GM Kit recognised Filth. He was hard to forget. If anything, he looked even more scrawny and ragged. And tired. His ginger hair was mopped and greasy, and his clothes ripped and dirty. And on his shoulder, the rat demon, vermin. The little creature's black eyes were darkly unremarkable at first glance, but gave one the unnerving impression of a deeper intelligence than his human companion. "You got it?" asked Filth, his voice a little creakier and worn than Kit remembered. "I got it, just like you said" said the thug, handing over the pizza box and parcel. "Dug it up out of the cemetery, just like you said. Gotta say, that place gave me the spooks, real big time. I thought Nick CImitiere was 'round every damn tree and stone..." he said, gulping. "You did good, you did good" said Filth, patting his youthful minion on the shoulder in an affectionate way. "This is what our man Stan needs..." he said, caressing the parcel lovingly. He looked up, not seeing Kit but flaring his nostrils. "Wait...I smell something...someone...something I smelled before..." he said, frowning and sweating.

Boris responds by taking partial cover by the tracked vehicle and taking an aim action. Hronos is up once again.

GM The Russian clocked his rifle once more. "I cannot be the surrender, machine" he called out. "My mission is to protect scientific finding for Russia. I will not be abandoning mission!" he shouted, but his voice was more one of grim determination than anger. "You being the surrender!" he said "You stay out of way, go back America! Leave Russian findings for the Russia!" he said, in his limited diplomatic way. He did not fire, but merely took aim with his rifle. "Or I being showing you excessive force! I will not be the abandoning the mission!"

GM Cruxberry recognised Dee instantly. He gave a quick look at Smith, seeking his affirmative. "The primary option was not feasible" said the stony even voice of the large agent who was still stiffly and expertly holding his enormous briefcase and equally enormously gun in his left and right hand respectively. He cut an imposing build, and his voice cut an efficient tone. "The secondary target has agreed to terms and signed the official secrets act" he said. Cruxberry - an efficient military man himself - still has the slight look of wonder at the almost machine like Smith, a micro-spasm in his forehead revealing his disturbance. Still, the man was good at his job, that was clear. "If you can fix it, that would increase our operation effectiveness. Right now, we are down and out" he explained. "Just make sure it isn't booby trapped...whoever did this knew damn well how to do it..."

Roo, as the relationship with Blackpool is the key one for Catalsyt, I'm going to throw this past you at this juncture: Do you wish for Blackpool to be successfully adbucted (GM fiat and all), or leave it to the dice to decide (or if you have any other thoughts or alternatives). Ill go with the "leave it to the dice to decide" option by default, but throwing this to you first as its a key point for later stories and relationships at this early juncture.

Pitch kept quiet initially, smoking with that nasty odour of sulphur, a haze that gently flowed from her body. I don't know what rules forged those chains, but I'm going to break every last one of them...she etched onto her brain. Like the rules that enslave me? asked the demon grumbling in her belly. A question Pitch was not inclined to answer, but knew it itched. She gripped the Cantos Cane firmly and took a deep breath, exhaling the smoke and flame of Tazel. She did not, she realised, look exactly reassuring when one was discussing the infernal. "I guess you could charge them for stealing some carpet" she joked, trying to make light of the situation. "But I doubt they would be interested in a return" she explained, shrugging her shoulders. "Portal, and case, closed" she finished. Although in her head, there was far more to understand of the mysterious history here...

