  1. "Hey Lance" said Freddie, giving the policeman a big grin and plonking himself down on the nearest chair. "Lance old buddy, I need your brain once more" conceded Harry, placing his hands in his mac pockets and lovingly carressing the cigar packet he had there, resisting the temptation to stink out Lance's flat by lighting one up. "Me and my partner here, we think we got some super powered thief down at the docks. Someone real strong, you know the score, lifting like a fork lift truck. Grabbed some huge statue clean out of the ship like it was a paper doll, or so I guess. No sign of any heavy machinery" "Then, we found this" he finished, showing Lance the hair. "Super tough. Not normally hair. And scent like perfume. I think we got ourselves some kind of super strong thief. A real swell gal, I'm sure. Someone we...errr....well, my partners would very much like to meet. Thing is, we got our heads a' scratchin. Who could it be?" "So I was wonderin' if there is any word out in FCPD? we got any escaped supervillain of the female gender persuasion running around at the moment?"
  2. Ok so Pulling mind out of Dreamlands (so no longer having Will immunity - which might be interesting!) and bringing Deadbeat out of the Dreamtime (Summon power array). Then, I guess Rene will start looking around, whilst Deadbeat stays y the controls and ensures that the music keeps piping. Want a notice roll or anything?
  3. "I will, Monsieur!" he said. "But, be aware!" he continued, theatrically. "Monsieur Jingles is not a creature of Flesh and Bone. He will not be defeated by a mighty punch, or a bolt of lightning" he explained, although he knew he was speculating. He gave a flex of his old arm, devoid of any significant musculature to emphasise the point. "Jungles is a creature of ze spirit. Of dreams, of nightmares, of desires, wishes, and fears. I fancy he will be defeated by brave heart and courage. And perhaps even, joy..." he smiled. But, having said that, I shall indeed seek him! And I know an old friend of fearless soul, who may just help. And, I think, can help us with the music for the evening. Rene had no mood for cold silences in the Circus. He drew his mind out of the dreamworlds, and dragged something back with it. From around a corner, Henri Zenon appeared. He was a slightly short, mixed race man with grey hair, wearing a neat combination old style suit and shoes, complete with bow tie, braces, and trousers, like he had stepped out of a music hall. He was whistling a gay, rag time tune as he appeared. "My friend here, they call Deadbeat" said Rene, embracing his old friend affectionately. "He can whip up a song and rhythm like no other. And I fancy we will need a gay tune tonight!" he laughed, trying to keep everyones spirits up.
  4. Initiatives! 1d20+7=14 for the Mess 1d20+6=19 for the Hound
  5. Ok I think its time for extra effort stunt, thus fatiguing herself. So she is going to stunt off her Infernal Forge Array. The basic idea is to throw a chain up to the window, and then have it wind her up and propel her through the window. I suppose that would need an attack roll to hit the window but I guess it would also be hard to miss as its immobile (Defence is 5+ Size so given its about human size, Defence 5). Anyway let me know if she needs an attack roll for that with +10 attack bonus. I'm not entirely sure how to build that power, although I hope you understand the description and with 20+PP I guess it would work. The nearest I can think of is: Flight [?] (Limited, one direction) Although I suppose you could build it as leap or something like that. How does that work?
  6. So yes, for reference immune to will saves active at the moment (Head in the clouds of dream time), although note complication he is not immune to sleep or dream based effects with that. Using Magic Paintbrush to illuminate the circus with a pretty shade of pink sunlight (Light Control 10), and then heading off to see if he can blast some Circus music through the loud speakers!
  7. "Jingles! Happy Halloween!" laughed Rene at the night terror. He was damned if the thing would have any sense of satisfaction. Of course, he could spread fear and discord. But he would be known. Rene whipped out his magic paintbrush and spun it left and right, as it flung its magic paint around the circus tent. "You can laugh, Jingle, but you don't own the night, you don't own these people, and you don't own me. And, my friend, all your power was given to you. So you don't even own yourself!" he concluded, as the magic ink started to light up the circus tent. With that, he made his way to the Circus control, where all the lights and loudspeakers (and pyrotechnics) were monitored and manipulated. He fancied a cheery Circus music...
  8. So Mess is bounding after the hangman - does he see where he is? and how far away if so? the Mess is currently at full boost so speed 6 (500mph/4400' rnd) and Leaping 6 (Running Jump 1800'), plus in alternate form so has wall crawling 3 and slithering - i.e. pretty mobile and fast.
  9. What the? Tazel? Carmen couldn't recognise the language. Latin? It smelled pretty sorcerous to her. Tazel's writhing scream was not natural either, at least, not natural for Tazel. She doubted the little imp would go that far to fool her. Although nothing was impossible when demon's were concerned. "Blast this, what in damnation is going on?" she yelled up to both John and Tazel. Even without Tazel firing up her flesh, she could summon the black magic of the infernal forge, the realm of endless fire, smoke and metal, and bring it forth. But she was three floors down, in the back of an alley...
