflexes kicked in. One..two...One...two... On autopilot, as he shook off the momentary cobwebs, lefty jabbed, righty hooked. But they were just the spinal reflexes of a fighter, not the focussed attacks of one. "I got ya, ya bozos!" he muttered as his vision expanded again. It was just trash talk. He had done nothing of the sort.
  14. OK Lets see if I can't finish Jack. Going for a big old straightfoward punch. Feinting First, 1d20+5=18 And then lets go for a big old punch. Not shifting...1d20+10=11 well. Whiff that then!
  15. GM Prince Kahn sighed. He had not eaten much, but now his appetite had vanished completely. "Very well. I shall explain" he said with a sad smile. "I have cancer. I have not long to live, and I know the time I face the judgement of heaven is near. I wish to face that judgement with humility and dignity. Hence, my desire, my urgency even, if you will..." "There is...a man. A scientist, in our country. Brilliant, a genius" he said emphatically. "But cold too. I regret to say that he is a nuclear scientist. And one I patronised, to my shame. I believe that our country must develop nuclear power. Odd, perhaps, given our oil, but in today's world, and considering our oil wells will one day run out, I supported this. In secret. And now, in shame..." "I paid more than money. I paid blood. My cancer, no doubt, is caused by my association with the man. Doctor Morsi is his name. I believe now that he was developing nuclear weapons of some kind. He is somewhat radical in his beliefs, you see. Which can sweep one up initially" he confessed. "He left Saudi before I could stop him. Now, he has come here" he spread his hands wide. "Hiding in plain sight, so to speak. To my shame, I would like this resolved quietly, rather than the world know I was involved in sponsoring such a man..." To his credit, the Prince did look thoroughly ashamed.
  16. So, I'm going to try a bit of Arson, see if I cant use some fire to escape. Is there any litter or trash nearby that I can use to set a reasonable sized fire?
  17. What was the saying? Divide an conquer... He grabbed his struck shoulder. Even this phantom flesh could feel pain, he realised. His body, back in the corridor where he had left it, still wore his iron ring, a black circle than made his flesh stronger than steel. But not strong enough here. He was getting chipped at. He redirected his attention to the offender, who had been hacking at him. Time to do that said dividing. The twosome worked in horribly effective unison. "I can throw more than fire!" he proclaimed, his hands dazzling with wisps of flame. Then, from behind the assailant, a flash of lightning sprang, brilliant and strong, and totally impossible, streaking from the window across the room, lancing at the masks back.
  18. So, I am going to use inderect 3 feat on Renes blast to spring an attack from behind him. In conjunction with that, a bluff / feint as move action: 1d20+6=24 Then, a +2 DC / -2 Attack shift: 1d20+10=14 oh well it may hit if flat footed, I guess. And if not, its homing for next round!
  19. 1d20+16=25 I think with the bruise penalty, thats 24, meaning another bruise.
  20. GM "<Bodyguard eh? You got some serious b...>" started agent K in response, before virtually jumping out of his skin. Two men, in hoodies and joggers, entered the Lobby. Both were tall, over six foot, and had massive bodies. Despite their loose fitting garments, their bodies were clearly constucted from muscle rather than fat. And a lot of it. Huge arms and legs moved towards Sergeant K. "<You are coming with us>" they said as they marched to either side. One gave Erick a hard stare. Their faces were broad, square, clean shaven. A burning intensity, a singular purpose, lit their eyes and clenched their jaws. Each man took K by an elbow in what was clearly a grip of iron. "<Tell the American to leave, or we break you arms, and still take you with us>" they whispered to K in grim tones.
  21. 1d20+10=29!
  22. Her leg did hurt, waves of pain coming from it despite the numbed nerve endings. She would need some serious help with the bones there. A vision of the bones snapping out of her skin briefly flashed in her eyes, making her cold and faint. "Getting tired of taunting, yet, boy? I enjoy watching you bash your head against a brick wall. I enjoy watching you fail!" she laughed right at him. Her hand came up, andwith it, a bolt of steel, twisting and tumbling, wicked and sharp. On another day, withot pain, exhaustion, and a broken leg, she might have smacked the kid straight in the head, with a satisfying crunch. Today, some masonry exploded by his side.
  23. Right, so lets give him a straightforward blast of steel. 1d20+10=13 well dang! Lets see what happens with that. At least she has resurrection power if things get truly bad!