GM "As long as its civil" answered the bartender, cracking his knuckles and giving the Osprey a meaningful look. "Show's over folk. If you want to see some blood, go donate your own to the hospital" he said to the sighs of the crowd who obviously liked a good piece of unconventional entertainment. Upstairs at the Dog's Tail... Bullet Tony was playing cards with two other heavies, both bruised and experienced thugs by the look of it. Not your regular brawlers either, from the looks of them. These were experienced enforcers, veterans of more dust ups than you could easily count. Bullet Tony looked up. He was missing one tooth, bald and had a nose that had been smeared over his face from the fists of years. But he looked rather handsome despite it. For all his ferocity, or - in a few cases, because of it - he had a way with the ladies. "You got some serious brain damage if you stupid enough to walk in here dressed like that" he said to Osprey in a droll verse. "Impressive enough for me to ask why, instead of adding to the mush in your head..."
-
GM A hushed silence fell across the crowd. Stopping at least one other half-fight and several drunken amorous encounters. Silence did not fall in the Dog's tail often. Even the Juke Box, playing the Sex Pistols "Anarchy in the UK" died down after Johnny Rotten finished his last wail. Its the Opsrey... I heard about him... Don't mess... The faintest of whispers came from the corners of the dingy pub. The bartender was a tall and strong man, no doubt used to wrestling out the worst of his customers. He had a broken nose and grey hair, and looked like he could hold his own against the worst of them. Or the best. "Bullet Tony?" he asked, trying to keep a level stare. "You come to the right place. But even the Dog's Tail can only handle so much blood and broken bones. I don't want carnage here. I don't want the police..." A jeer came from a few braver corners of the pub at the word "police"... "...marching in here with a SWAT team. And bullet Tony, upstairs is his castle...A man don't go into a castle without being invited, see...."

"Damn straight" replied the Mess with a bloody grin oozing from his bloody lips. If the wobbly congealed mass of blood he had become had anything that could be defined as lips. He grimaced inside. He should really look after this bozo...but... But the Hangman was getting away... That was wrong. A killer like that needed to be put down, and put away. And these bozo's looked like they could cut the man down. "I'm not letting that guy get away with it...." he shouted to the world, his mouth following unbidden where his slow brain had worked. "Or there will be more bodies hanging from rooftops!" he yelled, as his bloody form boiled and fizzed, exploding with energy. And then he was off! Bounding, leaping, and running, across buildings, rooftops, and the street, leaving a splodgy trail of blood behind him.
-
Ok So Mess will Boost himself as a standard Action, And then bound away after the Hangman as a move action! He will have Speed 6 (4400 ft / rnd or 500mph) and wall crawling 3 for that.

CURVEBALL THROWN by GIZMO 25 PP to spend on Pitch, mainly Ironing out the Creases before a PL bump! Some minor fluff changes. Notes on equipment (free from Orichalum Award) and her fathers diaries. 2 PP: CHA +2 (On a separate note, Enhanced CON reduced and noted) 4 PP: Saves Fort +3, Reflex +2 3 PP: Skills. Knowledge (Theology/Philosophy) 4, Perform 2, Perform 2, Survival 2, Disable Device 2. I reckon she would know a bit about demons in theology, Ill make her top out on amateur music skills, and disable device and survival represent her being a rogue as a kid. 5 PP: Feats. Losing Quick change (what I was after comes below!) Fascinate, Rage 2 (Better placed here than in an array), Improved Initiative, Power Attack, Ultimate Effort, and I draw your attention to Benefit 1 - Owns her fathers diary (essentially if consulted gives +4 Bonus to Knowledge rolls pertaining to the infernal) - this feels the neatest way to do this (I suppose I could build a device but it feels clunky) Equipment (free) - A big nice motorcycle, complete with space to hide her shotgun and diaries. Knuckledusters and Camera. She probably wont need these, but it fits with being a rebel without a cause... Powers 9 PP: Alternate Form now continuous and no drawback (looks neater!). The form is a bit altered: losing 2 points of enhanced CON, Losing Rage feat from Enhanced Strength, Losing Starvation Immunity. Those 4 PP plowed back into Feature (Conceals Appearance) and Dark Vision [2PP] bumped up to Counters Visual Obscure [5PP] (so she can see through smoke too...) Tazel Array is also altered (Increased to summoning 9, drawbacks bought off) 1 PP: Limited Immunity to Aging and Poison now broken down into Full immunity to Aging and Limited immunity to Poison and Disease 1 PP: Protection Power bumped up to level 3 and to keep things more coherent and simple, power drawback changed to if spinal tattoo covered. Adds up to 25 PP! AP: Summon 9 (Tazel expelled; Extras: Fanatical, Heroic, Duration (Continuous); Feats:Mental Link ) (46PP) Drawbacks: (-0) + (-0) = -0PP DC Block ATTACK RANGE SAVE EFFECT Unarmed* Touch DC 16/21 Toughness Damage (Physical) Infernal Blast Ranged DC 25 Toughness Damage (Varies) Breathe Fire Cone DC 23 Toughness Damage (Energy) Infernal Chain Ranged DC 25 Reflex Snare Smoke Ranged DC 22 Fortitude Suffocation Devil Stick Touch DC 17 Toughness Damage (Physical) Bind Devil Touch DC 25 Will Mind Control Bind Animal Touch DC 25 Will Mind Control Exorcism Touch DC 25 Will Nullify Totals: Abilities (24) + Combat (40) + Saving Throws (16) + Skills (18) + Feats (9) + Powers (98) - Drawbacks (0) = 205/205 Power Points CURVEBALL THROWN by GIZMO