  10. Despite liking Popcorn, Rene preferred French Cuisine. He had gone home to collect a small hip flash of fine Claret, and a basket of bread, ham, and mustard. He also decided to dress up for the occasion, wearing a more flamboyant and gay bright red waistcoat and trappings. He would not have looked too out of place flying above the streets of Freedom City with a cape fluttering in the wind, so forceful was his color. But he decided he was to enjoy himself tonight. For the most part, he stayed in the sidelines, behind the scenes. He befriended Nelly the Elephant with a ham baguette, and befriended Lars the Strongman with his claret. He chatted to all, trying to calm nerves and provide reassurance. As much for himself as the crew.
  11. "Roseus?" "Now I get the pink thing" said Pitch, almost smiling through black and red teeth. A demon gone rogue? Nothing against it, you can't define the undefinable...if anything was true about demons it was that their nature was mecurial and unbound. That wouldn't mean that she trusted Nikki, yet. But it was a step closer away from mistrust. And after all, an enemy of my enemy... She stepped forward boldly to address Tadyofyla. "Nothing here for you" she said firmly. "Only defeat. You can go back to whence you came with your head hung between your legs, or you can go home with your head and legs ripped off" she said, smoking away. "As for your mercenaries" she said addressing them directly. "Whatever you are being paid, it isn't enough. Cannon fodder is cannon fodder, and all the gold in the world is of no value to worm-meat..."
  12. Chipping in: I see challenge for fast acrobatic feint, but not the base acrobatic feint feat?
  13. Ill delay action I think (till initiate 12) - lets see what John is up to!
  14. They are indeed, and their toughness rolls are: url=http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/4301638/]1d20+9=22, 1d20+9=26, 1d20+9=28 Assuming you take20 and autofire, thats a +3 DC, meaning only one Gasman is still standing, the other two, you KO. Post away!
  15. Post away, the T Rexs will fall for it, follow you to say 250 feet away from dome, enough for the rest of you to sneak up to it.
  16. Ill delay action and see whats what!
  17. That works ok for me, Thev, go ahead with that. I think it will need a bluff roll to trick them - lets call it DC 10 with the normal -5 penalty for no speaking da lingo "Dinosaur". It would normally be lower, but the cybernetics in them do broadly speaking make them act as guards. They are a little disinclined to leave the dome. (And no, the T Rex's dont find Velocity Attractive... )
  18. ok i await your cut then!
  19. 1d20+6=19 for Pitch. I don't know whats up with Tazel, but I guess thats for you to juice me with! Right, she has a serious problem with mobility here - so is there anything in terms of fire escapes or the like? Otherwise, I will delay action till we see what old John does!
  20. Hmmm, at this point I am inclined towards cutting scene to the evening cant think of much else to do - although I quite fancy getting to know the circus crew and see if the human cannonball, lion tamer, and fire breather could help if need be? Thoughts?
  21. Roo , you want to get a post in before I cut scene? I think you had been half asked a question about spandex etc? We can assume that en route Jasmine will have access to all her equipment and devices back.
  22. Id suggest Hound/Mess run that list of supervillians, as Hound was in the FCPD...if you need an HP or roll for that, let me know THev. Happy to do a short cameo for Lucy if you want a cut scene to that for a bit.
  23. Harry sniffed slightly. "The database sounds good. I have some old friends down their who could probably run it for me, as a favour" he explained. "Leave that to me, see if I can come up with anything, pull a few strings, that sort of thing" "As for your voodoo friends, all that hocus pocus. I don't want to know. I want to sleep at night..." he shuddered. "If it gets a result, then I ain't complaining, but just don't tell me how you got it, understand? I'll be thinking about dissected frogs and goat's blood potions for weeks on end..." "And as for Cranky, well, I'm sure you can placate him with your charms, eh? Adrian Eldritch, Nick Cimittiere, those guys might be freaky magicians but they don't sound that cranky, and at least they can deliver the goods, haha. Now, if you went for some old fool pretender like...like what's that guys name, Rene DeSaens, all cranky arrogance and nothing to show for it, then I would be worried for you...hahahah..." he chuckled nervously.
  24. "Well we shouldn't split up any more. We need to hold up here, tight and safe" said Carmen. "Meanwhile, I'm going to check out those places, starting with the nearest, namely, the back of this manor" she said, her mind made up. "After all, its the closest, and secondly, it poses the most direct threat to everyone here. If there are demons in this manor we need to flush them out, secure this place properly" she reasoned. "And whilst I do that, please tell me there are some vehicles operational in this island? I would settle for a bicycle..." she implored to Alex. The thought of hiking further on an already complaining leg was far from appealing. "I'll need a few people and a few guns behind me, to cover the entrance as I go in.,.." she offered, asking for volunteers. "And then, someone to show me just where the back of this manor is..."
  25. Ok, so Amir is free to do whatever! Havoc, if you want to follow Kabir, its a stealth roll. He will be getting out at the top floor - which is unoccupied as far as you can see tonight (feel free to fluff how you know its the top floor - Boomstick has most of the building wired up)