1d20+6=22 for his fort save. He does now have two darts in him, and they have the poison modifiers...so... Anyway post that IC...

That sounds good to me. Catalyst 1 HP IN which case let both parties make a DC 10 Acrobatics or DEX check to avoid getting tripped from the collision: 1d20+3=23 Catalyst can react if she doesn't get tripped with an attack. He does, of course, remain invisible!

TT, could I have a straight CHA roll from Cannonade to get his bar room "presence". Default he is a nobody unwelcome loser in a pub he don't belong. DC 10 to have enough of a presence to get a response, and +2 on future diplomacy/intimidate/bluff rolls. DC 20 to look super cool and own the joint, and get +5 on future social rolls. This is not just for the response he gets from the guys he questions (and you may want a subsequent diplomacy or intimidate roll depending on your manner), but the atmosphere he generates.

GM Meanwhile, in the power room... "Someone clever. And someone on the inside. Possibly somebody who wants to stop us finding Vanguard, given the timing. Above all someone dangerous" answered Cruxberry, keeping his gun up. "So yes, consider yourself employed, and this is your first day of employment. Welcome to the Vanguard, part 2..." he said in crisp military tones. The power room was small, but secure. The locks were mechanical, a number key code, rather than electronic, a foresight on Cruxberry's part, as he punched in the pass. The emergency power generator looked, at first glance, unremarkable. There was no evidence of damage or mischief.

GM The gun hissed in Jasmine's hand, and she saw the slightly heated dart, a fuzzy blur of infrared, strike an invisible target, at which point it, too, disappeared. "Ouch! Damn you!" hissed the invisible man, grunting with the effort of what was, presumably, a firemans lift of Blackpool. "That's a damn sedative dart! last thing I need! I'm going to bust your ass...." he shouted. "...later...." he added, before the shuffling of feet hit the floor, and he was out of the door. he was clearly lumbering under the weight of Blackpool, but he was a strong man, and he knew what he was doing. The sound of footsteps echoed down the corridors of power...

1d20+6=22 Luck finally pays off on him! For reference Catalyst 2 HP He will respond by moving and moving at 2/3 speed. He is not particularly fast but thats still 40 feet down the corridors of power! Mr I also knows his way round the building extremely well - as he worked there. Lets move out of combat and have an opposed roll with Catalyst Notice roll vs his Stealth to see if you can follow him. On the one hand I will give him a bonus for knowing the terrain and being smart enough to use it to his advantage, on the other hand, he is carrying a big load, so I am going to fudge it and says it cancels out. Notice roll from Jasmine please! she has 1d20+11=24 to beat.

Not bloody mess? (although he is still supporting the guy I suppose!)
